I opened my notifications for a minute and barely read this prompt before the first bit of it was writing itself in my head, so take your stomarol filth, janai! i may or may not expand on this at some future point.

I have lots of prompts whose fics won't need to exist below a cut, but this is not one of them!

Steve cocked an eyebrow Tommy's way. "Why do you think that?"

"I've been doing it longer."

"And I've done it with more girls!"

They both turned to look at Carol, who regarded them with barely concealed amusement.

"What? And I'm supposed to be the judge of that?”

"Fuck, Tommy," Carol moaned. Her bare chest rose and fell with each gasping breath, and Steve's gaze was fixated on the swell of her breasts. "Steve— move him a little higher."

Steve used the hand he had tangled in Tommy’s hair to tilt his head up at Carol's request. "Y'know, I feel like this is cheating?"

"D-don't care. Fuck, right there!"

"You want his fingers now?"

Carol puffed out a small breath and shook her head. "You didn't use yours— wouldn't be fair." 

"Oh yeah, now you care about fairness." Steve rolled his eyes. "I just think you wanna get a couple good orgasms out of us."

Carol snorted. "if I wanted to get good orgasms I'd use my own h-han—ohhhh, fuck." Shivers traveled the length of her body, and her hips bucked up against Tommy's face uncontrollably.

Steve wasn't going to let Tommy up for air until he'd brought Carol over the edge, so he shot back a comeback on his behalf. "You were saying?"

"Oh, sh-shut up, Harrington."

"Make me, Perkins."

"Gimme a minute and I will."

"So, verdict?"

"Nuh-uh, if I pick, neither of you are gonna do that again."

Ahhh okay! It all started with that one post about the guy being such a bad beard for his friend that her parents were thrilled she was actually a lesbian, then took on a life of it's own.

Basically Robin asks Steve to be her beard, it ends up with her out and proud to her (supportive) parents, and Robin gives him a whole lot of shit for failing to Harrington Charm™ them. They bet on whether or not Steve is actually charming at all, then there are four more times Steve fails to charm anyone into doing what he asks. He has an increasing existential crisis about it.

Naturally the +1 time is him managing to charm Eddie's pants socks off.

I have this whole thing outlined and I've yet to write most of it, but here's a lil snippet

“Hey, Munson!” Steve called after the familiar curly head, hoping Eddie would hear him and stop. He didn’t seem to, though, so Steve raised his voice with the next shout and picked up the pace. Robin grumbled something about slowing down behind him, but Steve heard her keeping up anyway. “Eddie!”

Steve finally managed to weave through the crowd of meandering students who clearly didn’t have enough excitement to get the hell away from school at the end of the day. Eddie was lounging against the side of the school with a shit eating grin and a cigarette dangling between his fingers.

“You heard me that whole time?” Steve asked, unimpressed. He put a hand on his hip and cocked it to better impart the feeling, until he realized he probably shouldn’t start this conversation on a bitchy note. Robin caught up to them just in time for Steve to soften his stance.

“Maybe,” Eddie shrugged. “What’re you bellowing about, Harrington?”

end of beginning for wip weekend 💕💕💕

Good morning dear, thank you so so much for asking for my new pet project I really don't have time for but fell into way too deep to stop now 😅💜💜💜

This continues right where this one left off. As seems to be the par with this story, more than three lines just spilled out of me.

"Listen, I know a thing or two about thinking you're not good enough. Not deserving of the good things that happen to you. And I'm pretty sure I could tell you that there was no mistake and that you deserve this until I'm blue in the face, it wouldn't change anything, would it?" Steve nods because it's true. How would Eddie know, who just half an hour ago didn't know Steve from Adam. "So how about this perspective. What would be the worst thing that could happen if you took the risk anyway? Imagine you take the offer and then it turns out they really did make a mistake. What's the worst thing that could happen?" When Steve opens his mouth to answer, Eddie silences him with a hand over his mouth and Steve blinks at him, eyes wide in surprise. "You don't have to answer me." He says, taking his hand away with a slightly apologetic smile. "Just think about it. Think about the best that could happen if it wasn't a mistake and the worst if it was and then decide if it's worth the risk. Because if you feel like it's not that much of a risk, that the worst is something you could somehow handle, then why let it hold you back? I think your scary friend would agree with me that there is a high probability that you actually did very well. I don't know you, man, but I know I'd like to see you act. And not just because you're really pretty." Eddie's eyes suddenly widen and Steve thinks he didn't mean to say that last part. He looks a lot like a deer caught in the headlights and Steve wants to make him feel better, to bring them back to equal footing. "Well, if it was just about being really pretty, you'd be a great actor too." The pink dusting on Eddie's cheeks darkens at Steve's words, and he hides a smile behind a lock of his dark curls. Still got it, Harrington, Steve thinks.

