Golden Trio of Tennis ⭐️🎾 - Order of the Phoenix

Note: I think I might have gone crazy with these headcanons . Excuse me😂 If you have any ideas on what I should do next, drop me a DM!

Dark times. Fear is running high. Everyone has different ways to deal and manage with their emotions. Including our trio.

Carlos

Carlos is passionate 3000% in fighting back. He makes it known to everyone that he’s a rebel. That has gotten him into a lot of trouble.

The back of his hand is badly scarred as he exits Umbridge’s office for the sixth time this week. But he’s already planning the next revolt.

It’s brutal on the Qudditch Pitch. The Slytherins are out for Alcaraz’s blood. He almost had a bludger taking out his head.

So he sends a well aimed bludger to their Keeper and that’s how he got disqualified from the match.

Carlos rarely gets mad. He’s usually the happy go lucky one that shines brighter than the sun. But there are always exceptions.

Like now as he chucks his broom aside and glares at Umbridge for that decision.

That’s how he ended up in her office for the seventh time.

His scars are starting to become worse and Carlos cannot simply ignore it.

Jannik. But security is much higher now since Umbridge took over.

Wait a minute…

The golden retriever limps towards the Ravenclaw tower and waits outside until someone from the house sees him.

A second year boy ends up scooping the injured dog into his arms and informs Jannik about it. (Yes, they know that this Golden belongs to Jannik. Or at least comes to look for Jannik every single time)

Jannik

Jannik was deep into his potions assignment when the boy comes. He can’t believe his eyes.

Sweet, mild tempered Jannik could feel his rage bubbling in his stomach. That foul b-

He forces himself to cool down quickly to prepare the potion for the injuries from his diminishing potions kit.

He puts it in a dish and coaxes dog Carlos to drink it. But the dog only whines and crawls into his lap.

“Carlos… you have to drink it.” Jannik is weak at the sight of his friend who usually is so full of energy. But Carlos just wants to sleep.

So Jannik puts him on a pillow, wrapped in his Ravenclaw scarf.

He’s not as vocal as Carlos about disagreeing with Umbridge’s methods. But he does it in his own way by studying so much harder since Defense classes are literally a joke.

Somehow with Umbridge’s presence, students whose parents have been associated with Death Eaters get 1000% cockier. Jannik doesn’t give a shit though.

Some 7th year Slytherin tried to hex Jannik while he wasn’t paying attention but Jannik was too quick for him, hexing him right back with a jelly leg jinx.

WITHOUT being caught by Umbridge.

Because he also hexed the Slytherin’s big mouth.

Never, ever cross Jannik. He’s quiet but he’s a deadly fighter. When you hurt his friends, he’ll give it back to you tenfold.

And this time, someone has his back.

Holger

Although he’s from Slytherin, he’s almost if not even more reckless than Carlos and Jannik combined.

He openly talks back to Umbridge about her teaching methods and she can’t do anything about it.

Now this is where it gets funny.

Every evening, Holger would turn into his Animagus form, and find a way to sneak into Umbridge’s office when she’s away and take a piss on her desk, seat and on every surface that’s possible.

Ooooh the way Umbridge was seething during morning breakfast, Holger couldn’t help but to snicker.

During one DADA lesson, Holger’s retort had rendered her speechless.

“Cat got your tongue, Professor?”

Umbridge knows that Holger has something to do with this. She doesn’t understand why the child from an esteemed pure blood family would join those filthy half breeds and m*dbloods

Carlos is sitting beside Holger, having recovered from his injuries. He gives a happy Holger a fist pump under the table.

