Okay. Alright. We're all very excited for Gerry. We're all very excited for Gerry that was raised well and away from the horrors and not by Mary keay.

We all love Happy Gerry.

But.

TMA!Gerry was sad from the start. He was raised with The Horrors by a horrible and abusive woman. When he was finally met with the promise of death, he was pretty fucking chill with it. The only real problem with the skin book thing was that he didn't actually *die.* THAT was TMA!Gerry's tragedy.

This Gerry is not depressed. He was not raised with The Horrors. He was raised by a kind and loving woman (presumably, assuming we can take Gertrude's character change at face value and that she raised him). This Gerry would NOT be fine with death.

From the perspective of a tragedy writer, in my opinion, it makes logical sense for Jonny to subject Gerry to The Horrors. It would be much more tragic than the original Gerry for TMAGP!Gerry to be dragged into this nonsense against his will and either die or get horrible emotionally/physically scarred from it. It makes sense.
