gay people need opinions

I’m not gay but I’ve noticed Jeepers Creepers as a new “gay icon”.

I’m a firm believer in separating artist from work, but the man who made it Victor Salva is a confirmed child assaulter. I’ve been seeing Jeepers pressed as a “gay slasher icon written by a gay man”. As if that’s a positive thing.

so feel free to share opinions, gay people: are you happy a monster written by a pedophile, which is implied to be a representation of his predatory nature towards children, as your LGBT+ icon? i saw gay people angry Pennywise(child killer) was being used as a gay icon so I’m surprised no ones said anything about Creeper and the fact he’s written by a child molestor.

Feel free to share thoughts. I’ve been a fan of the Jeepers Creepers films since I was a kid(and even before knowing about the maker) but I think its weird people are praising him as a gay icon on tumblr when he’s very child-molestor in of himself...
