they went to the same school once. best friends, both of them had a crush on each other, but that wouldn’t matter since they’ve already forgotten. they only got to hang out for like 3 years anyways before chef had to move. them crushing on each other led to them being ridiculed and hit with homophobia.

jb and chef are 198 cm (6’6”) and 170 cm (5’7”) respectively (jb isn’t standing upright in the drawing)

jb got his nose broke after being beat up for being the stereotypical nerd and being “ugly” (especially having been targeted for his skin condition more than once,) along with the typical ableism and transphobia from other people. his nose is still crooked, even under his clown nose in his current form. he was sensitive towards all of the insults being thrown at him however he’s already grown used to it.

chef is wearing a little bracelet jb made for him with jb’s favorite colors on it. he’s had it for a while since moving away, although by now it’s long gone. chef was often bullied for his weight and not being from there (his parents moved there but moved back home, both times being for business reasons.) he would not forget all of this cruelty, letting it contribute to his aggression. he also had a bit of a temper back then and would fight back, for himself and jb. his response to criticism and slightly childish mannerisms come from his parents treating him far too much. he also doesn’t want any children to be in distress like he was, which is why he’s caring towards them.

anyways yeah. they’re both outcasts

and i also now am really fascinated by the idea of portraying judgement boy as having a skin condition

also even though they met when they were both 15 doesn’t mean they went to gregory house at the exact same age (i would believe age freezes there and the age you get trapped there forever is the age you’re stuck with?) although the gap obviously wouldn’t be too big because otherwise i wouldn’t ship that

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I'm gonna cheat and split this with two of my L&O fics, Ripples and Heartless. Ripples is Claire's last thoughts before her death, and Heartless is Jack being haunted by Claire while caught up in the death of a different woman. Angst city (also low-key why I love this ship, the endings are so up in the air).

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I might go with Saving Jaime Lannister for this one; lots of rough stuff happens, but that is one well earned sweet ending.

Rarely, but yes. I'm not that good at it, and I prefer intimacy rather than just full on sex scenes.

A couple years ago I started a "While You Were Sleeping" AU where Brienne is pretending to be Tywin's fiancee so he can win back his family (and he's paying her so she can keep her apartment). Made some good progress on it, but the idea just got away from me.

What are your writing strengths?

Pacing - I write how I like to read, so I can keep the momentum going

For better or worse, I can write short well.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm good at pacing, but I have noticed I can be quite rushed in places where some more beats would be better.

I love flashbacks and dream sequences more then is healthy.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

Since I only speak English, I probably wouldn't do it. But, if the character is bilingual, I don't mind reading it, even if I don't understand it.

SHIP WARS IN BRIDGERTON ARE THE STUPIDEST FUCKING THING I HAVE EVER WITNESS IN A FANDOM PERIOD!

I will admit that as a Kanthony fan, I am extremely jealous of the Polin promotion world tour that they were able to go on but I also understand that SA & JB couldn’t do the same during their year due to there was still travel bans. However, there is a factor of favoritism that is happening a bit because I pray for at least one interview of JB & SA together and I will probably never get it. But I will not discredit Polin’s hardwork and appeal but if I am being honest, I love the season and it is sitting at no. 2 behind season 2. But I will not start a ship war over it.

I will also admit, I do get sick of seeing the “Polin is top tier ship over everyone else” because of the promotion, it believe the numbers are high due in part of Polin and the fact the show has been gone for over 2 years, that is more than enough time to gain more fans. I became a fan last April.

That being said, the world tour was amazing and I enjoyed every second of it and hope season 4 leads *COUGH* LUKE THOMPSON * COUGH* will have the same promotion tour.

Megatron feels "familiar" to them. He's got "good vibes." Megatron is just bluscreening at something so small and fragile, trusting him entirely.

I think caretaking would actually be good for Rodimus, given how he improves when pushed and for caring about others. He would be thrilled by the kids' first colors.

Co-Captain Co-Parent Bonding.