Yeah… Holger’s probably planning what to do next to terrorize that good for nothing woman. If it means that Carlos is back to his old self again.

to answer your wonderful question I feel like some irl sincaraz context might be nice! ;) so let me start there! ;)) I love to completely read asks and not make assumptions!!! ;)))))

SO!! sincaraz. the main players are: carlos alcaraz, 21, spanish, SUUUPER smiley, baby-faced beautiful muscular delight of a human

and jannik sinner, 22, italian, carrot-topped stoic-faced bambi-legged carrot-cult runner

they are both next-gen (new gen??) tennis players, i.e. coming after the era of the "Big Three" — Nadal, Federer, and Djokovic. Carlos was an immediate and breathtaking wunderkind, ranked in the top 35 male players by 18 and beat both Nadal and Djoko at a masters 1000 (his second masters 1000 title) in 2022 like. three days after his 19th birthday. already wild!! THEN he goes on to win the US Open same year!! he finishes 2022 the youngest ever no. 1 ranked ATP player and goes on to win a bunch more titles in 2023 including Wimbledon where he beats Djokovic in a fucking inCREDible match (I watched 30 minutes of that in the pouring rain and then had to escape to a cafe where I made them turn on the tv and had the best day of my life lmao)

carlos initially appears to be very much of the max verstappen mold, i.e. a nerd, fairly single-minded, incredibly talented, seemingly breaking the rules of physics at times. basically by the end of 2023 he's the Guy To Beat, plus everyone loves to watch him ... he's got style and variety and power and he LOVES the game, he smiles the whole time, he has FUN, he's just!! a joy to watch!! he's the elephant in the room at every tournament, he's the "future of tennis," and nobody can talk about anybody else.

Except Carlos.

Because Carlos talks about Jannik.

It's very funny that carlos talks about jannik so much at this point!! like, it's a point of discussion how many times carlos brings jannik up in conversation. very much 'hyping my friend up' vibes. 'oops talked about my crush again' vibes. because Jannik is sort of .. following? carlos at this moment? He's doing well, but he's a year older and only starting to get to the same level of matches as carlos, even as carlos does it himself. (there's a funny clip of jannik making it to the semifinals at wimbledon and the on-court interviewer says: "youngest to do it since 2007!" and jannik says, "yeah but carlos..." and sure enough carlos immediately went on to steal that honor and, in fact, win the tournament lmao)

and also people just aren't talking about jannik in the same way! his tennis isn't as immediately interesting to watch as carlos's because he doesn't come to the net as much, he likes to play from the baseline. also he isn't as reliable as he should be, esp on serve, for somebody not taking those alcaraz-esque risks up the court. but— when he's on he's ON: super clean strokes, super powerful, and he has really excellent movement for somebody so tall. beautiful, dependable backhand. Still, not everyone is like. entranced by jannik in the way they are by carlos. i remember listening to a Tennis Podcast episode as jannik was starting to get serious momentum through the top of the atp rankings and be considered a real next-gen challenge for carlos (for reasons I'll get to) but otherwise kind of flying under the radar, and one of them (Catherine lol) said something along the lines of "I don't really see what other people are seeing in sinner, he leaves me cold, I just don't really like watching him". (Which is SO funny to me. I saw one sinner match in 2021 (miami) and thought "this guy's MINE" lmao)

BUT! by the end of 2023 jannik actually has a winning head-to-head with carlos which is unusual enough to remark on, ALSO, they have a series of incredibly interesting and thrilling matches under their belts.

They meet for the first time in 2021 in Paris, (well on the atp tour anyway. they also met in this challenger match, they're 15 and 17 respectively and so cute and dorky). in paris the match is great, they both seem to have fun, but what's really lovely (and important for The Lore) is that after the match —which Carlos wins— Jannik leans in real close and intimate and says: "I hope we play some more" and Carlos gets uhh. SO supremely happy about it. in his on court interview he says "we will both be in the top" which!! prescient...

From that 2021 meeting they go on to have banger match after banger match, namely the quarterfinals at the US Open in 2022 (which Carlos won) and an insane Indian Wells match in 2023 (which Jannik won). what's really special is that you can see how push-and-pull they are with each other: they learn from each other, they play their best against each other, jannik's tennis is more interesting against carlos, carlos is really tested with his movement against jannik, like he can't just run him around. THIS is why carlos can't shut up about jannik. they play CRAZY tennis against each other, and both of them have FUN. guaranteed good match-up, everyone rooting it for it in every tournament. so even though people aren't talking about JANNIK in the same way as they're talking about carlos, they're definitely talking about the combination they make on court. As is. Carlos. :)))

so if you're delusional like me this is when you start to think about the Shipping Narrative ... like.... look at this....

