Jane makes her own earrings, she often tells herself that one day she’ll own a business and sell her earrings. She always gets loads of compliments from the choir members because of how professionally made they look (I hope that makes sense). Her favourite pair that she’s made is with safety pins and butterfly beads/charms from the local dollar store (first photo). She also makes those novelty earring with household objects, her favourite pair of those ones are of doll heads (second photo). She wears the butterfly ones more often though, they’re a comfort item to her.

BECAUSE SHE IS AMAZING. First she already won the tournament in the musical to regain life, as she won them over with her sad wet cat energy because she did not have a head and feared that she lost her soul. Second, she died on a roller coaster and lost her head, but stole her doll's head and thats very gender. Third, throughout the musical she is used as a vessel for religious allegory, she is an angel, she is jesus, she is a demon, she is forsaken but she is purity itself. Fourthly, she is is given the identity of Savannah with the greenest eyes after the other characters who died with her hold her a birthday party, and I think thats sweet because its probably some kind of meaning I cant see but auughfhfhh shes so cool

Because he’s an eldritch god who wants to feel human and who overcame a lot of obstacles and dangers!!! He sincerely cares about the main character!!! And he chose a name himself! Isn’t he cute??? He lost his body, he almost lost his memory, he fought for his right to exist, he loves animals, he loves his friend Arthur and I love him!

My man heard the name John Doe, realized he didn’t actually have a name, and just. Took it for himself.

I LOVE HIM. MY SON. HE’S TRYING TO CHANGE AND BE BETTER AND :(((( He’s a fragment of the soul of the King in Yellow (god of trickery and suffering iirc??) that gets trapped in a book in our realm while the rest of the King stayed in his own separate realm. When a human named Arthur Lester opens the book they get linked and John gains control of Arthur’s eyes & kills his partner (oops!). They proceed to go on a quest to find a way of separating them because neither likes the situation, and at first John (or The Entity, which is what he’s called at first) just wants to trick and use Arthur, and control his entire body (through the first season he also gets a hand & a foot) even though he doesn’t remember being The King In Yellow at the time, but Arthur makes him change and become more human. His turning point is when Arthur is shot and falls into a coma for a month. They get treated at a hospital and while John waits for Arthur to wake up so they can carry on, the body itself still gets taken care of. The time John spends alone, contemplating on humanity & everything he’s seeing and learning from Arthur, as well as the way a certain nurse speaks to him every day (specifically, she greets him good morning and good night, despite the body being unresponsive, John still hears because he is an entity linked to the body) and calls him John (they didn’t have ID on when they were found so they were classified as John Doe), changes his outlook and plans for good, and he asks Arthur to call him John; from this point on he admits he cares for Arthur, looks for his wellbeing too, and in general attempts to be a better person and to live for himself. The rest of the podcast (ongoing!!) explores Arthur & John’s relationship, struggle to survive, adventures in the eldritch… All while tackling each of their issues with themselves and each other and watching them both grow. John in specific learns to be the person he wants to be, how sometimes you’ll take a step forward and two backwards; he can be cruel and manipulative sometimes but he still tries. Personally I love his journey, it’s very realistic and you can see he is trying his best, and how he wants to be better than he was as the King In Yellow, and how much Arthur has changed him and how much he cares about him because of that; and how he’s slowly growing into being his own person :) if it ends badly ill cry so hard but!!! he’s John Doe because that’s the name he was being addressed as, and he’s made it his, and being John means he’s no longer the King and that he wants to be different, and John can fail or make mistakes but it’s part of who he is now, and that’s what matters. I am So Normal About Him

Give me your Penny Lamb headcanons (rtc)

Well, if you insist! These are just some random kinda general ones. Some will mention some gore and the accident and some will vaguely reference familial abuse, so be warned!

- Penny had a really rough childhood and was taken from her father indefinitely when she was 10. She's been in the system ever since, as families keep deciding they can't handle the combination of PTSD and autism and gave her back.

- The only biological family she really connected with was her grandmother, who was the one who gave Penny her doll

- Penny wants to be a sheep farmer one day like Gran was before she passed.

- Penny's Metis on her bio mom's side. She doesn't really talk about it much because her mother died shortly after she was born and her father kept her away from that side of her family and Penny never really learned much about her culture. She doesn't really know what all it means.

- This one is kind of a general RTC headcanon, but the way the choir survives the Cyclone after the musical is that Karnak quite literally shifted the timeline. They technically inhabit an alternate universe where the only change is they survive. This means everyone has two conflicting memories of how the accident happened and Penny has very vivid nightmares that constantly switch between losing her head and waking up alive aftermath of the crash with her throat sliced and her neck broken.

