Mission update: apparently deploying someone with ice-based powers to a tropical rainforest wasn’t the brightest idea. Who knew?

Imagine trying to subdue HYDRA agents while your powers are basically running on low battery thanks to 90% humidity and 35°C heat. Not exactly ideal conditions for freezing anything. Took down three guys the old-fashioned way before realizing I was sweating more than I was freezing.

Note to SHIELD: next time, maybe send me somewhere with a colder climate—or at least make sure the jet has proper air conditioning.

Anyway, the mission was a success, and I’m back in one piece. If anyone needs me, I’ll be in the lab trying to figure out how to make my cryokinesis work in all environments. Or drinking iced coffee. Probably both.

It is a satirical 2002 South Korean film about a government act that prohibits popular music and passed in response to a number of musicians being elected to government elsewhere in the world. It is notable for the numerous K-pop stars that make appearances in the film.

Plot:

Troubled by the growing worldwide trend of pop singers being elected as politicians, the President of South Korea orders his Chief Secretary to invoke "Emergency Act 19". This new law criminalizes all pop singers, and the army is deployed on the streets of Seoul to round them up. One pop star, Hong Kyung-min, is arrested while performing a concert, but his angry fans mob the soldiers as they try to take him away. The Chief Secretary's teenage daughter, Min-ji, is amongst the fans, and leading her idol to safety gives him her phone number. Kyung-min finally makes a getaway with his friend and fellow pop star, Kim Jang-hoon.

Once Jang-hoon and Kyung-min become fully aware of the situation, they contact Min-ji, who is able to hide the two singers in a secret location. The Chief Secretary finds out that his daughter is working against him, and when she refuses to give them up, he has false news reports created, accusing the singers of sexually assaulting minors. Meanwhile, more pop stars are rounded up by the authorities who are now aided by another singer, Ju Yeong-hun, who decides to betray his friends in order to save himself.

Angered by their tarnished reputations, Jang-hoon and Kyung-min acquire a gun from a shady weapons dealer, and with Min-ji's help they are able to take the Chief Secretary and his staff hostage. They take their captives to the park, where Min-ji has organized a mass demonstration with her friends and other music fans. The army arrive on the scene and engage the demonstrators in conflict, finally capturing Jang-hoon and Kyung-min. The Chief Secretary is able to walk free in all the chaos, but he is appalled by the violence and orders the fighting to stop, convincing the President to repeal the emergency act and restoring peace.

I couldn't find this movie with subs anywhere. I usually watch kdramas but found it on YouTube in 2 parts without eng subs.

If anyone knows where I could watch this movie fully with eng subs would be very helpful.

Summary: The camera is now on Liane as she is being interviewed about her life as The Tooth Fairy

Liane takes a seat in front of the camera with the interviewer.

"Me? Oh uh hi, I'm Liane! But people call me The Tooth Fairy, Tooth, Toothie, Bitey for some reason...oh right! I handle all the teeth in the world when kids loose their baby teeth, or milk teeth to make room for adult teeth!" She cries as her wings flutter.

"Some kids are easy, they light up if I leave a banknote or a coin under their pillow, but today's kids....not all of them are satisfied with that. I've had kids that throw a fit when I leave them a few bucks or a £2 coin or whatever. And then there are the fairy fans..." she starts, shuddering a little.

"Don't get me wrong, love me those believers but then there are the hard core fairy fans who build fae traps, write notes requesting things being fixed or their families being happier and that makes me really sad." Her wings droop a little.

"What do I do with the teeth? Well obviously I don't keep them. I turn them into the money! You really think I collected those teeth and stored them somewhere? No! I'm a fairy, not a creep!" She snorts, ruffling her wings.

"Sometimes my boyfriend Ethan, or Sandy as he's known, helps me out with the kids who try and catch me. I do not understand the fascination. If they try to grab me from under their pillow he sends them right back to sleep easy as pie and then wrenches me out of the kids hands, often uncrumpling my wings too. Kids are stronger than they look." She winces a little, flexing her wrists.

"Then there are the kids who think they're too old for me. The same ones who go around telling others that poor Santa, Jack Frost, the Easter Bunny and myself don't exist. But I never leave them out. If they hand their tooth over to their parents, I make sure they aren't out of pocket after handing over their own cash to their kid. No one ever questions it and honestly even though it is wayy harder to sneak into a human wallet or purse, I still do it for the sake of the parents." She sighs, gazing at her feet.

