a short scaramouche x reader smau

SYNOPSIS
scaramouche is an enigma. you met him when his band, 4ERO, performed at your school, and soon became one of his biggest fans. your first encounter with him was embarrassing—you were caught dancing to one of his songs while cleaning at the cafe where you work at. to be fair, the cafe was closed, and there was no one around! after giving him his order, he left, but not without writing his number on a piece of paper. you two texted nonstop, saw each other often, but then, all of a sudden, he disappeared. hurt and confused, you didn’t know what went wrong. after a month, he came back with apologies, and you took him back. things seemed normal—until it happened again. each time he ghosted you, you forgave him, and it became a never-ending cycle. loving scaramouche is both the best and worst thing in the world. you're just a backburner to him, always his second choice. are you sure you really don’t mind crisping up on his backburner?
WARNINGS mature language, inconsistent timestamps, hurt/comfort, toxic relationship, scaramouche being mean (sorry)

look at me go, 재미 좀 볼 (new)

it feels so weird to be writing on this account again, but here I am!!
"A strange phenomenon was once again spotted around the globe on June 7th, 2024. Places like Mumbai, India; Berlin, Germany; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Washington D.C, US. Many people suspect an alien invasion. The last event occurred a year ago to the date, on June 7th, 2023. Governments around the world still have not yet made a statement about the reappearance of these wormhole-like ripples around the globe. Please stay safe and watch out."
"Humans are so interesting, their theories never fail to amaze me," Hyeon exclaims while taking a seat on the couch next to Yuxi. "Seriously? Their little theories just make us sound malevolent." Isa scoffs whilst stuffing her face with these "Cheez-Its". "Yet you're over here scuffing down their creation.." It takes a moment for Isa to register Yuxi's snarky comment, "Hey! So what if I am?!" "Nothing.. it's just a bit hypocritical, don't ya think?" Isa rolls her eyes before plopping down on the couch, squeezing right next to Hyeon and Yuxi.
"If you all are done 'discussing' then go to the store and pick up some groceries." Livi walks in front of the TV, earning loud complaints from the 3 girls sitting on the couch. "Why don't you go Livi.." Hyeon asks, "Because I went last time, and it wouldn't be fair for me to go again, would it now?" the trio gulp, a little nervous from Livi's scary demeanor. "Alright, alright! I'll go, the more I stay near these two the dumber I get.." Isa stated before running out the door.
Crap. I forgot my wallet. Oh yeah, I can just teleport back and grab it before anyone notices. Isa sighs, thankful that she has her powers. Within a second, she swiftly retrieves her wallet and teleports back to the street she was on. However, unbeknownst to her, two girls were witnessing the entire ordeal.
Isa turns around, making eye contact with two girls her age.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
"WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING?! YOU'RE THE ALIEN HERE!?!?!?" One of the girls exclaims while the other continues to scream. "BECAUSE YOU WERE NOT MEANT TO SEE THAT." Although it hardly makes sense why Isa would be screaming, the three girls end up calming down and sit down on the swings that were in the park. "So, you're telling me that you're a 'Supernova'?" Salma confirmed, "yeah, basically." Isa replies before taking a deep sigh. "Man, no one was supposed to know..." "It's okay, we wont tell anyone." Yin comforts Isa, feeling sympathy for the, well, alien.
"So like do you, like, speak alien?" Salma asks curiously.
"What......?"
"Of course she doesn't Salma, don't be a fucking donce," Yin replies, scoffing. "Shut up? It was a valid fucking question, cause how would English be her native language?" Defending herself, Salma continues to make wild claims. "Well, I don't speaking 'alien'. However, there is a planet near us where they call themselves 'Hypernova', I've heard stories of them having their own distinct language. Although, their race got wiped out by a radioactive meteorite. It was horrible, I remember that day so clear. Let me see... it was around 5 years ago, which for you all would be 2,000 years ago." Yin frowns, how sad. "Wait, you're 2,000+ years old??!?!" Salma exclaims, jaw on the FLOOR. "SALMA? THATS SO DISRESPECTFUL SHE WAS JUST TELLING US ABOUT HOW THIS PLANET FUCKING DIED BRO.." Salma apologizes before Yin could lecture her more. Isa laughs, maybe these humans weren't so bad after all..