I feel like Cygate would be the ones bonding with Jawbreaker, and I see Whirl having a soft spot for all of them, but maybe being the one taking Twitch flying. The relationship helps ease tension between him and Megatron.

Rewind and Swerve would be Hashtag's favorite people. I can see her getting dragged into (very willingly) investigations with Nightbeat.

Nightshade would have so much fun with the Science Crew (Simpatico + Nautica). They have like half a dozen science dad/moms by the time this is done. Because then we get adventurers Anode and Lug and Wheeljack calling and seeing a whole baby behind Perceptor.

Thunderclash is there, and I see them being delighted by each other.

Ravage has grandchildren know and is going to make sure they are raised right.

Minimus, meanwhile, is one of the two people on the ship who has a sibling and is actually able to navigate this unique relationship with them, making him a pretty big important person for them for advice and dealing with any tensions.

Rung is never forgotten by the kids who see him.

Exactly and everyone's just got "???????" vibes going on because this is Megatron these newbuilds are cuddling up to. I'm imagining the hilarious image of one or so of the kids sleeping on Megs and he dares not to move lest he wake them up (probably a very young Twitch), and that works both for here and for regular earthspark

Can I genuinely ask why you do bother with arguing with people that simply don't ship the same things you do? You're not going to talk them into seeing things your way. They read the same books you did, and in this latest case, something left them uncomfortable. Whether they're "right" or "wrong", they're allowed to exist on the internet not shipping JB and even thinking the Lannisters are creeps. Like. What skin is it off your ass if they don't like JB?

Hello, and thank you for the ask. I presume you’re here from the Jonsa fandom asking because of my little dust-up with someone in your neck of the woods. I generally don’t care what people ship, what they think of my favorite characters, or what they think of my ship. Ship and let ship is generally my motto.

What I care about is reading comprehension, and in this case, the complete lack of it. I get that ten different people can read ASOIAF and get ten different things out of it; however, when you deliberately go cherry picking words looking for a connection to prove a point that isn’t there, I’m going to call your ass out on it. I didn’t say anything about what that original commenter’s chosen highlighted word was—the word being “child”—but I will now, because they wanted to make it look like both Jaime and Tyrion were pedophiles. While she is younger than Jaime by more than a decade, Brienne is an ADULT. In the Westeros world, in today’s world, she is an adult. Jaime calling her “an absurd, ugly child” doesn’t mean he’s attracted to a literal child. He’s acknowledging that she’s younger than him, nothing more. But that’s not the context that the original poster meant in comparing it to a scene in which Sansa, an ACTUAL child, is naked before her adult husband and is clearly uncomfortable by it (and terrified). That was part of my issue, and perhaps that’s what I should have addressed more than whether Brienne was uncomfortable in front of Jaime when they were naked together.

The other part of my issue is the one that I addressed—that they said Sansa’s situation was better understood because she had a POV to address her discomfort being naked in front of Tyrion, while Brienne’s was ignored, allowing fandom to romanticize the scene. I merely pointed out—bringing in that pesky reading comprehension thing that seems to elude so many—that Brienne does have a POV, and she’s quite clear about how she viewed it. If she’d been uncomfortable, her POV would’ve reflected it. What did we get? The opposite. She remembered it in quite romantic terms, and not because, as the response I got tried to claim, it was her way of dealing with some traumatic event. Nothing traumatic happened to her in the bathhouse. Was she shy about being naked in front of Jaime? Sure, but when those guards (and Qyburn) came back in after Jaime fainted, she didn’t go reaching for the towel right away, so she got over the shyness.

Hi! I have absolutely no clue what their plot is, I don’t work in the writer’s room (the show would be a lot better if I did but that’s neither here nor there).

What I can say is that:

1) Promotional outings for a multicast show like Bridgerton means that, since they’re not the leads of this season, JB and SA are not obligated to do a lot of promo! Just because they weren’t a part of the panel doesn’t mean they don’t show up in S3

2) It’s incredibly likely they won’t be in a lot of S3. I won’t lie, I don’t really know why everyone is so disappointed—this was to be expected! They did their season and now they’re moving on! At best, I was only ever expecting them to have an appearance in S3 that was ever so slightly larger than Daphne’s in S2. It’s not their show anymore and they’ve passed on the torch.

