pitch is just having the worst time she absolutely hates stuff like this poor girl!!!

peggy (and a little bit of pitch!) in the sheds at the NYMR during the most recent steam gala. peggy is a part of an old person quilting club: obviously she does not partake in the quilting (or the cups of tea going around!) but she loves a good natter with all the people and they made her a quilt in her favourite colour for when she settles down at night :3

young witherslack, only a few weeks into his service life, maaay have picked the wrong Original Hall as his inspirational figure (pitch wasn't quite as angry at the world back then, but she definitely at least did NOT care for the new Modified Halls!)

traintober day twelve: teamwork!

sybilla, another little newbie of mine, comes to assist pitch, who has been removed from leading her (delayed!) train after her brake coach got a hot axlebox and needed a Lot Of Sorting, and instead has been put on banking duty with sybilla leading!! based on a real event at the north york moors railway gala this year.

traintober day three: trust!

pitchford hall (pitch) and maindy hall (maindy) have a final tearful conversation in barry scrapyard before maindy is taken away. she has always said that things will be fine, that pitch should trust her. but neither of them were expecting the future.

the final few ttte oc humanisations- i've done the didcot group, the north york group, and now it is time for theeee!! ,,other group. a peppercorn a1, a narrow gauge mining engine and three halls, one of whom no longer exists. kind of. :)

once again, i'll put some design notes under the cut!:

hail (A1 Peppercorn 60123 H.A. Ivatt):

his scarf was a gift from his favourite sibling, and is in their old livery colours. his main outfit colour scheme is based around BR express blue!

the scar on the side of his face is from the first crash that the engine had- just a few months after being put in service.

the second crash got him scrapped- which is why his outfit is slightly more old-fashioned than most of the others. rip hail :(

ellis (Ellington Colliery Mining Locomotive):

a narrow gauge mining engine, he isn't all that tall to reflect that he is narrow gauge!

his practical workwear is to show that he is a working engine- it would be more the sort of outfit that someone doing mine work would wear.

the cat is called Day and she is their best friend. she follows him around constantly and therefore got to be in the ref!!

pitch (GWR Hall No. 4953):

her livery is BR black, so i wanted her outfit to reflect this. the stitching on her jacket is the representation of the red lining!

she's a very practical sort, so her outfit and hairstyle are down to earth and practical.

despite the BR livery, her hat has the GWR logo. reminds her of the old days.

maindy (GWR Hall No. 4942):

her basic style is slighty more old fashioned, like hails. this is because, like hail, she was scrapped. well, kind of. scrapped, rebuilt. it's complicated!! is she dead? at least a bit! >:)

she enjoys looking fashionable and styles herself to be approachable- in her job she interacts with the public a lot And enjoys it, so it's good to be inviting!

she has about 150 different neckties- the yellow one is her favourite but she has almost every colour and many patterns!

witherslack (GWR Modified Hall No. 6990):

he has incredible fashion taste and always looks awesome, in control and coordinated- until you get to know him and then he is a silly billy <3 an incredibly fashionable silly billy.

his jacket is based on the BR green livery, same as maindy's outfit! he stole it from his bestie heidi and has never given it back (luckily, they are fine with this pfff).
