fic moodboard inspired by into the fire by @gayhoediaz
Buck thinks he could be drenched in gasoline and lit on fire, and it wouldn’t make a difference - he wouldn’t know - he’s already there; they’re it. Their bodies together. Them together.
After all, this is what a fire is - it’s what a fire does. It doesn’t matter how controlled it is, or how contained - a fireplace, or even a harmless, small candle flame - all it takes is one mistake - one misstep - and it devours everything in its path with ruthless enthusiasm.
#reread this one today and was just as good as the first time and I really wanted to make something for it!!!#tried to fit as many stuff as i could hope i managed to get the vibes correctly#if you haven't read this fic look away from the next tags ok great#the elevator kiss. chris's book and what happened after. bobby at the hospital. buck and natalia's talk in the jeep.#buck going over to hen's at night (with the tea). and eddie's and buck's talk at the end#and the do better line with emerald green felt like it was a must#just incredible fic mwah hits all the painful spots#would read it ten more times#so yeah nie thank you for writing this fic and sharing it with us im very grateful for it <3#buddie#fic moodboard#m*mbs#buddie fic

May I scream about a detail I see no one talking about. Take a good look at this lovely MB. Note that there's 9 slots in the grill. (photo is not mine)
Now look at Sarge. He only has 7 slots. 7. Slots is a post-war Jeep trait. So I'm honestly wondering if there was a copyright issue and if in-lore Sarge is smaller than other MBs.
Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

🌹 i'm very excited to see what you're working on :)
Thank you (and thank you for your wonderful art work!)
Jeffers himself was still unsure how the Emergency could have even come about or what exactly the Emergency had been in the first place. When the Emergency was happening, Jeffers simply assumed that it must have had something to do with the economy or foreign policy, or perhaps it was related to…inflation, filibusters, gerrymandering, or some other fancy word that Jeffers couldn’t understand. And he wasn’t sure what Dr. Garrison had to do with that.
#jeffers mbs#Poor Jeeps#He's somehow more clueless in my fics then he is in the show#Believe it or not I wrote this before Sophie's post about Dr. Garrison's name reminding her about the word Gerrymandering#So when I saw the post I laughed because I guess Jeeps has his answer now

Car Spot: Willys MB Jeep
It was given a Purple Heart in WWII. The Willys MB Jeep is this week's spot.
One of three decisive weapons the U.S. had during WWII It was almost a case of being in the right place at the right time. America had just been pulled into WWII. Our boys needed a vehicle lighter than the 3/4 ton Dodge trucks used then. The idea of the jeep originated with the infantry, which needed a low-profile, powerful vehicle with four-wheel drive. It was turned over to commercial…

During World War II, the Willys MB, the famous Jeep, was stored and transported disassembled in wooden boxes for easy handling and quick assembly on the battlefield. This storage method ensured that the vehicles arrived in good condition to tackle different terrains. The Jeep was developed in 1941 by Willys-Overland Motors to meet the needs of the US military. With four-wheel drive and a robust design, the Willys MB and its version produced by Ford, the GPW, have become essential for military transport. After the war, Willys began manufacturing civilian versions, which evolved into the Jeep brand we know today. The name "Jeep" probably comes from the pronunciation of the letters "GP" (General Purpose), used to describe the vehicle. Another theory suggests that the name may have been inspired by the character "Eugene the Jeep" from the Popeye comics. The Jeep remains a symbol of durability and versatility in the off-road vehicle segment.

Nr.329, The Willys MB Jeep.
Made this over the weekend, easy Tamiya build.
The Willys MB and the Ford GPW, both formally called the U.S. Army truck, 1⁄4‑ton, 4×4, command reconnaissance, commonly known as the Willys Jeep]Jeep, or jeep, and sometimes referred to by its Standard Army vehicle supply nr.G-503, were highly successful American off-road capable, light military utility vehicles.
Well over 600,000 were built to a single standardized design, for the United States and the Allied forces in World War II, from 1941 until 1945. This also made it (by its light weight) the world's first mass-produced four-wheel-drive car, built in six-figure numbers.