3) they’ve got nothing but nice things to say about the show so I’m sure we’ll get peaks of them in the future, maybe cameos in S4 and onwards if their schedules allow. I really wouldn’t get your hopes up for more than that!

I have no clue if they’re having a baby or not in this season. They might even have one onscreen. Look, I know S2 was massively disappointing and it can be such a bummer to get to see your favorite ship onscreen, but we can’t change that. The actors are busy and booked (yay!) and they’re doing their own thing and growing and pursuing projects that are new and exciting. It’s a bummer to not see them and get content, but they’ve moved on.

I’d adjust expectations to have a fun S3 viewing experience tbh! Don’t expect much and it’ll be fine 🩷

I can see some kind of brains and brawns dynamic between them like frankie does much of the talking while hurricane does more of the heavy physical jobs (I noticed he's also sliiiightly softer). they are forces to be reckoned with like DAMN THEY DIDN'T HESITATE TO POUR LAVA AND PUSH LOADED TRUCKS AND FLATBEDS TOWARDS THOMAS AND JAMES!!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM THINK TWICE ABOUT WHETHER WHAT THEY'RE DOING IS RIGHT OR WRONG. THEY JUST FULLY BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES AND HAVE NO REGARD FOR OTHERS' LIVES. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY DETERMINED TO A TERRIFYING DEGREE AND I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!!

also the part where frankie panicked when hurricane's wheels got melted and immediately stopped what she was doing and finally showed some vulnerability .... she doesn't pursue thomas' makeshift troupe anymore and just right out explained why she and hurricane were doing all those heinous shit. I bet hurricane went along with frankie's plan because he knew how exhausted she was working at the steelworks but in that scene frankie showed her worry for hurricane. they are major haters towards everyone but damn in my eyes they really do love each other

Come Home, Jaime/Brienne This remains the only JB fic out of over 40 that I am really proud of. It's my love letter to the things I loved about the show versions of the characters before it all went to shit. Unsurprisingly, it ignores the existence of season 8.

On The Nature of Daylight, Roman/Gerri, Gerri/Laurie An alternate season 3 where Roman and Gerri have been in a thing since the yacht, and Gerri must balance her relationship with Roman with her backchannel with Laurie. I had so much fun with this one trying to work out how it might have gone. Better, probably?

Death By A Thousand Cuts, Roman/Gerri The exchange prompt that was so good it almost murdered me - a soulmate/soul marks AU - but they hurt each other on purpose. How could I ever have resisted??

Mulder and Scully probably did it first and continue to do it better. We have them to thank for the term shipping and online spaces where we can scream about and over our faves. They've given me permanent brain damage. 🥰

FemShep x Garrus Vakarian - Mass Effect. The ultimate battle couple. My favorite cross-species liaison, who aren't afraid to test the limits of reach and flexibility. Their transition from friends to friends with benefits to UH OH I CAUGHT SERIOUS FEELINGS is immaculate. Plus, we get some real dialog bangers. My personal fave: "You know me, I always like to savor the last shot before popping the heat sink." I LOSE IT EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Neo x Trinity - The Matrix. There isn't a sexier ship out there, and that's a fact. Imagine looking that hot all the time and being willing to die for one another without a second thought or ounce of hesitation, even if it means dooming the rest of humanity. Goals, tbh.

Jaime Lannister x Brienne of Tarth - Game of Thrones/ASOIAF. I would be physically/mentally/emotionally incapable of not shipping something that was Beauty and the Beast coded. ESPECIALLY if it's an inverse of the classic fairy tale. I try not to think how the show did them so dirty. And I have still not recovered from that, btw. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Gwendoline Christie deserved to play book!JB so, so badly. CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE??????? The show did give us some iconic moments with them but ultimately wasted all that potential. Still holding out on George and TWOW. I truly believe he's not going to let us down.

