CHAN - 2ris

Chan and Iris have known each other the longest out of anyone in the group, having trained for 7 years and 4 years respectively, and this is reflected in their friendship. They are the most affectionate with one another out of anyone in the group and arguably spend the most time together. Nothing is off limits to them, and they are quite literally inseparable. When spotted on camera with one another, they are frequently connected with one another. Hip pats as they pass, shoulder kisses, and back hugs are the most common between them. Their friendship mostly comprises of being there for one another and doing their best to help each other. Both, however, are workaholics and tend to forget what sleep is. More than once other members or friends walked into the recording studio to find the both of them passed out on a small couch or even a too-small armchair. They also unintentionally and intentionally write certain songs about each other.

MINHO - minris

Iris is not generally playful or snarky, but Minho seems to be the best at getting Iris playful and teasing out anyone in the group and any of Iris’s friends. While they do genuinely care about each other, with Minho essentially being her best friend within the group, they interact the most through blatant teasing and playful banter. Additionally, despite being their only female member, she is not excluded from his butt-tapping, though originally he kept it to taping/squeezing her hip. Even though they were both previously the main dancers, Iris will still revert to his leadership when it comes to the group choreography and has always respected his position as DANCERACHA's leader.

CHANGBIN - binris

Changbin, hilariously, was originally absolutely terrified of Iris upon originally meeting her. They were introduced to one another through Chan, who was incredibly entertained by Iris being confused about why Changbin seemed to avoid her. Only when they ran into each other at a convenience store late at night and Iris paid for his snacks did he start to loosen up around her. Since then, they’ve been good friends, with Changbin often being one of the more demanding members of Iris’s affection. Changbin can always count on Iris coming to the gym with him, and she can always count on him for cuddles and musical input.

HYUNJIN - jinris

Iris’s #1 model. Iris loves taking photos of her friends and pretty much anything she thinks is pretty, but most of all she adores taking photos of Hyunjin. He's also the cause behind the fandom nickname of "Auntie Iris" because of a time when Hyunjin equated her to the "fun aunt" trope. Hyunjin is also the most common offender of sleeping in Iris’s bed, between both dorms and now has a habit of crashing her apartment. While they were trainees Iris was quick to take him under wing when it became clear to her that Chan wanted the dancer on their team. He resisted at first, spouting a massive fight between the two that the members still bring up today, which was resolved when it became clear to Hyunjin that Iris wasn't belittling him or believing herself superior to him like he thought, she just actually cared about his wellbeing.

JISUNG - jiri/hanri

Jisung and Iris’s friendship is a strange one, that confuses practically everyone who meets them. Both had crushes on each other at different times while being trainees and yet they act like siblings. Both would probably kill JYP if the other asked. Many new STAYs incorrectly think that they’re secretly dating, and more than once they’ve been asked if they are. Iris fake-gagging is usually a good enough answer. Iris, while attentive to all the members, is exceptionally so with Jisung, often standing next to him during interviews and is always an arm or less away from him in case he needs it. While all of 3RACHA helped on her solo album, Jisung was the person she sought the most input from, being the only member that was graced with the full album before it was released, something he still holds over the others' heads.

FELIX - irix/lixri

While Iris would tell you that she doesn’t have a favourite, she would tell you that Felix is best to spend downtime with. The duo act like siblings, with Felix more than once stating that Iris is like an older sister to him. The two of them end up rooming together on tour quite a bit and are subject to many ‘soft moment’ compilations from stays. Iris literally never turns down Felix’s physical affection and he’s easily the person that she naps on the most so it's a win-win. Iris doesn't tend to be very talkative on camera, but she's often in the background of the guys antics, more often than not napping on Felix. Felix is also one of the most frequent visitors to her apartment, though that is due to being invited over for baking nights.

SEUNGMIN - siri/imin

The two "quiet and normal" members of Stray Kids, who both have the capacity to be the loudest when they feel like. Frequently just sitting in the background and observing compared to other members. Iris never shies away from reminding Seungmin how great he is and how much she loves him, and will never not be supporting his vocals. Despite being older than Chan, she has never been on the receiving end of his "old" jokes, leading others (especially STAY) to tease him for having a soft spot for the oldest. That doesn't mean he won't tease her for every other thing, which she takes in stride knowing that at the end of the day, they are still close friends.