LOOK AT THAT DOUBLETAKE. insane... and the rivalry they have going at this point... carlos's obsession with jannik ... jannik still trying to measure up to carlos... I mean!! think of the potential ! they are talked about in relation with each other at ALL times (if people aren't talking about carlos v djoko, anyway) and they are nothing but sweet about it.

they're also so cute TT_TT the brain rot begins ... the ship name is formed ... sincaraz is here to stay

okay. So. at the end of 2023 jannik goes through a life changing experience.

he pukes in a bin.

this happens in beijing in Oct 2023, in a match he played against grigor dimitrov. he's looking BAD all match, clearly unwell, and then during one of the changeovers he asks for a bin to be brought out and uh. well. see above

he stands back up, looks a lot better, goes on to win the match and then immediately goes on an INSANE run of victories. this tweet pretty much sums it up but he essentially looks unbeatable for the next five months. he beats djoko three times, only gets beaten by him once. he wins his only match-up with carlos. he wins against a bunch of other top 10 players on his way to several titles. he beats medvedev FOUR TIMES (who was ranked 3rd in oct 2023, currently ranked 5th, sorry meddy :// ) . he wins the AUSTRALIAN FUCKING OPEN.

this is the post-puke sinner era. he wins 16 matches in a row, an astonishing run, and he just. Looks. So. Good. He barely dropped a set to get to the australian open final (one, to djoko) and he is playing beautiful —stunningly beautiful— tennis. his serve is FIXED. now HE is the only person anybody can talk about. new future of the atp, people are WATCHING. his carrot fan club is going insane. who can beat him??? when he looks THIS GOOD??

yup. of course. carlos beats jannik at Indian Wells to defend his own title from 2022, ending Jannik's winning streak and cementing the rivalry for a lot of people: i.e. even at jannik's best, even when carlos is in a bit of a slump, carlos still throws jannik for a loop. it's NOT that interesting of a match overall, honestly, although some great points and a tournament beset with Problems, including ... bees!!! what's most interesting about this match imo is the several lovely moments of sincaraz we got from it, some jumping around together beforehand, jannik doing some fairly atypical showing of emotion, and the famous walking off together during the rain delay (rivals don't really do that???) They're just so cute the whole time, a beautiful day for tennisblr tbh. jannik can be so STOIC and carlos just!! brings out the boy in him!!!!!!!!!

jannik goes on to win the other half of the sunshine double, at miami (does not face carlos to do so), making them the SUNSHINE DOUBLE BOYS and deservedly so.

and that pretty much catches you up on the basics of sincaraz!! basically they are each adorable individually, they are adorable together, and they have a chewy fucking rivalry building that EVERYONE is enjoying rn. tbh my ship manifesto gets a lot less fun from here on account of some inane-making thoughts re: the (un)requited & one-sided nature of this ship but let me rec some fics real fast:

okay so as f1 drivers

first of all, they HAVE to be in the mclaren car, obviously. to me they are an obvious mctwinks parallel: clearly friends, very compatible, same age, but with some fun mentor/mentee dynamics thrown in

Carlos gets signed first, very young — the lando equivalent! he has maybe one or two teammates before jannik but they're all older and it just doesn't exactly click. he likes everyone, even gets along well with them (as well as the rest of the grid!) but he's not quite at home yet. not helped by the fact that he's in one of the fastest cars on the grid, and wins WDC in his rookie year! (maybe helped out a bit by a few djoko DNFs ... I feel like that could be equivalent to djoko being out of some major matches in 2021/2022 for novax reasons) anyway carlos gets an aura which makes it hard to connect w the others, maybe. he's a lil lonely!!!