"Letters? Oh I've had letters, not quite as elaborate as the ones JJ receives...but I once had a kid, bless her heart, ask if instead of giving her money for a tooth she could instead have something fixed, a little statue that she'd broken that was her brother's and she'd tried fixing on her own. I may have called in a favor for that one and showed the letter to JJ who confirmed she was on the Nice List and got it repaired as a small favor for me." She smiles fondly, remembering the child's wonder and hope.

"The little girl was so grateful and ever since then she started leaving me sweet notes anytime she lost a tooth and gave me trinkets to take home. I keep them all here." She states, gesturing to the wall behind her.

"This is a button that fell off her old coat, that's a miniature unicorn toy she left me, oh this is a sock she left me hoping I'd be able to use it as a sleeping bag, then this barette that she left me and before her last tooth fell she gave me this picture of a fairy she drew!" The fairy crows, giggling as she points to a large wall hanging. "I treasure them all."

"My powers? Well obviously," she starts, drawing out her silver and crystal wand with intricate carvings and designs on it. "My wand turns teeth into money. I'll demonstrate," she says, retrieving a Tooth she did keep and tapping it with the wand as it turned into a crisp five dollar bill. "And I can reverse it too, watch." She says as she taps the bill twice and it reverts to a Tooth again. "This Tooth isn't any old tooth it's one of Eth's baby teeth, it was a...unique gift for a first date but it amused me so much that I decided to go on a second date with him!" She giggles, putting the Tooth back.

"However the Tooth thing is just my role, every fair has some kind of natural ability, a defense mechanism if you like but uh...I can't use it on children as it would not end well..." she trails off, snapping her fingers as a vibrant purple flame burns on her thumb. "Like I said, Tooth Fairies can't also be arsonists. Even when some kids really deserve it...." she mutters as her eyes turn purple.

"What was I saying? Oh right my powers! And of course flying, with my wings!" She smiles, fanning out her delicate wings to show them off. "They can carry me great distances in one night but if its a really busy night I sometimes need Ethan to get me home," she sighs but smiles softly. "And if I haven't slept much he always gets me down to sleep nice and easy for as long as I need to recover, with some help from Mother Time so I don't sleep on anyone else's time."

"Mistakes? No...nonono. Noooo! No never made any mistakes before, not me. Nope. Not a chance.....nothing firey...has happened. On my watch. Nope!" She blurts out, stammering as she gets some serious side-eye from Ji-Hoon across the room. "Uh next question?"

"Ooh craziest story! Ah yes, there was one very crazy Christmas night at a house where there was a child who had a tooth under their pillow and a stocking by the fire, and a wish for snow and was really struggling to fall asleep. We pulled out all the stocks that night! Petra froze the whole house in time so we could work, Ethan made sure the kid went to sleep and stayed asleep until Christmas morning, I went under the pillow, JJ came down the chimney, Ji-Hoon sorted the snow and weather, it was exhausting. I think I fell asleep in the sleigh that night but it was worth it to bring the magic to another kid." She beams, her eyes shining.

"Are we done here? Great, thanks for talking with me, I had fun! So who do you want next?"

(Side note the story about the broken item is absolutely true, I did write a letter to the Tooth Fairy as a kid asking her to see if Tinkerbell could fix my brother's ornament. Also I never told my mum so uh...that's the day my fairy wishes died. But I did get letters from other fairies before that, one called Charlie The Chocolate Fairy [my mother is a saint] because I really was obsessed with fairies.)

Santa appears in his chair and smiles. He picks up the first letter and reads.

“Oh this one is from Sid. It reads, ‘Yo Santa! Why don’t you ever come to my house? I’ve been nice all year, stupid.’…” JJ read and gave a deadpan look at the camera. “That’s why, kiddo. Every time I gave you a toy you blow it up and destroy them with such cruelty. Change your attitude, then let’s talk. And be nice to your sister, that’s all I ask. Jeez…kids these days.”

He takes his head and reads the next one, “Aw this one is from Georgia Romanoff. It reads, ‘Oh my gosh Santa hi! Can I get a toy sword for Christmas? My brother wants more books for his collection, magical fantasy books. Please! Oh! Are your elves real or fake? Ohhh! Are you friends with the tooth fairy too?’ Aw, sure kiddo I can do definitely do that. As for my Elves, they definitely real. Actually they’re basically like my spies on the inside and report back to me. And yeah, I’m friends with the other guys.”