- Penny had a sort of identity crisis at 3 am due to these dreams and cut and bleached her hair in Jane Doe fashion. She actually found it strangely comforting to sort of pay homage to the person she was when she found her friends and keeps the look. She didn't like being Jane Doe, but she appreciates what Jane did for her.

- Penny always liked scary movies and stuff like that, but after the accident and the whole Jane Doe debacle she becomes very fascinated with anything morbid and death related as a sort of weird coping mechanism.

- Penny also gets very into the goth, emo, and heavy metal scenes after the accident. She cries listening to Nemo by Nightwish (no I will not shut up about that song)

- Speaking of music, Penny is a life long Marianas Trench fan and when Constance finds out they NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT IT

- Penny had a big crush on Ocean for a while before they started dating, but it was always kind of soured by Ocean acting SO homophobic and SO ableist all the time. It was a huge internal conflict for Penny until Ocean finally turned around, apologized to all the people she'd hurt, and genuinely changed for the better. Penny is actually quite proud of Ocean's progress.

- Penny's hyposensitive to touch and loves deep pressure, squishy hugs, cuddles, and textures. She's notorious for touching stuff without permission when she thinks no one's looking just because the texture looks ✨️feely✨️ (same girl same)

- Mischa is her favourite person to go to for sensory hugs cause he's taller than her and kinda chubby and kinda muscular and he can just envelop her entirely and squeeze the life out of her which she loves.

- Penny really likes Moutain Dew. Mountain Dew of any flavour. The only things she drinks are water, Mountain Dew, and the occasion double-double from Tims. Ocean got her that Baja Blast t-shirt from Hot Topic and Penny wears it every day as pajamas.

- Penny's new family (the one she was placed with after the other one didn't look for her or report her missing or anything at all after the accident) are very nice, but she's incredibly wary of them because of her history. She prefers to be out of the house so she doesn't have to interact with people who are supposed to be parental figures to her.

- Penny loves going to Ricky's, laying on his floor, and being smothered by all his cats while he tells her about Star Trek lore.

- Penny and Noel are the same height, so often times he comes over asking to try on her skirts and stuff to see if they'll look good on him. She has lost half her wardrobe to him.

ride the cyclone as deltarune characters

ages ago i made this post, and after giving it some thought i realised there are even more parallels between ride the cyclone and deltarune than i first thought. going by premise alone, they're both about a group of teenagers who find themselves in a strange world and (in some way) are searching for an escape. not only that, but the characters are similar in some ways. so, without further ado, the cast of my rtc deltarune au! (also some of the pictures got weirdly cropped so click for better quality)

ricky potts -> kris dreemurr

our beloved non-verbal protagonists! i can very much see ricky taking a semi-leadership role if he was thrown into deltarune, already being familar with strange, fantastical realms.

mischa bachinski -> susie

while we don't really see much of what earnt mischa his 'angriest boy in town' reputation, he does appear to put on a tough, agressive facade. clearly, though, he's got a big heart and has a lot of love to give :') meanwhile, susie is the school bully, but as the story progresses, we see that there's a lot more to her than that.

noel gruber -> noelle holiday

how could i not have noel as noelle - they have almost the same name? beyond that, though, the bit in noel's monologue about wanting 'bad love' kind of reminds me of noelle's not-so-subtle desire for susie to bully her. and if you've seen the previously linked post, you know my thoughts on the similarities between nischa and suselle.

ocean o'connell rosenberg -> berdly

LISTEN. both are high achievers, both have trouble putting others before themselves, and don't tell me you can't see berdly singing what the world needs. also, this makes the ocean and noel dynamic very funny, as it's fun to imagine either ocean and noel being friends, and though noel doesn't actually like ocean that much, he's still friendly to her, or noelle and berdly just being openly hostile to each other.

constance blackwood -> ralsei

technically, the character i think constance is most like is noelle, and she and ocean's dynamic is more like noelle and berdly, so consider her a noelle understudy, i guess. still, i think she also fits as ralsei, as they're both really nice, sweet people who actually have more to them than that. plus, 'the nicest girl in town' and 'fluffy boy' just have similar energies to me.

jane doe -> goner kid

no lancer in this au, i'm afraid, as the only person who i think could at all fit that role would be mischa. again, i guess he could be the lancer understudy, but anyway.

i'm kind of cheating with this one, as goner kid is an undertale character, not a delarune one, and they only have a tiny role in the game, but jane fits them too well not to give her this role! i mean, this is goner kid's dialogue:

"have you ever thought about a world where everything is exactly the same... except you don't exist? everything functions perfectly without you... ha ha... the thought terrifies me."

imo, you could replace jane's lion monologue with those lines and it would fit perfectly! also, goner kid's alive counterpart is monster kid, just as penny lamb is to jane!

karnak -> gaster

i've heard theories that gaster is deltarune's narrator, so this one technically isn't cheating. they're both pretty ominous, mysterious characters with little known about them. i mean, how did karnak get his powers or sentience in the first place?

so that's my au! i hope this appeals to at least a few people! maybe someday i'll create some actual content for this au, as i really think it would work well!

