okay so I really want to write a fic about what the hell Amicia de Rune did with herself in the year immediately after the ending of A Plague Tale: Requiem

but I also need to finish my other WIPs too, including a certain ridiculous coffeeshop AU...

a place you want to go: back to the north of France

a book you want to read: Victory City, by Salman Rushdie

something fun you want to do: ride my souped-up Honda Monkey on trails along the spine of Oregon, camping the entire way

a habit you want to start: cleaning one thing around my house every day

something new you want to try: listening more than I talk, a goal I’ve had for 42 years now... this’ll be the year, I’m sure!

5. How do you like your eggs? - ooh I feel like I rotate my egg preferences seasonally, but I've been making this garlic miso noodle dish topped with a fried egg pretty regularly this winter that's been so perfectly warming that I'll go with that for today!

15. Do you have any houseplants? Do any of them have names? - Technically I think one or two of these might be "mine," but really all the houseplants are my wife's! I think she hasn't named any of them since the snake plant she and her roommate shared back in college when we first met

26. Can you cook or bake? If so, what are some of your specialties? -I can! do a lot of baking, especially in the winter, and in terms of specialities...I guess, showing off my philly roots, I make a mean whoopie pie haha! In the kitchen...hmm, I really like a ginger- and garlic-forward Thai peanut sauce I make, plus my homemade pasta and pesto in the summer when we have our basil plant going again!

a place you want to go:  I have actually decided to take a break from traveling (2021 and 2022 were insanity and I just wanna be hoooome), but I may do some working vacations around the country.

a book you want to read: The Priory of the Orange Tree! - I haven't heard a bad review of it yet.

something fun you want to do: Hunt down all the hot springs near me.

something you want to make: More epoxy wood art! I would love to have done at least ONE piece of furniture before the year is over.

a habit you want to start:  Keeping a consistent workout routine in the off season so I don't lose all my muscle.

something new you want to try: My friend is dying to go sky diving and IIII wouldn't mind tagging along.

something you want to finish from 2022:  Bro, this Airstream is gonna haunt me til the day I move into it - but I want to at least get the floor installed and the insulation installed/some electrical changes.... oh god. Don't make me think about the to do list.

something you want to stop doing: smoking weed every evening. Like once a week would be cool.

Would y’all like to read it or wait for the final product? Fair warning: it’s kinda rough, but it’ll give you a good idea of where the story is going. Plot holes will be filled in, I promise.

A note on script format: it doesn’t read the same way as prose. This is a visual and auditory medium that’s up to a wide variety of interpretations, which means the descriptions of scenery and sounds are **sparce** and vague, so you’ll be forced to fill in the blanks. I’m sorry, but that’s how it works. I collect visuals for myself so my aphantasia ass can see what I’m writing, but they’re totally available to you too.

There’s obviously no pressure to read anything at all, much less the first 30 pages of a rough draft, but I want to at least offer it to you.