JEONGIN - jeongri

Iris has a lot of children at this point, but Jeongin is the only member of Stray Kids who seems to qualify as one of Iris's children. He's on the receiving end of her "affectionate nagging" (making sure he's eating, if he's cold, has he drank enough water) and the member that Iris is the most protective over. All it takes is a text or call from him and she'll be by his side. On the flip side, Jeongin absolutely adores the eldest and seems to have developed the habit of mothering the eldest, to Iris and the other's amusement.

9/25/23 (Day Two)

Jinri sat quietly in her seat doodling on her notebook while waiting for the lesson to begin. Her best friend sitting beside her, engrossed in something that played on her phone.

Just then the door to the classroom opened and in walked Dean Jang along with a tall and really gorgeous guy, which for some odd reason she feels has seen before, but can’t quite remember where.

Dean Jang then cleared her throat before speaking, "Everyone, please listen up"

Jinri put her pen down and looked up to see what Dean Jang had to say. "Alright now that I have all of your attention, I want to introduce you all to Park Jisung, he will be attending Decelis Academy from now onward, please make sure you all make him feel welcome.”

Jinri watched as Dean Jang talked to Jisung quietly before signaling him towards where she and Wonyoung are. She also watched as he nervously looked around while walking, and then their eyes met. And Jinri knew who he was.

She quickly turned away and looked at Wonyoung who was still looking down at her phone typing a text to who seemed to be Sunghoon. “Wonyoung!” She softly called for her friends name.

Wonyoung looked up in confusion and looked at her friend in the eye. “Yeah?” Wonyoung replied quietly.

Jinri signaled with her eyes for her to look forward at the guy that was sitting down in front of them. Wonyoung tilted her head to the side, and then looked back at Jinri.

“Isn’t he… you know, park boy?” Wonyoung asked as quietly as she could.

Jinri nodded, glancing back at the boy sitting in front of them. And that’s when she noticed his hair, it was a beautiful navy blue color. And it suited him really well.

And then they heard Heeseung, talking to Jisung. And at the sound of Jisung’s voice, Jinri’s mouth dropped. His voice was just a pretty as him, a deep, but soothing and soft voice. A voice so pretty, so pretty that it sounded melodic.

“His voice is so… so, so pretty, how can one be so perfect,” Jinri whispered to Wonyoung in disbelief.

Wonyoung giggled softly at her friends antics. And then leaned forward to tap on Heeseung’s shoulder. “Introduce us your new friend,” Wonyoung smirked as she nudged Jinri’s shoulder.

Heeseung raised an eyebrow in confusion as to why Wonyoung was requesting that. But regardless, Heeseung still told Jisung to meet his two friends.

When Jisung turned around, Jinri’s eyes went wide for a split second and then looked away in nervousness.

Jisung watched as her eyes went wide for a second and then as she looked away as if trying to avoid him. And at the action, his face fell a little, but regardless he smiled at the other girl.

“Jisung, this is Wonyoung and Jinri,” Heeseung introduced both girls and signaled to who’s who.

Wonyoung being the only one engaging in conversation said, “Sorry about Jinri, she’s a little shy”

Wonyoung then tapped Jinri’s shoulder and she looked up from the book she was doodling on. “Don’t be rude, say hi,” Wonyoung said and pointed at Jisung.

But before she could say ‘hi’ they were interrupted by the teacher, “Quiet down back there, we’re starting the lesson, Heeseung could you please show Jisung where we are in the text book?”

And both boys turned around to begin the lesson. They began the lesson and not even ten minutes in, Heeseung’s phone was going off nonstop.

And Jisung being the curios person he was he peaked when Heeseung looked down at his phone. And in the texts he saw a picture of Jinri, along with a heart. And his heart sank.

And then Heeseung turned around to look behind Jisung, where Jinri was sitting. And he was also able to see him smirk at her, and that made his stomach churn and twist.