7x03: Karim is a baby daddy. The Mage Wars. Janai confronting Karim. Aanya basically revealing bombs. Just....so much!!

7x04: The scene with Aaravos harming the momma bird was so upsetting. But all of his scenes with Terry...the voice acting, writing, dialogue, juxtaposition, monologuing...absolute perfection.

Scenes that made me 😂:

7x03: The homemade Moon primal stone is basically a Golden Snitch. Got it, lol.

7x04: ELF CALLUM. I hollered so loud!!

i am very excited for this fluffebruary fic!

here is a small snippet for the prompt picnic date:

The engine from the Jeep died down, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, clear blue, a light breeze, it was perfect. Buck was still going a bit stir crazy these past couple of weeks, a broken wrist on the job landed him unable to go out on any calls, he deep cleaned the 118 station head to toe eight times now. His days off while Tommy was at work were worse. He had reorganized their kitchen, Tommy’s bookshelf, took out the old flowers and replaced them with new ones, he went through his list of things Buck wanted to bake to perfection. Buck nearly even repainted every single room in their home, luckily Tommy brought home a cat he got from a shelter right after a shift. A small little tabby with patchy fur. She warmed up quickly to Buck, soaking in every moment of attention from him. She eased the stir crazy, but it still drove Buck up the wall; he wasn't able to go out on any calls with the 118.  Today though, today Buck decided to do something different with his day off. Buck hopped out of his car with glee, striding towards the Harbor Station. As he walked into the station his eyes landed on Tommy, heading out with his duffle bag in hand. A crinkly smile spread on Tommy’s face, tilting his head, quickening his pace towards Buck.  “Evan?”  Buck bashfully ducks his head with a smile, “Hey babe.” Once reaching Tommy, Buck cups Tommy’s cheeks, gently kissing him. Tommy dropped his duffel and held Buck’s hips bringing him closer. Buck pulled away looking at those stormy blues. “What are you doing here?” Tommy asked with a curious smile.  “I have a little surprise for you,” Buck beamed, Buck grabbed hold onto Tommy’s hand leading him to the Jeep, “Come with me.”  As they drove, Buck felt Tommy’s curious looks, trying to figure out what was going on in Buck’s head. He didn’t say a word, not wanting to ruin the surprise for Tommy. They drove and drove until they reached a park, the sky slowly growing to a brilliant orange.

ooo tell me more about med student steve & nurse eddie 💕💕💕

HELLO JANAI!!! this fic is the one I'm most actively writing rn (as opposed to Kas!Steve AU where i'm constantly rotating it in my brain like a rotisserie chicken, but that's for outlining/untangling knots in the plot reasons lmao) so I am Very Happy to talk about it <3

I did actually finish properly outlining this AU today too!! Unless inspiration strikes me and I write way too much for something, it looks like this fic will be 7 chapters and a short epilogue.

SO, to answer your ask I'm going to share with you what some of the other ST characters (those that I've slotted into a healthcare role, at least) are doing in this AU:

Chrissy is the ward clerk, aka the person who handles all the admin tasks, on the ward Eddie works on! They're best friends, and if there's a quiet moment (or more likely, Eddie is on break) you can usually find them talking shit together at Chrissy's desk. Chrissy is also a bi icon in this AU 🩷💜💙

Joyce is the Nurse Unit Manager of the ward - as the title implies, she's the boss of the nursing staff on the ward and in charge of things like making sure hospital policies are being followed & organizing the nursing team so all patients are adequately cared for. She is Very Overworked but she runs a tight ship!

