Reasons for why Kanan Jarrus/Caleb Dume and Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert are one and the same.

they're both brown haired men with goatees and a nose that's hard to get right (kanan's nose is hard for me to draw ok)

Both changed their names and their true loves were the first to know their true birth names

Kanan: Flynn: Caleb Eugene

Kanan and Eugene were alone at a young age Kanan: Eugene: order 66 orphan

after they became these cocky scoundrels and ladies men (idk about eugene i think they implied it??)

they both met and fell in love with 18 yr old women with beautiful voices and green eyes

said women did not take any of their “charm”

Kanan and Eugene were hopelessly in love with them while Hera/Rapunzel took more time Hera - rebels s4 says it all Rapunzel - Eugene asking to marry her a bunch of times

These women were on a mission and Kanan (in A New Dawn) and Eugene were just along for the ride (oh but it became more)

Hera: Rapunzel: Empire stuff lanterns

Hera and Rapunzel are both optimistic and able to see the good in others

Kanan and Eugene both left their previous ways of life to be with these women

Kanan and Eugene went on a lil adventure with Hera/Rapunzel after meeting them!

They both revealed something about themselves to Hera/Rapunzel in times of peril

Kanan - being a jedi, stopping falling catwalk front crushing Hera Eugene - his real name, when the cave was filling up with water

Kanan and Eugene both come to rescue Hera/Rapunzel when they were kidnapped and proceeded to die/almost die (close enough) oh if only Hera had magic tears

Kanan Jarrus and Eugene Fitzherbert were lost for a long time, and then they found something and someone to live for

the only difference between these two is that Kanan and Hera didn't kiss after their adventure in A New Dawn like Eugene and Rapunzel and Kanan is in Star Wars so naturally he died before he and Hera could have the happily ever after Eugene got

Okay so I watched Empire Strikes Back tonight, and like, how have I never seen any Varigo as Han Solo and Leia? Like they’re perfect.

Anyway, this triggered a “what if I wrote a whole fic about this and put all the characters from tts and vat7k into Star Wars?”

So here is who I’d think be who. Keep in mind, my Star Wars knowledge is limited to mainly just the original trilogy, and even then isn’t much.

Varian - Leia So, basically instead of Varian being a princess or prince of whatever planet Leia is from, he would be a royal scientist who was naturally good at the force and just didn’t know it yet.

Eugene - Luke Luke and Leia would be cousins in this, Eugene being the son of Darth Vader, and Varian being Vader’s nephew. Eugene, after being born, gets taken to an orphanage on Tatooine, where Ben watches him and makes sure he’s not evil. Hugo - Han Solo Hugo would still work for Donella, he would be more of a bounty hunter than he is in the movies. He has his own ship, but Don gives him assignments. Olivia - Chewbacca/Millennium Falcon Chewy: so I’m imagining like a big robot that Hugo built, she could’ve worked as R-2, but Chewbacca is always with Han, so it just made more sense. In this Olivia would be used less for sneakiness and more for brute strength, because Hugo needs that more Millennium Falcon: Olivia is an AI in the ship, Chewy is just Chewy Donella - No one! She doesn’t really fit with anyone, or maybe she does and I just don’t remember them. So here she’s kind of just inserted Qurin - Leia’s dad Seeing as we never see Leia’s adopted father, we don’t know much about him, just that he was an old Jedi master. (I think. I’m getting most of my info from my dad, so let me know if I’m wrong) But he presumably dies when her planet blows up, so that’s what happens to Qurin here! Sorry! Edmund - Darth Vader So, since Eugene is Luke, Edmund had to be Darth Vader, and the more I think about it, the more I like it. Especially because of Dark kingdom/Dark side. Sorry to Edmund fans, (not sure how many there are) but I can personally totally see him being evil if the Dark kingdom was just a bit more evil. Rapunzel - Jedi leader Not an actual character that I know of, she’s just one of the generals or whatever for the Jedi. Lance - Lando Calrissian Because it just works okay. Especially for Lance’s first appearance in the show, when he was kind-of reformed, but not really, then later becomes better. It just works. Also I like the idea of Lance and Hugo knowing each other before hand. Eugene and Hugo did, it’s not too much of a stretch to say Lance did too. Baron - Jaba the hut I have nothing else for this, it’s self explanatory. The Force: So we’re going more moonstone with this. Those who can connect to the moonstone are Jedi, and they can use its magic. Usually trained from a very young age. If you’re a Jedi you get a fun hair color (it matches your lightsaber), and makes it very hard to blend in. This is mainly cause I like the Varian’s hair stripe means he’s got some moon magic in him theory. Dark side: Dark kingdom wants to protect the world from the moonstone, they think it’s dangerous. Darth Vader rose to power despite being connected to the moonstone and using the force, he claims he can use it without being connected, but he can’t. The reason he wears the mask isn’t because he’s terribly disfigured, cause that’s a little bit of bad messaging, it’s so he hides his bright red, glows-when he-force-chokes-someone hair. And cause he thinks it looks cool. I didn’t want to make Adira and Hector evil, so I just didn’t include them, let me know if you think of a way they work. If I do end up writing this, it will take a long time, feel free to use the ideas for your own fic, especially if you know more about Star Wars than I do, just let me know and please credit me. :)