He really has no chance. And it seems like she doesn’t like him.

typically on these type of trips, jinri would be holed up in her hotel room until it was time to make a public appearance, but this time around, the room she normally would've found solace in was suffocating. whenever she enter that room it was constant business talk and planning for the next day, which only made her more upset. it's one of the reasons why she was so eager to join suji once an invitation to accomapny the actress was extended. she didn't know much about the destination prior to suji mentioning it, but she wouldn't have needed to know much anyway. she'd let suji lead her where ever in the world suji wanted to explore. they had similar tastes after all, so it was difficult for suji would take her anywhere she wouldn't enjoy at all.

"suji," the idol whined, "i don't mind getting dragged around before getting what i was somewhat promised, but there's no need to buy me anything. i can pay for it myself. people might start thinking i'm the younger one." jinri brings her free hand up to rest lightly on suji's bicep, practically gluing herself to her friend's side. "you can still pick something out. who knows, maybe i'll find something for you and take pictures of you as well?" she eyes the jacket the other laid her hands one before looking around, letting out a content sigh. "how long have you been wanting to come here? everything's so bright and pretty," and a little overwhelming, but it's nothing she hasn't managed before. "it's giving me ideas. it's a shame i didn't bring my notebook." it didn't actually bother her that she couldn't write down her thoughts, because she knew this was something she wouldn't easily forget.

when suji learned this year's gala was going to be held in thailand, she was adamant on penciling in a trip to the rod fai night market. the night market seemed like a destination tailored especially for suji — delicious street cuisine, makeshift bars with a variety of cheap and tasty cocktails, and vintage memorabilia suji never even dreamt of laying her eyes on. but the tasty drinks and rare antiques were only one of many purposes the night market would serve suji tonight. the night market was also an exquisite and vibrant sight, and she wanted to capture every inch of it.

which is exactly why she dragged jinri along on her trip out to the market — seeing as the idol was by far her most favorite model. linking arms with the girl, a relaxed smile settles on her lips as she runs her fingers along the sleeve of a vintage jacket. "okay, i know i said we'd come here to eat — but i really can't pass up taking a look at all these vintage shops. and maybe buying you a couple of cute vintage things and taking photos of you in them."

Jinri let out a frustrated sigh pushing herself away from the small desk. The girl rubbed a hand over her face, trying hard to wake herself up at the ungodly hour of night it was. It was late and all of the buttons and soundwaves were beginning to blur together right before Jinri’s eyes and no matter how much she wanted to finish the current song she was working, she knew that it was completely unrealistic that it would even happen.

The girl shook her head slightly, trying to wake herself up just a tiny bit, reaching forward to press the save button ( she had one too many slip ups for this to become second nature to her ) before she got up from her chair, stretching for the first time in hours.

Water. That was the only thing on her mind, her throat dry and scratchy from the hours she had been sitting working on the music. She picked up the long forgotten water bottle that was teetering on the edge of the desk before walking out of the room and making her way down the hallway.

The hallways at KQ were quiet, not a single sound could be heard from any of the studios, though that was understandable since most of the people in those rooms didn’t push themselves to stay up to ungodly hours just to finish one song. She sighed as she made her way over to the water fountain, filling the bottle up quickly and turning on her heel to go back to her very uncomfortable chair, with the hope that she could finish the song she was working on.

Jinri hummed under her breath, the small melody she had started filling her head when she noticed a light coming from the door right next to her. Hongjoong. Of course Hongjoong was still in his studio this late at night. She had been sharing a wall with the boy ever since they had each gotten their own studios, she knew that he stayed in the studio far too late ( not that she could really talk, though ).

She let out a sigh, shaking her head since she knew there was no way she could talk herself out of bugging the boy. Her feet moved practically on their own, bringing her over to the door, knocking on the door without so much as a second thought. Jinri paused, tucking her blonde hair behind her ears as she waited for the boy to respond.

Seconds passed before Jinri huffed, pushing open the door only to find Hongjoong sitting with his back turned to the door, headphones on top of his muffed up blue hair. The boy didn’t even move when Jinri slammed the door open, too engrossed in the now song he was creating to notice the girl crossing the room to poke him on the shoulder.

The boy jumped with just a small poke, turning to look at the intruder with a hand over his heart. His eyes fell on Jinri’s frame, letting out a sigh of relief at the sight of the girl.

“God, Jinri! You scared the shit out of me!” he sighed, sounding almost out of breath as he pulled the headphones off his head, music blaring out of them so loud that Jinri could almost make out every word.

