Tingly.
That’s the state of my body this morning, the state of my mind.
Not only am I riding an emotional high from our conversation this weekend, but my dream last night… Good lord, that dream.
I can feel the echoes of his fingers on my skin, the coolness of his lips, the wet trail they would’ve left behind… the solid weight of what surely his body would feel like, pressed against mine. I can imagine all of what it would be like vividly, to be under him, to get carried away, to just explore-
“You alright, darlin’?”
His voice jolts me from the day dreaming stare I had on the locker before me, caught red handed. To make matters worse, that deep southern tenor questioned me inches from my ear, causing a blush to heat my cheeks to an almost uncomfortable degree.
“Perfectly fine, why?” I immediately busy myself within my locker so that I don’t have to face him right away.
“You do remember that I can feel you, right?” His voice is low and his hands find my hips tenderly, but the air changes around us.
My heart rate skyrockets, this is dangerous. His fingers flex against me and the death grip I have on this book in my hands turns my knuckles white.
“Jasper-” his name is a whispered warning, but also a plea.
“I know.” Instantly a cooling, soothing balm blankets our tension and I release the tightness in my chest. Leaning backwards into him I just feel tired all of a sudden, like I had run a marathon. “Let’s get out of here.”
His request sounds more like a demand and I twist in his arms, “Is that a good idea?”
“Darlin’, I don’t have many of those these days.” His mouth quirks up in a lopsided grin as he shoves all of my school supplies back in my locker, shutting it and tugging me along behind him towards the student parking lot.
Jasper
Something is on her mind, something dangerous. Something I absolutely want to know, something I’m not sure I have the strength for, but I can’t help it - it’s her.
I’ve never been more thankful for an overcast day with no rain: perfect motorcycle weather. Come to think of it, my sister had a knowing look in her eyes as my siblings all piled into their respective vehicles as I straddled my bike this morning. A decision that currently led me to now: Y/n and I leaving school before midday.
Those thoughts I interrupted earlier have her quiet, but her emotions are raging and it is driving me insane. Curiosity, need, nervousness - a dangerous concoction begging to overtake my rational mind. Separating myself from her feelings is almost impossible at this point, she is so well ingrained in me.
Finally arriving at my thankfully empty home, I shut my motorcycle off and offer a steady hand to help her dismount. Swinging my own leg over, I turn towards her and lean against it, observing her for a moment with crossed arms.
“What?” She makes eye contact as she struggles with the chin strap of my helmet.
Grabbing the helmet by the chin piece, I gently tug her forward between my legs, “Tell me.” I lace the command with neediness to encourage her to be pliant.
And judging by the way her lips part behind the dark visor, the immediate dilation of her eyes, and the weight of her hands settling on my thighs gently, I might’ve laid it on a little too thick.
Chuckling, I free her from my helmet and riding jacket. By the time I finish, she seems to snap from the daze and her hands clench on top of my legs.
“Not fair, Hale.” Feisty this morning.
I lean forward towards her ear with a grin as I stand from my bike to put away the gear, “All’s fair in love and war, sweetheart.”
Reaching to swat my chest, I grab her hand gently before she could injure herself.
Pausing as I hang my jacket up, her teasing response sends excitement through me, “Two can play at that game, baby.”
Stepping into my room, I realize too late what has her curiosity: my desk. Well, the art that occupies every inch, my art.
“What is all this?” Leafing through pencil sketches of my favorite hunting spots and pen etchings of my family at random moments, she gets to the important ones hidden below. Her breathing hitches and I know she’s found them, the ones of her.
Some are in pencil, some are in random felt-tip pens, but my favorites? Those are charcoal. A decently basic medium, but I feel like it captures so much more than anything else ever could. Maybe it’s because I use my fingers to smudge and shape her perfect curves and lines, but it radiates emotion in sweeping gestures and subtle shading - something that’s hard to capture with anything else.
“There’s-” awe, shock, surprise, they all shuffle through her and I’m on edge, waiting to hear her thoughts. “There’s so many…”
I watch her carefully examine each one and I smile when she chuckles at a few - some of her at school, some of her here in my home, moments I not only committed to memory, but to paper.
“Now you know what I do with my free time.” I smile through the minuscule anxiety that bubbles up at her seeing my secret hobby. Everyone in my family knows I draw, but they haven’t seen my drawings.
“Jasper…” I can tell she’s getting emotional, but a part of me is excited for her to see my innermost thoughts on paper, to see herself through my eyes - the unaltered beauty she contains.
“You haven’t even seen the ones I cherish the most.” Opening a familiar sketchbook buried under many other drawings, I reveal my favorites. “The very first ones.”
Her breath hitches, running a reverent finger down the first page. It’s the very first moment I saw her, crouched, scooping up papers on her first day of high school in Forks - absolutely radiant.
“You were a vision that day. A beautiful tornado that wrecked my world, I tried to capture every detail from memory because I never want to forget-”
Her hand finding my cheek breaks me from my explanation and my eyes find her watery ones, mouth open, searching for words clearly hard to get out, “Jasper…”
“I love you.” My confession steals her breath completely this time, the first time I’ve uttered these words aloud and it feels absolutely right. “I’ve loved you since the moment you hit me with that door. I knew I was absolutely ruined for anyone else and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Tilting her chin up with the tip of my finger as it wobbles at my confession, I smile, “Say something, darlin’.”
“I love you, too.” Now it’s my turn to go wholly still. “I knew from the moment I saw you I’d never be the same, I was yours-”
I couldn’t wait another second, I closed the minuscule gap between our mouths to seal these confessions. I love her and she loves me. Me.
Tilting her head back slightly as I cradle her, I take my cue to deepen the kiss, to pull her closer carefully. Groaning into her mouth, fuck I can’t get enough of her. Trailing kisses down her jawline as she tips her head to the side for much needed air, her gasps drive me to lift her onto my desk.
“Jaz…” her breathy plea of my nickname freezes me, panic seizing my actions.
“I am a gentleman, but only just barely.” My voice is gravel in my own ears, breathed down the slender column of her throat.
A shiver from her causes me to clench my jaw and attempt to gather myself.
“Maybe I don’t want a gentleman right now.” Her whisper damns me, it fucking sets me on fire.
A slamming door downstairs straightens my spine and my hands abandon the exploration of her. Fuck, my family’s timing couldn’t be better, but also worse.
“Honey, we’re home!” Emmett’s booming voice echoes up the stairs and immediately I know he knows, he can probably smell it.
Huffing, I help her regain her footing and straighten her clothes from the rumpled mess my hands made of it. I also take half a thought to smooth her arousal, a damn shame-but a necessity if we’re to face my siblings for the rest of the evening.
“Fucking Emmett.” Her frustration draws a chuckle from me as we make our way downstairs.
“I heard that!” My brother’s response causes her to roll her eyes at me playfully and I shake my head, my heart weighing much fuller in my chest as she plucks its invisible strings with her shit-eating grin.

Ten things the Twilight animated series can do better than the original movies (if they care enough to, please add all your own points to this as I will, too.) :
1. Include ALL of the book scenes, without having to change them to make them easier to film (for obvious reasons, since it’ll be animated they shouldn’t have much issue there.)
2. Their daughter, Remoulade can actually look like the book described her (or better or worse) and not the CGI monstrosity we got twelve years ago.
3. Make all the characters fit their book looks to complete accuracy. Alice was 4’10 and the movies made her 5’5. They let Edward have brown hair when he’s a ginger. Jacob and the wolf pack had better be above 6’5! I want 23 year old Carlisle and 26 year old Esme playing parents to like three legal adults and two 17 year olds.
4. The parentification of Bella Swan, by both of her parents, mustn’t be ignored. Bella was making sure the bills were getting paid by the time she was 10 cause her mom was ‘too flighty and distracted’ to do things like that consistently, she also learned to cook and clean early on too because her mom’s cooking was inedible and she’d improperly mix cleaning solutions dangerously. She got a job at 14 and took care of the groceries and any other issue necessary on top of being in AP classes in school. By the time she moved in with Charlie, she was basically more of a parent than he was. He did the bare minimum to ensure her car’s safety by installing snow chains on her tires without telling her and she cried because she wasn’t used to being taken care of.
5. How she cries when she’s angry is peak girlhood and I hate that they got rid of that in the movies. She stomped her feet bro, like c’mon she was so angry and anxious and annoyed all the time and they only focused on her angst.
6. Integrate aspects of Midnight Sun too, maybe incorporate them both so we can get a more full story. Twilight on its own was a bit of a snooze fest compared to Midnight Sun. We’re gonna pretend that Edward hunting and eating Esme’s abusive ex-husband isn’t hot af?
7. Add in more character’s back stories. Alice’s abusive father and stepmother, Emmett’s gambling and womanizing as a human in Tennessee, etc.
8. Unfortunately we need to make it clear that Charlie’s not winning any father of the year awards here either. He congratulated Jacob after forcing a kiss on her and joked about Jacob pressing assault charges on her after she breaks her hand punching him away.
9. Maybe ask why the Cullens…’need’ so desperately to come back to Forks every couple of years? Like they’re multi-billionaires, they’re immortal and there are plenty of gloomy, cloudy places they could live in semi-permanently. Why Forks when they know the Quileutte tribe knows what they are and they know it makes them so uncomfortable? It just seems unnecessary.
10. More of Edward reading Mike Newton’s inner-monologue. I know it would depend on whose perspective we get but I think the idea is hilarious.

First Meeting
Jasper Hale X Reader
Series of Firsts
Summary: The first time you meet Jasper Hale is when you get lost in the woods. Is he your rescuer or the danger you should be looking out for, though?
Words: 1712
Note: New series wooh! Hope you guys enjoy!
---
Moving to Forks in the middle of summer had its pros and cons.
Pro: You have plenty of time to explore and get to know the area.
