Ice, by twistedchick--So this is my recs list, and if I want to rec a Sports Night crossover about a romance between Dan Rydell and Mark Smithbauer, then I will! Fraser does turn up in one section to be very charming, but I am genuinely here for the Dan/Mark.

don’t you wanna hear my body talk, don’t you wanna feel that noise by roefizzlebeef - rated E. contains sex. this is a recent find but it slaps, i love zero as a character and i am ALSO a very big fan of roegydaen WoL roe fizzlebeef and her viera wife thyme meadows. so the three of them together is also chef’s kiss. i love lesbians. and also seeing how zero is starting to interact with the world around her is very cute

it takes two to tango, it takes two to swing by shoutz - rated E. contains sex. and accidental voyeurism. this is definitely my “this isn’t what it looks like” fic when i’m recommending it to people. aymeric walks in on estinien and the WoL getting busy and is invited to join. but it’s written in an actual good way and is. good smut. its the good shit okay im sorry

Absolutely slaps, i often go back and re-read this one because it’s short and sweet and perfectly captures how I imagine aymeric and estinien would be in the present day. read if you enjoy AUs and a vague amount of catholic guilt

here at the end of all things by mc_dude - rated E. contains sex, v smutty. Aymeric and Estinien find solace with each other as the Calamity looms. Tragically sad but very well written, if you like purple prose (in a good way) then this is a banger of a fic

[he bites god in the wrist] by swallows (toska) - rated M. contains implied sex. this is the fic that made me fall in love with this pairing and i re-read it on the regular. it’s so tragically heartbreaking (as is canon) and very short, but i love it. ysayle is perfect and witty and snarky. i miss my wife tails

melt by saltedearthsch - rated M. contains implied sex. a nice short and sweet fic imagining if ysayle wasn’t dead (my favourite genre of ysayle fics). includes another of my favourite tropes “we hooked up when we were drunk and we are pretending, still, after many hookups that we didn’t catch feelings but there are in fact feelings”

Thancred/Urianger

Erasing All the Lines in the Sand by jaywright - rated E. contains sexual content. three chapters of Mutual Pining between two sad men in their thirties. the pining is really incredibly strong here i felt it proper tug at my heartstrings. story actually has a conclusion and is very nice and satisfying to read (many ffxiv fics i come across are sadly unfinished)

lazy mornings by treztine - rated E. contains sex. a classic example of “one partner tries to get up for Important Thing and the other, sleepy partner has other ideas” which u can’t really go wrong with tbh. i love the way this author writes lyse and y’shtola

some good omens recs

Because there is Really Quite A Lot of Good Omens fic being written about now, I've decided to make recs posts for my favorites.  This is what I've got after just a week or so in the fandom!  I love the characterization and writing in each of these fics, and also the porn, humor, conflict, philosophy, description, nerdery, etc.: whichever ones of those things are relevant.

Oh, and these are all Aziraphale/Crowley, though some may straddle the border between shippy and gen.  18 fics, and one vid.

*After the (Literal) End of the World*

Quite a few post-canon fics that I've loved deal with Crowley and/or Aziraphale having some sort of crisis along the lines of 'after all that's done, what do I do next'?  Others are more simply an exploration of 'now that we can be together', or... another story, later in their lives.

Runs a Joy with Silken Twine by Banhus (6k, t).  In which Aziraphale doesn't know what he wants, even after the world ends.  (But it's always been the same thing, really.)

Catching Up (<1k, g), for beautiful you are (<1k, t), and Just Because by edenbound (<1k, t).  In which the questions of Crowley's gender and angel/demon sexuality are explored with gentle tenderness, and understandings are come to.

*Making Stuff Up Between The Lines*

You know you've got an expansive field to play in when gap-fillers can be set anytime not only during the week or eleven years of canon, but during over six thousand years of history.

Crowned by DictionaryWrites (<1k, g).  In which Nanny Crowley isn't a bad nanny, at all.

Good Choices by olivianeesan (3k, g).  In which tying the narrative of six thousand years into one arc results in something that's more meta than fic, but just as thoughtful and lovely.

Ink Stains by forthegreatergood (6k, m).  In which the discomfort that Aziraphale feels in a cold monastery's scriptorium only serves to highlight just how comfortable he and Crowley are: as old adversaries, old friends, and more.

*Making An Effort, with Creativity*
