*Phoenix woke up startled when the cat jumped up onto his hospital bed. He rubbed his eyes as he pushed himself up, confused, before realising that there was a cat right on his lap. He gasped, and slowly reached forward, grabbing the the cat and pulling it close against his chest, burying his face between it's ears. He noticed the sign, and giggled upon reading over it. It was the first time he had done that in weeks...*

"Aww...! Y-You're just l-like me...!"

*He exclaimed softly, his voice hoarse due to its lack of use. He stared into the cat's eyes, smiling softly. His smile faded a bit.*

"B-But now I-I've got t-to make a c-choice...s-should I l-let you g-go and never go n-near you...? O-Or should I k-keep you w-with me a-and hide you f-from the others...? I d-don't want a-another Goldie on m-my hands..."

*Phoenix was conflicted. He loved the cat already, but knew it would get hurt if seen around him. He would decide when he's out of the medical ward. For now, the kitty's staying in his arms...*

Still thinking about that reblog about Gridania and I'm having Thoughts about my Keeper wol and the delightful AU where I sent her to prison.

Why'd she go to prison? She cut off a man's cock.

Why'd she cut off his cock? Because he was a woodwailer and an arsehole and he tried to attack her sister.

(Not to mention leading the local authorities on a manhunt for a few weeks after the incident, causing trouble and chaos in her wake. But it was long enough for her remaining family to leave the Black Shroud and resettled elsewhere, allowing them to escape any reprisals.

She's arrested, but the whole thing is a mess because because one of the moons was actively falling. A mess which leads to her being, quite literally, thrown in a hole and forgotten about for five years.)

She spends ARR out on some kind of special probation. Legally she is not allowed to used conjury as a rule of said probation (she was formerly practicing a sort of white magic that had been passed down through her family). She stumbles into a position with the Scions. At this point she is less an adventurer than a criminal in an experimental rehabilitation scheme. Her killing Primals isn't heroics, its glorified community service.

Then after she has successfully stopped the Garlean invasion, destroyed the Ultima Weapon, and everyone agrees the day is saved; Osha is arrested again. Again she is imprisoned, this time in Thanalan. The reasons given vary but boil down to the powers that be claiming that she is far too dangerous to be left free to roam, especially as her probation officer is thoroughly out of commission due to injuries.

Osha resigns herself to imprisonment; without a fight or struggle or wild goose chase or further injuries to Allied forces.

They're watching for the moment that I snap and become the feral, dangerous mad woman Gridania has painted me as. So, yes, I am going to sit in my prison cell and I am going to behave. Aight you want Rare Pairs? Death's WhiteRose. My ot3. Ruby/Weiss/Young Maria Calavera. I have people refuse to draw art of them because it's 'problematic' ignoring that it's almost always a Maria was born later au.

Maria gets two people who don't care about her name she can trust to watch her back (cause clearly silver eye warriors have to worry about salem trying to kill them so in that they can be united).

Ruby gets a slightly older S.eves mentor, Weiss gets people who care about her for her, and Whiterose get a more battle hardened battle bae who will teach them how to fight to survive.

Ruby and Maria are gremlins off the field and help Weiss relax as Weiss helps keep the two of them on track.

Weiss supports, and fights at range. Ruby can do either, but Maria is the close combat master between them.

Their songs are all counterpoints of each other (using Grimm Reaper as Maria's songs), they have complimentary colors, and Maria is absolutely the type to make them talk things out when the going gets tough.

Each of them is missing a parent, at least one rather, and they're all very very lonely people, and the idea of them finding companionship in each other is great.

If maria was young in canon I do have to admit I don't know if I'd ship Ruby with Weiss, or Maria more, but thankfully with fanfic I don't have to make such a choice.

#2 jailbirds

I feel like this gets slept on because it's a m/f ship. I have no honest idea why people ship Robyn with winter instead because Qrow outside of Ruby and Yang is the only person to show interest in who Qrow is as a person.

Clover usually just ignored Qrow's semblance or feelings because he didn't HAVE to deal with the side effects of Qrow's semblance, but Robyn, did, and does.

She stays regardless. On the plane when Clover got up and was about to arrest Qrow, Robyn literally goes straight to the nuclear option of 'i will murder you if you try to arrest this man'.

She, and Qrow are both headstrong people, but Qrow has shown he's willing to listen to her, and she to him. She talked him down from wanting to murder Ironwood, he clearly values and listens to her.

She built him a monument to his niece, and they have complimentary fighting styles (she can fight out of range of his semblance ala Ruby in the Tyrian fight). They're both the sort of fighter who learns the same way.

When the chance to escape happens the first thing they do is make sure the other is alright.

Time, and time again she has had to deal with his semblance (hey plane crash, tyrian escaping, getting arrested and so on), and the bad luck it brings, and time and time again she has consistently chosen to be there for Qrow, and treat him like a person and not his semblance.

Imagine Qrow having a bad day, and then Robyn just gently takes his hand, and tells him he is more than his semblance, and he's a great person worth getting to know, and she's not leaving, and then her hands glow green.

Just god man, but not let's ship Robyn and Winter because it's two women who never interact but are both from Atlas. Gag me.

So I was just watching someone run through PLA and I noticed something. Laventon says the village has only been around 2 years. In OOP, ingos been there literally twice the amount of time as these guys!!!! The “outsiders” hypocrisy has it’s more obvious points but like come on kamado and Beni wtf. You’re not old enough to even be trying to run a HOA on hisui, telling the clans their oversized bidoof aren’t on the approved list of decorations.

yeah the age of jubilife is one of those things that i feel like i have to retcon to some degree, bc the idea that a structure like galaxy hall went up two years after the first group landed is. ridiculous. i mean even more ridiculous than the existence of galaxy hall to start with. REGARDLESS THOUGH i do think ingo still predates them by a fairly decent length of time which, YEAH, they really do not have any leg to stand on complaining about outsiders or trying to decide how to do things whkwjhwjk. not that that's stopping them!!

