I forgot to take a before picture(RIP) but my first restoration/remodel!

Got this little wooden box from the thrift shop and it was in bad condition, loose wobbly off center hinges, an ill hitting lid, chipping laquer and scratched to hell.

Used what I had on hand, so it's not perfect, but I think it's pretty!

Sanded her down and sanded down the metal bits with some wd40 and put everything back together. Gave her a light coat of wd40 to make the grain stand out more and to shine it up (more of a light satin type shine) and she's done!!

И он предложил свою помощь за не большую плату в будущем. Смешно правда что человек доверяет мне так. Но это был единственным вариантом. Дав адрес от ювелирной мастерской в которой ждал нас уже, и разрешил сделать маме украшения с его помощью. Приехав на место мама не понимала что это за место. Объяснив все ей, она села на диван и ожидала наблюдая за тем как я пытаюсь что то сделать. Не отходя от стола я тщательно мастерила изделие, а за соседним столом мой друг делал параллельно второе изделие. Часа через четыре все было готово. Он положил свое украшение в коробку, и я свое доложила. Я подарила маме прекрасные украшения: серьги и ожерелье.

He put his jewelry in the box, and I presented mine. I gave my mother beautiful jewelry: earrings and a necklace.
