Jared getting triggered
I saw a post about Jared and Misha and I agree with it but I don’t want to reblog it for the hateful anon in there. Anyways, I wholeheartedly agree with the response of that post where the person mentioned how much Jared has worked on himself and constantly grown while let’s face it Jensen & Misha have not. Misha Particularly so is still playing his petty games but I digress… The only thing about Jared that I’ve ever found less than is how he let himself get triggered and baited by Misha before. Anything and everything the hellers use against him always has something that Misha started or needlessly escalated beyond harmless joking. Obviously Jared in those years was really struggling with multiple things right from his work load, to being a new father to his mental health challenges. These are not excuses but just reiterating those circumstances.
What I am proud of amongst countless other things is that he has overcome that urge and he now ignores Misha and his pettiness just like Misha & his fans deserve. He never baited them despite enduring the worst bullying from them. So as the said blogger very rightly said, he has improved and worked on himself even here. Misha needs someone to keep him relevant and luckily Jared is not playing that role in any capacity now.

I feel for the cast and crew who got treated like crap with how Walker was cancelled early despite the network making it sound like they were safe. And I feel for the fans who truly connected with the show, and were sad to lose it.
But, if I’m being totally honest, I just couldn’t connect personally with Walker. I thought the cast had great chemistry and it had some episodes that I truly enjoyed, but it just wasn’t for me.
I haven’t seen Fire Country yet, but the descriptions of Jared's character and his potentially getting a spinoff, has me really excited in a way the Walker Texas Ranger reimagining announcement never quite did. It just sounds like something so different from the Jared characters I’ve seen so far. Cordell had his badasss moments, but he was often being talked down to and brow-beaten by many of the characters around him. I would absolutely love to see Jared play this really confident character, who is full of swagger. I hope Camden takes no shit from anyone. I’m so ready to see Jared play somone who isn’t constantly getting kicked in the teeth (Sam will always be my beloved, but he got shit on so much by so many characters and the show itself that it bummed me out at times).
I just feel very real excitement for this role, and I hope Jared likes playing this new character and gets to explore him for a while.
No one was treated well by the new CW. I hope the remaining cast and crew can find success elsewhere.
And I understand about your lack of connection with Walker. Not every show or character connects with every viewer, and that's okay!
Though, if the spin-off goes forward and Jared is the main protagonist, there might be some pain and drama beneath the swagger. That seems to be a common theme amongst protagonists, (not just Jared's characters).
And yes to badass firefighter moments! Bonus points for tight shirts and exercise montages, lol!

Look I get where you are getting at mate, I really do but you need to learn to take things with a grain of salt when it comes to fans tell about any actor interactions they had at cons because they can lie about an actor being an asshole or rude when in reality they weren’t. I’ve seen it happen multiple times. Also you, me and everyone in the fandom don’t actually know Jensen, Jared, Misha or any other actors. We can’t decide what their personality and also just for the record Jared also has plenty of rude asshole moments at cons but I don’t hate him, like I don’t hate Jensen. Everyone is not perfect, Jensen is definitely not perfect, Jared is definitely not perfect, you are definitely not perfect and I am most definitely not perfect but you do not decide an actor’s personality, like I don’t decides Jared’s, I don’t decide Jensen’s and I don’t decide yours and you should as-well learn to sceptical about any negativity about an actor coming from a fan who met them at cons because they could be lying.
Well, mate, none of the examples I shared about Jensen is con experience..None of them are speculative ...these are something that Jensen has actually done in public. And you are absolutely right, You and I don't know any J2 personally, which is why I can judge him, only based on his public behavior.
I also agree that Jared has made mistakes in the past, be it his bar fight or using social media platforms to complain. But the biggest difference between Jared and Jensen is that Jared owns his mistake. He never hides behind others or blames others or acts indifferently. Jensen, on the other hand, has never owned his mistake. He never said sorry. If anything everytime be it, prequel, YANA, or any other issue, he never owned it or apologized for it and blamed others for it. These are some of his greatest hits, and I haven't added others to the list. This is the biggest issue with Jensen. In fact, Jensen tends to narrate his mistakes as some great achievements or incidents. He boast about them and treats it as a sign of being an alpha. In reality, it is the biggest red flag.

Speedy’s Supernatural Watch-through
hey can we all just pretend season 15 doesn’t exist?
I’m on Season 15, Episode 17.
The drop in quality from 14 to 15 is drastic and horrific. Whoever was in charge of the music completely changed the instrumentation of the background music, and instead of classic rock every song used is either like underground indie or country music.
I don’t want to critique the acting because that is unfair, the actors were working with a god awful script, but at times it feels like the actors are genuinely giving up. It gets better later in the season, but Jared in early season 15 is…struggling. Again, mainly the script’s fault.
Also just grave mischaracterizations. Since when does Dean not consider Jack family? They spend most of the last 2 seasons showing Dean getting closer to Jack and seeing him as more than just Lucifer’s son, yet when Jack has to sacrifice himself, suddenly “Jack’s not family.”?
There are things about this season I appreciate, mainly Jensen’s acting choices when interacting with Castiel, as well as…everything Alexander Calavert does cause he’s great.
I’m also deeply upset by the way they treat Dean, especially people outside of TFW interacting with him. Dean is still an attractive guy, Jensen looks incredible now at 46, and he did in 2020 too. And yet whenever Dean’s on a job, people treat him like he’s super freaking old and unattractive. Just feels like a giant fucking insult to one of the most attractive men in hollywood.
All in all, this feels like a grave misrepresentation of a show I’ve adored for months now, and I hope that if they do a season 16, they will fix some of the glaring issues with the plot.

