I have a sinking feeling that Secret Number might be on the verge of disbanding. I had such high hopes for them, but it seems the company no longer believes in them. This year, they haven't released any new music, which is a red flag.

"Starlight" was a brilliant title song, yet it was only made available as a digital single, unlike their earlier releases that came with physical albums. The "Doomchita" era was their best for album sales, but during the "Tap" and "Doxa" eras, their sales plummeted even below their debut numbers. It seems that the company opted for digital releases due to the disappointing album sales.

Secret Number lacks a substantial fanbase to sustain a long hiatus without new music. Fans tend to drift away and explore other groups that are actively releasing songs. Without fresh content, attracting new fans becomes a daunting challenge, creating a tough situation for them.

I was so happy when Mizuki got the opportunity to re-debut; I discovered her former group, Skarf, when she joined, and I genuinely enjoyed their music. Seeing Mizuki get a fresh start was exciting. However, I can't shake the feeling that they might have one last comeback before disbanding, or we might hear disbandment news soon. I truly hope I'm mistaken and that they can make a comeback that goes viral, but that’s a rare occurrence.
