Hello. I'm not trying to start a fight or anything like that and I could careless if you post this publicly or privately (I'll leave that up to you), but I am a bit concerned with the Hidashi is only shipped because they're Asian males and it's racist… like I am a Hidashi shipper (if you hadn't guessed already) and I can understand the many arguments against Hidashi. But this one argument seems kinda senseless. So, if you could just clear up the reasoning why you think it's racist or shippers

Listen. Listen. We aren’t saying all Hidashi shippers do it and frankly most who do probably aren’t even aware they do it. Like it or not Asian men (and women) are fetishized often, and if the Hamada bros weren’t Asian it probably wouldn’t have as many fans. Since they are Asian they attracted this… Nasty group of fetishizing yaoi obsessed gross weaboos and Fetishization = a form of racism and homophobia. Just cause you aren’t like that doesn’t mean they aren’t out there, and in hoards.

“She’ll be fine,” said Percy as he watched Nico scrubbing the dishes a little too hard. “She’ll be fine!” he said again with a laugh.

“Do you really believe that?” Nico asked. He looked at his husband and quirked an eyebrow.

“Yes! She’s our daughter!” Percy was grinning now. He couldn’t believe how worried Nico was.

“She takes after you,” Nico grumbled and kept scrubbing.

“What does that mean?”

“Nothing, I just distinctly remember someone French kissing me out of the blue on our second date,” Nico said, smirking at Percy.

“Well,” said Percy stepping behind Nico and wrapping his arms around his waist. “You were giving me all the signals.” He gave Nico a little kiss on the side of his neck. “And you liked it.” Nico shivered in his arms and then growled and wriggled free.

“See! She has that! She got her Dad’s cocky attitude and boys are just drawn to her like flies. How are you not worried about this?”

Percy chuckled and leaned back against the counter. “Look, she’s sixteen, she’s beautiful, and we can’t keep her locked up. I’m not worried because she takes after you too. I trust her.”

“I trust her, but she is sixteen and we don’t know anything about this boy, Derek,” said Nico as he put away the last dish and turned around to face Percy. He was tense with his arms crossed and he was practically bouncing from foot to foot.

“Now there’s the real reason why I’m not worried,” Percy said, still grinning. “He’s some mousey little kid. You saw him! She can handle him.”

Nico rolled his eyes and the phone rang. Cellphones were a no-no for demi-gods but landlines were acceptable. Percy reached over and just hit the speakerphone button out of laziness.

“Hello?” he answered.

“Percy!”

“Piper?” he said giving the phone a confused look.

“Jason just told me Andy is on a date with Derek Spencer!”

“Um yeah, what’s the problem?” he said looking exasperated that he had another paranoid adult to reign in.

“You know how I’m the guidance counselor at New Rome High now?”

“Yeah, congrats on landing the job,” said Percy.

“Shh!” Nico shushed him and stared at the phone. “What is it Piper?”

“I’ve had three girls crying in my office because this Derek kid was dating them all at once and they found out!”

Nico and Percy exchanged a panicked look.

“Thanks, Pipes!” Percy and hung up the phone.

“I’m driving,” said Nico, snatching the keys off the counter as Percy followed him out of the door.

So, I just wanted to tell you I just read your 'Can I Clear My Conscience?', and I tell you, I wished it had a review box because I loved it. I want to write an amazing review for an amazing fic because my feels and how well it was written. It was like so awesome and so cute, and so everything, and I hope I'm making the least bit of sense but dude's... it was fantastic. No other words to describe it, fabulous fic that almost makes me switch my OTP alliance from Jasico to Percico. Almost. LOVE!

@jasonluvsnico wrote fanfiction about my OCs. And, as I said before I like making memes about my OCs, even if no one will understand them. 

It’s a little funny bc, i hadn’t realized it before but by Aster Empire standards Sadaf really does look like a boy. She keeps her hair short  (military style), and keeps it uncovered because she doesn’t wear a traditional veil.

Tbh, this is the first time I’ve drawn Sadaf’s eyes, since eye-loss didn’t seem to be a thing in my friend’s AU. It feels kind of unnerving.

Mythology Mugs Masterpost

Last summer I had a conversation with my buddy @mariepintobean about which greek deity we would be descended from (I was reading Percy Jackson for the first time). We also chose the titles of some of our friends. Later I spoke with @jasonluvsnico where we created a much larger list of some of my friends. I didn’t think I would end up making mugs at all, but since mugs were a sort of running joke in our friend group, I decided they might make a cool customized gift.

By the way, each second title is derived from an Ancient Greek dictionary I found online. I’m aware that there are probably errors, but I just thought it was a cool thought. I’m sure in a few years my linguistic friends will get back to me with what I did wrong. 

^ @mariepintobean - I’m a little sad how simple this one is, but hers was the first I made, and I was getting used to the style. 

^ @jasonluvsnico​ - She requested Mars rather than Ares for hers, so I obliged. Apparently, roman statues of mars were painted red in the face, as were conquering generals during parades. I decided to incorporate that, and a lot of red into the design.

^ This guy actually owned goats!

^ I lost my photos of this guy’s mug, alas. If I get him to take pictures of it, I will post it. 

^ I based this one on Ishtar, who was a middle eastern deity who was thought of have been partially the inspiration Aphrodite. Thus, she’s one of the three personifications I gave wings to.

^ @uvgayofficialaccount​ - This guy was a DM for me once, so i decided to include dice in his design.

^ And finally, me! My name is actually Michaela, but i prefer Clare or Oona online. Tbh, I don’t even like Apollo, but I considered this a kind of sorting-hat thing where you get what you get.

More mythology mugs for my irl friends! I didn’t stop with @jasonluvsnico and @mariepintobean -- this year I’ve been trying to make mugs for the entire squad. There will be thirteen in all, if I end up making one for myself. 

I did make the last mug and give it away, but I lost the pictures I took of it and I’m too awkward to ask him to take pictures of the mug for my blog.
