It had certainly been a while since Jane had last been summoned to the mortal plane. It was very rare for anyone to know the proper way to summon a demon, let alone one as powerful as her. At least this time they had put her in a proper host. Looking down at the lithe young body, Jane thought she could do very well with what she was given. “So you’re the one who summoned me, hmm?” Looking around at the ritual the woman had used, she could immediately tell that she wanted something from Jane. There were various attempts to bind the demon, and some would have actually worked, if they had not made the mistake of summoning a demon as powerful as her. “Seems like you want something from me if you’re going through all this trouble.” She was curious what might make a human be so reckless to try this, even though she had no intention of granting whatever wish they might have had.

Jane stood in the doorway to the room that was now slowly becoming the nursery. She had always wanted to be a mother, but not like this. Not after her engagement fell through. Not after her ex had ended it because he was in love with someone else. It had utterly crushed her when he had told her, not moments before she was about to tell him they were expecting. Jane had run to the only person she could think of, and cried for days. Now, there hasn’t been a day where her best friend wasn’t dropping off baby clothes or offering to help her set up the nursery, which is where they are now.  'Are you sure this color looks alright?' She asked him, looking over the walls once more.

Jane chuckled as she shook her head, scrubbing at a stain on her dress. "It is the consequences of being a nursery maid, I'm afraid. I'm certain that one day they will come up with a way to get tough stains like this out of fabric. But for now, I am afraid this dress has been ruined." She sighed, stopping her scrubbing and turning all her attention on the other. "I'm sorry, did you need something?"

I was today years old when I found out that Zazu was supposed to have eight babies in The Lion King 2.

Concept artwork of them done by Ritsko Notani and approved by animator Wendell Washer, (both of whom have worked on various other Disney direct-to-video sequels and spin-offs) was sold on Ebay just this weekend (godspeed to whoever is living in LA at the moment).

In early drafts of the sequel dating back to 1996, Zazu was intended to be accompanied by a female hornbill known as Binti, who would have been his mate by the end of the film. Together, they would have had eight hornbill chicks. The executives and writers deemed Binti and Zazu's storyline to be unnecessary and she was cut from the movie. When Binti was phased out, Zazu no longer had any narrative reason to have children, and thus they were cut. Zazu's role in Simba's Pride was diminished greatly as a result of this.

Twenty-four-hour streams are things that Jane knew she could only do about once or twice a year, otherwise, she would go crazy. As much as Jane loved her job and loved the fact that she could play games for a living, doing it for twenty-four hours straight could make her burn out. After ending her stream, Jane runs down to the nearby convenience store to splurge on junk food. Hey, she deserved it, didn't she? It didn't matter that it was an ungodly hour of the night, Jane wanted her chips and chips she would get. But one problem--with her haul costing her both of her hands, Jane had trouble getting the elevator. Turning around to the sound of footsteps approaching her, she looked at them with an embarrassed grin, almost guilty of the sin of being caught with bags of junk food. "Hi there. Elevator, please?"

After a long day of press interviews topped off with a Q&A/signing, Jane was relieved to be back in the comfort of her hotel room. While the last few weeks had been full of wonderful fans, exciting interviews about her books and their novel, and even a few fabulous parties, she was excited for a much-needed break. The next few days were off and theirs to plan, and she was excited to just sleep in a bit and explore a few local coffee shops with her disposable camera and her kindle. She hoped maybe they would join her, give them a chance to connect just the two of them, but she wasn't getting her hopes up. She was sure they had their own plans.

Barefaced (following the eager removal of her makeup when she got in) and clad in dark jeans and a grey sweater, Jane was about to head down to the hotel bar for a night cap when she got a text message from them. Her breath caught in her throat as she opened her messages, looking down to see a short but sweet text from the person who had taken up the leading role in her mind of late.

She smiled down at her phone and hearted the message.

It wasn't long before she was seated at the bar, waiting for her co-author and nursing a whiskey Diet Coke. She'd ordered their usual for them as well, which now sat waiting for them on the counter.
