Screen Two: Contact (BBC, 1985)
"One-zero this is one-one, over. One-one contact. Two minutes ago at grid reference one-four-zero, zero-four-one. Gunmen. One dead, one captured. Area is secure, send chopper. Over."

Chapman‚ as the officer‚ delivers a brilliant performance of a man becoming gradually brutalised as he#stretches closer and closer to breaking. there's a lot unsaid and a lot left just suggested (the gradual increase in Chapman's threats to#subdued prisoners make it almost inevitable he'll eventually murder someone‚ which at least one of his squad appears to be way of)

i went to a used book sale today... procured:
railroad color history: new york central railroad (brian solomon & mike schafer) — i'm not actually that into trains but it appealed to me.
the complete guide to the soviet union (jennifer louis & victor louis) — travel guide from 1980
an anthology including the big sleep (raymond chandler), "the undignified melodrama of the bone of contention" (dorothy l. sayers), "the arrow of god" (leslie charteris), "i can find my way out" (ngaio marsh), instead of evidence (rex stout), "rift in the loot" (stuart palmer & craig rice), "the man who explained miracles" (john dickson carr), & rebecca (daphne du maurier) (i already have this one..) — it's volume 2 of something (a treasury of great mysteries) which annoys me but whatever
an anthology including "godmother tea" (selena anderson), "the apartment" (t. c. boyle), "a faithful but melancholy account of several barbarities lately committed" (jason brown), "sibling rivalry" (michael byers), "the nanny" (emma cline), "halloween" (mariah crotty), "something street" (carolyn ferrell), "this is pleasure" (mary gaitskill), "in the event" (meng jin), "the children" (andrea lee), "rubberdust" (sarah thankam mathews), "it's not you" (elizabeth mccracken), "liberté" (scott nandelson), "howl palace" (leigh newman), "the nine-tailed fox explains" (jane pek), "the hands of dirty children" (alejandro puyana), "octopus vii" (anna reeser), "enlightenment" (william pei shih), "kennedy" (kevin wilson), & "the special world" (tiphanie yanique) — i guess they're all short stories published in 2020 by usamerican/canadian authors
an anthology including the death of ivan ilyich (leo tolstoy) (i have already read this one..), the beast in the jungle (henry james), heart of darkness (joseph conrad), seven who were hanged (leonid andreyev), abel sánchez (miguel de unamuno), the pastoral symphony (andré gide), mario and the magician (thomas mann), the old man (william faulkner), the stranger (albert camus), & agostino (alberto moravia)
the ambassadors (henry james)
the world book desk reference set: book of nations — it's from 1983 so this is kind of a history book...
yet another fiction anthology......... including the general's ring (selma lagerlöf), "mowgli's brothers" (rudyard kipling), "the gift of the magi" (o. henry) (i have already read this one..), "lord mountdrago" (w. somerset maugham), "music on the muscatatuck" (jessamyn west), "the pacing goose" (jessamyn west), "the birds" (daphne du maurier), "the man who lived four thousand years" (alexandre dumas), "the pope's mule" (alphonse daudet), "the story of the late mr. elvesham" (h. g. wells), "the blue cross" (g. k. chesterton), portrait of jennie (robert nathan), "la grande bretèche" (honoré de balzac), "love's conundrum" (anthony hope), "the great stone face" (nathaniel hawthorne), "germelshausen" (friedrich gerstäcker), "i am born" (charles dickens), "the legend of sleepy hollow" (washington irving), "the age of miracles" (melville davisson post), "the long rifle" (stewart edward white), "the fall of the house of usher" (edgar allan poe) (i have already read this one..), the voice of bugle ann (mackinlay kantor), the bridge of san luis rey (thornton wilder), "basquerie" (eleanor mercein kelly), "judith" (a. e. coppard), "a mother in mannville" (marjorie kinnan rawlings), "kerfol" (edith wharton), "the last leaf" (o. henry), "the bloodhound" (arthur train), "what the old man does is always right" (hans christian anderson), the sea of grass (conrad richter), "the sire de malétroit's door" (robert louis stevenson), "the necklace" (guy de maupassant) (i have already read this one..), "by the waters of babylon" (stephen vincent benét), a. v. laider (max beerbohm), "the pillar of fire" (percival wilde), "the strange will" (edmond about), "the hand at the window" (emily brontë) (i have already read this one..), & "national velvet" (enid bagnold) — why are seven of these chapters of novels....? anyway fun fact one of the compilers here also worked on the aforementioned mystery anthology. also anyway Why did i bother to write all that ☹️
fundamental problems of marxism (georgi plekhanov) — book about dialectical/historical materialism which is published here as the first volume of something (marxist library) which is kind of odd to me tbh
one last (thankfully tiny) anthology including le père goriot (honoré de balzac) & eugénie grandet (honoré de balzac)

Oh. My. Gosh!!!!! Look at what I just found right here:
Here, as you can see, Jeff Stinco is listed on the website called OnThisDay.com, where they have listed him under the August 22, 1978 section underneath "Famous Birthdays".