Jannik gets signed a year later and they click as a teammate pair pretty well. I see a VERY similar trajectory as landoscar: carlos is much more comfortable with the press, knows the team really well, shoulders much of the burden of marketing etc. Jannik comes in to a team that has a fave driver already, but he's ALSO a good driver, and carlos likes him so so so sosososo much, so the team welcomes him with open arms. At first he performs okay... not great... he has a slower learning curve. He's improving, but incrementally. he and carlos get closer as they share tips about the car and training etc.

Then one day he pukes in a bin. this part is essential. HOW it happens doesn't matter ... he gets food poisoning?? heatstroke??? doesn't matter, who cares, the point is, this is his turning point in terms of hoisting himself up the driver rankings. He starts making it into the top five drivers every race, gets some podiums, wins his first race. carlos is RIGHT THERE NEXT TO HIM. they celebrate together !! they kiss that very night!!!!!!

now they are fighting for WDC. things get tense. this is where I have to stop I get too anxious LMAOO anyway!!

so those are my broadstrokes headcanon re: how would sincaraz work as f1 drivers. I do think about it quite a lot ....... they all live in my brain now probs forever 🤪🤪 sorry to make you read all that. maybe you didn't lol but ENJOY ANYWAY AND THANKS FOR THE ASK ILYYYYYY <3 <3 <3

Headcanons or ideas that come to your mind when you think about Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Carlos Alcaraz? I know this is so random, but maybe you have OTPs regarding them? Headcanons about rituals or favourite past time activities?

oh, i love this!! let’s see:

I mean, I don’t have an OTP but rather many pairings that I love, you know I ship Stef with Daniil and I ship him with Feli and speaking about Feliciano, short headcanons:

Stef has never been so in love in his life like he is with Feliciano. He got the full package: butterflies in the stomach, romantic daydreams, the “Oh my god, how do I look?! Do you think this outfit is ok for the dinner with Feli?!” and there is this stupid smile on his face whenever he sees the Spaniard.

When they finally got together Feli was already a very important person in Stefanos’ life. Before every match Feliciano texts Stef an encouraging message with a “Te amo xx” at the end of the text. Before Stefanos’ match against Taylor Fritz during the Australian Open Stef didn’t get a text from Feli and he was very confused and worried about it, he couldn’t focus on the game bc he didn’t understand why Feli didn’t text him like he always did. “Did I do something wrong? Is he angry with me?!”. After the match it turned out that Stef just didn't have a signal and that's why he didn't get the message.

I don’t ship Carlos with anyone (yet) but I'm curious who I'll ship him with. But no matter who it’s gonna be Ferrero would be the one with the “If you hurt him, we have a problem, you understand? Don’t you dare to hurt him!” talk.  

I have the feeling that Jannik is the best boyfriend ever.

“i tried to save that game, i really did. but your boyfriend’s serve is just unbelievable, right?” taylor fritz’s voice came muffled to your ears, bringing yourself back to reality. “i’m so sorry, could you repeat that?” you tried to apologize for your rudeness and jannik, sitting next to you, laughed to himself. to warn him you gave him a small pat on the shoulder gaining another light laugh from him.

“i was just talking about how good your boyfriend is at tennis.” he laughed too, taking a sip of his wine nonchalantly. you chuckled at his words, relieving the tension. “what do you think?” he asked you, morgan’s eyes following you as you drunk from your own glass. “yeah, what do you think?” you boyfriend asked you repeating taylor’s words with a shit eating smirk on his face, his hands suddenly gripping the flesh of you upper thigh under your linen skirt.

“what were you trying to do earlier?” that was a rethorical question, you both knew very well what he was doing and even better what he wanted to do. and you could see it in his eyes that he was having fun, he was enjoying it. “what do you think, huh?” he asked you back, his lips now almost touching yours, trapping you between the wall and his own body.

“we can’t.” you placed a hand right on his face as to stop him. “what did you told them anyway?” “that i needed to park the car or something, i don’t remember.” he sounded so calm and relaxed, you hated him when he acted like that.

“c’mon, ten minutes.” smiling boldly he begged you, taking a strand of your hair in his hand, twirling it over his fingers. he was towering over your body, looking down at you while his red hair fell beautifully on his face. one of his hands found place on your hip, caressing your flesh under your skirt’s material and sending shivers down your spine.

