Butsumokuji (佛木寺) sits quietly in Uwajima, Ehime, welcoming pilgrims along the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage. This sacred place is dedicated to Dainichi Nyorai (大日如来), the cosmic Buddha of boundless wisdom.

These images capture the temple’s serene atmosphere. The intricate wooden carvings and traditional tiled roofs stand against lush greenery, embodying the harmony of Buddhist architecture. A Jizō statue, adorned with offerings, watches over the site. Jizō (地蔵) is a guardian of children and travelers, often seen with bibs and toys left by visitors praying for protection.

📸法然院庭園（京都市左京区）② Honenin Temple Garden, Kyoto ——2023年は今週末から。毎年4月1日〜7日に特別拝観が実施される、哲学の道からすぐ近くの浄土宗開祖・法然上人の名を冠する寺院。 季節ごとの“白砂壇”だけでなく特別拝観では桃山時代の方丈建築や襖絵、そして方丈庭園が見どころ。 そして今回の特別拝観から、作庭家・Marc Peter Keane（マーク・ピーター・キーン）による新たにコンテンポラリーな枯山水庭園が登場！ ———————— 法然院に2023年に新たに誕生したのがアメリカ出身の日本人作庭家・Marc P. Japanese Architecture Joinery in Rhino 8 with Display Settings, Layouts, and Dimension Styles.

This video course covers how to model one of my favorite Japanese joints, Miyajima Tsugi, or the triple faced halved rabbeted scarf joint in Rhino 3D. We cover basic commands like polyline, line, divide, array, and multiple surface commands. We then create display settings in Rhino to create a wood hatch aesthetic diagram, insert materials, adjust lineweights, create dimensions, views, layouts, and print settings.