Sometimes between 2018 or 2019, On This Day listed James Corden next to Jeff Stinco, who is still in the "Famous Birthdays" section for August 22, 1978, and I am supposed to be okay with that? This is not right at all.
Here are the people born on August 22, 1975. Jeff Stinco isn't even listed here, for crying out loud!
Here, they made Jeff's name go up in terms of popularity between him and James Corden. At least they knew something they didn't know about. But they still went ahead and made his year of birth/age incorrect!
Here is a full length version of famous people who were born in August 1975, and Jeff Stinco is not even listed on there, he's listed on the August 1978 section instead! What the firetruck?????
This isn't even funny. This isn't even that funny. This is not funny at all! Is On This Day joking? Do these people know that this is a game? I'm really angry about this. They literally put Jeff Stinco and James Corden right next to each other on the August 22, 1978 section on their website. You can't just put this iconic pop punk king next to some loser who does carpool karaokes for a living on his talk show and who can't act to save his life like that! That's not how it works around here, On This Day!
Here, in the world of Jeff Stinco, you have to at least fucking try to get his year of birth and his age correctly right. 1978 is not the year he was born in!
Jeff Stinco was born in 1975, meaning that he was born around the same time as Charlize Theron (who was born sixteen days before Jeff) and Rodrigo Santoro!
He was not born around the same time as James Corden and Kobe Bryant!
Jeff Stinco and James Corden don't even belong together, and I wouldn't want to believe that a beautiful angelic man like Jeff, would be born around the same time as some slimy slimeball talk show host!
Now what if I changed every single website and told everybody that Jeff Stinco was born in 1975 and that he should've been a Grammy winner, a Oscar winner, a Emmy winner, and also even a Tony winner, to make him become a EGOT at 47 years old?
Now that is some comedy gold right there.
Because Jeff Stinco, Charlize Theron, Sara Ramirez, Mbali Gasa, Sheree Murphy, Shelly Cole, Vera Jordanova, Daniella van Graas, Stéphanie Szostak, Eliza Carthy, Shaniqua Miles, Chynna Clugston Flores, Eicca Toppinen, Kyle Cook, Nick Loeb, Rodrigo Santoro, Casey Affleck, Taika Waititi, Mandy Leigh, Ingrid Rubio, Aryiro Strataki, Chris Nevin, N.D. Kalu, Trevor Pryce, Andy Hallett, Beau Morgan, Kaipo Spenser, Antony Cotton, Jamie McGonnigal, Renate Götschl, Rik Platvoet, Victor Zambrano, Alshermond Singleton, Edgar Renteria, Jimmy van Fessem, Koray Candemir, Jeremy Scott, Mahesh Babu, Mathew James Coad, Mike Lamb, Lise Mackie, Davey von Bohlen, Ronald Clarke, Anders Myrvold, Paul Gaudoin, Raegan Scott, Regan Upshaw, James Carpinello, Jason Gleasman, Joe Perry, Shoaib Akhtar, Mike Vrabel, Viaceslav Ivanovski, Bertrand Berry, Vijay Bharadwaj, Didier Agathe, Felicia Zimmermann, George Stults, İlhan Mansız, Simon Katich, Marcus Mastin, Marianne Garvey, Tracie Thoms, Alicia Witt, Charles Cornelius Smith, Clint Bolton, Robert Enes, Joe Andruzzi, Mark de Vries, Jeremy Horn, Molly Tuter, Petria Thomas, Morgan Ensberg, Shea Seals, Jonny Moseley, Mark Rudan, Gareth Farrelly, Jamie Cureton, Dante Basco, Radhi Jaïdi, Takahiro Suwa, Daniel Harding, James Black, Gaahl, Mase, and Mineiro all share the same birthday month and year as each other.
