Some more info on the two posters by Jermaine Rogers that I shared the other day...
This one is called 'Lose Your Head'. It was used for Ween's homecoming show at Penn's Landing, Philadelphia in 2016. In the artist's words (from his website):
"The imagery shows us an amazing evening between two friends, the kind of evening you barely remember." - JR
‘Slow down, silly!’ little bunny said ‘We’ve got all night… don’t lose your head.’

Horror Movie Review: The Blackening (2022)
Seven friends go away for the weekend, only to find themselves trapped in a cabin with a killer who has a vendetta.
The Blackening is a 2022 American comedy horror film directed by Tim Story and written by Tracy Oliver and Dewayne Perkins. Morgan (Yvonne Orji) and Shawn (Jay Pharoah) arrive to a cabin in the woods where they plan on celebrating Juneteenth with their group of friends. In the basement, the couple discovers a board game called “The Blackening”, which features racist caricatures. Suddenly, the…

Whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you. And so will I.
Born to a turbulent family on a Mississippi farm, James Earl Jones passed away today. He was ninety-three years old. Abandoned by his parents as a child and raised by a racist grandmother (although he later reconciled with his actor father and performed alongside him as an adult), the trauma of his childhood developed into a stutter that followed him through his primary school years – sometimes, his stutter was so debilitating, he could not speak at all. In high school, Jones found in an English teacher someone who found in him a talent for written expression, and encouraged him to write and recite poetry in class. He overcame his stutter by graduation, although the effects of it carried over for the remainder of his life.
Jones' most accomplished roles may have been on the Broadway stage, where he won three Tonys (twice winning Best Actor in a Play for originating the lead roles in 1969's The Great White Hope by Howard Sackler and 1987's Fences by August Wilson) and was considered one of the best Shakespearean actors of his time.
But his contributions to cinema left an impact on audiences, too. Jones received an Honorary Academy Award alongside makeup artist Dick Smith (1972's The Godfather, 1984's Amadeus) in 2011. From the end of Hollywood's Golden Age to the dawn of the summer Hollywood blockbuster in the 1970s to the present, Jones' presence – and his basso profundo voice – could scarcely be ignored. Though he could not sing like Paul Robeson nor had the looks of Sidney Poitier, his presence and command put him in league of both of his acting predecessors.
Ten of the films James Earl Jones appeared in, whether in-person or voice acting, follow (left-right, descending):
Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) – directed by Stanley Kubrick; also starring Peter Sellers, George C. Scott, Sterling Hayden, Keenan Wynn, and Slim Pickens
The Great White Hope (1970) – directed by Martin Ritt; also starring Jane Alexander, Chester Morris, Hal Holbrook Beah Richards, and Moses Gunn
Star Wars saga (1977-2019; A New Hope pictured) – multiple directors, as the voice of Darth Vader, also starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Cushing, Alec Guinness, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, David Prowse, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, and Frank Oz
Claudine (1974) – directed by John Berry; also starring Diahann Carroll, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, and Tamu Blackwell
Conan the Barbarian (1982) – directed by John Milius; also starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sandahl Bergman, Ben Davidson, Cassandra Gaviola, Gerry Lopez, Mako, Valerie Quennessen, William Smith, and Max von Sydow
Coming to America series (1988 and 2021; original pictured) – multiple directors; also starring Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, John Amos, Madge Sinclair, Shari Headley, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, and KiKi Layne
The Hunt for Red October (1990) – directed by John McTiernan; also starring Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, Scott Glenn, and Sam Neill
The Sandlot (1993) – directed by David Mickey Evans; also staring Tom Guiry, Mike Vitar, Patrick Renna, Chauncey Leopardi, Marty York, Brandon Adams, Grant Gelt, Shane Obedzinski, Victor DiMattia, Denis Leary, and Karen Allen
The Lion King (1994) – directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, as the voice of Mufasa; also starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons, Moira Kelly, Niketa Calame, Ernie Sabella, Nathan Lane, and Robert Guillaume, Rowan Atkinson, Whoopi Goldberg, Cheech Marin, Jim Cummings, and Madge Sinclair
Field of Dreams (1989) – directed by Phil Alden Robinson; also starring Kevin Costner, Amy Madigan, Ray Liotta, and Burt Lancaster

