gmmtv endings have a tendency to miss the mark for me (mostly with wrapping up character arcs) which makes me super wary of where Jean's storyline will end and what lesson they are trying to teach. we've seen her triggered a number of times, and this ep we see her triggered to point of flashbacks while trying to be intimate with Tony. i realllyyy dont think Jean and alex should explore the possibility of a relationship right now, let alone rush to be together/makeout! especially since they cant even talk about that night, nor can jean name her trauma to herself, friends, or alex. its just so sad! i feel for her, and it doesnt seem like alex even remotely understands the trauma he gave her. he thinks of it as simply giving her a memory of "bad sex", but its clear that jean holds sexual trauma from that experience. at the very least it was a complete disregard of her boundaries, and at most an assault! likkkeeee i need them to name it as such. first and foremost i want to see jean heal! all the rest is confetti.

they are doing well with discussing sooooo many other taboo yet important topics, so i hope they dont fuck up this sl but i guess we'll see. unfortunately my hopes are not high at all from the vibes im picking up from the show...

The Warp Effect may just be the queerest TV show I watch all year

It's giving us discussions about penetrative sex

It's exploring the magic of a gay club's bathroom

It's looking at ways to conceive

It's showing the value of being an ally

It's giving great examples of female friendships and supportive relationships

And it is very aware that we want this to happen.

I cannot move past Joy AND Pepzi of KinnPorsche working on The Warp Effect. Pepzi, in the middle, is responsible for those beautiful VegasPete scenes.

And I'm hoping since the show's cinematographer is an asshole with a broken arm that Joy, one of the best real-life cinematographer, comes in and plays herself.

Because anyone with eyes could see that Mollie (I love that the subtitles continue to use the non-binary they when referring to them) paired with anyone would melt people's faces off. Look at this shot! This is a bisexual awakening! One poly sandwich with me in the middle, please!

First off, it’s very interesting how the topic of forgiveness has come up, coupled with how basically Alex repeated the same mistakes as is biological father? And how he CANT forgive his bio dad, but wanted Jean to forgive him? It’s also interesting how SEX NEGATIVE Alex’s story kind of is (sex one time and got girl pregnant, and it was dubiously consensual vs his mom got pregnant at a young age and was thus abandoned by her bf) compared to how SEX POSITIVE the rest of the show was? And how much it did for speaking about things that ARENT spoken about and should be. Also love that the trailer for next week gave us absolutely nothing lol. Someone better than me can probably articulate the dichotomy of the other stories vs Alex’s and I await that lol but in the meantime let’s be happy over everyone else’s storyline ending cute I guess LMFAOO