Jared’s Acting
Sam is my favorite and I don’t think that Jared Padalecki is a bad actor by any means. He’s capable of some the most incredible performances on supernatural (My favorites are everything from when the levee breaks, 15x20, s8 with sick sam and sacrifice, season 6 with soulless Sam and hell Sam from 6x22, S7 Sam, prophet and loss, Sam’s confrontation with Lucifer in beat the devil.) But I don’t really know why but his performance in a 15 feels kind of off. I feel like towards the later seasons the material for Sam had gotten much thinner unfortunately (although I will fight you if you say Sam has no depth or development in the later seasons.) so there’s not as much to work with compared to before. And after playing a character for so long, it’s natural too get tired. But I wasn’t really bothered by his acting at all in 12-14, but strangely in 15 I feel like the ticks and mannerisms that Jared uses to express Sam become a little too pronounced and repeated even for me. However, He still managed to deliver one of my favorite scenes in 15x17, and it never fails to make me cry.
I’ve been watching a couple of clips from Walker and the ticks of stuttering are lot more noticeable than even compared to s15. I kind of can’t help think that playing the same character kind of made his acting skill stagnate somewhat (Tbh, I think that stagnation was a bit of a problem that even Jensen and Misha toward the later seasons. They also had some habits they picked up). I think that Jared is at his best with really dynamic emotional moments and he’s a great character actor. I’m not sure I’m using the right term but when he plays other versions of Sam or other characters, he always manages to convey their differences so well in just the way he holds his face. He’s also great with comedy (swap meat and mystery spot anyone?) And while I love his Sam Winchester, I do wish he got to develop these strengths of his more and branch out to other areas. But Walker sort of seems like a sort of just an average nice kind guy and that role doesn’t seem like it would really push or challenge him to grow as an actor.
TLDR: I still think of him as a good actor but I would love and think that it would be good for him to try some roles really different from stuff he’s done before. Tbh I would really like to see him play more villains. (Soulless Sam and Lucifer Sam were incredible.)

It was so sad also for me. I was a heavy Dean fan and also a big of Jensen. I didn't even care about Sam/Jared for years. But the prequelgate really opened my eyes.
Literally me. When I found out about the prequelgate it really changed my opinion on him, and then you look back at older videos of panels and whatnot of him and just second guess everything, like his demeanour has never been that great, it gives off shallow and a little bit self-entitled (especially that pink race car story). His fandom is also psychotic and a massive turnoff. Deffo a Sam/Jared girl now.

So I talked about this previously with @loregirlsam and @small-scale-majestic, but would anyone be interested in a series of posts associating each Jared character with a breed of dog? It would mostly be all the variations of Sam for my son mutuals but would also include Jared’s other characters that I’m familiar with such as Dean Forester and Cordell Walker.

jensen did jared so dirty by not including him in the spinoff :(
not even talking about their fallout or whatever
but the money is SAM AND DEAN
and jared holds the show so deep in his heart and to be left out of the winchesters must have shattered him man.
he said in interviews all the time he doens’t want the spn final to be a goodbye to Sam. he looked so hopeful for a reboot or a movie and jensen went and produced a whole spinoff without even telling his co-star pfffff
why did jensen do it im sorry i just don’t understand is jared really so awful to work with? that he must be excluded from his own shows spin off?