I used to! But not anymore...

I used to have this lovely pet goldfish. A lovely lil guy. His name was Goldie. I remember I used to keep him in a little aquarium on my desk. I had stolen him while on a mission.

The reason I no longer have him is because one day (pre-death engine), he just disappeared. I looked everywhere for him. Had he jumped out of his tank somehow? Flopped around and died? I was scared and upset cuz I couldn't find him. It was sad, but he was just gone. I got over it after a day or two, though upset, I had work to do.

The thing is, a week later, one of the other agents walked into my office, smiling smugly, holding a plate with a tiny, cooked fish inside...

Okay maybe i should do more rants about my MCSM AU ideas bc like. I have a LOT and then a month later I see someone mention an idea like it and I missed my chance 😭 so let's just clear up a few things

WARNING: some things may be triggering to some, so if you don't like mentions of kidnapping, death, religious themes, and a few other serious topics then these stories are not for you.

DELUSION [Main themes: Religious Trauma, corrupt society, coping mechanisms] — This will be the main AU I post for a while. It might be finished around late 2025/2026. The entire plot of that is this: Jesse is a pretty normal guy. He lives in a small town in the middle of nowhere, wishing for some adventure or something more. Each night he has weird dreams of familiar faces and his mother, Ivy. Ivy is not his biological mother and was forced to take care of jesse after his father, her twin brother, went missing. Jesse, accompanied by Reuben, one day finds a strange portal he's never seen before and falls into it. He finds himself in a strange and wacky world with no escape. Things will quickly turn into horror as he dives into the secrets of this world and even the people he feels close to. Every character in this story is an experiment that either has or is based on some sort of disorder/disability. Not all depictions may be accurate, but I'm planning on doing more research. The scientist and made all of these creatures is Ivor, The Creator. He's treated as a god and even sees himself as such. Our World's Delusions is not the official writing and is only hints at the future story + random ideas I have that I write out so that y'all can see them. The writing is on AO3 and my only fic I have written so far

THE GREATEST SHOW UNEARTHED [Main themes: Imagination, Greif, Kidnapping] — this au is, of course, based on the song (nicknamed FREAKSHOW AU) The current story at time of posting this is: Ivor takes his son, Jesse, to a carnival. They soon get wrapped up in the plans of the evil ringmaster (Romeo) who steals and manipulates children to join his circus. At day, it's a normal and fun circus. At night, it's a horrific, gorey freakshow filled with some unimaginable horrors. This is the first AU of mine where Ivor is (FOR ONCE) a good dad (not counting me and Br0ken's rewrite AU. That one takes 2nd place)

TOYMAKER [Main themes: Death, Paranoia, Greif, Loss, Drug use] — This AU doesn't have much story currently!

FEARS/PHOBIA [Main theme: Suicide, getting over fears, Mental health] — This AU is mainly just major death. In this AU, each of the characters represent a phobia that Jesse has. Jesse starts killing all of them, trying to free himself from paranoia. Along the way, he gets tired of it. He tries to befriend some fears but soon kills them still. After becoming fearless and killing Romeo (the fear of death) he takes his own life.

FUGITIVE AU — this was a ship AU I had made because I was sad there was barely any Jailbirds (Reginald x Milo) content. The main idea: Milo would steal items and basically commit various crimes for Build Club. He'd get arrested sometimes, but was let go as no one had any evidence that it was actually him who committed the crime. When in jail, he'd talk to Reginald quite a bit and they seemed to get along. Isa, however, was tired of these constant crimes and the fugitive going unpunished, so she ordered Reginald to do whatever he could to capture them. Once Reginald successfully captured Milo, Isa sentanced the criminal to death by void. Reginald tries to protest, claiming that the punishment is much too harsh, but Isa doesn't listen and instead orders the guards to arrest Reginald with charge of treason. Reginald and Milo end up falling off of the island together mid-battle and fall to the island. Reginald wants to find a way back up and talk some sense into Isa, but Milo is completely ECSTATIC and only agrees to find a way back up when Milo remembers Build Club

ALIEN AU — random PolyOrder AU I thought of because of a narrative writing prompt at school 😭. The Old Order are pretty much just are aliens from a planet that is mainly just The End. They crash on Earth and the only person who doesn't like the new world is Soren. They decide to stay on the planet and study the world. They meet a human (Gabriel) and he helps them learn more about the world

BIOME AU — one-off idea I had. Each of the characters are celestial beings (or gods/admins) that rule over specific biomes. There's sections of the world for them to have these biomes and their followers/cults. A collab AU with @thegreatnure!!

AXOLOTL AU — little AU where the Adventure Trio (after Jack is killed in season 2) are revived as axolotl's and are found by Ivor after the Older Order breaks up. It's a small AU idea I had to while talking to @/thegreatnure

HIGH SCHOOL AU — collab au with @/br0ken-camera! It's exactly what it sounds like. There's not much story to this other than little headcanons that I'll post about sometimes

I will update when I make another AU or change something. Other than that, have a good day!!

TRAILS AU — This is an AU I thought of a while ago. The story follows Jes and Jessi, Player One and Player Two. They explore a puzzle filled game and interact with the different residents of the world. They find out what happened to the game and why development had ended. A virus had intruded the game and then the characters started acting odd, that was what they were told.

WHITE PUMPKIN IVOR — so. third AU I've ever worked on. It's pretty much what it sounds like and I might rewrite it sometime in the future.
