After many tedious hours,

Through blood, sweat and tears,

I bring you my best work yet.

Altogether, I’m really happy with how it turned out. I wanted to get as close to how I imagine Jaron as possible. I suspect this will be my last big ascendance series art project with how much time it took. It started out as an elaborate procrastination technique and evolved into an even greater procrastination technique. But ultimately, I’m happy I did this. Twas a bit therapeutic even.

As per usual, there are things I’m not pleased with but nobody is ever happy with their own work and I’ve made peace with that. I don’t do much art so every time I pick up a pencil, be that digital or physical, I struggle to create something to the standards I set for myself. Good thing drawing digitally grants the absolute power of infinite “undo’s”.

That being said, I hope you guys like it as much as I do ❤️

i was just thinking ab how jaron roden and tobias are so soldier, poet, king coded. roden's the soldier, tobias is the poet, and jarons the king. I've seen too many edits perhaps but I miss this series 😭😭

Jaron Eckbert, who thinks faking his death will solve every problem & fakes his death over 193479 times each year, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

Would you look at me going against what I said last time about not making anymore art. This is becoming an issue. 

Obviously this isn’t realism like the last piece was, but nevertheless it took more time than I anticipated. Especially since I’ve never tried this style before and found it, weirdly, much harder than “realism”. It has truly given me an greater admiration for everyone else’s art styles, particularly in this fandom, because of how tough I found emulating those styles.

Anyway, as always, hope you guys like it. I’ve been thinking a lot about the Ascendance Series recently and, on top of that, how sad it is that the fandom is dying yet again. I don’t think I’ve seen it this inactive before. 

But it’s always a comfort to know that even the people who come and go, have left for good or are yet to come, will have found something truly special in the same words in some books that I have.
