“Bye, guys,” a forced smile spread across your lips as you walked your friends, Jared and Genevieve, to the door. “Drive safe.”
“Good night, Y/N,” Genevieve blew out a kiss.
As they hopped in their car, you shut the front door. A sigh left your lips, eyes squeezing shut. Taking a deep breath, you turned in his direction. Jensen’s eyes were fixated on the floor; his head bowed, shoulders slumped.
“Was that necessary?” you growled.
“‘Mega, please,” his voice came out in a small tone.
“No, don’t give me that,” you shook your head, stepping towards him. “Jensen, I’m truly ashamed. Why would you do that? It's Jared. He's your best friend. He's a brother to you. All that because of what? Because he touched my knee?”
“I- I just-”
“Nuh-uh, I'm the one talking now. Jared would never do any harm to me or our pups. Never. I get it when you get overprotective whenever an alpha gets near me, but Jared? His mate was right there! There was no reason for you to create a scandal.”
“I didn't mean to.”
“I know, Alpha, I know you didn’t,” your voice softened as you heard the distress in his voice, something you had never heard before.
“I'm gonna apologize to him. I promise.”
“Good, that's the least you should do.”
“‘Mega, I'm sorry.”
“Me too,” you nodded, lips pressed into a thin line. “I'll be in our room.”
The Alpha was left alone with his loud thoughts as you made your way upstairs. You blew out a breath once you reached your room. After changing into an oversize t-shirt, you laid on your side of the bed. The mattress was cold against your skin. Closing your eyes, you reached to your stomach, hand resting on the baby bump. The pups were quiet now.
Heavy footsteps sounded on the stairs. Jensen dragged himself over to your shared bedroom. He changed into his pajamas and laid by your side. A content sigh left your lips as the mattress dipped.
“Jared texted,” he said, green eyes glued to the ceiling. “He said he gets it, and he's not mad. I apologized for being an ass either way.”
“Good,” you said without looking at him.
“You mad at me?” he turned on his side to look at you, his voice pained.
“I was mad at first,” you admitted, turning your head to glance at him. “Then I realized it's not your fault. It's normal for an alpha to get overprotective when their mate is carrying their pups. It's not your fault. And I know that you know Jared would never put our family in harm.”
“Yeah, I know. I trust him with my life.”
“Promise me you'll make sure things are good between you when you see him.”
“I promise, Omega.”
Jensen’s hand reached out to yours, interlocking your fingers.
“You're a bit off today,” he said, and you frowned. “Your scent… It's a bit different. What's happening?”
“I don't know,” you sighed. “Just not feeling so good today. That's all.”
“How are Thing one and Thing two doing?”
“They’re good,” a smile broke out across your face. “They’re a bit quieter now. Spending all day kicking and moving must be tiring.”
“I bet,” he chuckled. “This morning, when you were umm… spooning me, I woke up to some serious kicking to my back.”
A laugh escaped your lips. Jensen shifted in the bed. His hand pulled the fabric of your shirt up, exposing your belly, his face close.
“You troublemakers behave in there,” he said before kissing your skin. You chuckled.
“Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?”
“Just hold me, Alpha,” you pleaded.
Jensen turned off the bedside lamp and laid on his side. His arm slipped under his pillow as he waited for you to adjust. Slowly, you shifted on your right side, scooting closer to him. His firm chest was pressed against your back, his knees brushing the backs of yours. Slowly, his free arm rested on your waist, a big warm hand splayed out on your stomach under the fabric of the t-shirt. Your lips curled into a smile as you closed your eyes.
“Damn, your feet are cold,” he chuckled.
“Sorry.”
“It’s okay,” he nuzzled into the curve of your neck, his beard tickling at your skin. “We’ll get you warm in no time.”
“Can you believe that, in a little over a month, we’re gonna have them in our arms?” you said, voice soft barely upon a whisper.
“Yeah, I'm getting more used to the idea of having our pups here with us. I used to think that it was never going to happen and then it's happening and I, uh, I-”
“You get overwhelmed,” you finished for him, your hand reached for his over your belly.
“Yeah,” he sighed. “It feels too good to be true sometimes.”
“It does,” you smiled. A sudden ripple against your belly startled you. “Someone’s awake.”
“Where?” he asked excitedly.
You moved his hand to the right side of the stomach. A strong kick pushed against your abdomen.
“Oh, I felt that,” he chuckled. “That’s Thing one, right?”
“Yeah, it is.”
“I think he's mad at me for telling him to behave himself.”
“Nah, it's party time now,” you chuckled. “Here goes Two.”
Jensen felt a nudge at his forearm.
“Now’s not the time to party, guys,” the most adorable voice left Jensen’s lips.
“Don't be a party pooper,” you giggled. “They love it when we’re getting ready to sleep so they can wake up.”
“This feels so good,” he said, hand moving along your skin not to miss a single movement of the twins.
“Well, sometimes they get furious and it hurts a little.”
“That's not cool. You guys can't hurt momma,” you chuckled at his adorable tone.
“The other day one of them was having hiccups.”
“How did that feel?” Jensen rested his chin on your shoulder.
“Really weird. I thought something was wrong, and, when I researched, I figured it was just hiccups.”
A yelp left your lips. Jensen stiffened behind you.
“Shit, that one was strong, wasn't it?” his voice was filled with worry as his hand caressed your skin.
“Yeah, it was,” you yawned.
“You should get some sleep,” he kissed the mark on your neck.
“G’night, Alpha,” you mumbled, nestling into his embrace.
“Night, Omega. Sweet dreams.”

Warning: fluff, I think A/N: this is my first entry for Flash Fiction Challenge 3 hosted by the amazing @justagirlinafandomworld! My prompt was Johnny and June by Heidi Newfield. The crowd roared. The drums echoed steady and strong. You followed, strumming the guitar.
“Let’s rip some shit,” Jensen smirked.
Your man owned the stage from the opening air-jump to the last word he sang. Not focusing on him was hard. Especially when he wore that damn black leather jacket. He had all the attention to himself, yet he only had eyes for you. The burning passion in his green orbs reminded you that later you’d be all his.
The crowd roared. The show ended.
Jensen picked you up and kissed you lovingly. They didn't make love like this anymore.