Tooth fairy flies around playing with the stuffed animals and squeals, “Ah! These are so adorable. I only give out money to kids, not toys. JJ can we trade?”

Ji-Hoon Frost rolls his eyes playing with a ball of snow, “That’s not how it works, Lia. You give out cash, and Jolly JJ gives out presents while working one night a year. Don’t you just work almost every week and collect memories of the children, to remind them of their childhood experiences when needed?”

“Yeah, I mean my job is special! No one can fly faster than a buzzing bee than me and do it without anyone noticing.”

“Pff, I notice…”

“Shut up! All you do is throw snowballs and whatever!”

“I bring a little fun to the children. Ever heard of a snow day?”

Liane grumbled frustrated, “See! I wanna bring fun to kids as well, I wanna gift them toys! But your idiotic logic doesn’t let me!” Without a second later, her temper flared up and she burst the stuffed animal as its face began to rise in flames. “Oops.”

JJ opened his mouth to say something but before he could say anything, Ji-Hoon winked and with a flick of his wrist froze the entire stuffed animal before it can get out of hand.

“That’s why you don’t bring toys to children.” Ji Hoon remarked smirking, “Right, JJ?”

He just nodded chuckling, “Yeah. But you’re both amazing at your roles, remember that.”

JJ sat up in his chair remembering that time chuckling, “I love those guys. Even if my elves might get a bit intimidated by them, but it’s all good fun. Tooth has a fire but it’s amazing, because it’s means she doesn’t always stop when she’s down and keeps going. Ji is our trusted friend here, creating a chill atmosphere and keeping everyone in check at the same time.”

He picks up another letter and reads it, “Aw, it says ‘Dear Santa, my name is Astrid. I want a pet cat for Christmas and new journals, please and thank you. I am curious, do you have help with your Christmas Eve night? Like your elves?’ Aw, thank you sweetheart. I’ll see what I can do about your wish this year. As for your question, I do have some help from an old pal…”

Santa sneaks into the house with Ethan, also known as Sandman, wanting to make sure no one was awake as he pulled out the presents from the stack. Ethan helped him with a soft smile excitedly as he hoped Riley, Bella and the other kids loved the toys. The living room tree was lit brightly and shiny with all the colors ornaments.

“This is gonna be amazing!” He whispered yelled grinning then his eyes widened at the dog staring at him. He gulped, “Shit..”

“Ethan what’s wrong…?” JJ started as his words faded away seeing the large dog, blinking, ��…oh.”

“Uh…wh-what do we have to do.? He is very big and fluffy and uh…mad!”

“Get him to fall asleep…”

It was like the light bulb went off as he remembered his power set. He waved his fingers throwing dusty golden glowing sand at the large dogs face—well, he was more like a wolf—as he gave a loopy dreamy smile. Images of the galaxy danced above his head as he flopped onto the floor happily, asleep and snoring.

Ethan threw the throw blanket over his shoulder chuckling softly, “Aw, he’s so adorable now that he’s asleep.”

JJ pulled out a present with a name on it and looked at the wolf. He chuckled, “So that’s Rick.”

Santa smiled fondly at the memory and sighed softly.

“Yeah, Ethan’s a kind soul and very respectful figure. I couldn’t ask for better than him and our friends.” He added generously, “He keeps the good dreams alive and the bad ones away. Tooth is lucky to have him, they make quite a pair. They both agree that the whole leaving out cookies for Santa shouldn’t be made, I need a bigger snack than just two cookies. Maybe chicken wings or something? Oh! Chips and guacamole?”

JJ then adds, “I also have my reindeer that accompanies me…”

Santa trying to see in the clouds and realize he is moving so freaking slow.

“Rudolph! I see nothing!” He yelled out.

Rudolph, who was a bit older now, sass him, “Who care Santa? I don’t think my nose is bright enough.”

“You better hope it’s bright up when I call your father to whoop your behind!”

“You’re killing my vibe, man…”

“Rudolfo, shut up or I’ll throw you in the back with Cupid.”

Later on that night…🕰️

They was going well, presents were being delivered with the help from, Ethan, Sandman and Mother Time, Petra, before they headed off to the North Pole to celebrate the holiday. But they were big help!

