Well Done! + Pie or Die!

A long while back I made around 50 pixels art "blattlers" of various Blaseball characters. These vary in quality as I improved and also might need to be clicked on if you are using desktop to see them with unblurred pixels. Chorby Short: 0/10. chorby short, chorby spring, chorby can fall from anything

Scoobert Toast: 2/10. a giant satellite crashed somewhere in the core is no laughing matter and if you - wait is my genuine emotion cringe?

Sheri Friday: 3/10. creating a functioning parachute out of sugar and pastry is deeply impressive, but also being good at things? kinda cringe.

Jaxon Buckley: 4/10. hit their head and got a concussion, which is cringe but also concerning, would have been a bit higher but jaxon is too genuine to be cringe

Chibodee Alighieri: 7/10. landed in core WV and walked down. cringe due to lack of effort shown. next time fall from a great height like a real mech.

Tevin Melcon: 8/10. just sort of landed, but due to inbuilt cringe of angsty teen, automatically bumped up by several points.

Djuna Scoresburg: 19/10. landed with great aplomb and plenty of grace, but no one was around to see it which is inherently deeply cringe

Fall Guys Friday No Not That One - Conclusion

Time to see who we got folks, I’m expecting a shadows player or maybe someone cool like torus or-

Oh. OH.

Yes it’s that one, the rootin, tootin, shootin, kind cowboy of the pies, Jaxon Buckley. I guess that’s another to add to the “core mechanics potential batters” list, and we’ve got a cowboy motif going. If folks don’t know, Jaxon is incredibly scary.

They’ve also got a fair bit of weight to them due to being idoled so heavily. The good news is, they can’t be incinerated. the bad news is, that’s another subtractor in our batting lineup. And potentially a bad omen if we don’t get rid of it fast. Such is the way of the sim, though. You get some neat and interesting stories out of the strange interactions that happen. Let’s hope the reader had some foresight.

picture this. its a normal charity fundraiser stream. tgb are running an experimental sim game with two new teams, best of three. nothing is canon, everything's a dream, its fine dont worry about it.

theyre making the teams back-and-forth draft style. each team can pick two or three (?) players from the hall, but no released players.

(looking at the wiki now, the ghosts tried to get axel but couldn't. bc theyre released. they got out. because they were on the PODS and then JAYLEN--)

(...anyway.)

the other team, the tsushima ghosts (named after a video game bracket via the besties podcast happening on twitter at the time) are doing their thing, trying to grab the good players before danger zone can.

(the ghosts let the stream chat to pick four players for the team. i'm only mentioning this because york silk was one of them. because of course they were. we've been putting that guy in situations since season 2)

anyway. the danger zone were chilling too, at first, without a noticeable pattern. (people were speculating, of course, because it was the blaseball grand siesta.) like, jaxon buckley, yeah, theyre pretty good. burke gonzalez for a pitcher, sure. margarito nava, which. ohh, okay, three fire eaters. hell yeah, a team of all fire eaters kicks ass.

and then they get moody cookbook for their first hall pick. which. okay. sure.

it goes on, danger zone keeps picking up fire eaters. and its like. okay, so maybe they just wanted to have moody in there. bc they hate us.

(one notable exception to this is esme ramsey. not a fire eater, but they're haunted. okay? cool.)

then sebastian telephone gets picked.

earlier in this livestream, there was a preview for the blaseball musical that was set to come out in like. a couple of weeks i think? i forget if the title was revealed or not, but we at least knew that it was about sebastian telephone in some way. probably? yeah.

so everyone was *already* thinking about seb. about the fact that they died twice. and is still unstable. just like moody cookbook.

so there's them, then esme, and the rest are fire eaters. okay!!

to figure out which weather each game would be, each team picked two that they wanted, and the list of four was randomized. danger zone picked eclipse twice. the ghosts pick eclipse and black hole.

both games end up being eclipses. what could go wrong?

and in the first game, nothing, no eclipse triggers. IN FACT, SO MUCH NOTHING HAD HAPPENED THAT JOEL TURNED UP WEATHER EVENT PROBABILITY IN BETWEEN GAMES.

as you may guess, in game two, those weather events sure did trigger.

for one, nagomi mcdaniel went up to bat while magmatic, and FLINCHED OUT of her automatic home run. which was the first time that ever happened. and was so so deliciously mean.

also. sebastian gets incinerated. again. because they were unstable in an eclipse game, this was always going to happen, theyve been dead since the beginning, etc.

(they get replaced by a hall player, because of squiddish. something that HAPPENED ON DAY X--)

and PUDGE NAKAMOTO. an audience pick, who got instability chained from moody's incin. lol lmao

moody and pudge get replaced by new players, like a regular game. these new guys are like. imagine coming into existence to replace fan favorite players who had died again, except not really, because it isnt real, and youre on a team that doesnt exist and will stop existing in about fifteen minutes. cool and normal

esme gets hit with unstable, which is fine. execpt they're *haunted* so everyone was like. haha okay cool!! so what happens if esme gets incined while she's haunted??? does the ghost die again?? or does esme die? hello?? where am i???

(esme also got her instability from seb dying, which. something something day x whatever its the wrong one but. wanted to mention it).

(ALSO: btw. jessica telephone is on the ghosts. which is fantastic luck for her)

i vividly remember something happening with esme' being haunted, but since its not on the wiki, im assuming i just made it up? but. it couldve happened!

bonus round of things that make me lose it:

york silk, wyatt pothos, and jessica telephone: ex-pods, playing against esme and with nagomi, and seeing seb get incined for a second time. super cool

anyway, the game ends, danger zone wins, in part because of the brilliant idea of unstable fire eaters getting free home runs. the third game doesnt happen because of time.

everything is fine and cool and normal forever because it was alllll a dream. the end.

Something about Blaseball just makes me not really care about my lack of art skill. After making that doodle of Henry Marshallow, I decided to take a crack at others. Here's Beasley Day, Eduardo Woodman, Farrell Seagull, and Jaxon Buckley from the Philly Pies.

Buckley is intended to be a buckeye tree. Woodman and Seagull are fairly self explanitory, and as for Day, I misread their first name as "beagle" the first time and couldn't shake the thought, so they're a beagle lol Can't wait for the new season.
