Derek listened to the rabbiting heart of his intended over the white noise of the heater.  Tracked the sudden movement of his Adam’s apple, a handsbreadth from where he'd left the nascent claim. If — when — Stiles accepted, he would bite again and spill blood.  

He couldn't bear to wait for the Announcement and Procession and all that nonsense. 

Drawing closer, his nostrils flared as nervousness and arousal permeated the bedroom. He reached out, softly kissing and then stroking a trembling hand.

"Will you have me, Mieczysław?" 

Thankfully, Stiles wasn’t upset by the presumptuous use of his secret, human name. 

"Yes."

When will the theme for January be released? is there a prompt list or something you follow?

Dear anon,

Thank you for your question. A new theme will be released about 10 days/one week before the start of the next month. We don’t have a list of prompts we follow, but we assign a prompt to a pair of creators that have signed up (reblog the theme post in order to sign up). creators are free to do with the prompt what they want; the more important thing to have fun with it. This year we did something different for the last month in that there was a list of prompts to choose from, for next month we will again assign prompts.

March to Camelot: an arthurian palette challenge for march 2024

When: March 1st to 31st Rules: The objective is to try to draw something Arthurian inspired by each word prompt using the palette provided. This could be anything from a full illustration to a character design. You have 5 days to complete each prompt, except for the last prompt where you get 6 days. Why: I've been running a B5 palette challenge over on my fanart blog for the past couple of years and thought it'd be fun to do something similar with Arthurian Legend, even if it ended up just being me doing it. :') Finally, remember to tag your work #march to camelot or @ me so I can reblog and share your work. Some process pics! Thought I had taken way more, but no!!

This is the base colors for the arena all laid out, with the lines turned off (for the lines i very much did find a good, clear photo of Amalie Arena, stretched the angles to where i wanted them, and traced that shit)

Shadows and color sections (I'm realizing the jump from the first pic to this one is very "draw the owl.") Nothing except the ground is textured yet, but every area is fully distinct now.

Finished background!! Details and textures have been added, logos are on, I'm so fucking proud of it!

After this and after the figure was colorblocked in, I went back and made a ton of color adjustments to the bg to make to all cohere. Tbh, I didn't really enjoy that part and it took a lot of trial and error. I think the next time I do a large architecture piece I'll try to have the colors more in line with the color scheme from the start, rather than basing the initial colors off of my reference pic. Hope you enjoy!

since i havent posted anything gaster related in, well, idk how long but its been a long time, i decided to prolly to give an update thats been in my au for awhile but i never actually posted abt it for some reason

so instead of two gasters now theres three. Rather than following the alternative gaster route it relates more to the shard theory now. Heres some concept art i drew recently

One shard is “Aster” (first; renamed Aster because just calling him wingdings got kinda old and confusing)  and while he has a shard in their soul his body is a physical vessel part of the game (aka hes like a normal lightner that can interact w/ both light and dark world. I refrain from calling it the “real world” cuz the point of utdr is that its a game). He doesnt know this though and has no prior memories after “waking up” for the first time in the game, but they know something is up and thinks the dark worlds has something to do with it (hence why he is holding experiments relating to them). He sucks major ass though cuz he doesnt think of them or darkners as “real” and treats them as such bcuz he doesnt think their actions hold major consequences when interacting w/ darkners/darkworlds 

Second shard (middle) is currently unnamed (tho that may change) and is half physical and half part of the void (but how physical its body is fluctuates). He knows their reality is a game and is pretty content with that. He barely remembers his previous life but doesnt question it — he knows he just is, not what, why, or how. Because of that, he doesnt care what people call him because it doesnt matter much in the grand scheme of things. While knowledgable in many things, he also easily forgets things too as he sometimes has trouble recalling certain things. He also doesnt entirely understand emotions, but it knows he likes seeing or making living things happy so he is often kind to others. He is also well intentioned and genuine, but sometimes doesnt understand what may be good for others to hear. Because of this, he is willing to casually share with others the knowledge that the world is a game to the few people who know its existence, but doesnt recognize that this may be scary information to some. It is also the same gaster that convinced Jevil the world is a game.

Third one and last shard is also nameless (again, this may change) and completely part of the void—meaning, in the light and dark world he doesnt exist, but can still visit them. He cannot interact w/ anything, though, which he finds frustrating esp when observing the other two gasters. He has more memories of his previous life than the second gaster, but its still few as well as scattered—most of the time he cant make sense of them, which is also frustrating. His form is also never constant, but he struggles w/ coping with the inconsistency of his body so he tries to form like the other two gasters whenever he can to maintain his sense of self. He also knows the world is a game (for obvious reasons) but still recognizes that consequences that occur in the game have weight — whether negative or positive. As such, he has a stronger sense of judgement and morality when it comes to others but cannot act upon the majority of things because he barely exists — which is also something hes frustrated with; because he cant interact w/ the world, he concludes he’s incapable of guiding or helping others. The only other being he can actually communicate w/ is the second gaster, he later finds out though; as a result, he often sticks to hanging out with the second gaster for company and also because seeing Aster’s actions make him feel sick. Additionally, he feels a weird sense of kinship with lightners and darkners for some reason — but especially darkners. He sorta almost sees them as his children, but doesnt entirely know why.

Wow I just put my blog's theme back on its normal one and. I forgot how nice it looked. Also Don't worry, I won't subject you all to full blown Christmas time.. yet.

Draw every day for the month of January and see how much you improve. There are game boards to keep you motivated and themes to keep you inspired!

On January 1st, everybody creates their board they will fill out as the month goes on. The board can be as simple or as fancy as you’d like. Alternatively, feel free to use one of the ones provided – you can print it out or add to it digitally. Or feel free to skip the board, idgaf.

The challenge starts for real at 12:01am EST January 2nd, when I’ll post a list of 6 different themes. Create something inspired by one (or more) of those themes! Alternatively, if you don’t find any of that day’s themes inspiring, every person starts the game with 3 each of 3 different passes:

3 freebie passes (black), where you skip the day completely with no consequences

3 finish/improve passes (green), where you revisit an earlier piece from this challenge in order to finish or improve it

3 tutorial passes (blue), where you find a tutorial of your choice and follow it to learn something new

After you create your piece for the day (or use your pass), mark the day complete in your board – write in the theme you did, post a thumbnail of the art, etc. The goal is to have a full board at the end of the challenge! 30 days of improvement in your art.

The themes are more geared toward visual artists, but I try to make them accessible to artists of all different media, including written word, music, etc. Feel free to use any media, in any combination, that you’d like! Artists of all skill levels are invited to participate, from complete beginners to professionals. There is no judgement or even critique.

The day’s work doesn’t have to be a finished piece, but try to produce at least a sketch study (or equivalent) every day. You can take this as seriously or as casually as you’d like, I want to inspire you to improve!

I think Alfred likes pretty much all the holidays, but he's definitely a "Thanksgiving first, then Christmas!" type of person. Suzie on the other hand is already wishing people a "Happy [insert holiday here]" and putting a small plush turkey/Christmas tree on her desk as soon as leaves start turning brown