Pro: You can adjust to the new home before school starts.
Con: You haven’t been able to meet many people your age and therefore have no friends yet.
Con: You thought it would be nice to take a walk by the woods, but you swear you saw a hurt cat and you tried to help it but it ran away and you followed it and now you’re lost.
The last point may not have anything to do with it being summer, but still.
On the bright side, you did catch the little guy! Not without a few scratches, but you got him.
You perch yourself on a tree stump, a small tabby kitten nestled in your arms, completely tuckered out from running. Careful to not jostle him, you give him a good once over. It looks like he was maybe clipped by a car, or maybe a bike, dried blood running down one of his legs which looks significantly out of place.
Poor thing.
Sighing softly, you tuck him back into your lap and glance around. The trees all look the same, and you have no clue what direction you came from. There’s no way to tell what time it is either, since you left your phone at home and the sun is completely blocked out by the clouds. Not the best situation.
At least it’s still light out, you think to yourself. It could be a lot worse. For now, it’s light, you’re warm, and you told your mom you were going out before you did, so she should notice when you don’t come back in a few hours.
If you don’t make it back yourself, that is!
“I don’t suppose you know the way out?” You hum, scratching the small kitten’s head as he raises his head at the sound of your voice. He looks at you with dark amber eyes, barely open.
“Mew.”
“Hm, I thought so.” You shake your head with a fond smile. “That’s okay. Maybe if I just start walking, I’ll find someone.”
The kitten grumbles a little when you pop to your feet. Might as well go with your gut, right? That’s what people usually do in situations like this. So, you go to set off in the directions you think you came from. Hopefully.
Until you hear a loud snap come from behind you.
Every muscle in your body goes still. The ball of fur in your arms bristles, suddenly far more alert, letting out a quiet, squeaking hiss. It makes your chest tighten, a spark of fear and realization traveling through your bones.
Are there predators in these woods?
“You’ll hit the coast before you find a soul if you go that way.”
The sound of a low, rumbling voice immediately puts you at ease, the tension dripping from your shoulders. Thank the heavens you don’t have to wander even deeper into the woods. There’s no telling how much more lost you could get. You turn to thank your savior, eyes going wide when they land on him.
Pretty. That’s your first thought.
He’s very pretty. For a moment, you could even convince yourself you are just looking at a sculpture abandoned in the woods. He’s tall, very tall, gold hair falling to his sharp jaw, skin shockingly pale in the dim light. His eyes, dark and narrowed, glint with curiosity and maybe a hint of concern as he looks you over.
Heat flares across your cheeks. This feels straight out of some teen romance novel. A handsome stranger comes to the rescue of the damsel in distress. Except, while he is a handsome stranger, you are dressed in an oversized, pastel hoodie with cat scratches all over your face and hands. Not to mention the mangy kitten in your arms who looks like he wants to kill the man.
What a sight this must be for him.
You offer your rescuer a wide, somewhat awkward smile, “Thanks for telling me. I definitely have no clue where I am, if you can’t tell.”
The man tilts his head, brows furrowing, “How’d you end up all the way out here?”
“Well-” You shrug, shifting back and forth on your feet. “-it was just supposed to be a walk, but then I saw this little guy and he looked like he needed help.”
His eyes dart down to the small kitten in your arms, lips twitching in amusement. The fluff ball glares back at him without hesitation. You shuffle him in your arms a little, trying to get him to calm down, but he stubbornly clings to your sleeve so he can see the blond.
“I chased him out here,” you continue, settling for just clutching him against your chest, just in case he tries to be rude. “His leg looks pretty bad and I just couldn’t leave him, you know? I’m pretty sure he needs a vet, but I don’t know how to get back to town. Could you maybe um…”
You trail off. You shouldn’t hesitate to ask for help, you know it’s silly, but you don’t want to bother this guy. What if he was on his way somewhere? Maybe he could just point you in the right direction. But what if it gets dark before you get home? The thought of walking through the woods at night is not one you’d like to live through.
After a hard second of him looking at you, as if trying to figure out whether you’re a threat or not - which feels kind of backwards if you’re being honest - the man seems to soften. His posture loosens and a small, charming smile slants his lips.
Your heart stutters.
In a very old-school, gentlemanly way, he offers you his hand, “It’d be a privilege to escort you back, miss-?”
You stare at his extended hand, completely oblivious to his question until you glance up and see him watching you expectantly, lips pursed, dark eyes dancing with amusement.
Oh!
“(Y/n),” you blurt quickly, face going impossibly redder. “My name’s (Y/n) (L/n)! I just moved here.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, (Y/n).” The smile comes back, wider, brighter, and you want to melt. “Name’s Jasper Hale, I’ve lived here quite some time.”
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, too, Jasper Hale,” you chime, finally taking his hand (much to the kitten’s displeasure). “Especially now. I would've been wandering out here for a long time if you hadn’t showed up. Who knows what’s out here.”
Something flashes through Jasper’s eyes, but he merely smiles and agrees, “You can never be too careful.”
“I’ll keep that in mind next time,” you sigh, following him as he starts in the opposite direction you were going to go, “It’s my fault for thinking I didn’t need my phone. It’s just my luck to not have it the one time I need it.”
“Bad luck finds you at the worst times,” he hums wistfully.
“This is your fault,” you whisper down at the kitten, who has settled down a little bit, “You’re not even black, how are you so unlucky?”
He blinks up at you, looking unimpressed. You laugh, scratching his chest softly.
“I think he’s mocking me,” you murmur, “He probably doesn’t even need my help based on the fight he put up.”
“He just doesn’t know what’s good for him,” Jasper chuckles, something fond starting to grow in his chest.
He had been hunting when the scent of fresh blood had drawn him further into the woods. He didn’t even remember moving, hunting it down, nothing until he came to a dead stop there at the edge of the small clearing. That’s where he found you, watched as you slowly, patiently coaxed the angry kitten into your arms.
He doesn’t know what made him stop. What overcame the burning thirst in his throat. But when he laid eyes on you, listened to you talk to the kitten as if it would talk back, felt the gentle positivity coming off of you like pure warmth, it just disappeared.
Replaced with a burning curiosity and something fiercely protective.
Who was this girl he’d never seen before? Why was she all the way out in the woods, at least thirty minutes from the town? Alone? What if something happened to her?
The moment you started walking in the wrong direction, he couldn’t stop himself. Against his better judgment, of course. He couldn’t just let you wander off alone, though. The others will probably be angry with him once he gets back, but at least he can make sure you get home safely.
Which he does.
You stop at the edge of your yard, turning to him with the softest, most genuine smile, brimming with gratitude.
“Thank you, Jasper. Really. I hope this isn’t the last time we meet?” Your eyes glow with so much hope, and he can’t bring himself to deny it.
He should. He should stay far away from you, because something tells him that as much as this new feeling in his chest could be something good, it could also be something horribly dangerous. For you. He should stop it here and now, cut all ties.
But he saw how well that worked for Edward.
So he nods, dares to lift your hand to his lips and press a ghost of a kiss to your knuckles. Jasper can feel your life under his fingers, hear your pulse race, and he expects the thirst to come roaring back, to feel some kind of temptation, but the only thing he feels is your overflowing, bashful joy. And he loves it.
“Until next time, miss (L/n),” he murmurs, and you giggle, “Try not to run after any more injured animals, alright?”
“I’ll try,” you promise, feeling high as a kite.
“Good.” Jasper grins.
He watches you go inside, just to be safe, making eye contact one last time with the furry, little creature still in your arms, right before the door falls shut. It glares at him, tiny tail thrashing.
Unlucky, you said.
Maybe.
You’ll both have to wait and see.

I'm pretty excited about this new little series! It'll be super simple, just a series about different "firsts" you have with Jasper, ie first kiss, first date, etc. If you want anything specific, let me know!
Also, I know it might be a little unrealistic, but I don't care! That's not what this is about lol

Can we have a part 2 of it was our plan where its after the cullens come back but y/n is still kinda distant from jasper?
A/n: I hope this is what you expected!
It was our plan PT. 2
Fem! Reader X Jasper Hale
——————————————————————————————————
Pairing: Female human! Reader X Jasper Hale
Genre: Oneshot, angst to fluff
Warning: none that I’m aware of, use of Y/n
Summary: When the Cullens returned to Forks, Jasper Hale seeks you out so that he can apologise, but you avoid him at all costs.
Word count: 1.4k
Part One here
——————————————————————————————————
Hate. Resentment. Sadness. Three annoying feelings you felt in your bones, throughout your body.
You absolutely hated that the Cullens - despite agreeing with you with you former plan - had left Forks without warning. Okay, yes, Jasper did technically 'warn' you, but he left immediately after telling you and left no room for discussion about you going with him!
You had resentment for Jasper for leaving you on that day, he had loved you and loved that you had gone as far to plan how you would leave Forks. I mean, what kind of person would leave the person they loved immediately after telling said person they were leaving and then leave without a proper goodbye?
But, ultimately, you felt sadness every waking hour. You were heartbroken at the fact you’d never get to see Jasper again, never get to kiss him, never get to hug him, never get to hold his hand, never get to be beside him ever again. You were upset because there was literally no one like Jasper Whitlock Hale, there would be no man you would love as much as you loved Jasper.
You wouldn’t go as far as to believe you were depressed, in fact, you had given into the anger instead of the sadness. You tried everything you could to get rid of that sadness, and, so, that meant you felt pure anger for Jasper.
In months that the Cullens had been gone, you had focused on many different things, however boring it may have been. You had organised your room, studied a lot, finished many of the books you wanted to read, attempted arts and crafts, sports, and much more. You even tried to help Isabella Swan out of her depression about Edward leaving, though it proved more difficult the more you tried.
