In response to a question by a follower. Maltodextrin is a white, starchy powder that manufacturers add into many foods to improve their flavor, thickness, or shelf life. As you can see, this brand uses Maltodextrin, salt and sugar as the three primary ingredients in their 'jerk' seasoning before it even gets a sniff of allspice. If you didn't know about food labels, ingredients have to be listed by the largest amounts. Compare that to our label... I'm proud we don't use any fillers, bulking agents, MSG, Maltodextrin. And allspice is our main ingredient (as it should be).