I had this idea already but then I saw a instagram post fan casting Taylor as Eugene (i am now against Disney live action remakes on principle, but I'd be lying if I say Taylor won't suit it. He does.) and then a couple of Tangled au popped up in AO3, so I had to get this out

Based on this adorable scene in the Tangled movie:

Funnily enough while drawing I thought of a parallel: Rapunzel's blonde hair is actually naturally brown, just like how Nick dyed his brown hair to blonde for Henry (also that photoshot on Nick with flowers is so damn pretty)

I'll probably do return of the jedi next? I have two more ideas on cross overs left, so again, if you have any ideas thrown them at me please!!!

Under the cover of Darkness by randomlyimagine - time travel, fix-it, 57k complete...ish. (there's a sequel that is tbc.) Being pulled back through in time, getting to see the Old Jedi Order, Ben, even Anakin Skywalker, before he Fell…it was an opportunity Luke had never dreamed he’d have.

If only he and Mara hadn’t been pulled back in the middle of a mission where they were undercover as Sith.

slipping into the ground or into your arms by BananasAreForParties - rated E. Fluff and angst, mutual pining, implied/referenced child abuse, 41k complete. More than colleagues. Less than friends. Better than acquaintances. They remain in balance. The Command, the dark whisper, slumbers and Mara has no desire to poke a sleeping rancor. Summary: You and Din take a rest from all the destruction and chaos of being hunted by bounty hunters.

Din had finally managed to fix the engine and the heater to the Razor Crest. The three of you had been freezing for the night, and you were glad to be on the move again.

He was exhausted. And for the first time you could actually see it on his face. Not just in his body language.

As he walked back into the Crest to start it moving, you walked over to your big tough Mandalorian.

"Din. Why don't you try get some sleep?" You asked him softly,

"Cyar'ika I need to get us out of here, if we stay any longer..." He responded before you cut him off.

"Oh my handsome man, I am extremely capable of being able to fly this by myself." You told him cupping his cheek as they blushed bright red,

What you didn't expect was for Din to bury his head into your shoulder and pull you close to him.

"I just don't want to fall asleep without you." Came a muffled voice from your shoulder.

Something inside of you just warmed up. He was being vulnerable with you. You gently ran your fingers through his flattened curly hair and just stood there for a moment.

"Why don't you have a shower, and I'll get us into hyperspace then we'll cuddle okay?" You suggested.

There was a slight pause and you felt a nod from him. You smiled and kissed his cheek gently, sometimes you wondered how Din wore his helmet and how he hid his feelings for a long time.

You lifted the crest up off the planet, making sure to avoid any more damage and plotted a course for hopefully a quiet planet. Din didn't have a long shower, and returned to the bed sitting waiting for you.

Walking over to him, you stood Infront of him and stripped down the layers. He pulled you towards him and sat you down in his lap, his fingers dancing across the scars that scattered your body.