August 1975.
Is when these people were born.
That.
Just that.
That alone is literally funny.
Jeff Stinco and 81 other famous people were all born on August 1975.
It's way better than just putting Jeff's name up with people like James Corden, Kobe Bryant, Jess Margera, Kel Mitchell, Amber Brkich, and Countess Vaughn, and then claiming that he was born on August 1978, just like them, but he is not.
Holy Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Girmante Vaikute, I am so angry right now. I am so angry at these people and these websites not knowing who Jeff Stinco is and what year he was born in.
If James Corden ever starts doing a carpool karaoke episode with Jeff Stinco when he finally comes back to singing again on his talk show, I will lose my shit at this and there will be h-e-double hockey sticks to pay.
How dare you compare Jeff to that loser who is not a good actor, who is not a good comedian, his jokes are not even that funny, and oh, should I say this, he is terrible to his fans too, may I should say it again for once though?
I got anger management issues about three different things all at once: Jeff Stinco's year of birth and his age not being right by people, images and videos of Britney Spears attending the premiere of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood still being there on her name to this very exact day, and men with beards having no more than over 100,000 tweets to their names on Twitter and they are the ones who are child sex predators who does bad things to children. Those are the real things I am disgruntled about.
You're in a world into not being a Stinc Icon, On This Day. Screw your "accuracies" if you can't get Jeff's age right!
Make Jeff Stinco a singer again, On This Day. You'll get it right soon, you know? And he will get his singing career back and live his life in peace, thank you very much for reading this and goodbye ;)
#jeff stinco#jeff stinco deserves better#make jeff stinco a singer again#fuck james corden#james corden sucks#jeff stinco and james corden don't go well together#fuck you on this day for messing up jeff stinco's year of birth and his age!!!

The Mind of Humility!"Put on, therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering." Colossians1:21. The mind of humility is like a water droplet that quietly blends in with the ocean while still being an individual part of the whole. Brethren, the humbleness of mind is a very good sign of a Christ-minded believer. Humility means submission; it is not a form of groveling. As Christians, we must have a humble mind, as displayed by our Lord Jesus Christ. Humbleness of the mind creates peace and unity with others. A high-minded and proud person does not express humility through the mind of Christ. As Christians, we should be able to accept correction and remain lowly in our own eyes; as Christians, we are to seek to please God with our lives. We need to fear Him and keep His word. If we have the mind of Christ, we should be able to humble ourselves under the will of God and keep His commandments rather than trying to meet human demands and expectations. Humility does not mean we are silent or inactive; God also requires action and zeal. Jesus tells us that the kingdom of heaven is taken by force (Mathew 11:12). Because the mind of humility is like a river, it flows gently and calmly, never becoming too high or too low. It is ever-changing and adaptable, allowing for moments of stillness and turbulence. James 4:6 says, "But he gives more grace. Therefore, it says, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humility is a powerful tool to unlock our true potential and unleash the greatness of our minds. If you want to go deeper into Christ as a Christian, you need to be zealous in God's things and have a humble sense. If we are humble in our minds and desire to do God's will, we will do whatever it takes to keep our hearts and minds pure. God's desire is for us to have a gentle and quiet spirit. When we are of a humble mind, we will be able to hear God's Spirit speaking to our hearts throughout the day. Humility is essential to progress and promotion in life. It's the key to unlocking a peaceful and open mind." The mind of humility allows us to recognize our strengths and weaknesses and how to better ourselves from a place of understanding and grace. By humbly accepting our shortcomings, we can take steps to improve while not letting the fear of failure or rejection stand in our way. Rather than looking at the world through judgmental eyes, we can be open to new experiences with a sense of curiosity because humility is like a fertile field, ready to absorb the wisdom of those around it and bring forth something beautiful. Amen. Proverbs 11:2 says, "When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom." Prayer: 1. Father Lord, help me humble myself before you and others in Jesus' name. 2. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray that you have your eyes opened to identify and resist any spirit of pride that may easily bring destruction and take away God's blessings in your life. Amen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X44kV5dnDTw https://maglife.org/

REQUESTS AND WRITINGS
Hey! Welcome to my blog, I just wanted to post a list of all the celebrity characters I write for. I just wanted to inform you all that I will most definitely be taking in requests for any character played by a celeb on this list, as well as any type of prompt (fluff, angst, smut...). I also wanted to add that sadly I will only be writing for female readers as I am one myself and wouldn't want to misinterpret any feelings or situations that a male or non- binary person would feel.