Let's talk about Justin Bieber i.e. the teenager who has physical assault allegations against him since 2010, who talked about joining the kkk & eliminate an entire race, who admitted to abusing his relationships and disrespecting women but in the same paragraph gaslighted everyone saying "he's changed" & victimized himself in the name of "god" multiple times, admitted to being an addict & cheating, also infamously called women 'female dogs', a 14yr old plus size female fan 'a beached whale',

Funny how everyone forgot that when he was accused of r*pe and sexual assault by multiple women - he hired Bill Cosby's lawyer, and filed the $20-million suit to prevent his alleged victims from ever coming out (...the temporary defamation suits - the legal cases which most of the guilty male celebrities use when they are accused of assault and r*pe), this man settled multiple abuse suits against him, made them sign multiple NDAs. Multiple reports and articles were removed by his manager & team in which they claimed several minor girls were found unconscious and drugged out at his parties and they were made to sign multiple NDAs.

His pr team is encouraging, editing and paying videos about victimizing him when he was never a victim, Bieber had physical assault against him by other teens before he was famous (he hung out with straight men and was famous from the beginning unlike the struggling female child actors who survived through hell).

JB was Diddy's favorite student. D treated him like his son (note: D's biological son is also accused of sa and abuse like Bieber). D praised him multiple times, they even released a song together few months back. But when D's allegation were viral him and his team twisted the narrative making Biebs the victim. It's false and baseless, but it's just one of the main narratives which the Bieber pr team banks on, they paid across all social media platforms to spread it like the pizzagate theory (which was used to market 'yummy') to garner sympathy and to remain in the limelight without any projects. So you can guess how much PR agencies and paid social media comments play a major role to shift a perpetrator into a victim and complete misinformation.

Remember when Taylor Swift exposed Scooter & his clients back in 2020 and Selena Gomez also said Justin Bieber abused her. And how conveniently people forget Bieber praised Chris Brown "no one could touch you" during the time when Brown was accused of r*pe and sa, he also associates himself with Marilyn Manson, R.Kelly, among many other 'alleged' rap*sts... The list of atrocities he gets away with goes on and on...

Many sources (credible blinds, friends and people who go to church with the couple) said that his wife is 'allegedly' aware of his history and problematic behavior, But she doesn't give a damn about it, since she cares more about their public image and 'happy pap shoots' than the victims, anything else. I was obsessed with the New Adventures of Mary Kate and Ashley book series, and the Full House Michelle ones, the Dear America books,LOTR, the Alice book series by PRN, the Isabelle books by C.c.G, The Fudge series by JB, oh and I recall liking a book called the The Moorchild, and Double Act. even if I don't quite remember them all that much I'd love to reread them as an adult and rediscover what I loved about them. People are apparently doing this as an ask game, but I want to answer all of them so I'm gonna. 😄 But I'll save your dash and put it under a cut.

How many words have you written this year? I'm not sure honestly. Mostly because I worked a lot on two different WIPs, and wrote a LOT of words that either got deleted or are in unfinished stories that will never see the light of day. But doing a quick estimate based on what chapters I posted this year, POSTED amount of words is roughly 130,000.

How many works did you publish this year? I finished one WIP, worked on another, and posted 6 other shorter fics.

What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? Gosh, I don't know. Tweets and Treats took a surprising amount of work, and I was really happy with how it turned out. And I'm really grateful I managed to land 2 Hot 2 Horny (with Brynn's invaluable help!).

What work of yours has the most hits? This year? 2 Hot 2 Horny, which makes sense. For fics only posted this year, All I Have To Offer You (Is Me).

What work of yours got more feedback than you expected? The beauty of this mess (is that it brings me close to you). This was my first (and probably only) foray into HOTD fic fandom, and it was for Alicent/Rhaenyra which is not a super popular ship as far as I can tell (though I don't know why!!! HAVE YOU SEEN THEM INTERACT??). Anyway. People were very nice about it.