"We should rest Din." You suggested trying to avoid the thoughts of your scars,

"Okay." Din pulled you against his chest and laid down.

"Cyare. Your scars are beautiful. You are beautiful." Din whispered obviously sensing your discomfort,

"I don't know what beauty you see in them." You mumbled holding his hand still.

"They are stories of survival. Of your survival mesh'la. You are strong and beautiful, and the scars are apart of that. Even if you don't think so, I love them and I love you." Din explained kissing you gently, feeling his curls brush against you.

You closed your eyes, and felt the calm. This was one space that you felt safe. With Din. Relaxing against him, you let him run over the scars.

"I love you too Din." You whispered just enough for the two of you to hear. The scars on your arms and body were ones you didn't worry about much, but it was the one that blinded you in your eye that you struggled at the thought of.

Quickly falling asleep in the arms of your Mandalorian, you both rested peacefully for a while. Grogu was still wrapped up nice and warm. And you all made it off that damn ice planet intact. Something made you jump awake, wasn't sure if it was a dream or a general disturbance. But looking up at Din, you stared and appreciated how handsome he is.

"I can feel you staring cy'are." Din mumbled,

"Sorry." You responded a deep blush reddening your cheeks.

"Don't be, I'm happy you get to look at me without the helmet." Din spoke his voice still laced with sleep.

"If we ever get these bounties off us. Where do you want to go?" You asked quietly,

There was a moment of quiet, and to be honest you had thought Din had fallen asleep again.

"I want to go to a planet, one with a forest and a nice little cabin. And only taking jobs that are easy, that don't require being gone days at a time. What about you?" Din explained giving you a squeeze,

"I think that sounds nice." Was all you responded.

You wanted a nice home. Somewhere that you didn't have to keep moving spots all of the time. Somewhere to call home. Somewhere to rest. Possibly rest with Din.

Finally. You both fell back to sleep. The presence of each other. The comfort of Din not being clad in full armour.

Anakin also loves his padawan @shesdaylight bc Rapunzel is basically his annoying little sister and also hugely compassionate, empathetic, kind and super talented if he does say so himself. Rapunzel gave up being a princess to study and train as a Jedi because she wanted to help others and see the universe and the stars. Imagine that!

We haven't discussed a lot of post Revenge of the Sith for our muses but I do know that Anakin would not go out of his way to track her down or kill her and would very much be hoping she never got caught by any Inquisitors or harmed in any way. He would always regret betraying her and leaving her on her own in the world of the Empire. The thought of being confronted by her would likely terrify him.

He gets by simply by refusing to face everything he's done and the very real human cost of his actions and Rapunzel would be a stark reminder.

for star wars, i don’t think i've talked about my duke of mandalore Jango!!

haven’t figured out how to swing him being jaster's kid long enough for it to matter, but then not so long that forgetting all about it wouldn't be realistic. but!! jango gets kidnapped by the duchy ’cause of some nonsense rule about mandalore only being able to be ruled by family of the previous mand'alor, so we’ve got a king of ba sing se sort of situation where satine and bo-katan's dad is the one actually controlling mandalore, claiming to be jango's regent or whatever until he’s old enough to take the throne.

buddha/rapunzel vibes where he's super sheltered in the glass city? except he has a few mando’ade teachers sneaking in some training (kal, myles, arla maybe?) though they don't dare tell him anything for fear of revealing the haat mando’ade building up again, and also they don't want to put jango in unnecessary danger — plausible deniability and all that.

enter jaster, when jango is finally of age for both the haat’ade and the new mandalorians, who calls in a favor from dooku to send a jedi in and investigate all the places in the palace his other spies can't get to. enter qui-gon, reluctantly posing as a visiting diplomat with obi-wan disguised as a servant, because for whatever reason they can’t get a master in undercover but obi is young enough to not be suspicious and is almost ready to take the knight trials anyway.

EXCEPT satine typically handles the diplomacy part of jango's rule (to keep as much power away from him as possible), so while qui-gon is politicking with satine, obi is meant to be on recon. except he keeps running into the mysterious duke. who has no idea what a jedi is, but doesn't think obi-wan acts very much like a servant at all
