Y'know that one character you know literally nothing about but you're still extremely obssessed with them. Like I don't know you but I love you more than words can tell. I'm also terrified to write them bc I don't want them to be ooc. Still love them tho

I remember back when i joined this fandom that the prevailing opinion on Jaime was “he’s not on a redemption arc, he’s on an identity arc”. And like I guess it’s not actually wrong to say that identity is a big part of Jaime’s arc. But the thing is that every pov in this series grapples with identity, so thats not a theme exclusive to Jaime. And, why do redemption and identity have to be mutually exclusive? Jaime is trying to do better….AND he’s still a member of House Lannister and a son of Tywin Lannister. If anything, that particular identity makes his story more interesting imho. Then we can have cooler conversations about the extent of redemption and what not idk

From my JB solarpunk AU, Our souls lie down in the grass.
Brienne was eight years old when her mother, heavy with the twins growing in her belly, woke her up in the middle of a cold and clear winter night.
Brienne yawned and rubbed her eyes. “What is it?” she whispered, nervous and excited. “Is there something wrong?”
“Not at all. Come with me, I want to show you something.” Her mother helped Brienne dress warmly and then took her hand and led her, tiptoeing, down the hallway.
“Where's dad?” Brienne asked as quietly as she could.
“Sleeping. This is just for us.” Her mother smiled down at her, a beatific light in the darkness, and Brienne was filled with love. She'd been worried, with the twins coming in a couple of months, that her mother would be too busy for Brienne. She gripped her mother's hand tighter and followed her into the night.

Whatever Cersei had thought of Sansa Stark, she’s all grown up now. The twittering bird has become a honey-tongued snake. A capable snake: capable enough to convince her own brother to give her the chance to kill him.

another fic i may never write
↳ cassia baratheon, all their words for glory 👑
As the eldest daughter of Stannis Baratheon, Cassia spent her days in Dragonstone dreaming of a glittering future in court as the wife of a great lord. Seemingly her dreams were coming true at age sixteen when she was married to Henric Connington, the Lord of Griffin’s Roost and famed hero of the Rebellion who went against his own family to support Robert. Cassia believed herself to be in love, desiring nothing else then to be a beautiful bride, even to a man who’s been married thrice before. She ignored the rumors, the rhyme of divorced, murdered, died that spoke of the ill fate of his previous wives. But soon a fourth lyric would join the song.
Survived.
Three years later, Cassia was put on trial for the murder of her husband. A testimony of his abuse, the lack of a consummation, and a successful trial by combat declared her to be innocent in the eyes of the gods. The minds of men, however, are not so easily swayed.
After a year of seclusion in Dragonstone, Cassia returns to King’s Landing and finds she has become the subject of the stories she had once admired. Except now she is a figure of infamy as the whispers of Widowmaker follow her every step. Amid the judgement and the games of court, she finds herself forging an unexpected friendship with another marked by broken vows: Jaime Lannister, the Kingslayer.

Should Jaime be a dentist and other character future questions
The 2006 version of these characters still live in my head. They are who I'm thinking of.
So, should Jaime ever become a dentist? Brenda can certainly do college, and post-graduate education if she so desires, given her aunt - career ideas for her? What about Paco?
Do they all stay in El Paso?
Do Jaime and Traci have long-term potential, or is just a high school romance?

also (im still thinking abt the post canon jb au from the prev post) I really like the concept of jaime thriving post war. like he’s happier because he’s alive! and brienne is here with him! and brienne (bc I think she likes to watch him) would notice that he laughs and smiles more freely, that there’s no cutting edge to his smiles or japes and he’s generally more relaxed and laid back. brienne also noticing jaime getting more wrinkles around the eyes and mouth bc he’s smiling more, and his hair is starting to gray around the temples but it only makes him more attractive to her For Some Reason. she’s not gonna delve into why she thinks that’s attractive by the by, jaime is generally regarded as ‘Hot’ by the entire realm so she IS allowed to think he’s attractive too. and she is Allowed to like his secret soft smile that he gives her time to time, and the fact that she always feel nervous after but in a good way does not mean anything either. by the way. she’s allowed to think he’s hot too…!