Argyle is one of the hospital pharmacists, and Jonathan is a trainee hospital pharmacist working with him (but not directly under him as Argyle's personal trainee. That'd be a little weird, considering they're dating). Argyle is also working on a research paper about the benefits of medicinal marijuana (with hopes the team's findings will contribute to further legalisation across the country).

Jason sucks. Jason is a medical student on placement with Steve, and he's... he's what we call a gunner. In med school, gunners are students who are ambitious to a fault, potentially willing to throw other students under the bus to further their own career or academic performance, and often focus too much on the "being right"/"being The Best at medicine" aspects of being a doctor instead of prioritizing the patient and their needs. Basically, he's an out-of-touch privileged jackass who comes from a long line of doctors, and has therefore just Assimilated into the family destiny without ever thinking about what being a doctor actually means.

Vickie works in the hospital pathology centre - she's one of the people who picks up samples and processes them after the doctors or nurses drop them off. Every time Robin goes up there (because it's common to send the med students off to drop off the pathology samples) she is So Very Normal and makes Normal People Conversation with Vickie. Robin is so smooth, I promise.

Nancy is another medical student like Robin & Steve are, and she's currently with the consult psychiatry team with Robin. Nancy is also dating Jonathan, because Jonathan has two hands, and Nancy is very interested in the research work Argyle does. She is still Steve's ex-girlfriend in this AU - they had a poorly-thought-out brief relationship in their first year of medical school, and no one in the medical school has let them live it down.

Dr Henry Creel is the consultant doctor in charge of the Internal Medicine team Steve & Jason are currently with. As he's in charge of the team, he's the one who grades the med students and decides if they pass or fail their placement term. I'm sure nothing bad will come of this.

For reference, the "young adults" of the ST cast are in their mid-twenties in this AU. This means that those in fields like nursing or pharmacy have already graduated from college and are full-status employees in their chosen fields, while the med students of the group are still working their way through medical school (since doing a bachelor's + an MD is pretty time-consuming, and that's before you take any time off from studying after high school or between degrees). Also, Henry is Older here, since in canon he's like... what, 40 in 1986? He's at least in his fifties in this AU, since consultant doctors are rarely any younger than that (particularly if they're not brand new to the job).

Also, if I haven't said this elsewhere already, this is a modern AU! No way am I forcing myself to replace all my healthcare knowledge with healthcare knowledge from 40 years ago for this fic, it's bad enough I have to pretend to understand how the American healthcare system works lmao

I honestly wonder what Karim thinks of her ? As for Janai, she still suspects that it was not Mara who killed Khessa ! Or… not ?

Karim would think of Mara as all the Sunfire elves think about her, and that is that she's bad juju. She is largely responsible for the corruption of the Sunforge and the displacement of the surviving citizens of Lux Aurea, and Karim is very much pro-Lux Aurea lmao. To say he'd despise her is an understatement. It's why I'm so desperate to have them interact; I would love Karim to come at her with the atrocities she's committed against his people the last two years, just so she can kinda laugh it off and ask if she's off the hook for the other 4,998. :')

Janai at this point has finally come to the realisation that, whilst she did some terrible things, Amaranthae is at least trying to set right all that she screwed up, but that doesn't mean she forgives her, as is her right. She has no desire to forgive, and there would never be any kind of reconciliation between the pair of them. I think I have it written down somewhere in my notes that Janai was very adamant on executing her after she fell into her coma, but Zubeia stopped her from committing to it; I can't remember if I have that online anywhere, or if it's just in my personal notes. <3 You'd be surprised how often that happens, merp. But yes! She's also one of the characters I want Mara to meet again, especially after she started having her prophetic dreams. I think that would be a fun dynamic to explore! <3

♡ - romantic headcanon

That man is a gentle smooth talker if ever I saw one oh my god. Like, actually, I think more charming than Steve. Because he's not as like...ostentatious about it? Steve is trying (and excepting s3, succeeding) at being charming, but Jeff is just charming without trying. He's a naturally kind and bighearted kind of person. Very doting, and just kind of exudes that at everyone around him, whether platonic or romantic. Also definitely has a playful, snarky side, but that's not where he lives, y'know?

