Ariel To Make A Splash Debut Thursday, June 27, Streaming Next Day On Disney+

Disney Branded Television announced today the premiere date for the highly anticipated animated musical series “Ariel.” Inspired by “The Little Mermaid (2023)” the series will debut on THURSDAY, JUNE 27, on Disney Junior (9:00 a.m. EDT/PDT) and air on Disney Channel later that day, with an initial batch of eight episodes available on Disney+ the following day, FRIDAY, JUNE 28.

Disney Junior has also released the theme song who will be Disney TVA 's #98 series overall.

To help build excitement for “Ariel,” it was also announced that a new series of shorts titled “Ariel: Mermaid Tales” will be featured across Disney Junior, Youtube and Disney+ beginning Wednesday, June 5. Each two-minute short will highlight a different aspect of Ariel’s life in Atlantica.

Recurring Guest Cast on ARIEL include Yvette Nicole Brown ("Firebuds", "Pupstruction") as Aquatica, Melissa Villaseñor ("Primos", Cartoon Network Studios "OK K.O Let's Be Heroes") as Navi, Ron Funches (Pixar Animation Studios "Inside Out 2") as Delfino, Kevin Michael Richardson ("The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder", "La Familia Avenúñez") as Sebastian, Parvesh Cheena (Netflix Animation "Centaurworld") as Ravi, Danni Washington as Tantie Chantale, Alanna Ubach (Nickelodeon "El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera") as Cristina Cuttles, Dana Heath (Nickelodeon "Danger Force") and Jessica Mikayla (Disney Launchpad "Project CC") play Ariel’s twin sisters Ayanna and Alanna, respectively.

The acclaimed songwriting teams are comprised of Anthony M. Jones (Tone), Sofia Quinn, Olivia Waithe, Chantry Johnson, Michelle Zarlenga and Rosemarie Tan.  Christopher Willis ("The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse" franchise) serves as composer. Sean Skeete, dean of the Professional Performance division at Berklee College of Music, is the Caribbean music consultant.

Walt Disney Records will release a digital soundtrack on Friday, June 28, and an array of dolls, playsets, role-play, costumes, apparel, books and more from Disney Consumer Products and Disney Publishing Worldwide will be available this summer.

Torna a Pescara per la nona volta CORPOGRAFIE, una rassegna di danza intrecciata alla realtà audiovisiva che, a partire dalla performance, intercetta e convoglia pensieri e progetti, incrocia temi e questioni al cuore del nostro vivere come modalità di libero sviluppo della ricerca artistica. Punto focale del tema di questo festival, la cui direzione artistica è firmata dal Gruppo Alhena e da Anouscka Brodacz, è la relazione del corpo con lo spazio, atta a stimolare un vero e proprio linguaggio del pensiero fisico e creatrice di esperienze, interferenze ed elaborazioni stimolate dal luogo con cui il corpo interagisce e diventa “paesaggio”. Corpografie, edizione 2022 Ecosistema in cui accadono “cose”, la danza è la disciplina che consente ancora di sperimentare inedite soluzioni in grado di rilanciare il concetto di rappresentazione. Per tale motivo il Gruppo Alhena propone per questa sua nuova edizione di CORPOGRAFIE un calendario intriso di progetti innovativi, in collaborazione con una rete di partner strategici che vedranno, dal 1° al 18 settembre, alternare spettacoli e performance di residenza nazionali ed internazionali. Si comincia il 1° settembre con Corpografie Off , progetto curato da Andrea Micaroni, Professore presso l’Accademia Nazionale di Danza di Roma, che, dopo il successo del 2021, si arricchisce di nuovi partner per rappresentare un punto fondamentale nel mondo della videodanza. Un concept mirato a far rianimare il palco tradizionale proprio a partire dalle potenzialità espresse dalla scena virtuale. Fondamentale, quest’anno, il partenariato con il festival CINEMATICA. Corpografie: appuntamenti da non perdere Drammaturgia e virtuosismo sarà invece il tema della residenza in programma dal 2 al 4 settembre, guidata dalla rinomata danzatrice francese Marion Castaillet, coreografa ispiratasi al “physical dance theatre” e ispiratrice della danza energetica “Freshmotîon”. Insieme ai danzatori Andrea Dionisi, Antonio Taurino, Valeria Russo e Marzia Turnaturi, lavorerà per creare degli “a solo” e un ensemble finale, per dare voce alle loro capacità tecniche, inseguendo racconti interiori e paesaggi coreografici. La rappresentazione finale di questo percorso avrà luogo il 4 settembre, insieme a cinque performance in prima nazionale: V di Valeria Russo, A di Antonio Taurino , M di Marzia Turnaturi, A2 di Andrea Dionisi. Wrlss L’8 settembre sarà di scena per un’altra prima assoluta Wrlss , un progetto “site specific” di Andrea Micaroni con Simonetta D’Intino, Maristella Mezzapesa e Laura Petrini, produzione del Gruppo Alhena. Si tratta di una performance di Danza e Nuove Tecnologie che indaga il rapporto dell'essere umano con l’esistenza e che vede interagire i danzatori con tecnologie senza fili quali luci e musica. Venerdì 9 settembre sarà protagonista il Balletto di Sardegna con la produzione, Zatò e Ychì, interpretata da Valeria Russo e Lucas Monteiro Delfino: una storia ispirata a Zatoychi, Zatò, un invincibile spadaccino cieco della tradizione giapponese, che racconta di due samurai in lotta e di un Oriente reinventato. Anteprime e... In anteprima nella sezione “Nuove Tecnologie” l’11 settembre, Rosarosaerosae – la pelle delle immagini : un racconto multimediale, firmato da Sara Lupoli con interprete Mariz Anzivino e videoscenografie di Alessandro Papa, che indaga il concetto dell’abitare in relazione al corpo e al ricordo che in esso risiede. Una produzione ArtGarage in coproduzione con Korper e Theatre des Calanques, con il sostegno di Piano B e Accademia delle Belle Arti di Napoli, FABBRICAEUROPA, Casa del Contemporaneo, N+N Corsino, EEL a Casa Morra, FUNA. Il 15 settembre CORPOGRAFIE propone Orfeo ed Euridiceuno spettacolo in cui gliacrobati, danzatori e giocolieri del gruppo Vitamina C sono alle prese con la vicenda dei due sfortunati amanti. Danza ed arte Artemis Danza, in residenza a Pescara dal 12 al 16 settembre, proporrà in prima assoluta venerdì 16 settembre DOMINA, un progetto ideato da Jessica D’Angelo, incentrato sulla messa in relazione due corpi di natura diversa in situazioni spaziali e fisiche diverse. Con Greta Puggioni. Il secondo duo, α Binary vedrà Jessica D’Angelo con Salvatore Sciancalepore. Partendo dal corpo e dalla sua anatomia, attraversando immagini e scenari, si assiste ad un incontro ed al tentativo di generare nuove corporeità che per loro stessa natura sono destinate a disgregarsi, innescando un meccanismo di decostruzione del genere e del ruolo. Gran finale per Corpografie 2022 Il 18 settembre, con TOUCH in VR di Ariella Vidach/AiEP, performance fondata sul concept “Dance the Distance” che individua nella realtà virtuale lo spazio deputato a ripensare la coreografia, ad espandere le dimensioni del nostro abitare e a riflettere sulla distanza come spazio, possibilità, apertura e dimensione specifica del nostro tempo. Nello spettacolo tre interpreti, due delle quali collocate in città diverse, danzeranno una coreografia fatta di nuove modalità di intrecci, di gesti, di contatti in uno spazio virtuale creato appositamente e condiviso.