(Just to be clear this a list of actors but I will only be writing for any character played by said celebs, not the actual person as I find that kind of wierd. xx)
PS: Some names will be in all caps and that means that I am currently in a period where I am really motivated or interested to write for this particular person, these will change over time.

October 8th 1515 saw the birth of Margaret Douglas, countess of Lennox.
Her mother was Margaret Tudor, daughter of Henry VII and widow of James IV of Scotland, who had married Archibald Douglas, 6th Earl of Angus in 1514.
The young Margaret, who was said to be very beautiful, lived for a time with her aunt Princess Mary and then became a lady-in-waiting to Anne Boleyn and led an eventful life, being imprisoned in the Tower of London on several occasions.
On 6 July 1544 at St James' Palace in London she married Matthew Stewart, 13th Earl of Lennox, who was a descendant of James I of Scotland. Their second son Henry, Lord Darnley married Nary Queen of Scots, and was murdered in 1567.
Her husband, Matthew died after being shot in the back in a skirmish at Stirling Castle in 1571. None of her eight children survived her and she died, in poverty, on 9th March 1578
Elizabeth I of England paid for her funeral and in the south aisle of Henry VII's chapel in Westminster Abbey and an ornate grave/monument,, on either side of the tomb chest are weepers (small kneeling statues) of her four sons (Charles and Henry and two who died young) and four daughters (all died young). The inscription panels reads:
"HEER LYETH THE NOBLE LADY MARGARET, COUNTESSE OF LEVENOX, DAUGHTER AND SOLE HEIRE OF ARCHIBALD EARLE OF ANGUISE [Angus], BY MARGARET Q.OF SCOTTES HIS WIFE THAT WAS ELDEST DAUGHTER TO KING HENRY THE 7, WHOE BARE UNTO MATHEW EARLE OF LEVENOX HER HUSBAND 4 SONNES AND 4 DAUGHTERS. THIS LADY HAD TO HER GREAT GRANDFATHER K.EDWARD THE 4, TO HER GRANDFATHER K.HENRY THE 7, TO HER UNCLE K.HENRY THE 8, TO HER COUSIN GERMANE K.EDWARD THE 6, TO HER BROTHER K.JAMES OF SCOTLAND THE V, TO HER SONNE KING HENRY THE FIRST [ie.Lord Darnley], TO HER GRANDCHILD K.JAMES THE 6. HAVINGE TO HER GREATE GRANDMOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER 2 QUEENES BOTH NAMED ELIZABETH, TO HER MOTHER MARGARET Q.OF SCOTTS, TO HER AUNT MARYE THE FRENCHE Q, TO HER COUSYNS GERMANES MARY AND ELIZABETH QUEENES OF ENGLAND, TO HER NEECE AND DAUGHTER IN LAW MARY Q.OF SCOTTS. HENRY SECOND SONNE TO THIS LADY WAS K.OF SCOTTS AND FATHER TO JAMES THE 6 NOW KING. THIS HENRY WAS MURTHERED AT THE AGE OF 21 YEARES. CHARLES HER YOUNGEST SONNE WAS EARLE OF LEVENOX FATHER TO THE LADIE ARBELL. HE DYED AT THE AGE OF 21 YEARES AND IS HERE INTOMBED".
Her grandson was James VI of Scotland who of course also became James I of England.

loved the last post so much 🥺 can we get general relationship headcanons for canada and america? 1p and 2p please 👉👈
Thank you so much, sweetheart
General Relationship Headcanons
✮America | Alfred Jones✮
Alfred has Annoying High School Freshman Energy and you can’t tell me otherwise
Anyway, he couldn’t actually believe when he developed feelings for you, he’s 19 afterall!! or, I mean looks like he is
Regardless. he thought he shouldn’t be in a relationship, he should be out there living his best life! Right???