Your grades went up due to your endless studying, even in the subjects you struggled on most! Your parents were proud at that, though they still worried that you had not properly been upset at Jasper’s absence. You'd been sad in your own time, sometimes you would give yourself a few moments of sadness before you would quickly despise yourself for being upset that Jasper left.
You hated him.
You hated the man you loved most.
You despised Jasper Hale.
So, when the surprising news of none other than the Cullens returning to Forks arose, you did not hesitate to ignore the supposed amazing news.
While Bella quickly went back to loving Edward, and practically planning for her own transformation into a vampire, you stayed as far away from Jasper and his family as you could. You couldn't bare to see him, you couldn't bare for him to try and apologise. You didn't want to go back to him. You didn't. Defiantly not.
Nevertheless, all you wanted to do was fall back into his arms, hold him, kiss him, love him. You wanted Jasper back, you wanted to love him, you wanted to be around him, to feel the coldness of his hands when he held your hand throughout the halls of school and as he walked you to your front door.
You missed the vampire's stupid Southern drawl, the way certain words seemed to roll of his tongue and make your knees go weak. You missed his golden coloured eyes, followed by his dark coloured eyes depending on the day. You missed the way he would walk you to your classes, the way he would carry your books when you had too many, the way he would drop you off at home after your dates, the way he was always respectful to you and your boundaries.
On Jasper's side, he had been trying desperately to get your attention, to find you while you were by yourself.
Though, due to your stubbornness, Jasper was unable find you by yourself and, if he wanted to catch up with you with his speed, he was unable to because you were smart enough to stay with other people. Or was it stupid?
Either way, Jasper had beaten himself up senseless because he felt so incredibly bad about how he left things. All he wanted to do was make it up to you, he wanted to be with you again. He knew you wanted to as well, he could feel it. Though, he could also feel your anger, your frustration, towards him.
On one particular rainy day, you had your hood pulled up over your head and your coat zipped up all the way, hands shoved in your pockets to keep them safe from the freezing rain.
Thankfully, Jasper had seen you walk out of the school, you were walking home that day, Jasper remembered from your weekly routine and because - on these days - he would be the one to take you home. He was walking quickly towards you, silent but quick. He knew he couldn't use his speed to catch up with you, but he had been so desperate to do so.
"Y/n." He called out to you, causing your heart to drop at the sound of his beautiful sounding voice.
When you didn't reply, he said your name again, now only a few feet behind you. "Please, Y/n."
"Don't, Jasper." You sighed out, but, in reality, all you wanted to do was hug him. "I don't want to hear it."
The coldness in your voice shocked him, he'd never heard you speak so rudely to anyone, let alone him.
"Y/n." He repeated, his voice was pained, you could hear the sadness in his voice. No one needed his power to know the heartbreak he felt.
You turned around to face him, rather abruptly. You would have preferred to not even face him, you knew his saddened face would break your beak into a thousand little pieces, would make the heartbreak physically hurt you.
"Don't, Jasper." You said again, your voice was trembling, but the anger was clear. "Don't you dare, you left. You left me, here by myself."
He looked you in the eyes, he could see your glassy eyes and how you were fighting the tears.
"You don't get to be heard out, not when you left like that." You scowled at him, hands in fists and you almost wished he was human so you could actually hurt him - as terrible as it may sound. "I was here, while you were... Wherever the hell you were!"
You sniffled, you were trembling and you could feel the rain down your cheeks. Or was it tears? "It wasn't fair."
"I know, I know." He said softly, he took a step closer to you, his arms extended as he reached out to you. "I shouldn't of said goodbye like that, I am so incredibly sorry."
You shook your head as he walked near you, you took a step back and it took the hint. His arms hung loosely at his sides, he wasn't going to touch you if you didn't want him to.
"Please, Y/n. I was afraid." He said, the saddened tone that escape his mouth seemed so unnatural for someone like him. He'd never sounded like this, never sounded so broken. He spoke again, but his voice was quiet, he was still aware of the people around him, the handful of students who were watching the scene unfold. "You saw what I almost did to Bella, I never want that to end up happening to you. I would never be able to live with myself again if I was the reason you got hurt."
He wanted to attempt to reach out to you again, but he didn't want to risk of getting rejected again, he wasn't sure if he could handle watching you back away from him again.
"Darlin', I never want to be the reason that you get hurt, that you..." He trailed off this time, he didn't want to say what he thought.
"That I die?" You finished for him, anyhow, with a hushed voice and a broken voice much like his. "That's what you want to say, isn't it? You don't want to be the reason I die?"
You shook your head again, now certain that you had been crying, tears streaming down your face like a river alongside the rain droplets. "You don't trust yourself, Jasper, but I do. I always have, I always will."
"I am dangerous." He whispered out.
"No." You whispered out, you walked over to him with your arms extended. You grabbed his hands. "No, you are not."
You both locked eyes, his with his golden eyes and your glassy eyes. Your words had echoed in his mind, you believed that he was good, you believed that he wasn't the monster he saw himself as.
You quickly embraced the frozen vampire, and he wrapped his arms around you. Both of you had missed the other's touch, both of you were desperate for the other's touch, and both of you finally got the one thing you desperate missed: each other.
In this moment, in the moment you held each other in the pouring rain, outside of the school, you thought that maybe - just maybe - things will be okay.

Wildest Dreams Masterlist
————————————
Tucking her legs under her, Y/N stares out the window. It’s been unusually cold lately, the skies turning darker with each passing day. The clouds are getting lower, spreading among the trees surrounding her home. Whenever autumn comes knocking, Y/N welcomes the rainy days and moody weather with both arms. She didn’t detest the cold as she once did, because Paul would always hold her a little bit closer. He’d often kiss her until they both struggled to keep their hands to each other and she had to beg for mercy before they were both late for work. It’s not like he’d kiss her any less in the summer, it’s just that he’s aware his warmth in already warm days is harder for Y/N’s body to handle. It’s why he’d give her space from time to time. Y/N hated that. That’s why she’d turn down the AC to freezing cold temperatures all the time just so she could enjoy Paul’s cuddles more.
She misses his cuddles now.
It’s been five days since Paul went out of the Cullen’s house and shifted into a wolf. When he’d lose his temper, Paul would be back by nightfall and Y/N never needed to worry. This felt different. Jacob didn’t tell her much at first, trying to sugarcoat what they’d discovered, but she wasn’t letting up. She could never let up when Paul was involved.
“You need to hear it from him, not me,” Jacob sighs.
Pinching the bridge of her nose, Y/N frowns deeply. “I don’t know what’s happening, but I know I feel that his heart is shattered and I -”, she pauses as a sob threatens to escape her. “I never feel his emotions unless they’re at an extreme and his pain is suffocating me right now.”
“It’s a deeply personal thing I can’t imagine Paul would want you to talk to us about.”
Chuckling dryly, she points a finger at Jacob’s chest. “You have no idea what he or I would want. You weren’t here when we were building this relationship from the ground up! You weren’t here as we grew up and you sure as hell weren’t here when we learned each other’s hearts by heart! So don’t tell me what he would or wouldn’t want, because I know what he wants, and that is me! And if he is in this state because he believes he’s done something that will take me away from him, I need to know what the fuck it is so I can convince him it isn’t his fault and that–,“ belting over she lets a shuddered breath pass her lips. Clutching her chest, Y/N’s knees hit the ground with a loud sob echoing throughout the room. Jacob’s quick to wrap his arms around her, looking at Edward in distress.
“She’s overwhelmed”, Edward explains before glancing at Jasper, who seems devastated by the constant waves of pure anguish coming off of Y/N.
In the blink of an eye, Jasper is beside Y/N, his hand running up and down her back as she gasps for breath. All the pain and confusion coursing through her blood is nearly enough to make anyone insane. Even Jasper is barely holding it together as he takes some of her pain, replacing the tsunami of negative emotions with a sense of tranquility.
It doesn’t take long for Y/N’s breathing to return to normal, but her tears don’t dry. Jasper can manipulate her emotions, but he can’t trick her body into forgetting everything.
“Just tell me,” she pleads. “I need to know how to bring him back home.”
“He’s found out you’d possess a rare ability if you were to join our family,” Carlisle answers, and her eyes find him immediately. “One that the Volturi would never allow to exist. That means they’d kill you if you were to change.”
Wiping her tears with the back of her hand, she furrows her eyebrows. “Then I won’t shift and it won’t be a problem.”
“Aro will know,” Alice chimes in. “He can read every thought anyone’s ever had just by touch. He’d find out about you. Even as a human, you’d be a threat. The potential you carry is enough for him to act.”
Letting out a heavy breath, Y/N shakes her head. “How do you even know I might have this power?”
“We asked a member of our extended family to visit,” Alice replies. “We didn’t want to take risks when it came to you. A Quileute imprint.”
“And if you didn’t? If he never told you what potential I carry? If we never even mentioned the possibility of me being part of your family?”
“You’d have never gone through what Paul saw the day he imprinted on you.”
“A self-actualizing prophesy,” Y/N nods. “Is it really as bad as it seems?” Y/N asks Alice. “Paul has always seemed traumatized by it, but he’s my imprint. Is it really a horrid way to die?”
For the first time, Y/N noticed emotions in the Cullens. The Cullens' stony faces are difficult to read by humans, but Y/N can no longer ignore the emotions she notices in them. It’s on all their faces–compassion and pity most of all.
“Okay then”, Y/N forces a small smile as she uses Jacob’s shoulders to help herself stand. Jasper doesn’t hesitate, holding her up as she stumbles during her attempt.
“We need to find my fiancé,” Y/N purses her lips. “Jacob,” she sighs. “Please find him and bring him back to me.”
“I will do my best,” he promises. “But it’s not easy when we get into this headspace. It once took me an entire summer to return to my human form.”
Nodding, she swallows thickly. “Tell him I need him. Tell him I love him and I don’t care about anything other than spending the rest of my life with him. I want to get married and I want us to live every single day to the fullest.”