“five.” you finally gave in, rolling your eyes back at his insistence and demanding that single word like it was a sentence. you thought he didn’t want to lose any time with you, his hands were quick as they started to undress you, leaving your top fall onto the ground, followed by your skirt as well. his lips took place on your neck, kissing and biting your skin gently, leaving some red marks that would’ve been very evident once you were going to be back to the table.

where was the bold guy, unable to wait to touch his girlfriend now? it was like he was scared to touch you even knowing damn well that since you had such little time that he should’ve made the best of it. but there he was, taking his time with you, kissing your boiling skin as you two had an eternity of time. “jan…” you tried to say, panting for air when you felt him gently nibble at your earlobe. “they’re gonna get suspicious.” your panties suddenly slipped down, now resting between your knees. the sudden contact with the cold air made you shiver and your walls clenched around nothing, looking for some sort of relief.

“i’m from a family of cooks, babe. i know what i’m talking about, and believe me if i say that if we add 250 gr of flour instead of 200 nothing bad is gonna happen.” he has always had a particular way of saying things, so hypnotizing that you could never say no to him, especially when his eyes briefly fixed on yours and then moved away, returning to the bowl full of sugar and butter he held in his hands.

“fine.” you finally gave in, rolling your eyes to mask your weakness for him that showed when he acted like that. “but i swear to god, jannik, if it ends up being shit…” you warned him, pointing a finger to his face. he smiled and placed a small, sweet kiss on your temple, then took the flour and added it to the bowl while you looked at his movements carefully.

after mixing everything, your boyfriend took a small cake pan and poured the contents inside. his face was so focused that you could see little wrinkles on his forehead due to his effort, and to keep his focus he had his tongue between his lips, looking so cute to your eyes.

“done, it will be delicious.” he said as he finished filling the cake pan with batter, before proceeding to place a small kiss on your head and move away from the table to make room for you, as he knew how much you enjoyed decorating desserts and especially this cake, which you decided to make to celebrate him being the new world n.1, so you couldn’t mess it up. it had to be perfect.

while your hands worked the surface of the cake, covering it with sprinkles and chocolate chips, you suddenly felt a grip on your hips but, once you looked down, you realized that they were only jannik's arms that were now resting on your waist, holding you gently to his body that towered over yours. he nuzzled his face in the crook of your neck, inhaling your scent like he always did, making you giggle. “c’mon…” you whispered, still a hint of fun in your voice.

“what?” he asked, gripping on you tighter. you were on the verge of speaking while you suddenly felt his lips on your neck and you froze instantly, closing your eyes. “jan…” you warned him, but not for a particular reason. he murmured something against your skin, his hands trailing up to your chest. “i need to get this into the oven.”

you pulled away from him, leaving him surprised by your sudden gesture you smiled to yourself feeling his eyes on your body, as you bent down to put the cake in the oven. once it was closed you turned towards him, a warm smile on his lips, a little amused and always serene. taking off your apron you said “well, we’ll have to wait for a bit now.” you smiled proudly, unable to wait for the cake to be done.

when the timer went off, he whined in annoyance, hugging you tightly, wanting to feel your body against his once more. while waiting for the cake to be done, the two of you decided to spend that time cuddling on the couch, something you’d dreamed of doing for a really long time since lately he had never been home due to tournaments and practices. his body was resting on top of yours and his head laid gently on your chest, your fingers intertwined with his red locks.

“please, don’t go.” he said softly as soon as he noticed your were gonna get up to take the cake out of the oven.“jan, the cake is going to burn.” you explained patiently while caressing his head. “let it burn.” you laughed at his childishness, finding it cute. “c’mon.” you got up, waiting for him.

the cake was slightly burnt, but that was fine since it was your first time cooking together. it could have been gone worse than that. you placed it onto the counter as he followed every one of your steps, looking at it amazed by the decorations. “they’re amazing, baby.” he said in awe, as you kissed his lips to thank him.

