Tell me more of Andy? Jimmi wants to bug them.

Andy grew up in a vault and studied to become a doctor within said vault. When he found out the vault experiment involved dosing certain individuals with unsafe cultures grown in the lab, he quietly replaced all cultures with saline. He was however eventually found out and banished from the vault in the middle of the night with nothing but the clothes on his back and Pip-Boy on his wrist.

In general he's fairly quiet and reserved. That isn't to say he doesn't like talking. He does, but it's rare he gets to talk to people that don't flat out annoy him. So he just won't talk if he isn't interested. If he has to talk when he doesn't want to he is pretty prickly.

His weapon of choice is a ripper— though he is mostly a pacifist and will disengage rather than fight if the conflict only involves someone bothering him. Bothering people he cares about is a different story. That ripper adds a very personal touch to the actions of someone that can be extremely vengeful.

You can find him at his clinic where he is doing his best to help patients with whatever ails them, even if his bedside manner is rotten. In his free time he studies infectious disease because he's a fucking nerd.

Cicero couldn’t recall a time in which Jimmi showed this kind of interest in him. At least, maybe just not so blatantly.

She’s stolen his clothes and hugged on him before, but he’d taken that as affection and mischief- respectively.

But there’s no mistaking this. At first he thought he had something from their meal on his fingers. He wouldn’t have put it past her to lick something from him. But… then she put another one of his fingers into her mouth. Her big eyes stare up at him as he felt her tongue press against his middle and ring fingers in her mouth.

He’s conflicted about the way he feels about this. On one hand, he knows Jimmi isn’t the brightest woman. They are merely friends. On the other hand… she is indeed a woman. And most women required special attention from time to time. Perhaps he was just convenient?

He smiles, long fingers pushing back a little further into her mouth.

“Cute,” he states, seemingly intrigued, “Jimmi hungry? We just ate.” Cicero says, trying not to assume anything.

A significant part of Jimmy Carter’s legacy hasn’t gotten much attention, even amid the recent outpouring of tributes to the 39th US president after he entered hospice care.

These steps Carter took during his presidency are still shaping the United States, decades after he left office. But they didn’t help him at the polls.

Because of Carter’s actions, hundreds of thousands of people fleeing persecution had a chance to come to the United States when he was commander-in-chief. And millions more resettled in the US after he left office.

“He was well aware of the political cost,” says Carter biographer Kai Bird, author of “The Outlier: The Unfinished Presidency of Jimmy Carter.” When it came to taking on tough issues, Bird says, Carter didn’t shy away from doing what he thought was right.

And that’s where Carter found himself in the summer of 1979, making a decision that went against what polls said that most Americans wanted.

The scenes from the other side of the world were devastating.

Hundreds of thousands of people fleeing government oppression in Southeast Asia were taking to the sea, and many were drowning as they tried to escape.

A crisis that began before Carter took office was becoming increasingly dire by the day. In 1978, Carter ordered American ships to pick up refugees fleeing by boat. A year later, the exodus had only intensified.

And as world leaders met to discuss top issues facing their countries, Carter took a dramatic stand, announcing the US would double the number of refugees accepted monthly from the region from 7,000 to 14,000. The move, according to news reports at the time, was aimed at pushing other countries to take similarly significant steps.

It was not politically popular. As writer Thu-Huong Ha noted in a 2016 piece for Quartz, a poll from CBS and The New York Times showed that 62% of Americans disapproved. And a Gallup poll indicated 57% of Americans were opposed to the US relaxing its immigration policies for refugees from the region.

Happy Birthday Scottish actor Ewen Bremner, born January 23rd 1972 in Edinburgh.

Bremner has worked with many of the most respected directors in world cinema, including Danny Boyle, Mike Leigh, Ridley Scott, Joon-Ho Bong, Werner Herzog and Woody Allen. Hen has established himself by creating unique characters in critically acclaimed films, as well as going toe to toe with many of Hollywood's biggest stars.

Ewen had worked widely in theatre, television, and film for years before being cast in his breakout role in Trainspotting, by Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle. He was the first to be cast in the role of Mark Renton in Edinburgh's Traverse Theatre production but lost out to Ewan McGregor in the film version, instead he was handed the role of Spud Murphy and earned screen immortality with his character's infamous "speed fuelled" job interview scene.

Prior to Trainspotting, Bremner gave a striking performance in Mike Leigh's Naked, fellow Scot Susan Vidler played his girlfriend Maggie in this excellent film.

In 1999, Bremner received critical acclaim for his portrayal of a schizophrenic man living with his dysfunctional family in Harmony Korine's Julien, Donkey-Boy. Filmed strictly in accordance with the ultra-realist tenants of Lars Von Trier's Dogma 95 movement and starring opposite Werner Herzog, Bremner played Julien its eponymous hero, requiring him to assume an American accent. He then worked with director Michael Bay in his high-profile 2001 war film Pearl Harbor, proving his versatility once again by portraying the role of a wholeheartedly patriotic American soldier fighting in WWII. The following year, he stepped back into fatigues for a supporting role in Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down, while rounding out the next several years with roles in high-profile Hollywood releases such as The Rundown, Disney's Around the World in 80 Days), AVP: Alien vs. Predator, Woody Allen's Match Point, the comedy Death at a Funeral directed by Frank Oz, and Fool's Gold starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson.