“I’ll gather the rest of the pack still willing to shift,” Jacob pecks her forehead. “We can cover more ground and drag him back if necessary.”
As Jacob walks toward the door, he’s stopped as her fingers coil around his pinky finger–the only part of him she could reach as he all but ran to fulfill his promise.
“Don’t let him see me breaking down. He can’t ever know.”
Ever since, Y/N waited for her soulmate to return to her. Embry, Quill, and Seth joined Jacob in their search the very first night. Sam and his eldest son waited for Leah and her husband, Owen, to come from Port Angeles before joining the very next day.
Emily would visit with her youngest every morning. Y/N’d have her dad over for lunch, but it didn’t help distract her as much. The greatest thing Sam has ever done for her was give her and Paul his blessing to clue her father in. She didn’t tell him she was marked for certain death. It would kill him to know, but he knows enough to be aware her life is in danger. She told him Paul’s off with the pack trying to hunt down a rogue cold one, protecting the tribe. Kim and Jared would come over every other night for dinner. Y/N imagines it’s because they feel guilty about Jared’s lack of involvement in the search for Paul. He’s not shifted in so long, the human part of him is much stronger than the wolf. Y/N supposes they didn’t want to halt his aging now when they finally seem to look the same age. She can’t take it to heart. Perhaps she’d hate if Paul shifted after a decade too.
Claire and her wife visited on the second day. She’s never been too close to Claire as she and Andrea live far, about a five-hour drive in one direction. They mostly see each other for holidays, but Y/N appreciated her visiting very much. Catching up with them put her mind at ease for a few hours, long enough to maintain some semblance of sanity.
Renesmee showed up with Bella for a few hours on the third day, bringing loads of chocolates Edward knew Y/N liked. Apparently, he’s joined the search earlier that day with Emmett and Rosalie.
The only ones who never left her home were Daisy and Jasper. It would likely drive Embry crazy if he knew his imprint had been sitting beside a vampire this entire time, especially when that vampire was Jasper. He’s apparently less stable with his diet compared to others in his family, but Y/N likes it when he’s close by. If it weren’t for him micromanaging her emotions whenever they threatened to kill her, Y/N would have lost herself. Alice came and went, unable to handle the smell of wolves for too long. The smell of several wolves mixed together is much worse than Jacob's scent, she said.
“He’s going to come back”, Daisy hands her a cup of warm tea. It’s nothing compared to holding Paul’s hand, but if she closes her eyes for a few minutes, she can pretend he’s there, safe with her.
Daisy sits with her, feeling her loss. Embry’s never been away this long before. She can’t imagine how hard it must be for Y/N when she can’t even be sure Paul is alright when she can feel he’s in pain. At least Embry isn’t in danger and he isn’t heartbroken to the point of being stuck in his wolf form. He’ll definitely come back home. Paul might not. She doesn’t say that openly, but she carries that worry. Meeting Y/N was scary as hell, especially with how highly Embry used to talk about her. She knows they had a mutual crush on each other when they were younger, but it never seemed to work for them. Embry told her he didn’t want to mess up his friendship with Jacob, who was evidently in love with Y/N, but he also didn’t want to risk losing Y/N as a friend. It was easier to admire her from a distance.
It’s not like Daisy is insecure about her relationship with Embry now, but before she knew what imprinting was, it did cross her mind that Y/N might be competition. She only found out about imprints when Embry spilled the beans about Paul imprinting on Y/N when she first came back to town. He wasn’t aware she was close enough to hear him and the way he mocked Paul for it, but she heard it. It wasn’t hard making the connection about their own situation. Smiling, she remembers how stupid his face looked when she called him her imprint in bed that night. He nearly choked on his own saliva before she kissed him harder than ever before. She wishes he was with her to kiss him harder than that. Jared didn’t shift and leave Kim, so why did Embry? Shaking her head, she puts those thoughts away. Y/N is a close friend, possibly her closest friend, and she’s definitely Embry’s favorite person aside from herself. This is a small sacrifice for someone they both care about.
Jasper watches the two girls from the couch. He can sense the quickly shifting emotions in Daisy every day, but none of them are malicious. It’s evident she simply misses her husband. Y/N is a hurricane compared to Daisy. She’s impossible to predict and the devastation her emotions can cause is incredibly difficult to contain. He’s never truly delved much into imprint connections, perhaps because Jacob and Renesmee had a simple relationship. Renesmee didn’t pay him much attention until she ended things with her high school boyfriend. After graduation, that’s when she decided she wanted him…selfishly so. She never quite unlatched from him. Renesmee was more or less obsessed with him, jealous of Y/N’s friendship with him, but she was never in any pain regarding Jacob. As for the wolf side of the relationship, Jacob just wanted to protect her and make her happy. He didn’t necessarily love her the way Renesmee loved him, but he wouldn’t ever break her heart, even though his own wasn’t whole. Jasper always knew Jacob loved someone else and despite the imprinting tying him to his niece, Jacob never forgot the one he wanted truly. Seeing Jacob and Y/N in the same room revealed everything to him — he wanted what he could never have. And now he’s off, making sure Y/N can have some form of a happy ending as if she won’t die soon.
Never before did Jasper care much about humans, knowing they’re around only for a brief part of his immortal life. Very few did he care to befriend and, for some reason, Y/N felt like a person he wanted to be around. She didn’t make him thirsty, it’s her heart that speaks to him. So many people walk around hiding their true feelings, but she feels everything so clearly and she refuses to pretend otherwise. It’s rare to find someone like that. He has observed her mainly depressed in the time he's known her, but he wonders about the potential of being around her when she's truly happy.? He could get drunk on candid joyfulness Y/N is capable of feeling. Perhaps he’s going to be invited to the wedding when Paul returns. She’ll certainly be cheerful on that day and he has to know the other side of this despair. He can't believe that he cannot replace this pit of aching with ecstasy and serenity.
Alice finds him unreasonable for staying with Y/N inside the house she shares with Paul, but he can’t bring himself to leave yet. Not before she’s reunited with her fiancé. Leaving now is like playing with destiny. She deserves the relief he’s cautiously giving her, making sure she can feel her emotions without allowing them to cross the borders of what she can safely handle. Y/N needs him, even if others do not agree. Until Paul walks over the threshold of this house, Jasper will not leave. Y/N doesn’t demand it either. He can feel she’s grateful for his presence, for taking the edge off the very sharp knife her emotions tend to become.
So he stays, watching over the girls as the lighting tears apart the sky.
“What would happen if I were to join your family and Aro was,” Y/N pauses as she turns to look at Jasper, who seemed rather surprised she was talking about it. “Well, if he was eliminated, would it really be such a problem for me? For your family?”
Staring at Jasper, Y/N watches as his lips spread in a thin line and then into a genuine smile. She’s definitely gone mad. “You’d want to take on the Volturi?”
“I want to take on Aro,” she corrects. “If he was alone, he’d be easier to eliminate.”
“To kill, you mean,” Jasper states.
Shaking her head, she places the empty teacup down. “I understand the chances of it are minimal, but say I accept to be one of you and I get this magical power of making vampires human… Can’t I make him human?”
“Would he, like, just become a vampire again?” Daisy asks.
Jasper rubs his chin. The more time he spends around her, Y/N swears he does these little gestures for her benefit, something to take away from the ungodly beauty he possesses, to make him seem more human.
It's impossible to turn them into vampires after they have been cured. However, the rest of them would know. The entire army would be ready to dismember us to get to you.”
“Not if he disappears,” Y/N tries. “We could hold him hostage until he dies a human death.”
“That’s dark”, Daisy notes.
“It’s nothing compared to what he’s been doing for much longer than you’ve been alive,” Jasper argues. “He deserves far worse.”
“Could it work?” Y/N asks as Jasper’s phone lights up. “Alice?” The hope in her voice is so easily detectable that it makes Jasper almost frown when he sees it’s a message from Edward.
We found Paul.
“No. Edward says they found Paul.”
“Are they coming home?” Y/N jumps, running toward Jasper. “Call him, call him!”
Smiling as her hope brings alive the butterflies in his stomach, Jasper dials his brother immediately.
“Kind of hard to talk now”, Edward grunts as a loud growl sounds.
“I’m with Y/N. You’re on speaker.”
“Where is he”, Y/N grabs Jasper’s wrist, bringing her lips closer to the phone. “Is he okay?”
“Canada”, Edward sighs as the growling grows louder.
“Is that him?!” she exclaims. “Paul Lahote, you stop that right now!”
On command, the growls turn into whimpers and she can’t help the way her chin trembles with the pained sound leaving her fiancé.
“Come home,” she says softly. “I know you believe you put me in this situation, but that’s not true.” Sniffling, she pauses as if to wonder if saying it in front of everyone is unwise. It doesn’t take long for her to decide, choosing to prioritize Paul over her vulnerability. “If you and I never fell in love, I’d have been dead a long time ago. Paul, I came back home for a few months to tie up loose ends.”
Glancing at Daisy who stood by her, Y/N swallows thickly. “I was struggling with anxiety and depression. And I didn’t feel like I had anyone in this world other than my dad. I just…I was in therapy, but it didn’t really feel like it was working. The meds never really helped either. I was just so…so lonely.”
“Y/N”, Daisy rests a hand on her shoulder as a show of support.
“I was planning on taking my life and then you showed up in that forest with your stupid smile and gorgeous eyes and suddenly I had one more mystery to solve.” Smiling meekly, Y/N sighs. “Before long, I was falling in love with you and my friends returned to me and in that time, I started falling in love with life again. You saved my life, Paul Lahote, and I hate how cheesy that sounds, but you did. And whatever time I got now is still a lot longer than it would have been if we never met.”
Biting her lower lip, she closes her eyes. “You made me happier than I believed was possible. I love you and I want to marry you. I want to marry you and become your wife as we planned. Come back to me so we can enjoy this time we have left.”
