WHY JIGGY SHIPPERS SHOULD CONSIDER RALIGGY

Hi guys!! I just wanted to come on here and spread one of my favorite ships. Here are a few reasons why I think Jiggy shippers would like Raliggy :3

1. Redemption arc

I have seen that alot of Jiggy shippers seem to like the idea of redemption. This is also a big part in Raliggy and is even shown in the book. In the beginning Ralph is shown to not be the biggest fan of Piggy, but as the story continues he begins to grow closer to him and appreciate who he is as a person. Even his last thoughts in the novel are of Piggy.

2. It is much healthier

Raliggy is undeniably healthier than Jiggy. Piggy is shown to like Ralph throughout the novel and this liking becomes mutual. Jiggy however is two characters that are shown to hate eachother throughout the entirety of the novel. Piggy is also shown to fear Jack in a way that realistically could never be fixed. This level of fear and hatred would not be healthy in any way for either of them.

3. It does not require a rewrite of the story

Raliggy is a ship that could realistically happen within the story based on the relationship we see between Ralph and Piggy. Jiggy ,however, would not be possible in cannon. From the first moment Jack sees Piggy to after his death, he is shown to be nothing but cruel to him. Piggy is shown to be terrified of him,even fearing for his life. This is something that never changes in cannon and is something that would require changes with both of them(sometimes even making them go against their own personalitys)

4. The bully×victim trope is weird

Before I begin this section I will admit this may be slightly biased due to my personal past experiences. While it is possible to do this trope correctly, it is incredibly difficult and often removes the victims trauma. The fear Piggy is shown to feel about Jack is something that doesn't just go away. The ship Jiggy gives Jack an amount of forgiveness which personally does not make sense. Jack has done nothing but make Piggy's life hell andno amount of apologies or explanations would erase or fix the trauma this would cause Piggy.

I know this was a long post so I appreciate if you took the time to read it<3 I hope my points made sense and possibly make you consider the ship Raliggy!

jalph…duh. very basic but i like it. interesting dynamic + sad + the fics are fire :3 very los campesinos coded also but im not gonna get into that

ralmon. SO CUTESY!!! one of the only somewhat not toxic lotf ships so they’re great for fluff + angst. sometimes a girl wants fluff without second guessing it as love bombing!! underrated also. edit post-manuscript-reading: THEYRE CANON FUCK YOU

rogermon BUT ONLY IN THE CONTEXT OF CREEPY QUIET KID/BATTY QUIET KID. i hate bad boy roger x soft boy simon,,, they’re both clinically insane and don’t talk much stop making roger bad boy alpha who kicks kittens plz

ralger. kinda a crackship but it’s so fun!!! kinda like rogermon but moreso creepy quiet kid/popular kid. similar dynamic to jalph, very fun :3

raliggy. AAAAAA. they upset me GREATLY😭😭 so angsty so angsty. also underrated!! i feel like ppl don’t ship piggy w ppl cuz he’s fat SOMEONE HAD TO SAY IT! im sick and tired of piggy erasure.

Hi this is out of the blue but I would like to apologize to anyone who I may have hurt during the Jiggy argument. I never intended to hurt/target anyone when I madethe original tik tok but I understand how it could have come of that way. It really should have never escalated last that point and of I'm being honest I'm still not sure how it ended up at that point. I would like to make it clear that my opinions on the ship have not changed. For many reasons(including personal) the ship is somthing I can not get behind but as long as the ship is done is a respectful manner that does not take away from the characters themselves(this goes for all lotf ships especially Jalph as even though I am a big fan,it to can fall into simmilar problems) people should be aloud to ship what they want. This fandom is already small enough and has enough drama as it is and I am so sorry that I aided in some of this discourse. I hope whoever reads this has a good day/night