I think he's very physically affectionate, and big into small romantic gestures (randomly picking up a bouquet of flowers from the drugstore, surprising his partner at work with a cup of coffee, picking up something small because it made him think of them, etc.).

☮ - friendship headcanon

So, so loyal, but in a very level-headed kind of way. I think for a lot of ST characters loyalty can manifest in some violently protective ways, but I don't see that for Jeff so much. He can hold a grudge, but he needs to know All The Facts of a situation before he will because the truth of the matter is he sees his friends with such rose-colored glasses that he actually fundamentally can't understand why someone wouldn't like them. This means that he's also good at playing peacekeeper amongst the CC boys (a la S1 Dustin, actually). But if you do trigger a Jeff Grudge??? There is no coming back from that. You're on his Shit List for life. Doesn't matter if his friends forgive you. That lane is now closed to you.*

*This never applies to Steve, because I never headcanon Steve as having ever been actually shitty to any of the CC boys. Jeff is maybe wary of Steve at first, but is the most willing of the group (after Eddie) to give him the benefit of the doubt

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

So he's obviously into metal, but I think he's also big into black musical history in general, too? Loves spirituals and blues music and jazz. Like I think he's an all out nerd about it. He'll also listen to absolutely anything with a sick guitar line, doesn't matter the genre.

I know the 80s is early for this, but I can sooo see him as a hacky sack enthusiast?? Idk love the idea of Jeff having a sort of mindless fidgety hobby. (Yo-yo is also a little too after his time but would also fit this).

Also in JISBA verse he's kind of like a...classic romance (and erotica) enthusiast? Austen, Chopin, Lawrence etc.

also bonus random headcanon is that to me his last name is Lincoln so i'm just gonna start tagging my personal jeff posts that way from now on lmao.

I honestly think it's still incomprehensible to me sometimes that some youtubers I've watched discussing TDP talk so harshly and so negatively about Runaan and his relationship with Rayla, that they don't see him as a father to her. While I admit that it's because there is a lot of important and critical information about the Moonfam backstory/flashbacks still missing or how Runaan and Rayla's relationship was like before the events of S1, with the exception of Bloodmoon Huntress, they continously see Runaan in such a horrible light and saying some things along the lines of like "why is Rayla crying over Runaan in S5E1, that they want Rayla to feel anger, resentment and conflicted with him, that it doesn't make her emotions real, that they were never even close, that Runaan didn't even care about Rayla in the beginning, why are the writers disregarding her emotions, especially since in the beginning of S1 he tried to kill her. Which obviously was never in Runaan's agenda and was never his intention to begin with.

While I think that it's a bit overkill, I truly believe that the writers would never ignore this. I really think that they will have some way of telling and confronting this on-screen because they know that Runaan will have a lot to answer for once he's freed, especially being confronted by some of those heartbreaking and damaging moments with Rayla, which he will have some apologies to make to Rayla.

It really makes me curious how they will bring the moonfam into the storyline. Of course, since Aaron Ehasz confirmed we'll be learning about Runaan and his important story.

I apologize for the long post. I just wish some of them would look deeper or be more optimistic about Runaan and the Moonfam.

Firstly, thank you, that was very sweet and very nice to hear that someone enjoys my theories and tdp posts so much.

Secondly, I tend to ignore youtube comments as they're often just wrong, ridiculous, over the top, take your pick. For example I recently saw someone comment on a clip of Kimdael's fight with Janai where the commenter stated that Janai was a much stronger and more skilled warrior than Runaan because she beat Kimdael. Which was confusing and wrong as Janai never defeated Kim'dael in battle and the only reason Kim'dael left her later was because her own life was on the line. Not to mention that it's also very hard to compare them as warriors given their very different skill sets and fighting styles.

In general I think it would be best for you to just ignore these commenters and fellow tdp fans as I suspect that these seemingly anti Runaan fans are probably not going to be happy with whatever happens to him in the next 2 seasons, especially in regards to his relationship to Rayla, especially if they can't understand how much Rayla loves him and how much he also canonically loves her too. They'll never be satisfied with any reconciliation, forgiveness or heartwarming moments between them, not when they've convinced themselves that Runaan is the bad guy who's never truly loved Rayla.

