Hasbro is bringing together the worlds of Jurassic Park and Transformers in honor of the former’s 30th anniversary. The Jurassic Park x Transformers action figure two-pack is available to pre-order for $74.99 exclusively at Amazon.

Jurassic Park (1993)

A scientist has made an island with living dinosaurs. John Hammond invited four people, including his grandchildren, to Jurassic Park. Will it go to plan? One of the park's workers tries to steal the dinosaur embryos and shuts down security. It's now a race for survival with dangerous creatures on the island.

If you want to watch the movie for yourself, stop reading! This post contains spoilers to the storyline.

On Isla Nublar, an InGen employee is attacked and killed by a Velociraptor, possibly a pack leader known as the Big One, while attempting to transport it to a heavily fortified enclosure.

This prompts the worker's family to file a lawsuit against the company and successfully scares InGen's investors into thinking the park is unsafe. InGen's CEO, John Hammond, decides to reassure the investors by bringing a group of experts to his park to gain their approval. Among the group he invites are paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant and paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Settler, two scientists whose excavations he's funded; Dr. Ian Malcolm, a mathematician (or "chaotician", as he calls himself); and his investor's lawyer, Donald Gennaro.

Meanwhile, in Costa Rica, Dennis Nedry meets with Dr. Lewis Dodgson, a rival scientist of InGen who works for Biosyn. Dennis is a computer programmer working for John on Isla Nublar and has recently become dissatisfied with his treatment by InGen. Dennis agrees to steal dinosaur embryos for Dodgson for a total of $1.5 million.

The group John has assembled arrives on the island by helicopter and then takes two 1992 Wrangler Sahara Jeeps into the park, where they are amazed to find a Brachiosaurus and a herd of Parasaurolophus.

John takes his assembled team to the Visitor Center and learns that InGen has been able to recreate dinosaurs using DNA taken from mosquitoes that fed on dinosaur blood and preserved in amber. The mosquito DNA was spliced with frog DNA to fill in the gaps in the genetic code. InGen scientists cloned only female dinosaurs, eliminating the risk of uncontrolled breeding. The crew then enters the lab, led by Dr. Henry Wu, and witnesses the birth of a baby Velociraptor.

At Alan's request, the crew is then taken to the Velociraptor enclosure, where they meet park ranger Robert Muldoon. Robert tells the group how vicious and intelligent the raptors are. He explains that there are only three raptors left because the Big One, who has taken over as the alpha female, has "killed all but two of the others" of the eight raptors. Meanwhile, the scientists lower a cow attached to a harness into a dinosaur enclosure and watch as the Velociraptor kills the cow, destroying the supporting cables and tearing the harness. After the experiment, the crew goes inside for lunch.

During the lunch break, Alan, Ian, and Ellie begin to express concerns about the park after the initial shock and wonder wears off. Ian questions the ethics of cloning species that have not lived for millions of years. Ellie expresses concern that the scientists may not be thinking about the implications of what they are cloning. Alan remains fairly neutral on the issue, although he does advise John to be careful. Donald is the only one who fully agrees, thanks to the amount of money they could make off the island. Hammond puts it eloquently: "I don't believe it. You're supposed to come down here and defend me against these two characters, and the only one I have on my side is the bloodsucking lawyer!"

After lunch, John's two grandchildren, Lex and Tim Murphy, arrive. John's grandchildren join the crew and take a tour of the park in electric tour vehicles consisting of two 1992 Ford Explorer XLTs. Both take an instant liking to Alan, who doesn't appreciate the attention as he doesn't have much interest in children. The group visits the Dilophosaurus enclosure first, but to their disappointment, no Dilophosaurus appears. Next, they go to the Tyrannosaurus enclosure, where a goat is released into the enclosure, but the Tyrannosaurus still does not come out of the woods. Finally, the crew finds a sick Triceratops, which is examined by veterinarian Dr. Gerry Harding.

Ellie decides to stay with Gerry while the rest of the crew return to the Ford Explorers and head back to the Visitor Center.

A tropical storm hits the island and most of InGen's employees leave, except for John, Robert and Chief Systems Engineer Ray Arnold. During the cyclone, Dennis begins his plan and disables all park security (except for the raptor fences). As a result, the Tyrannosaurus breaks through the deactivated electric fence surrounding its pen, devours the stranded goat, and wreaks havoc on the roadway, attacking Tim and Lex who are hiding in the car left alone by Donald after he fled.

Alan lights a flare to draw the T-Rex away from the children, but Ian inadvertently interferes, only to be chased himself into a bathroom where Donald is hiding. The T-Rex collapses the hut, breaking Ian's leg and devouring Donald.

Lex and Alan fight the T-Rex while the broken Explorer, manned by Tim, is pushed over the edge of the enclosure and crashes into a tree below. Once Alan and Lex get to the bottom of the enclosure, Alan has to climb the tree that holds the wrecked Explorer with Tim inside. He successfully rescues Tim, but they have to flee the Explorer when it starts falling down the tree.

