the two of you have in fact had the exact jess/paris bukowski/jane austen argument from season 2 of gilmore girls. it happened not long after you met. matty got a boner from it because you're really extremely very hot when you're cocky/self-assured (but he'll never tell)

matty used to have a habit of dog-earing his books, but then you started "making him bookmarks" by writing notes on train tickets and old dinner receipts and whatnot reminding him not to do that. when you started dating, you would add a lipstick kiss at the end. now, he uses photobooth pics of the two of you, and somewhere in his wedding vows/speech there's something about him always being able to find you in the pages even when you're apart; most people think this is reference to your work, but it's mostly about the photos, and you like it. also lowkey a reference to pictures of you the song, which as we all know is so special to you both

even from when she's tiny, you play 75 songs to amy when matty's away so she can still hear him and have him around, and it's very adorable how excited she gets when they play and you sing along to them. and then it backfires when she's about three, at her first show, and she is BAFFLED by matty singing because "that's mummy's song she sings it to me"; she learns in the end that it is actually daddy's song, but matty finds the whole thing so endearing that he lets her believe it and work it out for herself when she gets older. the next song he writes for you, she gets to hear before anyone else, and matty's like "this actually is mummy's song. it's for her!"; of course, amy gets a song for herself too, which obviously she's hyped (and smug) about

His hair is so fun and dramatic with his floof of bangs, I will never get over it and I love how you draw it with the lil bit of flop on the left side too <3 and it's such a soft, sweet yellow, my heart is melting he's too darling. And those eyes! I love how you draw eyes--they're so big and cute and Jesse's are such a vibrant, beautiful blue im just in love. and the expression/pose is fantastic, I bet he's making some sort of point/saying something to Eugene XD He just looks so cool and confident, but in a dramatic way. tempted to call him sassy (affectionate) tbh.
