I haven't heard "The Stimulus Package" since I first lifted the CD back when I was a teenager. This album is a classic and it took the release of it's companion piece to encourage me to revisit it. Together, part one is more fantastical with Freeway spitting stories outside the realm of his life, mafioso narratives and such decorate Jake's soul sample filled instrumentals, while part two finds Freeway more introspective detailing his thoughts on the recent losses in his life and other tragedies that come with aging while continuing to persevere. On part one Birdman and Raekwon serve as guest highlights while part two sees Black Thought, Jadakiss, Sauce Walka and Conway The Machine play integral roles in the project while the part one trio of "Never Gonna Change", "One Thing", and "You Know What I Mean" is some of the best sequencing I have heard on an album of any genre. "The Stimulus Package" series is nothing to sleep on. From front to back, no matter the year, classic work from the PA/CA duo.
