“Keaton was a very quiet guy,” Collier said. “He loved the outdoors and loved the barbecue and loved the home and loved the kids.... Natalie was a very good mother, and the two kids were very well brought up. But Buster never stayed home very much. He was always out playing ball, or hunting, or fishing. He wasn’t a family man, particularly. Natalie had no personality, but I liked her very much.”
- Buster Collier (Buster Keaton: A Filmmaker’s Life, James Curtis. pg.363)

Okay so I have a list of people I will now fixate on and possibly do research on and find out their entire life stories.
John Laurens (obviously)
Alexander Hamilton (even more obviously)
James McHenry
Richard Kidder Meade
Tench Tilghman
And others I’ve heard less about: Joseph Reed, Benjamin Walker, Robert Harrison, Caleb Gibbs, Thomas Mifflin, and of course, Benjamin Talmadge
I actually want to do research on or create characters for the whole family, which means both aides and just general staff. (But just the most known ones so really not the whole family)
It’ll be a lot of people but hey. If ANYONE HAS ANY INFO ON ANYONE ELSE OR WHOS ON THIS LIST I WILL BE SO VERY HAPPY PLEASE
I am well aware my brain works very weirdly, thank you 😊

Madison: hey! hey! HEY!! THOMAS!! GET IN HERE!!!
Jefferson: OMG JAMES WHAT’S WRONG?!
Madison: can you help me reach this? I’m short.
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Burr, yelling across the street: Hamilton! Shut the fuck up!
Hamilton: I’m a free American!
Burr: That protects you from the government not me!
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Someone: So? How’s the patient?
Rush: Alright. He just tried to throw his uncle out the window, so you know, Just fine.
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Provost, holding a rope: how’s it hanging?
Talmadge: *protectively inches closer to hale*
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Laurens, ranting: and it’s a daggum mess!
Hamilton: Um… John? Your southern is showing…
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Lafayette: and in France it’s 10:75.
Laurens, wheezing: it’s when?!?
Lafayette: 10:75.
Hamilton, rolling on the floor: that amazing! It’s always ten in France the minutes just change! That hilarious! Oh my god!
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Hamilton: hanging out with the presidential cabinet is great ‘cause sometimes you have fun, sometimes you get yelled at, and sometimes-

Finding the dean’s house was no trouble at all. Early in the new year, after it was discovered that Natalie was pregnant, Peg Talmadge moved herself in, joining two of her three daughters under Buster’s roof. “By April,” said Keaton, “the walls were bulging. Nat had said, ‘This Westchester Place house will be big enough for anything.’ Perhaps it wasn’t Sanforized. It had certainly shrunk.” Soon the hunt was on for Natalie’s “castle of dreams,” the home she described in her essay for the Evening Herald, something big and roomy with grounds for a vegetable patch and a flower garden. With her sisters and mother pitching in, a three-story Tudor-style mansion was located in the exclusive Westmoreland Place development, a gated community in East Hollywood where Mack Sennett was one of the residents. This rental property conveniently served as the dean’s home for Gabe Gabourie’s purposes.

Intolerance (D.W. Griffith, 1916)
Cast: Lillian Gish, Mae Marsh, Robert Harron, Fred Turner, Miriam Cooper, Walter Long, Margery Wilson, Eugene Pallette, Spottiswoode Aitken, Ruth Handforth, Allan Sears, Constance Talmadge, Elmer Clifton, Alfred Paget, Seena Owen, Tully Marshall, Howard Gaye, Lilian Langdon, Bessie Love, George Walsh. Screenplay: D.W. Griffith, Anita Loos. Cinematography: G.W. Bitzer. Production design: D.W. Griffith. Film editing: D.W. Griffith, James Smith, Rose Smith.
Audiences in 1916 were unready for D.W. Griffith's narrative innovations in Intolerance. Griffith told four stories in his film, each set in a different era, and constantly cut between each of them. We're used to that way of finding unity in multiple stories, but Griffith's attempt at it caused the hugely ambitious and expensive film to lose money. The constant cutting from story to story is often frustrating and annoying, but mainly because half of the stories are not well-told. The scenes from the life of Jesus are too familiar and too scattershot to sustain any narrative drive or carry the emotional weight they're designed for, and the part that deals with the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre is muddled by a lack of involvement with the characters. The Babylonian sequence and the "modern" story work better, the former because of its wild spectacle, centering on probably the most famous set ever built for a movie. Constance Talmadge overdoes the striding about that's meant to suggest the Mountain Girl is a liberated woman, the equal of any man, but she's fun to watch. The modern sequence is the only one with developed and interesting characters, even if some of the acting takes time to get used to. Mae Marsh jumps around goofily to suggest the Dear One's joie de vivre, but when she settles down and starts suffering, she becomes quite touching as the woman whose husband (Robert Harron) is wrongly imprisoned and who loses her baby to well-meaning but puritanical do-gooders. Miriam Cooper gives the film's best performance -- that is to say, the one that looks most natural to contemporary eyes -- as the Friendless One. Still, the star of the show is Griffith himself, demonstrating his mastery at building suspense with the intertwined conclusions of the French, Babylonian, and modern sequences. We can laugh at the final scene of the heavenly host bringing peace to a war-torn world, but it must have had a different effect on audiences in the midst of World War I.
