After leaving the house party Eirik was happy to finally be at work. Where he felt more comfortable at, not only could he have a good time while working. He didn't have to worry about anxiety he got from being at the Estates for to long. Looking down at the young women Eirik thought about her question. "I'm not really into country music, but I wouldn't mind hearing Hardcore Country by Mickie James."
location: medusa open to: everyone ( @nightreststarters )
was it or second or third drink already? who knew. but for once, she was planned on loosening up and having fun. even for one night, it was something she deserved. "part of me is really hoping they at least play old town road." she said before taking a sip of her drink. or at least play a few country songs. with the party being a western theme, it would be nice if they did that. "what's one country song you would play here tonight if you were the DJ?"

Queen + Paul Rodgers live at the NEC Arena in Birmingham, UK - May 6, 2005
Photos supplied by: Tazman, markyboyt
Right at the end of the show the entire band tried numerous times to throw and catch a drumstick but they all failed - Paul came closest. Roger also chuckled when the condoms were thrown on stage (like in Manchester). During the concert Brian said that he remembered playing at the Bingley Hall many years ago and that that inspired him to go home and write WWRY - which received a huge amount of applause.
Fan Stories
“Been a fan since 91, and never thought I'd be seeing Queen in any form live. Funny thing is, only a couple of months prior to the UK Hall Of Fame thing which lead to the new tour, I got into Bad Company, Free and generally Paul Rodgers... and I thought: why haven't they (Bri & Rog) teamed up with this guy? Well, the tour became a reality and I knew I was gonna see them, no matter what and where. Being from Norway I figured I'd go to England and catch at least one gig. I ended up doing Birmingham and Sheffield. I got my Cardiff ticket the day they went on sale but I didn't manage to get a Birmingham ticket, as they sold out quicker I believe... but I found a guy who was selling a ticket at face value so I was extremely happy with that. Me and my mate travelled to Birmingham and got to the venue, where we even met Jeff Scott Soto. A great feeling when Paul walked on stage and sang Reachin' Out and when Brian came on, I was happy to be alive. TYMD sounded amazing, as did the following tracks. The middle bit was great too, even though I was hoping to hear more from Paul but it was cool to hear Roger do the bridge in Hammer! Another treat was the first perfomance of Bites The Dust! Back for the last part of the concert, Paul did a great job and the band was tight as hell! A really cool version of under pressure with both Brian & Rog doing the vocals... After the end of the gig I couldn't really believe what I'd just seen, but there you go, 14 yrs of waiting can do that to you, not to mention a superb gig, better than I hoped it would be!!! Next day was Cardiff - which I think was BETTER” - Eirik
“What a brilliant show at Birmingham this year the band was in really top form and It is really cool to see Queen back on tour and with someone as good as Paul Rodgers but it is really a shame that he was suffering with throat problems so Brian and Roger had to sing for most of it. What a brilliant set list (even better with the debut of Another One Bites The Dust) but it was a shame that they didn't do One Vision (one of my favourite Queen songs) but what a fantastic night. I can't wait for the DVD and to see them again at Hyde Park (if the bank balance recovers).” - James Starbuck

youtube
Walkers! I’m extremely excited to finally release Heading Home! It’s a very special song for me, because I first started working on it right after releasing Faded. I’ve performed it live a couple times, but never released it anywhere – until now! The extremely talented Norwegian artist @Ruben has joined me on this one, he’s amazing!
This music video is the final chapter in the World of Walker trilogy. Let me know what you think of it in the comment section below!

// LYRICS // Alan Walker & Ruben – Heading Home // LYRICS //
I was so insatiable Till the lights came on and the stories got old Now there’s no one here I know And the city outside`s not the same anymore
And I I remember when we were young We`d write our names in the sand So carelessly Then the rain came and yours was gone And now mine it stands alone
Nobody sees me now I’m a one man show I`ll do this on my own We knew it all then now this is all I know Guess I’m heading home now
When the music always played With the sound of our lives and the sweetest escape And the neighbours would complain We would turn it up louder who cares anyway Coz we
We remembered that we were young Our lives were grains in the sand That we Made our castles and kingdoms of Now the waves have torn them down
Nobody sees me now I’m a one man show I`ll do this on my own We knew it all then now this is all I know Guess I’m heading home now
You’ll find me I’ll be here I can see I can breathe, anymore
how could we have stayed you were high on love I was drunk on the pain
Guess I am heading Home I am heading Home Yeah yeah .. Guess I am heading home now
