Constantino Parente: Una fiesta sorpresa

Poca sorpresa, como no sea que los toros echen a volar.

Si a un aficionado a los toros ahora mismo le hablan de fiesta sorpresa o la sorpresa en la fiesta, es fácil que piense en una tarta gigante con un alguien dentro saliendo de ella, una montonada de globos cayendo del cielo o en caso de los más jóvenes, el que aparezcan los padres antes de tiempo y den la luz sin avisar; eso sí que era una sorpresa, un sorpresón. Porque en esto de los toros o “tauromaquia”, como gusta decir a los modernos, pocas cosas hay que no puedan ser previsibles, todo está encauzado para que nada quede fuera de control. Si acaso, saber si el maestro de turno cortará dos o dos mil despojos, todo dependiendo si el animalejo se aguanta en pie y le da por bailar la danza del pasimisí, pasimisá taurino.

Empezando por la confección de los carteles, que se repiten y se repiten y se repiten y se… hasta la saciedad, temporada tras temporada y tarde tras tarde. Los figuritas siempre alternando entre ellos con las borricas de siempre, que es con lo que se atreven a salir a poner posturas de “jartista”. Luego está el grupo de los que parece que echan para arriba, la mayoría queriendo acomodarse en el grupo anterior, pero que a la mínima que peguen un tropiezo les mandan al rincón de pensar. Estos con toros que lo mismo pueden complicarte la existencia, que ponerte el cortijo delante casi llave en mano, amueblado y todo. Y luego están los que tragan con lo que les pongan, que bastante tienen con poder tragar, aunque sea con fieras corruptas de las que el salir andando ya es un triunfo de categoría. Así, año tras año y que nadie se atreva a enmendar el guión, que a la próxima ya no sale en la foto.

Que los hay que esperan sorprenderse ya llegados a la plaza, pues que se sienten y esperen, que igual les sale la barba que no tienen y hasta tienen que hacerse tirabuzones para no pisársela. Que parece cosa de brujas, de los duendes del toreo, el que un aficionado acierte sistemáticamente el que tal ganadería va a dar que hablar en los corrales la mañana de corrida, que los pupilos de tal o cual hierro no se van a sujetar en pie y que con suerte, con mucha suerte, lo mismo entre los seis de la corrida se reparten medio puyazo y no sin esfuerzo. De la misma forma que son capaces de adivinar que fulanito o menganito no va a ser capaz de llevar medianamente la lidia. Que dos mantazos de salida y a esperar la hora de la pañosa. Y cuidado, que si no empieza la faena del primero con banderazos por delante y por detrás, lo hará en el segundo. ¡Vaya sorpresa!

Esto del toreo, en la actualidad, en la inmensa mayoría de los casos todo se reduce a que un señor llegue y suelte su repertorio sin el menos miramiento, sin tener en cuenta la salud de los espectadores. Que siempre se había dicho que cada toro tenía su lidia y así fuera el toro, así obraba su matador, pero eso ya es historia. Que sería mucha sorpresa que saliera un toro que no se ajustara a eso de ir y venir, ir y venir y acabar de nuevo yendo y viniendo. El panorama ideal para que los de luces suelten su número gimnástico, su ballet o cómo lo quieran llamar, ensayado una y mil tardes, una y otra vez. ¿Sorpresa? Pues si acaso, que el de luces se ponga a bailar el Moonwalker; a partir de ahí, no esperen mucho más. Y así, año tras año, sin esperar que nada cambie, lo cual sería una grandísima sorpresa. Que no esperen que el relevo que viene por detrás haga otra cosa, porque ellos se entregan sin reservas a emular  a estos modelos, prototipos de la monotonía y del aburrimiento. Eso sí, si a continuación les dicen que eso es arte, no se escandalicen, ni tan siquiera se sorprendan, porque hasta esto entra dentro de lo que muchos llaman hoy “tauromaquia”. Querrán ustedes saber como acabar con este tedio que parece no tener fin y que tampoco tiene remedio. Pues es posible que la solución la tengamos ante nuestras narices, aunque creamos que es un imposible. Simplemente, pongamos al toro en el ruedo, al toro de verdad, no al borrego descastado, al medio toro, al toro mutilado en su integridad, sencillamente el toro, encastado, bravo o manso. Entonces será cuándo pensarán en otras cosas cuándo, hablando de las corridas de toros, les hablen de una fiesta sorpresa.
