Dear @ouat2011

When I first came across your work, it was over a year ago and I was on short term disability.  As I waited for my toe to heal, I came across the Rucas Fan Ficion Fandom and when I first read the Stay trilogy, I was hooked.

Since then, I’ve followed your work and was (still am!) truly blown away by your talent.

As ridiculous as this may sound, your stories (as well as a handful of other Rucas writers) have given me the ability to escape from reality and escape into the world’s you’ve created to ease my mind.  I find myself jumping back into each universe every now and getting lost in your stories for hours.

A little over a month ago, I found out I have depression & anxiety.  Being fully aware of my thoughts and feelings plus having personal issues to deal with has been rough and has had me on edge.  Ever since I found out, I found myself re-reading your work to allow myself to breathe; to take a step back from real life.  Although many of your stories have angst, I honestly enjoy following the journeys you’ve created for our beloved characters. I find myself being in a relaxation state whenever I read your work :)

Although you may not believe it, I genuinely believe you are gifted and majorly talented and it’s been an honor to have gotten to know you.  You are truly an inspiration to me and I hope that you will continue to share your talent with us!  Even when there are haters that criticize your work, I hope you remember that there are people like me who are cheering you on and will always support you no matter what direction you take your writing to.  If you ever decide to take a break or even walk away from it for a while, just know once you come back, I’ll be ready with all my reaction gifs!

Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your writing world and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
