I kind of wish they hadn't brought Jimmy/Steve back. His leaving before was really sad and shocking but it worked for the story. Bringing him back the way they did for such a short amount of time just felt so pointless. I guess it was meant to bring closure for Fiona but it was so rushed and choppy, it just felt unnecessary.

just rewatched s1 and like....the writers did jimmysteve so dirty after s1!!!!

he was so good then. i wish he didn’t leave. none of fiona’s love interests after him come even CLOSE. i miss him. idc. he’s such a dick in later seasons too? he wasnt that much of an asshole in s1 i feel like. he was so nice to the kids and he bought a house right next to them!! he was ready to settle down w fiona in the south side!! i miss him so bad.

personally i think they were cute but just weren't going to work out, especially since jimmysteve was trying to live a double life without telling fiona abt it. he kinda ruined his chances w fiona as soon as he got hitched with estefania there was no going up from there

also in this particular scene i am siding with fiona because her taking legal guardianship of the kids is not something jimmy deserves to have a say in. especially since it was to save the kids from being split up amongst foster homes.

throughout the relationship he trying to whisk fiona away from her current life and away from her family when she's clearly not ready or willing and that's what i hate most abt jimmy. he came into the relationship knowing fiona's priorities and then didn't respect them, and then when he does he victimizes himself because "it's so hard living in a slum:("

laurel pls i’m so sad abt fiona and jimmysteve 😭 their s3 goodbye was so sad (their s1 and s5 ones were too, like ok gallavich we got some ppl who can rival you) jimmy rly loved fiona, he just had a drug lord behind his back and was a rich kid who wanted a new identity 😒 but pls him saying he just wants to tell fiona goodbye but his phone was thrown away. fiona calling several times and assuming the worst for obvious reasons but she doesn’t want him to leave 😭 she was gonna move just to be with him too, and the kids didn’t even put up much of a fight 😭 sm miscommunication but the parallels with her earlier on saying “are you gonna leave? everyone always leaves.” and “i trust you. that’s bigger to me than i love you.” 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 he was a good malewife and dad <3