Just stay or create a little pro Moonfam bubble for yourself and block, ignore, cut out anyone who doesn't also love the Moon fam and want good things for them.

As for the Moon fam being brought into the storyline I have 2 ideas for you.

1) Runaan knows who Aaravos is and knew about his mirror so he must know some important info and possibly even be descended from someone who helped to imprison him.

2) I do think that at least the Moon family and Dragang will be staying in the Silvergrove at the end of season 6, the timeskip between seasons 6 and 7 and at least the beginning of season 7. It would allow a lot of characters to stay in 1 place, safe and hidden from Aaravos and his allies etc and would also allow for the conclusion of the Kim'dael arc as we now that she also lives in the Moonshadow forest. Plus it would be nice to see things switched up, where instead of Rayla staying with humans, the humans now stay with Rayla and her fellow Moonshadow elves.

I could also see some other characters, namely Janai, Amaya, Gren, Corvus and Kazi also staying there too, especially if Karim triumphs in the Civil War. It would also ensure that Janai could also face Kim'dael again after their last encounter and perhaps even some drama regarding her knowledge of the Bloodmoon Huntress and her family's inaction when it came to stopping her from killing and at the very least, the decision to not tell the Moonshadow elves of her existence and home.

i'm imagining a college AU where they meet at a party, a friend of a friend kind of thing and they find each other somewhere and start talking and one thing leads to another and they make out a lot. and after that they both kinda start seeing each other on campus a lot, is like they're everywhere now that they know of each other's existence. they find each other again at another evend, make out again because it's like they're magnetically pulled to one another and after that they keep seeking each other out on porpuse too. robin knows the sorority house that chrissy lives in, and she starts pulling favors from nancy with her journalist integrity, eddie with his drug supplies and of course steve with his popularity, just so she can go to the frat/sorority parties and see chrissy again even if she does't particularly likes parties that much. sometimes chrissy has someone by her side and robin's not trying to toot her own horn but she has the impression that chrissy smiled and laughed way more at robin's jokes and antics than she did with whatever jocky asshole she was with from time to time. and chrissy's not gonna admit it, but robin's kinda right. and even if chrissy has someone by her side at the beginning of the night, by the end of it she's always the one by robin's side anyway. they continue to seek each other out and find each other every time and it's simple and easy and thrilling and exciting

A small and hopefully not too revealing snippet of my summer exchange fic (Janai, please look away 😘) below the cut

Drunk Steve should not be allowed to make any decisions, sober Steve decides.

Because he instantly regrets trusting Robin's secretive plan as soon as he steps into their apartment a week later, only to find not just Robin, but also her girlfriend Chrissy and Chrissy's best friend and roommate Eddie lounging in their living room.

All eyes turn towards him as he enters.

Robin's expression is the most transparent. Though the furrow between her brows is subtle, her lip-chewing and rhythmic tapping betray her worry, likely anticipating his reaction to whatever scheme they've concocted.

Chrissy, on the other hand, wears a radiant smile, her bubbly demeanor suggesting she's delighted about something. Yet, Steve can't shake the feeling that her enthusiasm might spell trouble. While he adores Chrissy and cherishes her friendship almost as much as he does Robin’s, he's well aware of her propensity for stirring up mischief.

Their shared history stretches back almost as far as hers and Robin's. It's a tradition for Robin and him to introduce their second dates to each other, one of their many platonic soulmate privileges. Steve often wonders if this practice inadvertently sabotages any chances of a third date, but he's unwilling to compromise on the importance of his friendship with Robin.

In any case, if someone can't accept his slightly unconventional bond with his best friend, they're probably not the right fit for him anyway.

Eddie's expression proves the most enigmatic. He appears utterly deer-in-the-headlights, his wide brown eyes resembling those of a startled doe. His usually pale complexion now seems even more ghostly. Steve notices how Eddie's fingers have been incessantly tousling his hair, rendering his dark curls resembling more of a chaotic bird's nest. Steve recognizes this as one of Eddie's nervous ticks, alongside fidgeting and rambling. His suspicions of Eddie's unease appear justified as Eddie avoids meeting Steve's gaze, opting instead to stare down at his hands, absently toying with his rings.

Something is going on and Steve has a sinking feeling that he won't like it.
