First pic was reffed from My Own Private Idaho, which ended up being a really bad idea because this focal length was ridiculous to try and flatten out and match with the others lol

Second pic was obvi The Pieta by Michelangelo, but shoutout to my partner for suggesting the role reversal cause I was initially gonna draw Viktor in Jayce's arms again, but having it the other way around gave me the idea for the last piece where they're mutually in each other's arms and on equal ground in the composition

Third pic was reffed from The Blossoming Of Love by Miquel Blay! Had to move Jayce's hand to Viktor's shoulder because he was too yolked for his arm to fit between them lmao

I’m going feral over how Mel and Viktor’s parallels with eachother are rooted in magic. Both saw magic as their salvation and their prayers.

Mel is born with magic whereas Viktor sought it artificially. Mel is from privilege and born in wealth. She could see the sky as easily it was to breathe. She grew up in a culture that emphasized on physical strength. Viktor was born in poverty and Zaun’s inability to breathe set his life with a countdown. Zaun also valued adaptability and intellect instead. Mel and Viktor casted aside the mentalities set upon them by their mentors to fight for their own.

Both desired and dreamed to create their own paths with their own ambitions. Both saw and used Jayce as their way to do so.

I need everyone here to know that last week, in the Brazilian Comic Con (CCXP), Riot hired various cosplayers to pose with fans in the Arcane stand. The thing is that Viktor's and Jayce's actively support Jayvik and now there's CONTENT:

Lame ass translation: first pic says "nah we're just friends" and second is "beautiful friendship" (both have an ironic tone btw)

They added "The Line" as the soundtrack to SO many jayvik stories seriously this is the best thing ever. Thanks to @shoyu_cos and @leonmarttins on insta!

Jayce's cosplayer also posted THIS and the official Brazilian VA for Jayce also reposted it on twitter with the caption "Jayvik right in front of my salad!"

Little reasons to ship MelJayVik: their art styles

Mel:

Stunning painter, the layers in her work are remarkable, background artist, seems to paint from memories (could get subtly sentimental?)

Jayce:

Doodler, yet puts a lot of attention into details, characters/portrait artist, 100% a bleeding heart when he draws — there was no need to include Viktor’s hair in that diagram but he did anyway and we love him for it

Viktor:

Man set a dog on fire on accident and damaged a perfectly good wall while drawing a caricature of his boss, do Not let him draw

Of the Arcane D&D group, does any of them enjoy making and painting figurines of their characters or the environment? Like I could see Ekko and Jinx having fun with the painting, but would Jayce ever make fancy sets for Viktor’s campaign?

Ekko and Jinx definitely make the most art out of the group, I think Ekko would make and paint figures and Jinx would doodle character art and comics of stuff that happens in sessions.

I think that maybe Jayce helps a bit with making figures - he usually puts together the big boss ones for Viktor since he gets special spoiler knowledge.

Viktor puts a lot of effort into curing playlists, ambients and backgrounds for immersion purposes. I think he also might draw his own characters for the party to reference.