This past few of years proved to be a busy when Bremner was invited to join the DC Universe in the Zack Snyder-produced feature Wonder Woman, directed by Patty Jenkins, co-starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. Ewen also reprised his unforgettable role as Spud in the highly-anticipated sequel to Danny Boyle's cult classic, T2: Trainspotting

Bremner appeared in the TNT Drama Series Will with Shekhar Kapur. The series told the story of the lost years of young William Shakespeare after his arrival to London in 1589 but only lasted one season. Other notable film credits include Woody Allen's You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, Perfect Sense starring again alongside Ewan McGregor, Great Expectations, Jack the Giant Slayer, and Snowpiercer starring alongside Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton. Further credits include Exodus: Gods and Kings, Wide Open Spaces, Mojo, Mediator, Faintheart, Hallam Foe, Sixteen Years of Alcohol, and Snatch.

In television, Ewen has worked on many acclaimed productions including David Hare's Worriker trilogy starring Bill Nighy for BBC, Jimmy McGovern's Moving On and also his Australian mini-series Banished, Strike Back for Sky TV, Dominic Savage's Dive, the Dylan Thomas biopic, A Poet In New York and the adaptation of Day of the Triffids for the BBC. Other noteworthy series appearances include portraying legendary surrealist Salvador Dali in the U.K. television drama Surrealissimo: The Trial of Salvador Dali, and a guest spot on the successful NBC series, My Name is Earl, not to forget an early appearance in Taggart way back in 1990.

Latley Ewen has been one of a number of Scottish actors who are backing a campaign to reopen the Film House cinema in Edinburgh, he has a couple of projects on the go just now, Bluefish, which takes us around the globe to tell stories of people trying to break out of their bubbles of isolation, which I take to mean the Covid pandemic, he also has a film on the go called Roo, but there is nothing to report on that just now.

Jimmi continued to look up into his eyes, as she sighs softly doubting that prewar book she read, she was beginning to think it was a joke book and not as it titled itself. 'How to show a guy your into him.' The semi feral girl rolls her tongue around his index and sucks. Her eyes never breaking contact as she slowly releases him. "No, Jimmi want Cicero." If this didn't work she was already planning on burning the book for kindling.

She seems dismayed at first, he catches a slight shift in her face. A bit of frustration; an actual sigh. He was waiting for an eye roll at that point. His grin widens, sitting unnaturally on his face as he stands firm, letting her move onto his index finger. Each small bit of attention doing it's job in convincing him.

Against what he thought was his better judgement. What was he to do as a mere mortal man with an oral fixation? Who was he to deny a pretty lady what she likes? Did he love her? No. Did he need to? He didn't think so.

"You sure? Jimmi sweet, you know? Cicero bad man." He muses idly, wet fingers pressing past her lips and into her tongue. Exploring, as if considering it. He was never a bad man to Jimmi, and she knew what he was. Still. Maybe her chem addled brain finally knocked lose from her skull.

ideas for marvel snap seasons

hello! ive been playing a lot more marvel snap recently, and ive had a bunch of ideas for new seasons and some new cards that could be in those seasons. i am in no way a game designer, so im not going to give characters or locations effects.

Each season has:

One main card (the season pass card)

Four other new cards (spotlight cache cards)

two older cards featured in the season pass with new varients

two new locations

one other additional rule - one of each season's cache cards is usually more of a lesser known character, or someone out of left field. I have kept this in mind for these upcoming season ideas.

Ah! My favorite guy!

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

Many things come to mind. His honor, his loyalty, his skill, how deep down he is just a big goober...

But I think what I like best about him was his post-Exodus arc. It was heartbreaking seeing him sink into depression and self-destruction over his perceived failure; but it was the fact that he was able to forgive himself and come out of the whole ordeal a better person that made me realize just how human he is.

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

Why you gotta put me on the spot like that! I have a habit of making fanmixes for like everything (@whispers-soundtrack-project if you are curious!), so it is so hard for me to narrow it down to one. But... if I gotta, I'm going to go with something pretty obvious and say "Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons (which I have, oddly, not added to Leo's fanmix yet!) and "Beauty In The Bones" by Elton John & Jimmie Allen (and specifically relating to the post-Exodus arc I mentioned above!)

A very tight 40 minute mix put together for Paradise FM in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories for the PSP. I didn’t know or understand the history or context of all this music when I first heard this station as a teenager. In hindsight however, it was very influential on my younger self’s taste in music - I was dying to know where people could go to dance to stuff like this, if there were any such place at all.

As an adult, I’m very thankful to have found these records and the remnants of these communities in New York City - who strive to keep these times, places and songs from fading away. I’m posting this particular mix though because it is an extremely succinct primer for the sound of Larry Levan, the Paradise Garage, and New York in their golden age, in addition to being a snapshot of disco music in transition to its eventual new form. Highly recommend a listen if you have an interest in these kinds of tunes.