Favorite title you used: Even though it went way beyond what I first envisioned it as, I still think 2 Hot 2 Horny is funny. For fics posted this year only, probably All I Have To Offer You (Is Me), because its from a song forbiddenfantasies likes and is very appropriate for the story.

Pairing you wrote the most for this year? Jaime/Brienne, naturally.

Favorite pairing you wrote for this year? JB are always my favorite, but I also really enjoyed writing my two Ian/Poppy fics.

What work was the quickest to write? speak now (or forever hold your peace). I was possessed when I wrote that. It took a day. That's the fastest I've written something since 2020.

What work took you the longest to write? Considering I am still working on Our souls lie down in the grass, I'm gonna go with that one, heh.

How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year? Whew. Too many. Our souls is the only one I'm currently posting, but fics I've started that I really want to finish? 6 or 7 at least.

What’s your longest work of the year? 2 Hot 2 Horny was 115k; for fics posted just this year, All I Have to Offer You is 27.5k.

What’s your shortest work of the year? Technically Tweets and Treats is only 8 words but there's a lot more than that in the images. :D Looks like Snack Drawer is it at 2615 words.

What WIP are you taking into next year with you? Our souls lie down in the grass. I've got a whole chapter written! I'm halfway through the next chapter! I'm gonna write at least one more and then start posting again.

What’s your most common “Additional Tags” tag? Across ALL my works it's Alternate Universe - Modern Setting. Which fits.

Your favorite character to write this year? I really enjoyed writing Ygritte in 2h2h, and Jaime in Tweets and Treats, and Poppy in both MQ fics.

The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year? Genna in All I Have To Offer You. I wanted to make sure she was riding a very fine line between cruelty and kindness.

What’s one pairing you want to explore next year? I want to keep writing JB, and I'd really like to write another Poppy/Ian fic.

Which work of yours have you reread the most? From this year? Probably Tweets and Treats.

How many kudos in total did you get this year? Statistics say 3,627, but again that includes 2h2h and Our souls (and also A Job Lot of Junk since I posted a couple fics to that collection) which throws it all off. If I just do the ones posted this year, 1648.

Which work has the most comments? Again, 2h2h but if I take that one out, Tweets and Treats.

Did you do any collaborative works this year? Sadly I did not. Though I talked to Brynn about 2h2h enough that she sort of helped me write it metaphorically.

Did you write any gifts this year? Yes! All I Have to Offer You was a birthday gift for forbiddenfantasies. 2h2h was from the summer exchange in 2021 for Naomignomie, and Our souls was from the festive exchange in 2020 for auntiesocial.

Did you receive any gifts this year? Yes. Pretty-thief wrote a Poppy/Ian fic for me and slips, someone made a cover for HFOG, and trelkez made a Poppy/Ian vid and dedicated it to me.

What do you listen to while writing? Whatever Spotify playlist I have put together for the fic, or the Study LoFi playlist.

Favorite work you wrote this year? Ooh...I honestly don't know. I really can't pick a favorite. They're my children!!

Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? I have a couple, heh. I loved "I shouldn't kiss you in the winter when I'm leaving in the spring," from Our souls. And this bit from Poppy in Snack Drawer honestly makes me laugh every time: She pulled out one of his organic, non-GMO, soy yogurt cups. “You eat like an old man. Plain isn't a flavor, Ian. It's a cry for help." But for how difficult I found writing this year, I'm actually pretty happy with what I produced.

Biggest surprise while writing this year? How damned difficult it was? Heh. I'd been struggling in late 2021, too, but this year was (for me) a struggle. Every word feels like I had to carve it out of my skull slowly and meticulously, when for the first two years of JB fandom it flowed so quickly. Adjusting to my new normal has taken me all year, but I think I've found a slightly better rhythm and I've been able to write more regularly. (It helps that work has also slowed down in the last two weeks; work has eaten up a tremendous amount of my life this year in a way it had not the two years before.) I'm also surprised that I wrote a House of the Dragon fic! Did NOT see that coming. I wasn't even gonna watch the show at the beginning of the year.
