Watched a little bit of Joy's appearance on Jinger + Jeremy's podcast, and here are some interesting notes:

Joy and Jinger didn't really interact much growing up. Jinger was the youngest of the "older kids" (the sister-moms plus Josh and JD), and Joy was a tomboy born in the middle of a bunch of boys.

Of the older sisters, Joy says Jinger was the most chill.

Jinger asked Joy if she was ok with the name Evangline after Evelyn was born. Folks online have gotten mad on Joy's behalf, but she personally doesn't mind it. It's only confusing when they're all together, which isn't often.

Joy says the grandkid count is up to 39. (This is a little after the 12 minute mark if anyone wants to go listen.)

That's enough for now. I can only handle so much Jeremy.

Baby Vuolo 3 is on the way!

On Tuesday 15th October 2024, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo shared they are expecting their third child through a YouTube video and a People Magazine article. The couple are already parents to Felicity and Evangeline.

Early, Late or On Time?

This pregnancy was very much late. Based on the miscarriage Jinger had between Felicity and Evangeline, her predicted pace for Baby 3 was 830 days. This would have meant a birth on 1st March 2023, which obviously didn't happen. This birth is predicted to be 746 days late, which is 3.73 SDs late.

Timing of Pregnancy Announcement

Jinger's previous pregnancies had been announced on Day 82 and Day 105. This gave her an average of announcing on Day 94 (13 weeks, 3 days). With this pregnancy, Jinger announced later, on Day 117 (16 weeks, 5 days). Her new average to announce is on Day 101 (14 weeks, 3 days).

Due Date

In her YouTube video, Jinger shares her estimated due date at the time was 27th March 2025. Without any further updates, I will use this to predict Baby 3's birth. In her previous deliveries, Jinger averaged giving birth 1 day after her due date. Therefore, this baby's predicted date of birth is 28th March 2025.

Impact on the Data

This has impacted the Maternal Multiplier a bit (with a higher average spacing in the 30-35 age bracket and a higher Standard Deviation in the same bracket). Hers is the second highest spacing in this age bracket after her sister, Jill's, miscarriage before Freddy's birth. It also impacts on Jinger and Jeremy's predicted pace for future pregnancies.

Baby Four?

If Jinger announces a fourth baby, which is very much not guaranteed given her comments in People magazine, ('So three or four. I don't know. But I think three is what I'm leaning towards right now'), she is predicted to do so in May 2028.

Pregnancy Announcement: 22nd May 2028 Date of Birth: 17th November 2028

Should they decide to keep going after a fourth baby, they are predicted to have a maximum of five children.

Takeaways from Jinger and Jeremy's New Pod Upload

They bought a fake 15 ft christmas tree at costco for $1500.

They said Felicity has a keychain so she can have her unicorn figure at school.

Jeremy paid 600 for his 1 bedroom apartment that he was in when he first met Jinger. They moved into a 2 bedroom apartment upstairs from the original apartment when they got married.

They then moved into a 1200 sq ft house with 4 bedrooms.

Jinger took what I'm assuming a pain killer on the ride home from giving birth to Felicity. She said she did not know what it was.

Jinger is down for an epidural.

Jeremy doesn't get home births with the medical advances we have.

She mentioned their first year of marriage was tough for a lot of reasons including family and mentions her brother's "choices" and tears up.

Jinger and Jeremy are expecting a baby boy! Their first boy after 2 girls Felicity Nicole and Evangline Jo.

Things of note from the article. . .

Jinger and Jeremy say they think they'll have 3-4 kids total.

The pregnancy was "something [they] were expecting," so they were trying.

It doesn't sound like they're actively hoping for a boy (or if they are, they aren't saying as much).

This isn't exclusive to the article but I forgot that Jeremy is 37 to Jinger's 30.

but 2. with the state of abortion rights in my country I actually do feel it's necessary to differentiate between the people who disagree with abortion/other issues and that's the extent of it and the people who are going out of their way to promote and fund anti-choice rhetoric, which is exactly what the Vuolos were doing

and they didn't even just make an appearance at this event and that's that, they made a point to share about it multiple times on their social media accounts, which yea imo is worse. even if you make the argument that all fundies do this in their spare time (debatable), putting it on your social media to your hundreds of thousands of followers is trying to get that much more additional support for your cause. it's throwing all of your weight behind the issue.

the fact that Jeremy and Jinger try so hard to market themselves as "modern" and "progressive" compared to where they came from just adds another layer of anger for me, especially where Jinger's concerned.

she gets to profit off of her story about escaping the control of a Christian fundamentalism while simultaneously helping the same brand of fundamentalism exert control over every woman in America, at a federal level. like whether she's too dense to see the parallels or too cowardly to confront them, i don't care. it's just awful in a way that one of her sisters use a prolife hashtag once every two years isn't.

Baby Vuolo is a boy!

Meet Finnegan Charles Vuolo

On 30th March 2025, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo announced the birth of their third child, Finnegan Charles Vuolo. His middle name was chosen after his paternal grandfather. Finn has two older sisters, Felicity (6) and Evangeline "Evy Jo" (4). He had been born the previous day, which was two days after his due date.

Pregnancy Announcement

The couple announced their pregnancy with Finnegan on 15th October 2024. Jinger was 117 days along at the time (16 weeks, 5 days). They announced they were expecting a boy on 13th January 2025 when Jinger was 207 days along (29 weeks, 4 days).

Effect on the Data

Finnegan was born when Jinger was 31 years old so his birth has had an impact on the 30-35 year old data set. As the gap between Evy and Finn was so big, it has increased the average by a fair amount compared to other single pregnancies. I have also looked at introducing a third child multiplier, to compare how long a couple's third spacing is compared to their second. In Jinger and Jeremy's case, their Evy-Finn spacing was 2.26x longer than their second spacing, which was between Felicity and a loss they experienced in 2019. This brings the average third child multiplier to 1.41x slower than second child spacing (up from 1.35x slower without their data).

What's Next?

Jinger and Jeremy have previously hinted at not wanting many more children, with Jinger suggesting she was happy with three or four kids. So, we'll have to see if Baby 4 does happen. If the couple do decide to expand the family further, they are predicted to announce in May 2028 for a birth that November.
