Just published my first Zosan fic, an 8k angst with a happy ending oneshot I've been working on!!

Hi hi! Meet Dr. Hatchgate!

This was a Ninjago OC that I revamped and am gonna do some non-Ninjago stuff with! Doczen has poisoned my mind for evil scientists <3

Anyway so, I’m willing to rant about his story after while, if anyone’s curious! But I’ll give the basic rundown:

He was left abandoned in a crumbling facility (like in Portal 2 pfsssh), because he was testing a device (the belt) that allowed him to control the whole facility and whatnot, but it’s attached to the ceiling of the building, and he wasn’t able to get out of it in time.

He survived everything, and then spends like 10 or so years rebuilding the place after it was thoroughly abandoned and the company that ran it was defunct. He builds himself three evil robot kids, and meets an evil geologist (from a similar “I was abandoned and left alone for too long” backstory) who becomes his villainous husband.

That’s all i have for now but I’m willing to delve more into him and his family!

P.s. the toys really do need a good place and mother figure since they really never got to experience being kids(I think it got confirmed somewhere idk, where I think of the discord not too sure, that they are in fact still kids)

traintober day four: great race!

introducing another one of my OC laddies on a traintober posttt~~ this is Jaybird, a BR Standard 4 Tank menace. this is just before they have a lil silly race but they have known each other for a while at this point. they have a dynamic that i have Thoughts about that i will stick under the cut!

jay and tommo are relatively similar in character, cocky little shitheads. jaybird is a tad more go-with-the-flow and tends to be a little meaner rather than cheeky at points, but he doesn't always mean it. he's been told off for it a few times by the other NYMR engines, especially Magpie (the black 5 that isn't eric), who he looks up ta soooo much. he wasn't named so he picked his own name, a bird-name like hers is :3 bUT THAt was a tangent oops.

when jaybird first comes to sodor,, well, he's a new tank engine. we all know how thomas feels about new tank engines ehehe ( he has a BIG MASSIVE CRUSH that he DOES NOT UNDERSTAND ) it obvs doesn't go anywhere but i think it is funny so i am including it in my thoughts pfff. but they are both argumentative and they bicker and challenge each other because they're both silly silly lads. the thing is ?? jaybird is incredibly jealous of thomas. he's got the Best number, a branchline he runs, coaches that respect him (..sometimes), basically everything a tank engine could want. thomas wants more, though, he always has. and jay just CANNOT understand how an engine could want more than that.

at the NYMR, there are two standard 4 tanks. Jaybird, and his sister. who is only One Number Before Him (80135 to his 80136) who he is also jealous of. she was priavately owned for a bit, she has fancy paintwork (an express livery!!), she was gifted a name and didn't have to make one herself (she's called tilly :3), people are always More Excited if she is running than when he runs. so he is jelly of thomas's special little life. but to thomas, that is so stupid. he is on the same railway as his SISTER!! does he not know what other engines would give for that opportunity?? what he would to see a sibling again??? thomas would love that so muchhh. and jaybird doesn't seem to appreciate it!

ASKS FOR MY WEIRD TREE!!

break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?

Cen has lost everything before! Classic case of amnesia with patchy memories of 'I was happy once. I had a community once'. They woke up from something similar to petrification on the deck of a Spelljamming ship, with nothing but loss and emptiness in them and it made them hollow. They moved like a ghost through life for a while, slowly rebuilding themself with a new community. I think it would take losing that new community again to really break Cen. And the aftermath of that would be wrath and fury and trying to fix it, but I think if it became clear it was unfixable, it would probably kill them.

desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

The sweet answer to this is that more than anything Cen wants a community back. They know they can't ever have what they had, but they're determined to build something new. They're not secretive about this, but don't really overtly explain it. Cen gathers people who are important to them, and puts effort into watching over them and learning about them over time. The slightly scary answer is that Cen woke up with power. Cen keeps finding friends with power. They have an unshakable belief that the power exists for a reason; that one day they are going to be in a situation that requires something extraordinary. They are very open about wanting to build their skills, and are... very enthusiastic about the destructive abilities of their companions.

fear: What is your OC's greatest fear? What do they do when confronted with it? Are they open with their fear, or do they hide it away?

Cen's greatest fear is a blank space in their memory where something cataclysmic destroyed their previous life. Very deep down, they fear the reappearance of that force more than anything. If confronted with it... well until recently it would've been a no-hold-barred fight to the death. Cen is vengeful and can be cruel, and has strong emotions that drive quick-draw reactions. But the more they travel with current company, I think it might instill a critical hesitation of stand and fight vs. protect and flee. Cen hasn't told anyone about this. They might, if asked though.

secret: What's one secret your OC never wants anyone to know about them?

Y'know that's a good fucking question and I'm not sure I know the answer. I think, for now, the closest Cen comes to having a secret is maybe just being a bit shameful about how deeply anger lives in their blood. How easily they throw their wisdom to the wind in favor of indulging that anger.