“I will.”
She recognizes Paul’s voice immediately.
“I’ll be home soon. We’ll do whatever you want.” His voice is shaky, imbued with heavy emotions he’s attempting to keep under control.
Smiling, she nods. “A beach wedding would have been great, but the weather might not agree.”
“I’ll make sure it agrees,” Paul sniffles.
“Where we had our first date?”
“Sounds perfect!”
Neither spoke for a few moments. Each breath seems to hang in the air, heavy with unspoken thoughts. It’s the kind of silence that carries weight, a palpable tension that both parties are acutely aware of but hesitate to break. Y/N inhales sharply as Paul breaks the silence.
“I love you too.”
“I know”, she replies quietly.
“With all my heart.”
“I believe you.”
“I’ll see you soon,” Paul promises.
Nodding, she holds her breath as tears rush to her eyes. She can’t let Paul hear her crying. He’s carrying far too much guilt already and her tears shouldn’t be part of the load. Swallowing the growing lump at the back of her throat, she replies sweetly, her tone laced with all the love she wants to give him.
“I’ll hold you to that.”

A/N: No clue why Tumblr is being a bitch today, I don't even know if the tags are working because it doesn't let me do my usual thing, so if you're on the tag list, please let me know if you got a notification or not. On a side note, I've had the worst stomach bug since Friday, so forgive me for the grammar, I beg for leniency. As usual, anyone wanting to be tagged can comment on the post, just make sure your blog visibility settings are on and that your blog hasn’t been flagged (blurry pfp is usually your clue that you have been flagged) as those are most common reasons why tumblr won’t let you be tagged. Also keep in mind changing your @ might mean you lose your tag since Tumblr acts like your blog no longer exists due to the change.

The Exit
Jasper H. Whitlock Rated Mature Summary: Not much was known about Adelaide Alden or the mysterious man who's been spotted lurking in her shadow. They say she appeared in town overnight and took little Forks by storm as if she's been there all along- by the time she disappears it's too late for the residents to realize they hadn't learned a thing about her. ('*' used to mark chapters with mature/violent content) an. leave a comment to join the tag list <3
The Index (0/9)
So Long -coming soon
It was as if she manifested overnight in that little cabin tucked away in the woods past the southwest river bend and the local reservation; that curious girl who acted as if she'd been one of Forks' own born-and-raised.
A Trip Worth Taking
Adelaide always seemed to know just how many times to deny a gift before accepting to maintain decorum; this sixth sense did not seem to apply to creatures watching her resting in the woods.
The Alter
Adelaide made quite a few promises in her time up north; to friends old and new alike, some were much more lenient on her timing than others. Still she always made good on her word, and it was about time someone devoted some of themselves to her in turn.
Of Mice And Mince*
The fact that she was beautiful was the first thing most of the town knew of her; that she was a classical beauty who looked like she stepped right from a painting. They say she looked best in red.
Hunter's Prayer*
Still recovering from her brush with not-so-certain death, Addie drops off the face of the earth and leaves the wreckage in her wake. She may not know what to make of the madness seemingly all around her, but she always knew when to get the hell out of dodge.
Fallacies & Fantasy
For a girl who thrived in secrets and double-entendres, her memoir of a diary was surprisingly easy to find. There in ink laid her every inner thought ripe for the reading. He wasn't going to; honest to God, but with the timer running out and an ever-pushing sister, desperation was palpable around him.
Truth, Indeed
When Adelaide was little she had two younger siblings, a boy and a girl. The twins were three years her younger and thick as thieves with a penchant for trouble; but they always knew she'd be there to fix whatever chaos they'd caused.
The Ice*
It was a sickly thing, the babe she cared for. It held her fingers so tightly they crunched beneath the pressure, but it babbled and cried and looked at her like she was the world.
Of The Other Side*
Adelaide Alden didn't believe in living in fear of consequence, mostly because she never stuck around long enough to face them. In ten years from now they'll remember her as 'fearless' and 'wild,' as a girl who didn't let the world dull her fire. In forty she'll be a cautionary tale of wanting it all and more, how you won't realize until you're too far gone. In sixty she will fade from the last persons mind and be a faceless name in an archived yearbook and folk-stories passed on by the local reservation.

Rebirth - Ch. 3:
School
Word count : 3.9k
Summary: First days of school together.

☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆
The blaring alarm was shut off when Aurora threw a pillow at it, and it fell. It was probably broken, but she didn't care. Amora stepped into the room, sighed, and put her hands on her hips.
"Come on my little sleeping beauty get up." Aurora groaned.
Amora shifted closer and started to poke Aurora cheeks, "Come on pumpkin."
When that sweet and thoughtful approach didn't work Amora started to shake her, "Shake the baby awake shake the baby."
"Okay, okay, stop, you're gonna break my neck, christ." Aumora chuckled and stopped but not letting her fall back.
"Come on, sleepy head, get ready." Aurora gave her a blank stare but nodded. Amora finally let her go but gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Okay, I have to go to work. You be good and start making Abuela's coffee and make sure her cigarette is by the coffee, just one, remember. Lord knows that women could smoke up 4 cartons and still outlive us." Her mother rolled her eyes but headed.
Aurora gave her mom a kiss on the cheek as well and grumbled, "Bye." Her mother yelled "Bye" one more time as she put her shoes on and headed towards her Jeep.
Aurora started to rise out of bed slowly. She huffed and kicked off the blanket. She brushed her teeth and washed her face, put on: vitamin c, moisturizer, sunscreen, a bit of concealer around her dark circles, slightly smudged winged eyeliner and mascara. She went back into her room and threw clothes on the bed. There were her warming tights, a skirt, blue jeans, a cropped long sleeve, and a black hoodie. She opted for the jeans, sleeves, hoodie - based on outside, it looked a little chilly. She brushed her hair and did 2 little braids.
She looked in the mirror, ' Not bad, not bad at all.' She grabbed her backpack and went down stairs, she made her grandmothers coffee and grabbed a cigarette from the 'stash' - as her mom called it - and put it right next to it. She glanced at the time and rushed to the room right next to the dining room. "¡Abuela voy a la escuela, tu café está listo!"
"Si si cariño, adios!" With that, Aurora walked down the stone path to the sidewalk to the Swan residence.
Bella just closed the door, she saw Aurora and waved. "You ready?"
The girl grinned, "As I'll ever be." She hopped in the passenger side, and Bella started to drive.
(Loose translation: Grandma I'm going to school, you're coffe is ready!
Yes yes honey bye!"
They pulled into the parking lot and parked next to a van.
A mocking voice was heard, "Nice ride." Bella just ignored them while Aurora flipped them off.
They walked together inside rowards the office, Aurora’s mom was waiting for them, talking to the secretary with slips in her hands.
She noticed the two teenage girls and smiled. She finished her conversation and went to Aurora. She gave her a side hug, then gave Bella a warm smile.
"Hello girls, here are your classes. Made sure I got them ready for when you came in case you came in late." She winked and handed the papers to them, " Okay, well, I have to get back to work, I'll probably stay late a bit. Do you want to stay with me cariño?"
"I can take you home, I don't plan on staying after school." Bella gave the offer before Aurora answered.
"It's okay, Mama. I'll ride with Bella home, I want to be for sure caught up with everything for school."
Amora smiled again and nodded. "Okay, okay, off to class you two." One last hug and smile and Amora shoo'ed them off.
"Your mom is really nice."
Aurora nodded, "Thanks she took after me," she said solemnly, clutching her chest. Bella gave a hearty laugh. Bella hoped that they were friends and, if so, that they would stay friends for a long time.
Bella had biology. Well, Aurora had AP Spanish. They parted ways and promised to see each other at lunch. While Bella was bombarded by Erick Yorkie, Aurora bumped into a pixie. Literally. The girl in front of her looked like a pixie that escaped into the real world.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention!" She apologized to the other short haired girl. Alice blinked. 'Holy shit this is her,' was all the girl could think. She had an earnest expression. She blinked again.
"You're okay. It was just a bump."
"Okay, again though, I'm super sorry. I should've been paying attention to where I was walking."
Alice smiled and waved a dismissive hand. "It's fine. I'm assuming you're new, I haven't seen you before."
Aurora nodded, "Oh yes, that's why I bumped into you. I was looking for AP Spanish."
"Oh, I know where that is, don't worry, I'll take you." Alice grabbed Aurora's hand. She was cold to the touch. Aurora almost recoiled from the holding but was pulled away by Alice. She led her 3 doors down. "Tada! Here you go."
"Oh, thank you so much ! I really appreciate it. I'm Aurora, by the way.
"Aurora." Alice whispered the name. "That is a beautiful name."
Aurora blushed and thanked her. "My name is Alice."
"I've always liked that movie." Alice smiled at her.
"While I always liked Sleeping Beauty. " The bell ringed.
"Well, Aurora, I will see you later. If you need help again, don't hesitate to ask!" Alice winked and waved.
The class filled up, while Aurora waited to the side. She could literally die at this moment. Introducing herself was going to give her a heart attack.
"Alright, class. Listen up. Tenemos una nueva estudiante aquí, llamada aurora. Por favor presentate."
Aurora felt that she looked like a strawberry, "Hola, mi nombre es Aurora. Me mudé aquí desde Los Ángeles ayer. Encantado de conocerlos a todos."
The teacher smiled, someone else who spoke Spanish well. "Hmm. Tome asiento junto al señor Hale. Hale levanta la mano por favor."
'Hale?' She searched and finally found the honey blonde combo. There he was in his black turtle neck and leather jacket. He looked the same yet entirely different. He raised his hand, and Aurora nodded to the teacher.
She sat next to Jasper. He didn't spare her a glance. 'This is him, right? What the fuck are the chances of another Jasper Hale with blonde hair and golden eyes!?'