isa's notes: helloooooo omg!! it has been SO LONG since my last book/writing-related post! I hope everyone is well, and I hope you all enjoy the new version of "supernova"!!! I miss all these wonderful people SO SO much<3333

The dream
Hi all, happy weekend! Ceritanya aku lagi nonton The Bear kan.
Lupa verbatimnya gimana tapi intinya Mike bilang dia iri sama “people yang living the dream: people who know what they like and knows what they want to do in life and in the end managed to do it for their life”. Kepengen jadi geologist, jadi scientist, posing question, working towards answering those questions, ke field, ke lab, write and publish the science to the world. Ngajar! Sharing my excitement with other people. Helping them understand how the earth works/ed, makes them ask questions, and think, too. The level of satisfaction that I get every day after work?… Betul-betul luxury…
Terus bisa-bisanya aku masih suka taking things for granted and just being entitled little shit. Well, emang kerjaan ini bukan yang ngehasilin duit paling banyak sih, tapi berapa orang Non yang enjoying their work the way you do? “Living the dream” they say.
Yaudah. Intinya mau besyukur aja sih.Jadi keingetan juga pernah ngobrol sama teman yang dia “iri” ngeliat aku karena aku terlihat sangat enjoying this line of work (emang kadang-kadang tentu aja depressed karena progress ngestuck misalnya, tapi most of the time it does look like, in his words, that I know what I am doing, or at least what I want to do). Most people bahkan sampai umur 30/40, they really don’t know what exactly they like and want to do in life. And it is fair! We still have a lot of time in our life. Tapi seeing people who just work for the sake of dapet duit, buat get by in life aja, mayan sedih denger/lihatnya.
Ah… to dream to live the dream…

From 20K to 2K? Damn, what the fuck is going on in Asia?
I’m wondering the same thing, anon! I saw someone else mentioning this and I agree; just because it’s the only asia tour show doesn’t mean people will travel from all over asia for that show.. flights, accommodation etc. on top of buying a ticket isn’t something everyone can afford (or are willing to spend which is fair like I wasn’t even gonna see louis on the 2022 tour cause the closest shows were stockholm or berlin. and that a fairly short distance compared to coming to jakarta from another country)..
but it can’t just be that I mean for the show in jakarta in 2022 the venue had an about 4K cap. and while I don’t know if it was sold out back then this new venue is only half cap. at 2K 😐 so is it higher ticket prices that’s the problem? because it seems very strange to me that demand would have declined in asia when it’s increased hugely in both europe and the US..
#also how can the promoter be so off about how many tickets they can sell that’s mad#what a mess..#anon asks#fitf tour 2024#jakarta#FITF tour asia