“should we taste it?” he asked you. you nodded “yeah!” he cut two slices of the cake, positioning them on two little plates and gave you a small fork. as soon as you tasted it you immediately realized that the cake had a strange texture. it was very floury. “it's like eating pure flour.” you told him after swallowing it hard, making a disgusted face. “this sucks…” he agreed with you.

“i told you jannik…” you remembered him “always follow the book and never your instinct.” you tried your best to sound bossy but you just couldn’t get angry at him, especially when he was looking at you so sorry.

“i’m so sorry baby, i’m an idiot. how can i make it up to you?” he asked sincerely, wiping his plate clean onto the kitchen bin. “maybe there is something…” you thought about it, what harm could it do? “what is it?” he asked. “c’m here.” you threw your arms around his neck, kissing him passionately. he felt so good back onto your lips.

snuggled under the covers, your bodies close as never before, you decided to watch a movie on that rainy, dark day. the courts were unusable and jannik had decided to take the day off to spend some time with you, since your work had prevented you from doing so lately. and you found yourselves on the sofa, under a big and cozy blanket talking about nothing while his head rested on your chest and you played sweetly with his red hair fresh out of the shower.

and what better film to watch than a horror film? “but i'm scared baby” jannik moaned and pouted, crossing his arms in front of himself. “it'll be fun, come on.” you smiled at him, moving a lock of hair from his face and placing it behind his ear. “mhhh… what should we watch?” you asked playfully while scrolling through netflix trying to find the perfect movie to watch.

he didn’t answer, instead he picked up his phone pretending to be texting someone as he tried his best to not look at the screen while scary images of ghosts and killers appeared in front of you. “put it down jan, please.” you begged him, eyes still fixed on the tv. he rolled his eyes as he placed his phone on the table in front of the sofa, snuggling even closer to your body and covering his face with the blanket

“found it!” you exclaimed happily. with a big smile on your lios you turned to jannik who had a frightening look on his face. “why do we have to do this? can’t we just cuddle?” he said exasperated. “we can cuddle while we watch this movie.” the movie was, in fact, ‘it’ which was one of your favourite of all times and you were excited to watch it with your boyfriend. but he didn’t seem as happy as you.

“i hate you.” he whispered as you clicked play. you smiled and felt his hands trail all the way up to your waist, squeezing it and pulling you closer to his body while he hide his face in your chest.

the first minutes of the movie were not as scary as he thought but he clinged anyway on your body, gripping your flesh softly. but you could hear him gasp during the first scene, and you chuckled at his reaction, finiding it cute.

as the minutes passed by the scenes began to change, becoming more dark and scary and when it appeared he buried his face in the crook of your neck, trying not to watch the screen. “c’mon jan, it’s not real!” you laughed while he did everything he could to redirect his gaze elsewhere. “it’s still scary.” he pouted.

in some way the two of you managed to watch the entire movie, with some little breaks cause he was just too scared and every single one of his gasps was followed by your laughter which made him angry but he still tried his best to made you happy and watch the movie while your fingers played with his hair, soothing him.

hi! i loved it’s your serve and i was wondering if you could drop some headcannons/fun facts/tidbits about it… would love to know more as it is such a fun premise

tysm! omg idek ... I have so many headcanons, hopefully a full fic's worth LMAO

okay first of all I picture Lando as an Carlos Alcaraz type ... young phenom and brilliant, beautiful tennis but a little spotty, not a choker but sometimes he flames out of tournaments really early, sometimes he beats a djokovic type (Max Verstappen here, obvi) out of nowhere

I picture Oscar as a Jannik Sinner type (my personal favorite tennis player, hehe) i.e. super stoic, methodical, not a flashy player but he's fucking GOOD and he's got the natural talent and athleticism. Also one of the reasons he's so good is he watched Lando come out of nowhere and KILL it against the old guard, and hopefully in future chapters they both learn things from each other :)

umm random other stuff: mark webber is a federer type, seb is a nadal type, there will be some f2 kids coming through, and both oscar and lando are going to be sweating sooooo much 😏😏😏
