Would you rather work with Light or L?

Oh, I'd probably rather work with Light for sure as well. In the year 2021 my longterm office job basically got given out from under me to a couple guys that lived in India because it was cheaper to hire people to do the same job there, and then I got paid and given a severance package type thing to long-distance mentor these two guys and teach them how to take my job from me hahaha. One was a very Type A personality and one was a very Type B personality, and it was an interesting experience to be able to contrast the two from the perspective of being responsible for training them and keeping them on track.

I myself am an extremely Type B personality most times, but I actually gelled really well with the Type A person in particular, because he was so quick to inform me of any decisions he made or questions he had, and was always looking for something new to do or trying to find clever innovations he could make. He was intense and serious, but also very communicative about how grateful he was for me being a good teacher to him. The main thing I had to keep in mind was that I really had to be precise with giving him specific times we would be meeting to discuss things and communicate clearly with him, or else he would get antsy and stressed and annoyed. The Type B guy was extremely laid-back and very difficult to offend or ruffle in any way, but you also had to chase him around a bit more to find out what was going on with him and to get to know him, and do a lot more encouraging of him to get him to try something new or to take a chance on something he wasn't confident about. The Type A guy was also extremely cutely appreciative of me training him well to essentially take my job from me, so I definitely felt a lot like L in the Yotsuba Arc teaching Light all the ropes of being L lmao. He basically was being like "notice me senpai" and trying to do the best job possible as a thanks for me being nice to him, I think... ANYWAY all of this is to say that Type A guy reminded me a lot of Yotsuba!Light and I worked well with him, so I'd def rather work with him than L (L is probably a bit more Type A than Type B too, but I think L's cryptic style of management would be chaotic and Elon Musk-ish in a way that would absolutely annoy me and completely stress me out)

LIGHT by a fucking mile dude. without exposing my whole resume, i used to work at a place that attracted L-like personalities and it was an actual nightmare. my cat-herding skills are terrible because i'm like fine, don't fucking follow the agenda, see if i care!!!! (spoiler: i care a lot because it makes everyone else's jobs harder) good question :3

5. Currently reading: "Story Genius: How to Use Brain Science to Go Beyond Outling and Write a Riveting Novel” by Lisa Cron. I like reading about writing, and I usually have a lot of them on my Christmas list. This is one of them.

7. Currently consuming: Ice water. I had an apple scone and scrambled eggs for breakfast.

1. Three Ships

The most obvious one is, of course, Lawlight! But two other ships that make me insane in a similar manner would be Hannigram and Henry/Richard from TSH.

2. First ever ship

If I remember correctly it was Ender/Petra from Enders Game. I read the book before I was even really active on the internet and wrote fanfic in the notes app of my IPod touch before I even knew the word fanfic.

3. Last Song

I’m listening to music while I write this—Freak by Lana Del Rey.

4. Last Movie

Hannibal (2001).

5. Currently Reading

I tend to read a few things at once. At the moment Crime and Punishment, Stone Butch Blues, and a collection of Sontag’s essays.

Rewatching Death Note with a friend who has never seen in—which is a JOY. I’m also watching Nana, which I know will crush me.

7. Currently Consuming

This is such a loaded question. Media? Food? Thoughts? Today I ate a passion fruit for the first time. It was so delectable. The center of the fruit is this vivid yellow gelatinous substance encasing tart black seeds. They are such small fruits. Very leathery on the outside. I could eat 20 of them.

More passion fruit, among other things. I refer you to Red Doc by Anne Carson.

My current two brainrots are Meronia and Lawlight from Death Note. For the third I probably SHOULD put the one I run a discord server for, but instead I am going with Fierrochase (Magnus Chase/Riordanverse)

It isn't the first thing I ever shipped as much as the first ship I ever truly CARED about, but that would be Utena/Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena. if i remember correctly (i’ve only watched the first two episodes recently sorry) the whole reason for the lockwood/kipps rivalry isn’t addressed at all in the show

and this morning i thought what if they had planned to change it in another season after we discover the whole jessica thing ?

because they made the show more serious than the books (eg the whole winkman warehouse torture thing instead of dressing up in silly outfits with bad accents) so i thought maybe the whole lockwood stabbing kipps in the butt is also pretty silly (that’s the whole point too) so it would make sense that in the same logic they would change their rivalry’s origin

and that reminds me of the post i saw (i don’t remember who posted it sorry) where they hc that kipps knew jess and is holding lockwood accountable for her death and both their grief get tangled in a very emotional yet really accurate alternative timeline and now i’m convinced that they would totally do something like that in the show and the way i would cry if that became show!cannon

Would you rather (in regards to personality, actions, ideologies, communicative styles) date someone like Light, L, or Misa?

Hahah that's pretty easy, the answer is no! At least not in their canon forms. Light is probably the closest to a personality type that I've dated in the past (he kinda acts like my mom and my brother, so I feel like I just learned how to deal with that sort of personality type intuitively, and find a lot of humour in it from being around it so much growing up). But I think I normally would rather be with somebody a little less ambitious and more willing to chill and relax with me. L is somebody who I would find probably extremely funny and interesting to be around at times, but I think his personality and mine would not really actually mesh well because of how insensitive he can be now and then. And Misa would probably stress me out immensely with how impulsive and forward and confrontational she is (I tend to only hang out with people who are pretty peaceful and undramatic and thoughtful and sensible irl). As for their ideals, I don't really agree with any of them much (I am very far from a "the end justifies the means" person like L and Light, and Misa's lack of a moral compass and conscience really freaks me out much of the time).

The character amongst all the main ones that I could actually see myself personally vibing with the best irl is probably Near? I don't have a crush on him or anything, but I agree the most with his views, am also a creative homebody who cares for other people deeply in a somewhat distant watchful sort of way, have strong idealistic opinions about how other people should behave, and probably have the most similar personality and communication style to him as well (people consider me very stoic irl, but I feel things strongly and I like to talk to people a lot to express myself and how I feel, I can get really indignant and sassy at times when people offend me, can overthink things instead of taking enough action a lot, and I can be overly loyal to people who I probably shouldn't be, or who didn't really treat me super well in return sometimes).

Have you ever unfollowed someone? Why?

I have, and usually it's not so much something super personal as just. I followed them and then instantly felt like my dash was thrown off by the content they were posting (I don't follow THAT many blogs, so I guess that might make me fussier about the posts that do show up). So then I'll do a quick whoopsie doodle and unfollow again (it's almost always blogs I've followed very recently rather than the long-term ones). I've also unfollowed people before because they entirely switched fandoms to something I'm really not interested in, or started filling up my dash with super long roleplays (following for me is usually mostly about getting the content I'm interested in on my dash) One time I remember unfollowing somebody because they tried to drag me into their drama, though. There was some person going around the fandom telling others off for being too offensive about everything under the sun (like for example saying drawing DN characters as animals was really bad). And then one of my mutuals reblogged my old DN animal art and asked them why it hadn't been called problematic yet too? They were trying to do a "gotcha" of some kind to the dramatic person apparently, but I really didn't appreciate them dragging me into their fight for no reason... Hahaha like thanks for that