Especially with Petra being able to stop time along the route to bigger destinations and allow them more access to get the job done—without rushing against the clock.

So that just left Santa, JJ was flying calmly, on the phone with Mrs. Claus about family dinner and who’s coming over. Then he noticed all the reindeer blabbering and hushing one another.

“I’ll have to call you back honey…” He said hang up the phone and turned to his reindeer and smiled. “Okay, what’s the chitchatting about guys?”

All the reindeer spoke under their breath and the words didn’t come out right away.

“Dasher.” He said calmly. “Care to tell me, what happened?”

Dasher huffed knowingly, at being the most loyal and honest reindeer as he said, “Rudolph is talking about you again…”

Blitzen added, “Yup sir, he’s being ridiculous and clearly hasn’t done this job long..”

JJ rolled his eyes and sometimes wished he could call one of ghosts of Christmas, Cole, to set Rudolph straight.

JJ sighed, “Buddy, what did you say?”

Rudolph grumbled, “Just that you need to be more tactful when entering people’s home.”

JJ blinked and scoffed with a deadpan expression. He has done this long enough and is pretty sure that his methods are working.

“I must be getting old and foolish with age, but Rudolph, reminds me.” JJ remarked with a hint of sass, “Do you still get bullied by the other reindeer?”

“Well, sometimes, yeah-” Rudolph replied shrugging as he flies.

“Good.”

“Yeah, so, Rudolph is grounded for the rest of the week and won’t be flying around the base for a while…” JJ replied biting down on a cookie.

He glance down at the other laters deciding to read them later and smile softly looking around the room. He watched the folks stumble across the room and the sound of people talking in the distance.

He looks up at the camera once more.

“Allow me to let you in on a little secret folks.” JJ said chuckling, “As much as everyone thinks that I’m the top dog here at the North Pole, it’s really Mrs. Claus.”

“Yeah, sure I do the trip every year, answer the letters and get things sorted out.” He explained softly. “But in reality? Oh my goodness, she’s the real boss! She makes sure things are in order, everyone knows what their role is and so much more. And don’t mess with her. Last person to mess with Elizabeth got a candy cane, where the sun don’t shine…”

He winked at the camera.

JJ chuckled and shrugged, “Anyways, yeah. That’s all the time I have for you guys today. I’ll be reading more later on. Bye!”

With the camera shut off.

Disclaimer: Some of these actors are whumped/strangled often. It's still not enough for me.

남주혁 (Nam Joo Hyuk) - (picture: Vigilante) -- I love Nam Joo Hyuk. Vigilante is one of the darker dramas he's done, if not the darkest. I would love to see more whump in general and I think strangulation would be a great start. I feel like Vigilante is going to give me what I'm looking for tbh. (as of November 21, 2023, it's still airing)

2. 지창욱 (Ji Chang Wook) - (picture: The K2) -- Another one of my favorites. He's one of the ones who's been whumped a good bit but it's never enough. He does it well and I'll eat it up every single time. Strangle him, beat him, do what you will. I will be sitting there writing it all down for another whump-filled whumplist don't play with me.

3. 이제훈 (Lee Je Hoon) - (picture: Taxi Driver) -- Another man who has been whumped many a time and strangled before but dammit I need more. Maybe.... with a third season of Taxi Driver? Idk but I want someone's hand around his throat.

4. 박지훈 (Park Jihoon) - (picture: Weak Hero Class 1) -- He was strangled in this drama. It left a mark on his throat. If I could see him strangled in every single drama he does until the end of his career I will be grateful and indebted to him. Thank you.

5. 김영대 (Kim Young Dae) - (picture: Moon in the Day) -- I have grown to absolutely love him through Moon in the Day. It's the second drama I've seen him in and I absolutely love him! I feel like he needs to be strangled a little bit. He hasn't been whumped as much as some of these other actors but he's got time. He only debuted in 2018 so it's cool.

I have so many more that I could add to this list but I'll leave it at this right now. These are all Korean, yes. I can add some Chinese and Japanese actors at some point but given the fact that I mostly consume Korean media I'll stick to these 5.

I hate that Project Moon is currently on fire with Ji-hoon pouring gasoline on the flames because for some reason there's been an uptick in Fate blogs yelling "I WATCH IT FOR THE PLOT!" at the top of their lungs and I really miss seeing Limbini blogs being unabashedly horny on main for their favorite blorbos.