I’m so happy with how pockets night with Steve turned out! They had just enough fun but not too much too far. It was enough for Bucky to feel like he really lost her but still keeping his and Steve’s friendship intact. She needed to cry and let it out not numb herself even more im so glad she got it off her chest and has more people in her corner. I love how this story is playing out I’m eating it up you’re a talented writer ma’am 😭 I love everyone’s interactions with each other especially Tony being her pseudo big brother/dad that she never got and deserves 😩 I lowkey hope he kicks Buchanans ass just a few licks in on her behalf. And as for jezebel fuck please tell me pocket gets some sweet revenge on her tell me her just desserts is served colder than Siberia and she gets her ass kicked outta the tower and blacklisted for being a pick me bitch. I want them to have a hand to hand fight and pocket to stomp her crusty dusty ass out embarrass her musty self in front of everyone. I can’t wait to see how everything plays out I look forward to your updates ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! I was like "I need them to go as far as they physically can without me actually having to write anything sexual about Ew, Steve Rogers," and I was very happy where it ended up. I feel like I have to prepare ya'll, cause I know a lot of people want it to happen, but there isn't going to be a big, physical showdown between Pocket and Jermaine Jackson. I'd love it if there was, and if Pocket could kick her ass from here to kingdom come, but Johnson & Johnson's a super soldier, and Pocket knows she could never take her in a fight; it would be suicide. I just want to prepare some expectations, lol. Where Pocket does excel, though, is her dirty mouth, and in that arena, Jefferson Starship is in for a world of hurt. There's a reason Bucky loves it so much.

Shirley Murdock (born May 22, 1957) is a R&B singer-songwriter, who is known for her hit single “As We Lay” and for her vocals on Zapp and Roger’s hit single “Computer Love”. Her lead vocal special guest appearance with Smooth Jazz artist Ben Tankard, climbed to #1 Gospel and #20 on Billboard Top 200 on WOW Gospel 2006 and is certified Gold. Their collaboration of the Lionel Richie song “Jesus Is Love” is one of the most played songs on Sirius XM Radio's gospel channel for eight years since its initial release.
She started out singing gospel music in her native Toledo. Singer/musician Roger Troutman hired her as a backing vocalist for his family’s band Zapp, which had several hits on Warner Bros. Based on this success, Troutman began recording tracks with her and lead singer Sugarfoot of the Ohio Players, among others, at his Dayton-based recording studio, Troutman Sound Labs. She and Troutman’s first charted single was a Warner Bros. single issued as Roger (featuring Shirley Murdock), “Girl, Cut It Out”, which charted at #79 R&B in early 1985.
Murdock released “No More”, which made it to #24 R&B. Her signature hit, “As We Lay”. The tender, melancholy ballad made it to the R&B Top Ten in 1986 and peaked at #23 pop and #21 on the adult contemporary chart in early 1987. Her debut album was certified gold, also helped along by the follow-up hits “Go on Without You” and “Be Free.” She released albums in 1988 (A Woman’s Point of View) and 1991 (Let There Be Love!). She toured in the inspirational/gospel play Be Careful What You Pray For.
She released Home, her gospel-music debut album, in 2002 on T.D. Jake’s Dexterity Sounds record label. She made her acting debut in the movie Sweating in the Spirit. She signed with Tyscot Records and released her most recent album in March 2007.
In 2009, she collaborated with Teena Marie on the song “Soldier”, from Marie’s album Congo Square. She appeared in the 2009 stage play A Mother’s Prayer, with Johnny Gill, Robin Givens, and Jermaine Crawford. She appeared in “A Mother’s Love” in 2014. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

People thought that Jermaine Cole was a chicken for backing out of his beef with Kendrick Lamar when it turned out he was doing the right thing the whole time
I think we owe J Cole an apology.
It’s just like the song from the late great country legend Kenny Rodgers
“You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away and know when to run “