“Maybe if you didn’t listen to your music at full volume you would have heard me knock on the door.”

He made a face, mumbling a high pitched version of her words as he turned back to his computer, pausing the loud music coming out of his head phones. He turned back to look at Jinri, looking at her with questioning eyes as he waited for a explanation as to why she was wondering into his studio so late at night.

Hongjoong raised an eyebrow, looking the girl up and down. “Is that my sweatshirt?”

Jinri looked down at the clothing in question. The light pink, oversized sweatshirt hung on her small frame, looking even bigger than it had looked on Hongjoong when he wore it. She remembered the night a few months ago where she had been sitting in this very studio and Hongjoong had passed her his sweatshirt without so much as a word. Jinri almost forgot that it was Hongjoong’s with the amount of times she had worn it in her freezing studio.

She looked back up at the boy, who still had a questioning look in his eyes. “No?”

“Sure,” he responded, rolling his eyes and turning back towards his computer. “So, what actually brings you here?”

Jinri just shrugged. “Can’t stand the thought of locking myself in my studio again.”

Hongjoong just hummed in response, nodding his head toward the lone chair in the corner of his studio and Jinri knew that he was inviting her to stay. She plodded over to the chair, rolling right next to Hongjoong’s own before she dropped into it, pulling her feet close to her chest.

“You wanna watch Avatar?” the boy asked quietly as Jinri watched him save his files shut off the music program he was working on. He turned and looked at the girl when she didn’t answer, his head tilted slightly as he waited for a response.

“Sure,” she nodded.

Without a word, Hongjoong pulled up the show and turned it on. The two sat in silence watching the cartoon flash before them. In most cases, Jinri thought, it would have been awkward, to be honest Jinri wasn’t sure she could sit silently with Jangmi for this long. This silence, however, wasn’t anywhere near awkward, just two people enjoying the silence together.

Jinri didn’t know when her and Hongjoong’s relationship took a turn. She vividly remembered first meeting the boy, both of them very new to the company and bright, young Hongjoong was far too perfect and hardworking for Jinri’s liking. Though, if Jinri thought about it, she’s pretty sure Hongjoong hasn’t changed too much and maybe, just maybe Jinri was the one that had grown up just a bit. 

Jinri and Hongjoong weren’t friends, at least that's what Jinri kept telling herself. Sure, they slept together, though that was just a way to keep their needs in check with all of their hectic schedules. Sleeping together meant nothing, she could sleep with someone she barely knew if she really wanted to, but there was still some sort of change between her and Hongjoong and she couldn't place her finger on in. Somewhere along the line something changed a bit and Jinri found it harder and harder to keep saying that they weren’t friends.

A small snore came from beside her, bringing her out of her thoughts. Hongjoong snored lightly beside her, his head back against his chair as the show played lightly in the background. Jinri found herself smiling just a bit, of course Hongjoong would fall asleep, the boy could fall asleep anywhere if given the chance. She was glad that the boy was finally getting some sleep, everyone knew he needed it, and she felt her heart flutter knowing that Hongjoong would be just as happy to see her get some rest.

"I don't know. I wanted to spend time with my family in the province too but since they will be having a business trip in the US, I won't be able to spend time with them. I think I will be just here alone and have some "me" time," Y/N said.

"I have an idea," Jinri said.

"What is that?" Y/N asked.

"Download and try our app," Jinri said which made Y/N surprised.

"Jinri, I told you many times I don't want to try the app of the company where we are working, okay?" Y/N said.

"Why not? Also, it doesn't mean if you will hire to be your private escort it means there will be sex involved at all times and private escorts can just accompany you and will just hang out with you," Jinri said which made Y/N sigh.

"Fine! I'll try the app. Did you also try using the app?" Y/N asked.

"Yup! Many times already and one of them became my friend," Jinri said as she smiled.

"Oh Really? But sorry to ask you this, by any chance did you have sex with that guy?" Y/N asked.

"Nope! To be honest, sometimes we hang out with our other friends. Also, he is really a good and funny guy," Jinri said.

"Why do you think so?" Y/N asked.

"I don't know. I just feel it when you see him in person," Jinri said as she winked at her which made Y/N chuckle.