Omg you were at the jibcon!! I'm so jealous!
To set all the people straight who weren't there, how good was the Jared and Misha panels?! Did you feel any awkwardness or offence taken when Jared demonstrated his tackle of Misha?
I've read so much crap online from the cockles side and after watching the videos, I can't believe how skewed the stories have been!!
The panel was really, really great. And anyone who knows me knows that I'm not the biggest Misha fan. But I truly, genuinely enjoyed that panel. I loved Jared's and Misha's interactions. I did not feel any awkwardness. What I saw were just two friends having fun together. When Jared tackled Misha, he used a bit too much power, I think he miscalculated a bit. I could see Misha being taken by surprise and not getting on board with what Jared was aiming for fast enough, so he started to fall backwards. But Jared realised that and actually took hold of him and brought them both down in kind of a controlled fall. I could see Jared's face clearly, when they were both down, because I was standing off to that side, almost at the microphone to ask a question, and Jared made the exact same expression Justin!Sam was making in that scene. That painful "I am happy here"-grin. And Misha was acting along. They clearly re-created this scene, and in this scene Sam tackles Cass, that's what happens.
But I also knew the moment I saw it, that hellers would use that to hate on Jared.
One thing I realised last jib already and that got only confirmed at JiB 11 with Jared present is, that the reason I almost dislike Misha at times are hellers. (NOT DESTIEL SHIPPERS IN GENERAL! Only those people who bring so much hate into the fandom.) I genuinely enjoyed Misha alongside Jared. And in retrospect I have to say, he's making the same NSFW jokes he's making with Jensen with Jared. That's just him, and it's funny, and Jared is playing along. And Jensen is too, to an extent. But much less than Jared, because everything that happens between Jensen and Misha gets so much blown out of proportion, and Jensen has to be so much more careful. And that is the reason I don't like Misha making innuendos regarding himself and Jensen or Cass and Dean, but to be fair to him, he's doing the same with Jared/Sam. And Jared is doing it too. I think if there wasn't so much drama and hate going round in fandom spaces, I would even enjoy his panel with Jensen the same. (That panel was good, too, actually.) But as it is, I'm constantly thinking "how is that going to be interpreted?", and that dampens the joy somewhat.
I've met so many Misha fans and destiel shippers at JiB, though, who were genuinely nice and chill, and we were gushing about Jared together in his photo op lines, and I was happy for their amazing Misha experiences, and they were crying with me over my Sam and Dean photo OP. So I can only repeat what I said after last JiB: fandom drama and hate is mostly online. At conventions it's just a great atmosphere and everyone is happy with and for everyone.
And to conclude: I only heard laughter and screams of joy from the audience when Jared tackled Misha. No one booed or anything. The mood was great in the panel room.

To the anon in my inbox, this is for you.
Firstly, I am not making anything up to praise Jared. He is effing brilliant. There are thousands of accounts from people saying that even his haters. Just say you are jealous and move on.
The fact that Jensen can be rude is something I've seen in panels myself and people who met him have corroborated very recently as well. Just check my blog there are numerous instance of how tone deaf he can be which he gets away with without even a blip of criticism.
Also, People hold Jared accountable - don't come at me with that lie ever again. I can see that you are one of those people/haters as well and I want to tell you that all of you are the biggest hypocrites out there. One of the recent examples of your bullshit is the copaganda narrative which is now gone coz it's Jensen.
Further Misha says the most horrid shit every other week and then posts a Castiel Gif and all is forgotton. So stow with your lecture, I am not in the mood. Jared being incredible and better than the other two is my truth, if it hurts you block and move on.

https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/the-boys-supernatural-jared-padalecki-eric-kripke-1236014798/
Another interview with Kripke saying he wants Jared on. And this is new, like today new (they said they talked to him Thursday - aka today - and that Walker "was canceled earlier this week" and it was only cancelled Tuesday so this is a brand new interview).
I love this little bit with them excited because Jared was on GG!!:
Kripke was speaking with Variety ahead of “The Boys” Season 4 premiere, in an interview alongside “The Boys” actors Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett) and series newcomers Susan Heyward (Sister Sage) and Valorie Curry (Firecracker) — who were all very on board with the Padalecki casting conversation. “As a childhood fan of ‘Gilmore Girls,’ I would also vote for that,” Minifie said. “That would be great.” Curry added: “Same! Same! Second that.” “OK, all right, the crowd has spoken!” Kripke declared, which hopefully seals the deal for Padalecki.
Boy, Kripke's really not letting the news of Walker's cancellation slow him down. I know it's just another day in Hollywood, but for a lot of cast and crew members, they no longer have jobs. A little tact and time would be nice (not that I expect the showrunner for The Boys to employ that).
I guess he's really trying to push now before Jared gets signed on to another project, likely because he knows Jared is a hot commodity right now, though I'd be curious to know if the interviewers are asking him about Jared or if he's mentioning him unprompted.
I do worry though, that with Kripke being this vocal about getting Jared on The Boys, if Jared turns him down, he's going to look like a jerk that wouldn't let Kripke have his complete set. Kripke's putting Jared in basically a 'can't refuse' situation. Though, if Jared really doesn't want to do it, I trust his ability to side-step the invitations tactfully (as he's done so far).
I will say, I do appreciate that Kripke call's him the "...one big one - very big one..." It makes it seem like Jared's the Holy Grail of SPN alumni (which he is, lol).
And also, lol at the GG fan from the cast!

GUYS…is this a bad pic or did something weird happen to Jared’s face? Almost like he got injections or too much time in the O2 Chamber perhaps?? Jensen seems to be aging really well. Misha looks older but it seems organic.

Just a theory..but what if YES at first jensen thought the"love story of mary and john" was gonna be the golden ticket.. BUT after THAT hit the fan...the "jivorce",... the second hand cringe.., and the (omg-really!!?!?👀) realization that Dean is only a winning formula WITH Sam...maybe(🙏🏿🙏🏿) the season finale of TW will be a segway of Dean closing out the mary and john chapter..he pulls to the side of the road and SAM hops into the passenger side😭 and FINALLY the Sam&Dean revival kicks off!!!😍😍 or or or...the mary and john shitcom is still off the table BUT the season finale is Dean pulling onto the road to start his journey to find Sam and finally figure out why the FUCK he hasn't been around the whole time in the GD first place🙄
.....
I dunno...or maybe TW IS just a retcon shit show that no one ever wanted..and jensen really did just break our hearts and do us dirty in the end😔
