[ID: A screenshot of a tweet by Publishers week(…) that reads, "Breaking: The Internet Archive has lots its appeal in Hachette v. Internet Archive, the long-running, closely watched copyright case over the scanning and lending of print library books. Full story to follow". This is followed by a response by Jenny_tightpants / halomancer1, that reads, "Oh so the AI can read as many copyrighted books as it wants for free but when I want to do that it's suddenly an issue". End ID.]
insanity. I fucking hate this. The people depend on this. You know kw how fucking hard to source expsnsive old textbooks that you will never use again? So many are out of print but are still assigned to courses. Most don't come in accessible formats and for students you'd have to buy a physical copy, wait for weeks for someone else to converts these scans into a pdf or whatever just so you can fall behind in your studies. I ain't making this shit up. Also sometimes the scans aren't even readable in the pdf. They are just images so you can't even search for a word or a chapter

[Image descriptions in order: a tweet by @BirdRespecter "the information pimp", mock-responding to a tweet by @Teslaconomics "Teslaconomics", which has been included as an attached image. The Tesla tweet says "Honestly, I don't know how the competition isn't shitting their pants seeing the Cybertruck surviving this kind of testing". Attached is a photo of the Tesla cybertruck, showing multiple dents in the side of the car from bullets, but none have pierced through.
BirdRespecter's response says "I would guess it's because other automakers haven't pigeonholed themselves into selling cars to people who are scared of cities and post FBI race crime statistics on Facebook".
@halomancer1 "jenny_tightpants" replies to BirdRespecter, saying 'this is wild cuz like isn't a rigid body on cars a death trap? like, there's a reason cars are built to crumple in the way that they do when they crash, it's because it lets the body of the car absorb a ton of the impact so it isn't transferred to the passengers."
@I_Am CyberSmith "I Am CyberSmith" (verified) replies, saying "It's a tradeoff.]
["Given current urban crime-rates, bullet resistance is a higher priority.
@RyeDomaine "Riley Potter" responds "Do you think many people get into drive-by shootings, Cybersmith?"
@I_AM_CyberSmith "I Am CyberSmith" replies "Yes. It was a big news item a few years ago, a Lets-Play youtube content creator called Markiplier was caught up in a Los Angeles gang conflict."]

[Two replies by OP, the first says "let's fucking goooooooooooooo". Attached is a photo of the rock band Kiss with the caption "OKLAHOMA BE LIKE ABSOLUTELY NOT. VERY ILLEGAL". The band is wearing exaggerated metal makeup and costumes.
The second reply says "breaking: oklahoma has just banned every episode of every batman cartoon that has the joker in it".]
[A reply to OP by @ninjinister "Steven W. Hunt" which says "Except for the ones who made the bill".
OP replies with an image of a Dragon Ball Z character with red eyes and exaggerated red hair handing the viewer a clown card.]
[A series of replies to OP's initial tweets. "RyantheMagician#1095🎩♠️ " replies "This could legit be used to shut down just about any female performer under this definition tbh".

@babyleafsaladd "Tony Baloney" replies "THEY BANNED DOLLY PARTON BY ACCIDENT 😭😭😭".]
[@pbAstron... "Recreational Dentist" replies "How "flamboyant"? Because this could also be interpreted to ban halloween. And acting."
@s_e_a_n_ "Sean :)🍕" replies "all flamboyant women are illegal".]
[@Don... "Don Mattingly's Mustache" replies "BREAKING: Donald Trump banned from Oklahoma". Attached is a 3/4 face photo of Donald Trump with his hair swept back in front of a blurry nature background.

[@Luminanc... "SnakesHave2Penises" replies "I guess goths that go hard are out too."
Attached is a photo of a young adult goth. The left half of their head is shaved, with the top of their hair being a short mowhawk and the rest being long dreadlocks. They have pale skin and eye and nose makeup resembling a skull. Their teeth are dyed black and they're wearing black lipstick. Their left eye has a contact that makes their iris white rimmed with black, and their right eye is an orange contact. They have an ear stretcher in their visible earlobe, neck down they are covered in tattoos, and they are wearing several spiked and chain necklaces.]
