@yourcoolauntie I fully agree. This interview was like wandering into an absolute treasure cove and getting to discover so many of the things we've always wanted to know. Not one mediocre question IMO. (Well, maybe the MCU one, because there was no way he was gonna reply to that whether it is or isn't happening for him)
Most of all he looked SO relaxed and comfortable, and freely sharing everything to the point that he was like 'I should probably stop boring people with this nerdiness' (no, please keep going, man) was so nice to see really. That interviewer was truly incredible in so many ways.
BABES WAKE UP, 96 MIN OF PEDRO INTERVIEW JUST DROPPED

bookitstudio - You want to know what you’re doing, but you want to make it alive.
Push the scene to the limit by risking failure, but don’t give up.

Matt Damon on future collaborations with Ben Affleck
From the Matt Damon Career Retrospective in SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations, moderated by Jenelle Riley (6 December 2012)
-
MATT: The great thing is we have this little company together [Pearl Street Films]. And so now my partner in the company is the hottest director in Hollywood. [...] I would love to be directed by him. I think that would be a lot of fun. And he's clearly a fantastic director. And I'd love to direct him! You know? He was in actor jail for a while. I remember talking to him 10 years ago, when he was on the cover of those magazines every week. And no one knew more than him what a disaster it was. He said, "I'm in the worst place you can be. I sell magazines and not movie tickets." And it was just a big hole and it just took him a decade, but he dug his way out. And I know what he wants is to work. He loves acting and he's at his best when he trusts the director. He wants some directors that he can trust to work with. So I'd love to direct him in something.

[Full transcript under the cut]

RILEY: We have a lot of questions. Probably half this stack is wanting to know if you're going to be collaborating with Ben again?
MATT: Yeah. Well I mean, I don't know on what, but yeah. The great thing is we have this little company together [Pearl Street Films]. And so now my partner in the company is the hottest director in Hollywood. So that's really good for our little company, 'cause people are sending us a lot of material. And so we're looking at stuff. We've got a couple things we've been developing that we've been talking about. But you know, we really want it to, whatever it is to— It's that 'Good Will Hunting' rule: we wanna make sure that we love it. So we have our eyes open, yeah.
RILEY: Something that you guys could both act in?
MATT: Either way! I mean, I would love to be directed by him. And now I'm sure his performance in The Town and then his performance in Argo are so good that now the big directors I think are starting to call and want to hire him, just as an actor.

Sorry late to the party but I was at the Walt Disney Emmy party Monday and just want to say that Tom and Zawe are actually quite affectionate and sweet with one another... the idea its a PR stunt is pretty silly. Zawe would step away while Tom basically stayed in one place because he was busy getting asked for selfies all night long. I'll be honest, I almost asked as he was being very gracious but I chickened out. The person he was taking to most was Jenelle Riley they were chatting the whole time and laughing a lot and she would sort of step outside when fans approached for photos but then he'd go back to her/his publicist. Also saw him talk to Ayo Edebiri and Diego Luna.
Maybe he can get a guest spot on The Bear