Shortly after escaping the wreckage, Ellie and Robert arrive on the scene. At first they believe that the only survivor of the chaos is Ian, but upon further investigation they find two sets of footprints: one is Alan's and one belongs to one of the children. Just then, the Tyrannosaurus returns and Ian, Robert and Ellie barely manage to escape in their jeep.

Meanwhile, Dennis crashes his Jeep into an embankment, and while trying to winch it up, he encounters a juvenile Dilophosaurus, which spits a tarlike poison into Dennis' eyes, causing him extreme pain before the saboteur manages to get back into his Jeep. When Nedry thinks he's safe, he turns his head and the Dilophosaurus manages to get into the car with him and continues to attack him, eventually killing him. The modified canister used to smuggle the embryos is lost in the process.

Alan, Tim and Lex spend the night in a tree. The next morning, while hiking to safety, they discover hatched eggs, which means that the dinosaurs are indeed breeding. Alan hypothesizes that frog DNA is responsible, since some frog species are known to spontaneously change sex in a single-sex environment.

Ray tries to hack Dennis' computer to turn the power back on, but fails, so he does a full system reset, which requires manually resetting the circuit breakers from the utility shed. When he does not return, Ellie and Robert follow and discover that the Raptors have escaped; the shutdown cut the power to the remaining electric fences around their pit. Robert realizes that the raptors are close and tells Ellie to go to the utility shed herself so she can turn the power back on while Robert tries to hunt the raptor. Ellie manages to turn the power back on, but Tim loses consciousness after being electrocuted while climbing the fence to get to the other side.

Ellie runs from a Raptor hiding in the maintenance shed after discovering Ray's severed arm, and after escaping, Ellie meets Alan, and they both go back to Ian and John in the shelter.

Meanwhile, the raptors set a trap for Muldoon in exactly the way Grant described at the beginning of the movie; a raptor rustles in the bushes right in front of Muldoon, and just before he can shoot the raptor, the Big One emerges from the bushes right next to Muldoon. Muldoon utters the famous words "celver girl" before the Big One pounces on him and devours him.

Lex and Tim also narrowly escape the Big One and her fellow raptors. Tim locks one in the freezer and Lex knocks out the Big One for several minutes. Alan, Ellie, Lex and Tim head to the computer room to try to reboot the system. Alan and Ellie stop the Big One from trying to open the door to the computer room until the power is restored and the electromagnetic locks start working. Lex is finally able to restore the park's computer systems so she can call John to request a helicopter rescue for the survivors.

With the door secured, the Raptor enters the room through the window after Grant shoots it through the glass. The group climbs up into the ceiling crawlspace and arrives at the Visitor Center's skeleton exhibit only after Lex is attacked by the Big One, who leaps at her. The Raptors follow, and after a scuffle with the Big One on top of the fossil exhibits and the Raptors blocking their escape route, help comes from an unlikely source when the Tyrannosaurus suddenly appears and kills both Raptors saving Alan, Ellie, Lex, and Tim in the process. It prevents anyone else in the group from being killed by the raptors.

The four of them get into John and Ian's jeep and drive to the landing strip. Alan decides not to support the park, a decision John agrees with. As everyone flies away in the helicopter, the children fall asleep next to Alan, who contemplates a flock of pelicans flying nearby, the surviving relatives of the dinosaurs they escaped.

Forza Horizon 5 Adds Iconic Cars From Back To The Future, Jurassic Park, And Knight Rider

Developer Playground Games has announced its next wave of Forza Horizon 5 content will be focused on newer innovations in the realm of automobiles. This means that players will have the opportunity to drive around Mexico in a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, 2021 Toyta GR Yaris, 2023 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo S, and 2023 Kia EV6 GT. However, for many, those are unlikely to be the highlight of this batch of releases. Available tomorrow, Forza Horizon 5 is bringing several iconic vehicles from Universal Studios films and TV shows.

The Universal Icons Car Pack adds KITT from Knight Rider, Jurassic Park‘s 1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, and a distinct version of the Delorean Time Machine from each Back to the Future film in the trilogy. Each Time Machine features a unique look and visual effects once you hit 88 miles per hour. The Jurassic Park Wrangler features the park’s logo as well as the iconic color scheme from the film. Finally, KITT includes a body kit that includes Super Pursuit Mode.

This isn’t the first time Forza Horizon 5 has introduced licensed vehicles from pop-culture properties. Players can already purchase the Forza Horizon 5: Fast X Car Pack as well as the Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion. In addition to those aforementioned vehicles, this season adds 17 EventLab props to help players build modern highways and a robot collectible out in the world.

We absolutely loved Forza Horizon 5 when it came out in 2021, awarding it a 9.5 out of 10, naming it one of the top 10 games of 2021, and awarding it both Best Microsoft Exclusive and Best Racing Game for that year. The Universal Icons Car Pack will be available tomorrow, June 18. The Mustang arrives on June 20, the IONIQ and EV6 land in-game on June 27. The Yaris comes out on July 4 and the Taycan on July 11.

