Cyberweek Day 1 - Redraw

I decided to do a redraw of a redraw. One of my earliest pieces for Cyberchase, when I participated in Huevember. This is one of my favorite episodes, and this super brief moment made me lose my mind back then, lmao. It's still a sweet to me, so I leaned towards my own interpretation of the scene, haha.

Wanted to sketch out the outfits from an old piece of mine, got discouraged halfway through and decided to just doodle Teen Trio.

What is the moment that Jackie and Matt realize their feelings?

They realize in different moments, Matt is slower with his feelings just in general. Takes him a minute or two or a year to realize why he feels/acts a certain way.

I think for Jackie, it just happens one day out of the blue. He makes her laugh, they're hanging out, he's just... really pretty in the sunlight suddenly. She realizes how much she enjoys his company in the quieter moments. He's really nice, really sweet, actually. It was just a regular Tuesday she realized her feelings.

For Matt, it's probably after Jackie's been in danger. She almost dies, or worse. Everything's okay now, she's here and is barely scratched, but for some reason he's still crying. He really didn't want to lose her. It's not as if she's never been in danger before, but somehow this was different. He just really didn't want to live in a universe, this one or their own if it didn't have her in it.

New little hc, Jackie helps Matt with his hair sometimes and he helps her stay organized. Of course she's the queen of staying organized, but going from a fun little planner in elementary school to the hell of high school can overwhelm even the best. Sometimes it's just nice to sit down with a friend and get everything back in it's place.

Matt likes his hair long, it brings him comfort, but he has no idea how to take care of it. He just knows to wash it and not over comb it bc then the curls break and he looks weird.

I'm so sorry this took so long. Eventually, I decided to doodle something for this ask for Valentines, but then I lost my power for 12 hours. :') So I decided since I'm late anyway, I'd take a little extra time on them. Hope you like!

Anyway, this feels like a troll but the honest answer is that you and a blog with surprisingly similar opinions have soured the ship a bit for me. I'm sure once I meet someone that likes it and is actually cool, I'd be totally into it. I don't feel like getting more in depth than that ✌

15. any upcoming planned drawings I get nervous sharing my art plans buuut a certain birthday is coming up so hope you guys are ready to celebrate! :D I'll also be hosting Cyberweek next month and I'm hoping to make it very special!

16. favorite piece of art from someone else (if you have one) Literally my favorite piece of Cyberchase art is right on my desktop bc it was a gift from a friend who doesn't even go to the fandom and it's so cute and so special to me 🥺

Another favorite Cyberchase piece of art was DELETED and I don't feel right sharing it when it was so I'm forever crying and sobbing and lying on the ground. It was cute art of JaxMatt though.

Something I CAN show is THIS which I got a sticker of at Nekocon and it's my favorite ever.

All the poses I got to draw for the Trio as Splatoon characters were sm fun and dynamic due to the source, but I especially love Matt's!