Okay so basically everything's the same in the Uranium Teen Scream Trilogy right. It's just Penny/Jane being 10 during RTC & Ezra + the rest of the choir are 17—18.

As stated in the tags Penny gets briefly left unsupervised and sneaks onto the cyclone since the carnie was too drunk to notice jack shit. So!! Cyclone happens!! She's still left unidentified and a majority of the musical is the same

(Except for song choreography bits during SABM & TSIA. In SABM she runs around briefly in a count dogulus costume with a toy space gun thing and gets a ride on Mischa's shoulders for a bit in TSIA. Since she's like. Literally a child who isn't supposed to be here 😭 girlies vibing in the back during NL too LMAO)

The game is technically rigged against her favor since in some productions Karnak seems to be more gentler & softer towards Jane so I thought it'd be a fun aspect to explore and a fun nod to a theory I've seen. Her heads based off a Raggedy Ann doll as a fun nod to both her originally being an older sister with a similar demeanor(at least in my interpretation), and a fun nod to my John Doe Ezra AU where he has a Raggedy Andy head. <3

She's overall treated a little nicer, but still very much explores that scared lost child aspect of (original) Jane's character. (Since she gives me that vibe)

The "Savanah with the green eyes" scene remains mostly unchanged, but at the end Jane gives her party hat to Ricky as if she's giving him a crown. Kinda like how my irl little sister likes to put stuff on my head sometimes. Constance, however- she's a little less afraid of Jane in this au, but is still afraid of her regardless. To be fair, a majority of the choir is. She's a little too eerie to be considered an actual child instead of some horror mimicking one in their eyes for a majority of the musical.

Little Jane's very lost and confused, and keeps mumbling about some John person she doesn't remember. (I'm a firm believer in John Doe = Ezra symbolism. I apologize chat 💔)

She doesn't fully grasp the concept that's she's dead and has a doll head sewed onto her neck, but she often tends to try to scratch at the stitches in the background while other characters are talking. TBOJD is overall the same, but just in a more simplified manner as Jane doesn't fully understand everything that's going on due to her lack of memory and death of her identity. She's still got religious themes tied to her, but in a more eerie child-like way. An innocent lamb to the slaughter, you could say.

In the events of LEGOLAND, it pretty much goes the exact same way— just with the age changes.(by then it'd be like— 13 & 7.) And some other minor details, such as some of the reasons why Penny was bullied in the first place. (Mostly due to her VERY expressiveness + being neurodivergent. The lesbian bullying thing doesnt really apply here since you wouldnt really get bullied much for that as a ten year old. However, Penny has expressed to Ezra that she thought she had a crush on another girl her age once.)

Tammy's also a bit younger as well!! This time she's about- 12-13? At least during RTC she is. Same thing with cut characters; they've had their ages swapped as well, just for funnzies! (Astrid ; 14 - Hank ; 13 - Corey ; 14(and a half as he insists) - Trishna ; 12)

I thought it'd be an interesting idea to have an AU where some of the ages are swapped around, since I haven't seen that be done yet and it offers some interesting character exploration! Once Penny/Jane gets brought back to life, it's basically just like how it is with my take on Jane — she's still got the doll head and memory loss, but now knows her name at the very least.

Except this time, she just sat at her gravestone all day after she crawled out. Afraid of getting herself lost and dying again. (She isn't very expressive, though. Much like OG Jane. Doesn't exactly know how to process and express her emotions very well. She's still very smart for a 10-year old, however.)

Ezra ends up stumbling across her one day during a visit, and after one panic attack later— he reluctantly decides to bring her home with him as Jane wouldn't let go of his leg. (She's a tad clingy)

Understandably, she was kinda pushed away in a gentle manner at first before Ezra got used to her presence again and began to start taking care of her again. Since- y'know. Seeing your dead sibling come back from the dead somehow isn't an easy thing to deal with emotionally.

Along with that, Lil' Jane also claims to see ghosts— which she refers to as the star birds. As to her, they look all star-like and fly around like birds. She doesn't exactly know how to describe or name some things, often resorting to various animal metaphors to try to explain how she thinks. She's a tad eerie, but has her own charm to her. <3