First day in WEEKS that it hasn’t rained, so I took my Jurassic Park jeep out to the grocery! It’s only the second time this summer I’ve had it out of the garage, because it’s topless and the weather has been horridly wet.

Now if only it can stay dray long enough to drain the standing water out of the fields, we’ll be in good shape. Most of the farmers around here don’t even have their crops in yet, and it’s almost July. I don’t even want to think about what this weather is going to do to next season’s food prices.

Making sure they stuck together, the siblings ran fast through the woods as the dino chased behind them. They crossed an open field when the dinosaur broke out of the trees. Zach suddenly stopped his siblings when they had come across a cliff with a water fall. The dino was still going after them.

"We'll have to jump," Maya states.

Gray looked at his sister in surprise before looking down at the water below. He looked back at his older siblings in fear.

"I can't," he tells them.

Zach placed his hands on his younger brother's shoulders.

"You can." he reassures him.

"Ready?! One…two…three, jump!" Maya said.

The siblings all jumped at the same time just as the dino came up behind them and tried to snap its jaw around them. They landed in the water and Zach and Maya pulled Gray with them to keep him from surfacing too soon. When they finally did surface, after completely running out of oxygen, they were happy to see that the dino had left. They swam to the bank and Maya helped pull Zach up, who then helped Gray up.

"You jumped," Zach says to Gray, in an impressed tone.

There was a brief silence between the siblings before they started to laugh and hug each other, happy they survived. After climbing out of the water, Maya turned her back to her brothers. Zach and Gray took their shirts off to wring out the water before switching places with Maya to allow her to do the same. When they were all somewhat dry, they walked away from the waterfall and into some more woods, seeking a safe place. Gray led the way as Zach and Maya followed him from behind. Gray had stopped walking, bending down to pick something up and he was shaking slightly. Curious as to what he had found, Maya came up behind him and saw he was holding a cracked, white hard hat that had blood on it. She quickly took it from him and tossed it aside.

"What's that?" Zach spoke up, walking up to stand by his sister.

Gray and Maya looked up to see what Zach was talking about. It looked like an old, abandoned building. The siblings shared a look before walking up to the building. Zach pushed the doors open and led the way inside. The Mitchell siblings looked around before Maya picked up what looked to be a fossilized dinosaur tooth. She looked around before spotting a strip of cloth on the ground that read Jurassic Park on it. She wrapped it around the top part of the tooth before turning to Gray.

"You still got those matches?" she asks him.

Gray rummaged around in his fanny pack before pulling out the box of matches. Zach took them from him, struck a match before lighting the cloth. Now Maya was holding a makeshift torch. She led the way further into the building and her brothers followed her. They eventually came across two old Jurassic Park jeeps.

"They're 1992 Wrangler Sahara Jeeps." Gray said.

The siblings looked around the makeshift garage of the place before Maya looked back at the jeeps.

"Zach, Gray…do you guys remember when you both managed to fix up grandpa's old Malibu?" she asks her brothers.

The brothers shared a looked before nodding their heads. Maya gave them a smile and the brothers immediately got to work. She made sure to stay out of their way as they worked together, opting to climb into the driver's seat.

"Do…do you think it's out there?" Zach asks, having heard a snap.

He then looks at Gray who had a frightened look on his face.

"I know for the fact that it's not out there." Maya piped up, shooting a look at Zach for putting that thought into their younger brother's head.

Zach sent her an apologetic look before taking the battery out of the Jeep and handed it over to Gray.

"Here, take this. You're much stronger than me." he tells him, trying to keep him distracted.

Gray took the battery and held on to it. Zach continued to work under the hood before gesturing to Gray to come back over. He took the battery from him and put it back in before shutting the hood.

"Okay. Maya, turn it over." he tells his sister.

Maya nodded and turned the key, that had been left in the jeep, in the ignition before exclaiming happily when the jeep started. Zach and Gray cheered before Zach hopped into the passenger's seat and Gray climbed into his lap. Once she was sure her brother's were buckled in, Maya drove out of the building an onto the dirt road. They had just missed Claire and Owen who had been looking for them.

I have to say goodbye to my car today, it was deemed a total loss after I drove into a mini lake of water that built up on the highway during a storm. I was going around 50mph when I hydroplaned into a wall. I walked away untouched, no airbags went off, no other cars around, everything harmed was replaceable.

I am very lucky, but sad, this car brought me to meet so many lovely people, journeyed to new places, jammed to most excellent songs, and can’t forget about the naughty fun I’ve had in there too. It’s a luxury I took for granted.

Maybe now I can get one of my imaginary dream cars:

Thanks! It's a '93 Wrangler Sahara, which is the same model used in the original Jurassic Park, hence the license plate and decor:

It's extremely well-loved (read: beat up and slightly broken), since it spent a couple of decades as a utility vehicle on my aunt and uncle's ranch. I bought it from my aunt when she was no longer able to drive, and when Laura acquired her velociraptor puppet, it began a second career as Cupcake the Dinosaur's parade transportation:

For parades, we pull out the back seat, and Cupcake's puppeteer (usually my brother-in-law) gets strapped down to the seat brackets so he doesn't fall out.