As it would turn out, in order to “live his best life”, he needed you to be by his side
When you two are in an actual relationship, he spoils the ever living f u c k outta you, getting you extravagant gifts and taking you to expensive dates
The ‘expensive date’ portion of that usually isn’t fancy restaurants, but instead trips to Disney World, Magic Mountain, and other fun or fast pace places
He calls you so many cutesy pet names (babe, sugar, honey, darlin’, etc.) that you start to think he forgot your actual name
He wants you to call him cute names too!!
I hope you like stereotypical cowboy accents, because normally he has a mid-western accent (read: none at all), but when he gets tired, it sort of drops to a low southern draw
He lowkey gets embarrassed being all cute with you when his friends (The Boys™) are around, but he’s working on it
At the end of the day, he’s a real sweetheart
Me & You by HONNE
--
✮2p!America | Allen Jones✮
👏New👏York👏accent
Now that the most important thing is out of the way, Allen is very much brash and a fast paced guy, never really staying in one place (or with one person) for too long
He has always preferred little flings and never really had much more than than, but then you just?? Ruined that???
A little bit salty, a little bit confused, but hey, fuck it
When you two are dating, he’s the type of boyfriend to flirt with you in public when he sees you, pretending like you’re just some attractive stranger who caught his attention
It’s a little game he enjoys plating so try to flirt back
His dates are more old school too, taking you to drive-ins and family diners mostly
l o v e s kissing you tbh
However, if you’ve eaten meat or other animal products, he will straight up refuse to do so until you brush your teeth
Will encourage you to eat animal substitutes too but won’t force it in you
He does, however, have some anger problems, so, when arguments between you two do happen, it can get l o u d
If you ask him to and give him encouragement along the way, he’ll try his best to seek anger management counseling
In spite of his flaws, he really does just want to make you happy and feel safe
Last of The Real Ones by Fall Out Boy
--
◈ Canada | Mathew Williams ◈
Matthew is an absolute sweetheart, but he has the habit of being a tab bit on the shy side
He developed feelings for you when you two were hanging out as friends, getting coffee/hot chocolate/tea in the early afternoon, both wearing what you slept in and his hair was a bit messy, tied back in a tiny pony tail
Maybe it was the way the afternoon sun hit you, maybe it was your smile, but he was s m i t t e n
He most likely didn’t tell you about his feelings right away, you being the one to ask him out
He- he can be a bit of a sassy prick, ngl
It’s mainly snide little remarks under his breath during World Conference meetings, but they’re lowkey kinda funny roasts
While you two are in a relationship, he’ll work up the courage to flirt with you, but if you do it back he’ll get immediately flustered
He also likes complimenting you, so at least once a week, you’ll wake up to a sticky note on the bathroom mirror for you saying a little compliment about something he likes about you
Also he enjoys baking when he’s kinda strung out, so he’ll often make things, taking any dietary restrictions you may have into consideration, and putting them in some tupperware for you
At some point early on in the relationship, France would take you and Mathew out to lunch so he can meet who his cher fils is so taken with
He’s gotta make sure you’re treating him right, afterall
Someone To You (Acoustic) by BANNERS
--
◈ 2p!Canada | James Mathieu Williams ◈
He’s not great at expressing affection or romantic interest at all
He didn’t ask you out when he liked you, as he had it in his mind that you deserved better than him
In his eyes, you’re kind and wonderful, he’s gruff and more on the aggressive side, making him a bit of a mess
When you asked him out (or if you’re too shy, Allen got impatient and asked you out for him) he was a little on the cautious side of things
As the relationship progresses though, he’s quite happy, even if he doesn’t necessarily show it
The way he shows affection for you is through quality time
He’ll set some time aside just to spend hours with you
Which reminds me, his dates aren’t anything extra, he prefers spending them at his place, and he wouldn’t go out of his way to do much more unless you ask him too
His place, by the way, being a quaint, albeit kinda sus looking, cabin in the northern area of Canada, sitting just on the outskirts of a forest
You two would spend hours sitting on the couch or rug in front of the fireplace, doing whatever it is you two would enjoy doing together (or even separate, he just likes having you in the same general vicinity as him)
In other news, he’s been wearing the same red, black, and gray flannel for months, please remove and wash it
Sedated by Hozier