"Anyways, I will download the app now and check out the available man that can accompany me for the vacation this week," Y/N said.

"Okay! But do you also have a plan to have sex with the guy that you will choose?" Jinri asked which made Y/N gulp.

"I don't know. It depends on the situation," Y/N said, which made Jinri slightly laugh.

"Oh okay! I understand, Y/N," Jinri said. At that time, while Jinri is doing something in her room, Y/N downloaded the Private Escort for Hire app and made an account. As she checked out each man's profiles nothing piqued her interest because some of them just wanted to have sex and nothing else. Then there was a man who suddenly piqued her interest because he wanted to hang out with other people like they are close friends but...

"Why does it have to be that expensive if I will just hire him as my private escort and hang out with him for a week?" Y/N said loudly and sighed, then Jinri heard it.

"Why? Can you show me who was the guy you are referring to?" Jinri asked, then Y/N showed his profile and Jinri slightly smiled.

"He is cute though! He might have reasons why his service is expensive," Jinri said.

"I think so. I bet this guy named Keeho has a lot of clients and I think he is a high-class private escort," Y/N said.

"You really want to hire him?" Jinri asked.

"Yes! I want to hire him badly but his service is so expensive," Y/N said which made Jinri laugh.

"I am not gonna lie, but you sound so desperate," Jinri said which made Y/N sigh.

"I just think I will really have fun with him for a week when I meet him and talk to him. I think I'll just check out other men," Y/N said.

"Okay! I hope you will be able to find the guy that can accompany you on this week's vacation," Jinri said.

"I hope so!" Y/N said as she sighed. After an hour of checking out the other men's profiles, she just couldn't stop looking at Keeho's profile and Jinri noticed it and smirked.

NEXT DAY...

While Jinri is going to the cafe to buy some drinks for them, she suddenly decides to call someone before she goes back to the apartment.

THEIR CONVERSATION:

Jinri: Keeho!

Keeho: Oh! Hey, Jinri! Why did you call?

Jinri: Well, I told you a lot about my friend who is living with me in the apartment, right?

Keeho: Yes! Why? 

Jinri: To be honest, she started to check out the app and she suddenly found your profile.

Keeho: Okay? Then what happened?

Jinri: She wanted to hire you so badly because she thinks she will have fun with you.

Keeho: Really? But why didn't she hire me?

Jinri: Your service is so expensive dude!

Keeho: *laughs* I see! Can you send me a photo of her?

at the question about what she thinking, there’s an uncharacteristic lack of confidence from the songwriter. “i don’t know, maybe something following in the trajectory i left off with my last release? but not quite?” the songwriter pauses, weighing out the different concepts she was playing around with to find the most thought out one. “i was considering doing something around the theme of a letter to my past self. potentially even branching off into self-love in the face of adversity? i haven’t really solidified the theme, but i know i need a break from writing about relationships until i have a new experience. parasite drained all that i could’ve written about my relationships, and i don’t want to become a broken record by releasing songs that are the same but with different titles.” this was one of the very few times she openly admitted that her lyrics were typically based off of real life instances. whatever excuse she makes for the fans was typically what she stuck to, but she felt no need to keep up that image with suji. “yeah, i want whatever i release next to be like a letter to my past self and hopefully it’s something that other people can find comfort from as well. that’s why i brought up the whole hair cutting question because i think it’d be nice to reference past releases as well.  i’m just nervous the company may have a different vision for my music. i barely made it out of omg and ditto with my sanity, but i don’t think they will be too restrictive regarding that. they approved of tinnitus of all my songs to go to true north. i just need to work through all of my ideas and form a solid proposal.” it’s been a while since she drafted up a proposal for a comeback, and it’s something that makes her a little anxious.

jinri snorts, amused by the retort. she should’ve expected something along those lines, but was still pleasantly surprised and pleased by the words. “you know, i don’t need to be employed for me to willingly be in front of a camera that you are operating. now, if it was someone else? a payment would be required for me to even consider it.” jinri was certain that once she called it quits, she'd completely disappear from the limelight, but suji was one of the few she wouldn't mind making a few public appearances for. “go ahead then, i’m not stopping you. the whole drinking show has me not wanting to even touch a bottle, believe it or not.”

jinri dismisses the apology with a small wave.