(Loose translation: This is the new student aurora. Please introduce yourself.
Hello my name is Aurora. I moved here from Los Angeles yesterday. Nice to meet you all.
Take a seat by Mister Hale. Hale please raise your hand.)
Jasper could feel her hurt and confusion. He needed more time. A little more time to gain control.
Aurora sighed, 'Of fucking course. He was just being nice. Who would want me.'
The self-doubt and insecurity hit Jasper like a train.
She made sure to lean the to right as much as possible. Okay, fine. Jasper was going to pretend not to know her. That is fine. She understood. She sighed. The teacher rambled on and on about the AP test, before classed ended, he told Aurora to stay behind. He wanted her to complete a project and some work sheets by the end of the month. It was doable.
They had AP history together, too. And honors Chemistry. And calculus. And AP English. Fucking christ Jasper couldn't get away from her. Finally, finally she had AP Art while he had a free period, expect she had art with Alice
Jasper wanted to leave. He really did. He didn't want to hurt her, and the best choice was to walk away now. But he couldn't, physically couldn't. He stayed behind by the exit right before her class ended. Leaning against the wall, eyes close. 'Control. Control. Control.'
He could do this, he hoped. He heard Aurora thank the teacher and started to walk out with Alice. She walked into him while putting the materials inside he backpack.
"What the fuck did I walk into a concrete wall?" She muttered to herself. She look up, a hand holding her forehead, and eye contact was made. Alice chuckled but tried to kep quiet.
"Hey there, little princess." Aurora narrowed her eyes. She huffed, stepped to the side, and continued to walk. Alice eyebrows were raised in shock but continued after Aurora. She gave a shrug to Jasper.
Jasper understood, he ignored her, which was quite fucked up in his opinion. 'Okay all I need to do is apologize, and say it because... because.... I didn't want to distract her? Thats horrendous but its all I got.' He sighed and followed the pair.
"So, how do you know Jasper?"
Aurora glanced behind them, "I don't really. Just meet him once."
While it stung a bit for Jasper, it was the truth.
"How about you? You seemed to know him?" Aurora wasn't expecting her answer.
"Oh, he's my adopted brother." Aurora looked at her wide-eyed.
"Seriously? Like you're not fucking around?"
Alice gave a small giggle, "Yes, seriously."
'Oh,' was uttered by Aurora. At her locker, she finished putting the papers in her bag, 'Christ, this shit is full,' as she was about to put the backpack on, an arm reached around back. Jasper put her back pack on, his at his house because of his free period.
Aurora narrowed her eyes. Now, he wanted to start acting like Prince Charming.
Aurora halted, "Um, excuse me."
"Yes, little miss?" Oh, that accent made her swoon, 'No, don't fall for it ! He was a jerk!'
"My backpack, please." She gave out an expectant hand.
Alice slowly backed away toward the end of the corridor.
"Come on, Ms. Princess, I'm truly sorry. I was just shocked that we had that many classes, and at first, I didn't want to distract you, but then it just felt odd to try and beg for forgiveness in class."
Aurora narrowed her eyes, "While, come one then, beg." She crossed her arms over her chest
Jasper was in slight shock. He didn't expect to actually beg just a simple sorry. "Okay, you're right."
He started to get on his knees. Aurora was flushed. She just thought he was going to say sorry again!
"Miss Aurora, I am truly sorry -" "Okay, okay, please get up, you're forgiven. Just stand up."
Aurora held out her hand, which Jasper gadly took. Just as he was dusting off his knees, Aurora's name was called. The first was her mother, and the second was Bella.
They both went to her and Jasper, with Alice standing still to the side, watching how this all played out. Bella was behind Amora.
"Cariño! ¿Cómo era la escuela? ¿y quien es este?" Amora was under the impression only her and her daughter knew spanish, but Jasper knew, and so did Alice a bit.
"Hi mamá, la escuela estuvo bien, solo había muchas cosas para ponerme al día y este Jasper Hale. Lo tengo en la mayoría de mis clases."
Jasper put his hand out to shake, "Hola señora, soy Jasper Hale. Encantado de conocerlo. Iba a ofrecerle ayuda a la señorita Aurora aquí para las clases que tenemos juntas."
(Loose translation: Hi mom, school was fine, just a lot of things to catch up on and this Jasper Hale. I have him in most of my classes.
Hello ma'am, I'm Jasper Hale. Nice to meet you. I was going to offer to help Miss Aurora here for the classes we have together.)
Amora was impressed. For looking like one of the whitest boys ever, his Spanish was good. She took his hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you." She went towards Aurora and gave her a hug and kiss on the head.
"Okay cariño I'll see you later at home. Be good, and don't forget to help Abuela with dinner, I should be home before then, but just in case."
Aurora hugged her mom back," Okay bye mama, see you at home. Love you!" She waved as her mom started to walk away.
"Love you too!"
Bella was just a little jealous, Aurora’s mom was like the perfect mom, and she knew her mom tried, but she also knew that it was just the bare minimum.
"You ready to go?" Bella spoke into the silence.
"Um," she did a quick glance to Jasper before nodding, "Yeah, let's go."
"We'll walk you to the car." Alice smiled and clapped her hands, no room for discussion. Bella was shocked it clicked in her that the "Adonis" was Jasper Hale, and she even knew Alice Cullen, Edward's sister!
The two human girls nodded. They trailed behind the siblings, Bella shot Aurora a look and pointed towards them with her head.
Aurora gave her a wide-eyed look and shrugged.
The siblings shared a look, Jasper quickly shot a galnce towards them, which Alice only gave a sly smile.
Once they were outside, Edward saw them. He internally groaned, 'This wasn't how it was supposed to go.' He got in the car and started it, annoyed at Jasper and Alice.
"Okay, it was wonderful to meet you too, but our brother is waiting for us!" Alice waved at them and started towards Edward.
Jasper nodded hesitantly. He took the backpack off and leaned close to Aurora, "Sorry Princess, duty is calling me, and he looks mad as hell." He grinned when Aurora blushed at their proximity.
"See you tomorrow?" Aurora asked.
"Most likely." He winked and waved bye to both girls. They waved back. Bella pulled Aurora to the car.
"How? When? And most importantly, how again!"
Alice and Jasper shared a look at Bella's question. They quietly laughed together.
Aurora shrugged again. "Like I told you I have no idea, maybe it's like you said yesterday: I just have serious game." The two girls laughed, as did the two vampires at Aurora's statement.
"But seriously, it was random, by chance."
"More like fate?" Tone questioning. They reached Bella's truck.
Aurora shrugged and got in, "If you want to call it that."
They pulled up in the middle of their houses. "Um, do you wanna come over and do homework? I already have a shit ton."
"All those AP classes."
Aurora nodded solemnly. Bella chuckeld and agreed to go over. "Let me just tell my Dad."
"Okay, I'll wait at the door." The two separated, and Aurora waited at the door. Bella soon came over, and the duo took off their shoes and entered.
Aurora shouted, "Abuela estoy en casa y traje a Bella, la hija del jefe, a estudiar!"
"Ok, mija! Estare haciendo mi crucigrama!" Jacinda smirked. The girl and her father would be here all the time.
(Loose Translation: Grandma I'm home I brought Bella, the Chief's daughter, to study!
Okay dear Ill be doing my crossword!")
"Alright, well, let's go up?"
Bella nodded and followed Aurora upstairs and to her room, still cozy. Aurora dropped her backpack off by the bed, as did Bella.
She got two of the throw pillows off the window seat and put them on the floor for the both of them. She quickly took out her phone to text her mom.
'I have Bella over to study. Can she stay to dinner?'
'Are you gonna want me to ask for Mr. Charlie to come over, too? °~°' -Aurora
'DON'T MAKE ME GROUND YOU.'
'yes she can and go head and invite him...' -Amora
Aurora smiled and sat on the floor. She motioned Bella to do the same.
"What classes do you have?"
"Um, english, gov, trig, spanish, bio, and gym. What about you?"
"I had AP spanish, AP history, honors chem, calculus, AP english , and AP Art."
"Fuck, thats alot of AP."
"Yes, while after that, I'll only take 2 for senior year and just chill."
"Anyone who is thinking taking 2 AP classes as chill is insane." Aurora giggled while Bella shook her head.
"Okay, let's study? It's 3 and I have to help my grandma with dinner at 5:30. Oh, do you want to come over for dinner? You can invite your dad too."
"Sure! What are you guys making?"
"Chicken soup."
"Oh, that sounds good, honestly perfect for the day."
'Hey, Dad Aurora invited us to dinner again. Can we eat here? They are making chicken soup?'
"Okay, texted him. He'll respond like in an hour."
"Alright, let's start homework, yay!" She said sarcastically. Bella shook her head.
The two brunettes started their homework, Bella doing biology first since it was easiest for her and Aurora doing AP Spanish because that is the one that had the most to-do.
Aurora finished the AP Spanish class and the honors homework with in the 2 hours. Well, Bella finished 3 classes homework. 'Not bad,' they simultaneously thought. They had a maximum of 2 weeks for the catching up assignments, but the sooner they get it done, the sooner they won't have to worry about it. Around 5, they stopped and went down stairs.
Jacinda was in the backyard smoking. Aurora saw the smoke from the little window and rolled her eyes. "Well, my grandma is smoking. Do you wanna sit while I get everything out?"
"Sure. How often do you guys cook together?"
"Oh, um, probably like 5 days out of the week. The other 2 is when either just one of us cook or we get take out."
"Oh, that must be nice." Bella gave a small sad smile.
Aurora nodded, seeing Bella with that expression made her think that her mom and her hardly did stuff like this.
"Wanna help?"
"Are you sure, I haven't really cooked, plus I'm very accident prone."
"You can skin the potatoes. That's probably the most less dangerous thing?"