Day 22 : Long distance/say goodbye
Celyan belongs to @thal-ent
____
“... What the fuck.”
“Well, hello to you too, Cel.”
“It’s seven in the morning, Cyane. Couldn’t you call me, like, an hour later?”
Aaah, the half-asleep, full-asshole greeting. My favorite. Celyan really hates it when I call them early. Well, it's already evening for me, so, let them suck on it. And I don't mean my dick.
“Well someone needs to get your horrendous sleeping schedule back on track.”
“And it sure as hell ain’t going to be you,” they groan. “Is being on the other side of the globe fucking with your head? It’s empty enough as it is.”
Heh. They know they're the only one who can actually make it empty. I hear shuffling sounds on the other side of the call, they must be getting their glasses. I guess they can’t put the camera on, which sucks ass because I kinda miss their sleepy face.
... I’m never saying that out loud.
“Nah, Jakarta’s nice enough. Just… You know, super rainy. It's messing up my hair.”
“Yeah, saw that on TV.”
“... You watched ?”
A silence.
“No. Just happened to see it on screen at the bar yesterday.”
Yeah, right. A texan bar broadcasting an indonesian program about politics. Let's pretend it’s plausible.
“Uhuh. You liked it?”
“Didn’t understand shit, even if the questions were in english.”
“I'll explain it to you later then.”
“Were they difficult? The questions they asked you.”
“Well, kinda? They were a bit wary about having an american politologist talk about their system, which, is, you know, fair. But I handled it fine, I think?”
“Sure hope so. Even if it would be hilarious to watch you mess up in front of the entire indonesian nation.”
“Ha, ha, very funny. I’m telling you, people are good to me here.”
“You going to stay there for a few months more then?”
Urgh. I knew this was gonna come up. This is why I called in the first place.
“No, but… I got an offer to go to New-Zealand after this, and, uh, I couldn't really pass it up. So I… won’t be in the US for Christmas. Or New Year’s.”
There’s a brief silence on the other side of the phone. With Celyan, it feels like hours.
“Your dad isn't going to like that.”
… Yeah. My dad. Of course.
“He already knows. He’s a bit sad but he knows that’s a good opportunity for me.”
“Sure sounds like it.”
Their voice feels really dry for some reason. It’s always dry tho. More or less. Just more than less right now. No use worrying about it, right?
“But I'll be back shortly after. Like… Second week of january. And I'll come by your apartment so we can, you know, catch up.”
“More like you want me to get your balls back to their original color.”
“Ha! And what if I do?”
“I’ll make you beg for it, you know, the usual.”
“Pft, like I'm the one who's going to beg! Anyways, I'll keep in touch about the dates.”
“You have the keys. Why bother telling me when you get there?”
“Wow. And here I thought you’d have enough tact to come pick me up.”
“Strategic error on your part.”
“I admit.”
I look at the time. Almost 8pm already. Shit. I’m supposed to go meet some people for dinner. But I don't wanna leave the call. But I have to. But I don't wanna.
“... I… kinda have to go, Cel.”
“Did the hotel catch fire?”
“No but my stomach is screaming and I have plans. Well. If you're not working when I get back.”
“I’ll make it work. And I'll put the camera on, if you behave well enough.”
“Bastard.”
“You want me so bad.”
“I hate you.”
“I know.”
“I really gotta go now. See you later?”
“Yeah. See you later, sunshine.”
The call hangs up as my heart jumps. Nearly thirteen years and still that damned nickname has the same effect on me than when they used it the first time. I just hide it better.
I should probably get ready.
…
My room feels really empty all of a sudden.
Can’t wait to go back home.

The Best New Book Releases Out of 2024:

In today's world where everyone is having different screenings and digital distractions, I feel like there is something great and truly magical about diving into a good book. Books have the power to transport us with the well of knowledge, introduce us to fascinating characters, and make us think about different imaginations that nothing else can do not even this digital media. I love reading books and exploring new characters based on interesting stories. Let me join you on a journey to the enchanting world of books, where we can learn and explore adventure, knowledge, and inspiration awaiting on every page.
When it comes to new releases, I’ve been loving the Black horror girlie surge that’s been part of the Horror Renaissance, the latest of which is Dead Girls Walking by Sami Ellis. It’s a YA slasher that follows a girl looking for her mother’s body at the summer camp that — get this — her serial killer father once owned. Supreme horror mess of the highest order.
Another new horror title, albeit an adult one, is Diavola by Jennifer Marie Thorne. Diavola also has some family drama going on, this time set against a haunted Italian villa during a vacation. Finally, there’s the conclusion to troubled, half-Native teen Jade Daniels’s Indian Lake saga in The Angel of Indian Lake by Stephen Graham Jones.
Stepping outside of horror, Like Happiness by Ursula Villarreal-Moura sees protagonist Tatum Vega getting her newfound peace upended when news breaks that a famous author — someone she dated years ago — has been accused of assault. And, from the author of The Enchanted — which I inhaled when it was first published years ago — comes Sleeping Giants, a tale of foster kids, abuse, and real-life monsters. Lastly, Worry by Alexandra Tanner, is a debut described as “a Seinfeldian novel of existentialism and sisterhood.”
In the featured books below, there’s an entry into a popular cozy mystery series, queer love across timelines, a reimagining of Icarus, and more.
The Good, the Bad, and the Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto
isSutanto stays with her foot on our necks with these new releases, phew. After last year’s über popular Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers, she’s back with another cozy mystery, this time a continuation of her bestselling Aunties series. Here, Meddy Chan travels to Jakarta to spend the Chinese New Year with family. But then, a former fling of one of Meddy’s Aunties — affectionately known as Second Aunt — shows up trying to stunt with bougie gifts. Well, one of the gifts was actually meant for a business rival, and it being accidentally given to Meddy’s family sets her and her Aunties up to become mixed up in a decades-long feud between Jakarta’s business organizations. When things get really real — and Meddy and her family are put in harm’s way — it’s up to Meddy to save them all.
There’s Always This Year: On Basketball and Ascension by Hanif Abdurraqib
Hanif Abdurraqib is the National Book Award-nominated author of A Little Devil in America, and here he aims his poetic eye at basketball. With his usual mix of the personal and communal, he looks at one of America’s favorite sports, examining its history, who makes it and who doesn’t, and LeBron James.
How to Solve Your Own Murder by Kristen Perrin
This is being compared to Knives Out, which makes it perfect for the fun-seeking cozy mystery reader. Almost 60 years ago, Frances was just a teenager at a fair with friends when a fortune-teller told her that someone would kill her. She spends the rest of her life trying to figure out her own future murderer. Then, one day, Annie is called to her great-aunt Frances’ huge country estate. She’s been murdered, and it’s up to Annie to figure out who did it. Good thing the dearly departed Frances kept detailed notes on potential suspects…
Icarus by K. Ancrum
In this queer Icarus retelling, the titular character is an art thief, but one with a victim who kind of has it coming. Icarus only steals from the wealthy Mr. Black by replacing his priceless art with his father’s flawless forgeries as part of revenge for Icarus’ mother’s death. A strict set of rules keeps Icarus from being exposed, until he gets caught by Mr. Black’s son, Helios, one night. But the enigmatic Helios doesn’t turn him in — instead, he asks for Icarus’ friendship. This friendship turns into something more that threatens everything — even what Icarus and his father hold dear.
The Emperor and the Endless Palace by Justinian Huang
Across multiple timelines and lives, two men are reborn, each life proving to them the eternity of love: a young emperor gets seduced by a courtier in 4 BCE, an innkeeper helps a mysterious visitor in 1740, and a college student meets an intriguing stranger in modern-day L.A.
The Rise and Fall of the Second American Republic: Reconstruction, 1860-1920 by Manisha Sinha
Sinha gives us a new look at a pivotal moment in U.S. history: Reconstruction. Despite Reconstruction’s claim of granting true freedom to Black people after the Civil War, the country’s leaders proved to not be very concerned with equality after all. And, by looking at imperialist desires, northern labor conflict, women’s suffrage, and the Chinese Exclusion Act, Sinha shows how the failed promise of Reconstruction resulted in capitalism running amok and a special kind of race-based tyranny.
Blogs like these are immensely helpful for people who love to read different books which include their summary plots, characters, themes, and a major part of a story. If you want to have more synopsis regarding your favorite books you can schedule a book club event on tinyti.me website, where you can organize book discussions, meet and greet different authors, or get regular updates about upcoming book events or holidays.
