Because I just can’t seem to stop.

Story is about 50000 words in and I have covered like only a few days of this back and forth stuff.

May I just say I keep getting blown away by all of the amazing J/C writers that are out there. Do you guys know how rare it is to find so many good writers in one place? For one fandom?! FOR ONE SHIP?!

Nearly every single fic I click on that’s got a Janeway/Chakotay tag is brilliantly written.

I just can’t.

So much talent concentrated in one place.

Just take a moment and think about how amazing and rare that is.

You might be very right but I’m just reluctant to surrender to the common sense of it. Considering that I don’t think they’re going to split S2 in half the way they did S1 and therefore give us new episodes after New Years, we could be waiting nearly an entire year before S2 begins and gives us the JC conclusion we’ve all been waiting for. 😭 Given that voice work on S2 wrapped this summer, that’s a crazy lag time and I personally will die waiting. Hence my reluctance to face facts. 🤣

I’m thinking more and more that the “about Chakotay” episode Kate mentioned is season 2 episode cause I just don’t see how that would fit in the finale. Initially I thought she meant this episode and this moment, but it’s too short for what she described. Heck, her description is longer than the scene itself in Mindwalk so it’s gotta be a different episode. 

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s what she said: There’s an episode about Chakotay that’s very good. It’s full of every conceivable true emotion Janeway could ever have. A deep dive into her guilt and her regret and her courage.

So I finally got "Distant Shores" from the library to read Kirsten Beyer's "Isabo's Shirt," and apparently some truly dedicated and amazing person had GLUED into the book this print-out of two galaxies, connected by a bridge of stars! I salute you, anonymous JC shipper!