She held the bowl of potatoes and the potato skinner, Bella smiled and took it. "Yeah, dont jinx it, though."
"You're right." Aurora knocked on the wood, and they laughed.
After about 10 minutes, Jacinda walked back inside and put her slippers on. She heard the chopping of the vegetables. There she saw Aurora cutting the potatoes. Bella was finishing up skinning. The carrots and onions were right next to her next in line, and the chicken was already washed and soaked in lime, knorr, and salt and pepper.
Jacinda heard them speak," So after washing it and seasoning in, you gotta put the water to boil. You can salt that, too. Usually my grandma will do that, the salt in water, let it boil, and once it starts boil throw the chicken in there just to let it cook and then welll pull it out to de-bone the chicken. Always cook chicken with the bone so the nutrients get in the soup."
Bella scribbled that down. 'Have bones in when boiling chicken.' Jacinda chuckled, she patted her clothes down to get rid of the smoke smell a little.
Jacinda entered the room. "Hola mijas, ok bien ya empezaron. Puedes poner el pollo en Bella y dejar que hierva."
Bella looked up at her name being said. She looked at Aurora. "She said hi and that you can put the chicken in the water. Do it slowly, though! So you won't get burned by the water splash."
Bella nodded nervously, "Um, okay. You might want to back up so I don't get it all of you guys."
Aurora smiled, "Don't worry. You got this." She gave her a thumbs up. Bella grimaced.
She poured the chicken slowly using a fork to help. "You did it! See, it wasn't too bad !" Aurora and Jacinda clapped while Bella blushed.
Amora pulled into the gravel driveway just as Charlie was walking down the street. Amora saw him and took a quick look in the mirror: eyebrows...check, mascara...check, lipstick and lip liner...check and semi check, hair down flat...check, and lastly breathe...not bad, check.
She opened the car door and saw Charlie about to stop right in front of her, "Here." He held out his hand. She noticed he was still in uniform. She accepted the offer and slowly got out of the car.
As the chicken boiled, Aurora heard the Jeep pull up she went down the hallway and waved for her grandmother and Bella to follow. The trio sat on the window seal, Aurora on the middle, and the other two to the sides. They all peeked through the closed curtains tiny openings.
There, before them, they saw Charlie helping Amora out of the car. They all shared a look.
Amora could feel eyes burning on to her, but she ignored them. "Thank you, Chief of Police." She gave a wink. Charlie blushed and touched the back of his head with his right hand, the other Amora was still holding on to.
"Um..." Charlie blanked.
"Um...." Amora copied him, hoping he would finish the sentence.
"Um... would you," Charlie tried to control his breath.
"Yes! Pick me up on Thursday at 7." That wasn't what Charlie was going to ask. He was going to ask if she wanted to go inside. But Charlie nodded. He did want to ask her out he just didn't have the balls quite yet.
"Okay. Great." He blushed, and she smiled.
She grabbed his hand and motioned towards the door. Together, they walked up the steps, Aurora unlocked the door, but Charlie opened it for her.
Before going inside, Amora put her hand to block it from opening too much.
"Let's not tell the kids just yet, you know, since it's the first date and all. If you can make it to the 5th, then we'll tell them."
"Yeah, okay. And don't worry, I'll make it to the 5th date." This Charlie was the bold and winked at her. She reddend and nodded.
"Good. I look forward to it." She took off her shoes, as did Charlie.
"Aurora! Abuela! And Bella! I'm home! Charlie got here at the same time I did!"
"We're in the kitchen! Finishing up cutting the veggies."
The duo headed towards the kitchen and saw Aurora cutting the celery, Bella cutting the onions, and Jacinda shredding the chicken.
"OH hola mija, veo que trajiste a tu novio a casa." If looks could kill. Aurora snickered, and Bella and Charlie looked confused. Bella looked towards Aurora to translate, and she gave her a wave and mouth 'later.' Bella nodded, assuming, correctly that is, Jacinda was teasing Miss Flores.
"Hola mama, míralo antes de que te quite esos cigarrillos que tanto te gustan." Jacinda squinted her eyes but waved her off.
She turned to Charlie, "Food is almost done. Go sit with Amora in the other room." Charlie looked perplexed. He knew she understood English, just thought she wouldn't or maybe couldn't speak it.
"Okay, ma'am." Not wanting to get on Jacinda's bad side already, he motioned to the dining, with a hopeful look. Amora glared at her mother and nodded. The two adults left the room.
"So what did she say?" Bella whispered.
Jacinda leaned in close to the girls, "I said, so you brought your boyfriend home." Bella's mouth fell open, and she laughed, as did Aurora.
"And then, she tried to threaten my cigarettes. Can you believe her? One of the few old lady's pleasures, mean." Bella snickered and nodded. Aurora shook her head in disbelief, her Abuela's cigarette? Come on, did her mother have a death wish?
Charlie heard Bella's laugh and smiled. He hasn't heard her laugh like that at all since she's been her. Of course, it's only been about 3 days, but still, it was nice to hear her enjoying herself.
The night was filled with laughter from the Flores house as the food was served, prayer said - for Abuela's sake - and the food being eaten. If the date went well and the others continued, Bella and Charlie could get used to this.

0.0 - Nature and Her Children
Pairing: Jacob Black x Black!OC [Circe Davis]
Synopsis: The town of Forks is home to few and a stranger to newcomers. Bella Swan's return to her hometown initiates an unprecedented change in a universe far from her understanding. As her curiosity fuels her obsession over her mysterious yet isolated classmate -- Edward Cullen, Circe Davis falls victim to her family's curse. Forced into a vulnerable state, Circe and her family must take arms against their greatest threat.
Divider By: @strangergraphics-archive
My life has been centered on something far bigger than myself.
My mother would always say that our existence is sourced by a form of nature we as humans overlook a lot.
She, nature, portrays our emotions. Our tears and our angers. Our happiness and our anxiety. However, she lacks a face. She lacks the ability to create a tangible relationship with her children.
Instead, she births life to those who are to enforce her wrath. Enact her joy and protect her from her horrors.
Circe Woods and her mother, Corinne Woods, were not strangers to the damp, somber atmosphere of their little town of Forks, Washington. The home of 3,120 people, constantly covered in shrouds of clouds and rain, its people live within a bubble – surrounded by forests and wildlife, far from the crowded bustling urban world. A town filled with families that know one another, privacy a lack luster fantasy.
In the eyes of their fellow townsfolk, the Woods have always been a good family. Granted, their family name hadn't lived in the town for centuries, but the impact of Corinne's parents and their legacy spoken so grand it could be mistaken as an art of mythology, was enough to cement the family in a good light. Circe's uncle, Charlie Swan – another Forks borne hero, was an even stranger story.
The Swans – a midwestern family conjured of farmers and hunters – made Forks a home where their son, Charlie, felt accepted. His childish soul found solace in the presence of other children by the names of William 'Billy' Black, Harry Clearwater, Quil Ateara IV, and Corinne. Though separated by their racial differences, the group had found a family in each other.
To put it bluntly, Circe was a genuine mistake. A child born of blind intimacy, her lack of a father was a weaponized joke used to attack her own character and that of her mother's. As her mother's best friend and the girl's godfather, Charlie had proudly taken his stance as a father in Circe's life. Undoubtedly, she, too, had filled the hole in his heart left behind by his daughter, Bella.
Left alone and forced to face the grief of his parents' passing by himself, Charlie had solely lived his life without a thought. His responsibility as Chief of Police, sworn to protect the home of his family and friends, motivated him greatly but even then – it could never compare to the warmth that settled in his heart whenever he was around his wife and their little Isabella. And now, after years of living away in Phoenix, the young Swan was to return to her hometown and live out the last of her high school years with her father.
"Are you excited to see Bella again, love?" Corinne asks, eyes focused on the road before her.
Circe hums in thought for a moment, almond shaped eyes studying the repetitive blur of trees from her window. "Somewhat," she answers. "Bella's not going to remember me, much less socialize with the likes of a freshman."
"Oh, don't be so ridiculous," Corinne scoffs. "If she is still the same Bella as before then there's no doubt, she'd be happy to have a familiar face at school."
Corinne pulls into the muddy driveway of the Swan house; the duo jumps out of the F-150. Circe snorts, "at least she won't have to spend her time parenting her dad."
"Eh!" Corinne gasps, lightly smacking her daughter's stomach. "I told you that in secret. Don't say any of that in front of Charlie."
Bursting through the front door of the white, two-story house was a tall, slightly muscular man dawning a black, badged fleece lined coat. The uniformed man was of cool ivory skin and dark features. His dark brown, nearly black, hair was cut short and pointed every which way. His moustache was rounded and brushed over his top lip. Earthy colored eyes carried a natural sink that drastically contrasted against the slight bemusement that flashed across the onyx gems.
"Corinne, Circe," he happily greets the mother and daughter. His arms wrap tightly around Corinne's waist, landing a swift peck on the woman's cheek. "It's good to see you both."
He lets go of Corinne and pulls Circe into a one arm hug. Behind him, a short – almost frail – appearing girl steps onto the small porch. Her small figure inches towards the three, hooded brown eyes darting between the wet dirt under her battered Converse and the mirky eyes of Circe.
"Bella, you might remember them, but this is Corinne Davis and her daughter, Circe," Charlie introduces each party.
Corinne smiles at the girl, greeting her with a nod. "It's good to see you, love." Bella nods back, "it's good to see you as well."
"Hey, I'm Circe," the 15-year-old waves. "We used to play with the hens on my family's farm." Bella nods, a light chuckle slipping past her lips. "I remember."
She points at the younger girl, eyes squinting. "Is the one... it was like, black and gray. Very aggressive –" The short teen giggles, "Lucille is still kicking. Literally."
The sound of an engine revving down the slick road, a soft honk splitting the awkward tension. Two smaller, older trucks pull in front of the house. The slim, rusted champagne truck was driven by a natural golden man with silk dark hair dressed in flannel and a trucker hat.
Ahead of him in the orange truck was a boy that appeared as a younger copy of the older man. The boy jumps out of the truck, jogging over to his father's truck. He picks up a folded wheelchair from the bed of the Chevy, opening and locking it outside of his father's door. Charlie walks over to the truck and helps the boy pull the man from his seat.
Settled, the three return to the girls. Charlie looks at his daughter once more, nodding at the newcomers. "Bella, these are the Blacks," he introduces.
"This is Billy—" Bella interrupts with a warm shake of the hand as she greets the elder. "Billy Black, you're looking good," she smiles.
The man shrugs, confidently, "well, I'm still dancing." Corinne snorts, "more like spinning." The three adults giggle, sharing glances. Billy continues speaking to Bella, "I'm glad you're finally here."
"Charlie hasn't shut up about it since you told him you were coming," he sides eyes the Chief. Charlie rolls his eyes, turning to walk away. "Keep exaggerating, I'll roll you into the mud," he playfully threatens.
Billy spins in his wheelchair, "after I ram you in the ankles." The two begin to wrangle in the street, Corinne rolls her eyes and follows them.
In the meanwhile, the long-haired boy steps forward with a sheepish look. "Hi, I'm Jacob," he silently gulps. "We used to make mud pies together." His puppy-like eyes bounce between the two girls.
"Right, right," Bella nods. "I remember. Circe would make these huge ones and nail her mom's dates with them." Jacob chuckles, nodding.
He fully stares at the shorter party, studying the appearance of his friend. Circe had a beauty that was seen far and in few with almond eyes fueled with mirth and logic. Thick hair was braided and twisted, spiraling down her spine and brushing the middle of her back. The dark brown tresses mix with platinum strands like the most delicious two-toned ice cream.
Unlike most of the adolescents of Forks, she dawned dark clothes and thick boots. Her loose, knitted sweater overlapped the dark grey camisole and the sleeves droop dramatically past her small digits. Her fitted yet baggy jeans were held to her waist by a thick, bejeweled belt and torn at the knees while the shiny yet scratched tips of her boots peak through the mounds of fabric. Her accessories were a consistent theme of turquois, symbols of balance, and spiders.
She sends him a slanted grin, "Jacob." He turns flustered, back straightening as his hands dig deeper into the back pockets of his jeans. Nervous, a chuckle escapes him before a quiet: "Circe," leaves his tongue.
Outside of Nature creating these divine children, there's an aspect of life that not even she could outsmart.
Every creature that exists has another half. A friend. A lover. A sanctuary.
And despite our hearts being promised at creation, the journey to find one another is a test crafted to rebirth the souls as one union.
... heyyy, guess who's trying to make a comeback - sort of. Please, don't be mad!
Now that you all haven't attacked me as of yet, I would like to say that I'm currently in the process of revamping and continuing my current stories. I really just took my time away from Tumblr for some personal time, but I'm back and will be making some changes.
In the meantime, please enjoy the beginning of my Twilight Franchise. Kisses 💚

The Raven and the vampire
Chapter 1
This is a Twilight and marvel mashup, the daughter of loki finds her soulmate in jasper Cullen and the twists and turns it will take them both
Note this is my first fanfic ever please be nice. I’m trying I constantly reread and change/fix these. As of 11/21/24 i've redone this story it is no longer a reader insert. I want to thank everyone who liked the original and hope you like the updated version more, this was my first ever fic and i've slowly grown as a writer so everyone enjoy
It begins like every other day on Asgard, sunny and golden, gilded with light, as the sounds of a baby’s wails break the silence of the healing wing. Loki paces back and forth, waiting to be with his wife and newborn. The doors swing open, and an attendant comes forward.
“You may enter your highnes. Your wife and child are all cleaned up and waiting for you.”. Brushing past the attendant, Loki heads straight for the figure sitting against the backboard of the green silk bed.
“My darling, how are you? How do you feel? Do you need anything? Are you hung/…’..
“/Loki, calm down. I'm perfectly fine. A little tired, but it was all worth it to finally meet our daughter.”
“it’s a girl?”
“Yes, my son,” comes the voice of Frigga, queen of Asgard, as she walks over to the bed with a wrapped bundle in her arms. “She is a beautiful baby princess, and here she is, ready to meet her parents.” Walking to the new parents with a bundle of green and gold cloth in her hands, Frigga handed the new princess to her mother.
The baby was a light blue with raised markings prominent on her body, tufts of deep black hair crowning her head, and scarlet eyes opened to take in her parents. Lady Sigyn didn't even pause at the baby’s coloring, long since having broken Loki of thinking himself a monster due to his heritage.
“She is half Jotun as we expected, but her body should adjust to the environment soon just as her father did,” Frigga states, noticing her son had yet to say anything as he simply stared at his daughter's small form resting in his beloved's arms, slowly offering his finger to the baby girl. Skin turning blue as the babe gripped it in her tiny hands.
“She’s beautiful,”
“Yes, she is, oh, Loki look,”
The new parents watched as scarlet eyes gave way to white with beautiful amethyst irises, skin turning a beautiful pale like her father's with a dashing of freckles like her mother's.
“She looks like you, my love, beautiful dark hair.”
“She looks like the both of us, a perfect blend. Elara Frigga Lokidottir, Princess of Asgard.
Our little raven.”
Eight hundred years have passed, and the young princess has blossomed into a woman of grace and beauty. Like her father and grandmother before her, she is a mage, as well as a warrior in her own right. How could she not be, with private training from an actual Valkyrie, not to mention her aunt and uncle— The goddess of war and the god of thunder (who is affectionately referred to as the "god of sparkles")
Through many trials and tribulations, she has grown. Throughout her life, she has been surrounded by love—seeing it in her parents' faces as they look at each other, her baby brother's eyes as he babbles up at her, and the warmth of her grandparents, uncle, and many others. She has also heard countless stories of love that were never discovered and tragic tales of love found only to be lost.
“Mother, father, I've done it.” Elara omimite as she bursts into her parent's sitting room.
Sigyn was sitting on the floor with the twins as they had tummy time, while Loki was next to her, legs crossed at the ankle, reading a book to the two of them. Both looked up as their oldest came into the room.
`What is that, my little raven?”
“ Father, I've completed the spell to find my soulmate.”
“Soulmate? Spell? Darling, what are you talking about? You're still so young. You shouldn’t be worried about that yet.”
“Mother, you and father were only 200 years older than me when you both finally married, and much younger than that the first time you met, you started frolicking with each other. Uncle Thor has told me as such. Besides, I'm ready. I want to have what all of you have, especially before I'm used as a pawn to help diplomatic affairs.”
At this, Loki stands, embarrassing his daughter and ushering her into the lounge between him and her mother. Though Elara had grown 800 years in Asgard, it only made her about 18- 20 in human terms. And yes, she was old enough to start being courted. He selfishly thought that time wouldn't come for much longer. His wife's voice breaks him of his
“My little raven, we would never allow the Allfather or anyone else to use you as a pawn, you know that, right?
“You can try, Mother, but we never know what the future holds, and I don't want to wait anymore. Besides, Father is the one who gave me the idea to begin with.”
“Loki, why am I not surprised you are somehow involved with our daughter trying to leave?”
“Dear, it will all be fine. I would want nothing to harm our little raven, but she is right; now we are at peace, but that can easily change. I want her to be able to choose her path instead of others doing it for her.”
“And it not just to spurn the Allfather.”
“While that is always a bonus, no, Mother even agreed with me. Our little princess is grown, whether we like it or not; now go ahead, love, tell us what you’ve discovered,” Loki states as he kisses his wife, soothing her while gesturing to Elara to carry on.
“ Mother?”
Sigyn pinches her mouth, looking between her mischievous husband and equally energetic eldest.
“Fine, I will go along with you and your father's plans, but I wish to be there when the spell is cast and part of the travel discussions.”
“Absolutely, Mother, I can do the spell now; I just need the maps of the realms.”
Loki summons all the maps he's collected over the years, including a globe of Earth, and sets them up for his daughter when a thought occurs to him.
“Odin forbid this adventure; send you to Midgard.”
“Loki, we will support whoever it is and wherever it takes her. Besides, if you didn’t want her to go away, you shouldn’t have helped her make the spell to begin with.”
“Your words cut deep, my love. I simply hoped for her future match to be here in Asgard.”
“As you’ve said, my dear. Now, sweetie, let's proceed with this event.”
The maps of the realms litter the giant green carpet. In front of Elara, she sets the small golden bowl with the spells and concoctions as she draws the needed ruins.
“So I modified a spell to find a lost item and a spell to show your heart's desire, combining the two with a complicated magic circle. I should be able to find my soulmate”,
“Very impressive, little raven”
“Thank you, Father,” Elara says before beginning.
Purple magic flows from her fingers toward the bowl. The power quickly spreads out, forming a magic circle, and as soon as it is complete, a bright, pulsing light shoots up.
The light dances around Elara and her parents several times before shooting to the maps.
“It's working!” Sigyn happily claps in awe, watching her daughter work.
Pulsing around the realms maps, the light simply hoovers before shooting for the Midgardian globe, encasing it insistently.
“Oh joy, my daughter's soulmate is a Midgardian.”
“Honestly, I think it serves you right, Loki,” Sigyn states, picking at her husband and his distaste for Midgardians, “but you don’t even know who or what this midgarden is. Who knows, they could be gifted like our dear Wanda.”
“Yes, my darling,” Loki says as he collapses on the nearest couch.
“Well, go on, my little raven, let's see where in Midgard you will be visiting.”
Walking over to the globe, Elara peers over to what small words have now been illuminated.
“It’s a place called….. Forks, Washington.”
